    "Good, I'm glad you said that." He smiled back at her, "Oh also, your father and I are going hunting tomorrow, seems we have found something in common, plus it means it'll leave you women alone to plan our wedding." He said nonchalantly hoping she would be pleased he was making a effort to get along with her family.

    Esmeralda was surprised, she smiled "Oh..how lovely dear. Im so happy for you two to be bonding. Hes never really been the same since the war.."She hummed "But he is still full of gold."She finished the dinner and wiped her mouth.

    "Wonderful, I'm glad you are happy. If you need anything for the wedding planning, just let me know I want this to be a dream wedding for you my love." He replied, he had finished eating already and was simply enjoying her company. He wondered what life would be like with a wife like Esmeralda someone who didn't take the title so lightly as the previous Queen consort did.

    Nicolai had arrived back at the castle, moving through the castles secret halls since they were so dark, he made his way to Esmeralda's room where he hoped she was alone. He silently tapped on the hidden doorway to see if he couldn't capture her attention.

    "Esmeralda, I had to see you again once more before you married him. I know you think you can change who he is but he has a darkness in him." He said embracing her as well, amazed at how warm she was. He had no idea what he was doing there with her, just that he felt drawn to her and to warn her of the ways of men, particularly their king.

    Esmeralda sighed and let go "My dear friend..I do not believe I can change him.."She corrected "We all have light and dark inside us. But my heart..it is bound to his in this way I cannot explain.."She glanced at him "Perhaps If I had met you sooner..bonded longer. Things would not end this way. But it must.."

    Nicolai took a step towards her, he couldn't resist it he grabbed her and kissed her. His strength over powering her human form as he held her. "If he gets to have you as his wife, I want to have you first in a way he'll never be able to." He gripped her hair, pulling her head back to expose her throat and so her eyes were looking into his, before he did anything, he said "Tell me I'm wrong and you don't feel it too?" He referred to the link that kept pulling him back to her, he was tempted to steal her and take her out of the castle. He wondered if the castle guards would hear her scream and what the king would do if his little flower was ravished the day of his wedding. He could always compell Esmeralda to forget about anything he did to her.

    Esmeralda was in shock from it all as she was pulled in such ways she let her breathing go ragged in such events. "I..Nicolai..I do..but it cannot be...we would be fooling ourselves.."Shesaid a little scared "If he finds out he will kill me and then no one can do anything in such ways.."She tried to keep herself calm

    He pressed his lips against her neck, fighting the urge to sink them into the vein he could feel pounding against her throat. He hid his face from her, his voice quiet he said, "Esmeralda," He took a deep breath, it tickling against her neck and chest as he moved his mouth along her neckline and downwards. With one arm holding her in place, he used the other to loosen her dress, hoping it would fall to the ground. He could sense that she did want him, that she was kidding both of them. Sure maybe she had feelings for the king, but what was between them was something different. At her mention of the king killing her he loosened his grip, slightly with a sigh he felt his fangs retract so he looked at her, "I am selfish, but you are right, I will keep anything you give me our secret if you promise to keep mine that could get me killed as well." He wanted her to know he had the power to take what he pleased, but was choosing not to, he wanted to reveal to her what he was.

    Esmeralda had gotten herself a little lost in the moment, being pure she hadn't experianced this. She felt the dress fall and she hugged herself once he let go she sighed gently "I..Nicolai.."She breathed "What could possibly get you killed? Your just a lord.."She was confused. But she would let him reveal himself. She was fighting her own morales..she wanted to keep herself pure for the king.. But did he deserve to take that purity?

    "What I am could get me killed." He replied still holding her, her form naked before him now made him pick her up easily and carry her to the bed. "Promise me you won't scream?" He asked, taking her nod as acceptance. He didn't ravish her or anything like that, instead he stayed on top of her, and pressed a hand down her to arouse her further, wanting to feed he let his fangs out he said, "This, this is what I am." He had one hand on her chest the other her waist as he leaned down and kissed her neck. "May I?" He asked, he was going to give her his blood as well. Bonding them in a way that would always let Nicolai know she was in danger, and make their connection ten times stronger.

    She took in a sharp gasp at the fangs "You..You're a creature of the night...my god.."She hadn't expected that, to be naked under him as well it was all a shock. But her own arousal got the better of her as she tilted her head away "Yes.."She replied accepting him for who he was. And once he asked to feed she closed her eyes "uh..Yes.."

    He leaned down and bit his wrist, and let some of his blood flow onto her lips. "Drink." He ordered, see there was one thing many didn't know vampire blood it would heal everything back to the state it was in. Before he sank his fangs he told her what that meant, if she wanted him she would return seemingly untouched for the King.

    She could feel it's warmth on her lips and she sucked the remainder from his wrist. She decided that the king didn't deserve her maidenhood. Not that he would suspect anything now that things would heal.

    At her go ahead, he took he fed on her, and made her his.


    When they finished, he stood moving away from her. "Esmeralda forgive me, I know you must marry the king but if you ever need me I will be here for you." His eyes saddened as he spoke.

    Esmeralda caught her breath gently "the times I need you..will you be there?"she asked as Shen stood and washed herself before putting the dress on and fixing her hair. Putting the flowers in right.

    He helped her adjust herself, lacing the back of her gown. His fingers trailed up her back as he answered "Forever." and he turned her around to kiss her, one last time before he disappeared.

    She could feel it, that bond he spoke of. She shuddered as she rushed out to start the whole wedding. Part of her felt guilt but now she could at least put it aside and focus. She began to walk down the aisle, with the girls behind her and in front. It was grand.
