Nicolai nodded he understood her concern, "it doesn't take that long, I haven't seen my maker since that day, she left me to learn for myself." He knew she didn't want it, but she would always have the option of turning her children when they came of age as well.

"Well..now you are stuck with me..a mere student"She hummed as she sat down on the grassy hill. "I still can't believe this has all happened in such a short time for you"

He watched her curiously, he didn't remember what it was like to be newly turned that well. He did know all of her senses were heightened, beyond anything a mere human could even imagine. Smiling a bit he suggested, "Would you like to try and hunt on your own?"

"I would.."She replied "If something was to happen to you.I need to know how to do things on my own."She replied thinking logically. She hoped she would do well. Bu she knew it was likely to make mistakes.

Nicolai smiled he said "Hunt then love, I'll be right behind you if you need help." His dark form stepping towards her, he had dropped his fangs out as well, he would be stalking his own prey as well.

She bit her lip, taking in all the smells as she let her fangs sink out and she opened her mouth to find one smell that got all the rest. She slowly walked, just following her instincts. Thats when she saw him, a knight from the castle that used to give her looks and treat her as if she was meat. She followed him to a dark area before pinning him down and biting hard. He wouldn't be missed. Not with the baby sons in the limelight.

Nicolai watched her for a moment, wondering how she would dispose of the body if she chose to kill him. He hunted as well, letting his prey live though and healing her wounds. He wondered if he should introduce her to the joys of feeding while seducing their prey, the taste of the blood was different depending on the emotions they were feeling.

She wanted to kill him, but she stayed back and let him fight with death himself. Refusing to heal him she stood and washed her mouth and chin. She sighed and hid him in a bush near a wall. Then she went back to the edge of town to meet with him once more.

When he spotted her, Nicolai stepped out of the shadows his tone scolding he asked "Did you heal your fang marks atleast? And compell him to forget about you? Because if humans believe we are back they will hunt us with stakes and fire." He knew she hadn't, that is why he had done so for her, not healing him but making it look like a animal had attacked him and made him think that is what he saw.

She flinched at the scolding "I forgot..Im sorry"She looked away not sure how to deal with this. She sighed and leaned on a tree she looked away before she climbed it. Waning to hide away. Wanting to cry. She felt so low. No one loved her, her daughters would be raised to know it ok to cheat. She couldn't bare such pain anymore.

"Esmeralda come down here, I know you have much to learn and you want some of them to suffer but you also have to cover your tracks, we don't want to become the hunted." He said, his tone softer as he looked up at her, he knew she was struggling with the change and he wondered if he shouldn't have just healed her instead of turning her. Frustrated he said "I've asked you to spend eternity with me, you'll never grow old, you won't change and you will become more powerful each day as you learn how to control your new urges."

"I..I know Im sorry"She repeated as she stayed on the branch "Why me.."She sighed more "Do you love me? Do you want me alive no matter what..I don't see the point anymore..Im so broken over such stupid things."One minute she had been stable and now she felt like a mess. All this girl wanted was love.

"Esmeralda, do you remember the night we met? The way we drawn to eachother? It's deeper then just love." He said reaching his hand out to her to pull her down towards him. He wasn't sure how to explain what he felt for her, he'd been in love when he was a human but she'd died long ago, but his feelings towards Esmeralda were deeper, and entirely different.

She took his hand and jumped down to him "I do..I wouldn't of given you myself on the day of the wedding if I didn't feel..very deeply for you"She bit her lip and wiped her small tears. "I just..Need reassurance..everything new and different. Im sorry to be such a pain>"

Pulling her closer to him, he looked down at her "I will not hurt you the way Edward did, I can't promise that I won't ever hurt you, but I won't betray you."

"Good..If you were to betray me I would lose all hope.."She admitted as she watched his face before she kissed him, wrapping her arms around his neck.

He kissed her back although he was surprised by her sudden burst of affection, wrapping her up in his arms he held on to her tightly. "My darling, you aren't a queen any longer, you don't have to be lady like, you can do as you please." He said, he was curious to see how she would react so he added, "Do you remember the ecstasy of our night together? That is how it is to feed as vampires, it makes the blood so much sweeter, they don't need to be terrified of you."
