    Plot !

    S.H.I.E.L.D. is putting together a new team. A team that will eventually replace the Avengers. Fury wants a fresh batch of teens to come under S.H.I.E.L.D.'S wings to be trained in teamwork, fighting, control/use of their abilities and so much more. They want to get this team started early, to get conflict between members dealt with before it is vital they work together. They are learning from their first Avengers Initiative. This team will spend their time training with S.H.I.E.L.D., fighting crime, and tackling life as a high school student. They will also have to keep their identities a secret, which can be hard sometimes. This is Teen Avengers Initiative.

    Rules !

    1. KeeeKeeey and I run this thread, so what we say goes.

    2. You must be semi-advanced to advanced! That means at least one paragraph with good grammar, spelling, and punctuation.

    3. No overly powerful characters! Remember, these are just teens. And nobody is perfect.

    4. Romance is allowed, encouraged even, but it's not the main point of this rp.

    5. Reservations for slots lasts 24 hours.

    6. If you've read the rules this far put 'spidey' in your other section.

    7. You can play an OC or an original teen marvel character if you wish. OC's are encouraged though.

    8. Try and keep genders even! If you see a bunch of girls, please don't make another girl.

    9. PLEASE be active!! Don't take a slot in this thread if you're just going to ditch it! This rp can go so many ways and last a long time but only if people are invested in it!!

    Powers/Abilities:

    Telekinesis

    • Levitation - Can lift most objects/people and self into the air. The more lifted, the more concentration he needs and the more energy it drains. At the moment he can lift objects and creatures smaller than a horse for an extended amount of time. Overexertion of levitation leads to dizziness/falling from the air.

    • Telekinetic Powers - Can pull/push objects away that are nearby, redirect flying objects such as projectiles and firmly hold people still. Can only deflect one object at a time, leaving him open to other attacks. His powers can be unstable with emotions, usually leaving objects to randomly fly away when angry. He can only hold people or objects still depending on the will of the person/creature, the size and his energy level. Using too much energy at once leads to exhaustion and he may pass out.

    • Shield - Can use his own energy or objects to circle around his form to create a form of warding. Taxes his energy greatly and can only be used for a short amount of time on self or another. Making it bigger requires more concentration and strength. Overusing this led him once to be out cold for two days.

    Personality:

    Lone-Wolf

    Ever since living alone on the street, Rishi could only ever trust one person; himself. Making friends was only deciding who was going to break your trust later and betray you. Living in a time of rising crime and superpowers made it hard to fit in or to be truly safe. He believes it’s best to stick to himself, and avoid unnecessary attention. Though for now he may keep distance, once he warms up to a person and sees they’re trustworthy, they become a true friend.

    Stubborn

    You could be absolutely right and Rishi would deny the fact with all his heart, that's how stubborn he is. He would never admit to being wrong, claiming he was always in the right mind or had the correct answer. Any solution anyone else gives, automatically invalid unless someone close to him. They could tell him to do something and he would do the opposite to solve whatever it was. He's adamant in any argument and will not budge from his point of views.

    Mysterious

    Almost nothing is known about Rishi and he won’t tell anyone a thing about his past. This leaves a ton of blanks for those around him as to who he truly is and what he’s done, and if he can be trusted. The only ones who know anything at all would be SHIELD from their thorough background checks.

    ADHD

    Rishi was born with the disorder and often acts unknowingly upon it. He’s impulsive and intrusive in other people’s business and is unable to hold himself back when he wants something. He can’t focus on one thing for too long and often spaces out or keeps his attention wandering. He’s unable to sit still, leading to the tapping of fingers or feet, and must constantly be moving. This leads to his inability to keep things clean in his home as things are constantly moving about.

    Origin Story:

    “Everyone would expect a hero’s story to start with a life of glamour. Let me tell you just how shit that idea is. I didn’t ask for my abilities, I only wanted a normal and happy life with my family. Life told me ‘tough shit.’ and proceeded to screw everything up. Everything went wrong when I discovered my powers, but was never right.

    I used to live with my mother and step-father. My mother was a good person; she worked for the well-being of others as a nurse, but could never get promoted. My step-father was an office man, and quite the drunk. I hated him, I didn’t know how my mother put up with his shit. When she wasn’t there he used to beat me in his drunken rages until she showed up as my hero. I suppose you could say I was always the victim. This kept up until I was eight and...they died. I’m not saying a thing about it, I refuse to tell anyone that part of my story. Deal with it.

    I lived on the street after that. I wasn’t old enough for a job, I didn’t have family in the area nor a way to contact them, and at that point I was a freak. I used my abilities to help me steal to survive, fighting on the street and making people fear me. I didn’t want to, but I had to. This continued for years. I couldn’t go to school because I had no parents to help nor was I old enough to do it myself. So I found my new home; an abandoned warehouse within the city. I made it my own through stolen items and kept it a secret using my abilities the best I could.

    I’ve had years to practice on my own, so I’ve picked up a thing or two about moving items with my mind. I had more control, though still unstable, and made my mark. SHIELD took notice and I drew them to my home with the scent of my powers. That was the first encounter, and it ended badly in a fight. They found me again days later, took me down and proposed a new deal.

    They offered me a way into the local school, and a job. Something called Teen Avengers Initiative. By this time I had heard of the Avengers, I’ve seen them on the news including the recent attack on New York. They reminded me of my mother.

    ‘Your powers are quite extraordinary, Mr. Prince,” they told me, “and we would like to see them put to better use than thievery and violence. Come work for us and we can help with that. Redeem your past, Rishi, and become a hero people can look up to.” I would be lying to say I hadn’t accepted.

    Fun-Facts:

    • He is blind in his right eye due to an accident when he was young, leaving two cuts scarred over the eye and the iris a milky white. The reason behind it is unknown since he refuses to tell anyone his past. Because of this lost sense, he uses his powers as a ‘guide’ to help determine everything around him.

    • He absolutely loves Oreos and is often seen with a small bag of them in his backpack at school. He’ll munch on them in classes, taking care to get the cream first, then cookie. He doesn’t share them.

    • He won’t eat most meats, preferring instead fruits, vegetables, and other organics. He’s not vegan, he just doesn’t like the taste as much.

    • He’s allergic to peanuts, much to his own despair.

    • Ever since the death of his parents, he has made his home in an abandoned warehouse about ten minutes from the school. It’s not a large place, but he set up home there and keeps it a secret to most. He plays it like his parents are still alive to keep people off his back and gives them a false address. Only people he trusts does he allow at his true home.

    • He steals for a living. Because he can’t get a job, he uses his powers to take what he wants. Or used to. The use of his powers left a strong scent for SHIELD to follow and on several occasions had a couple run ins with them that ended badly. Now he’s under their watch to make sure he doesn’t cause anymore trouble, but that doesn’t stop him from taking what he wants.

    • You could call him a neutral party, or perhaps anti-hero. He doesn’t do hero work, or didn’t, until SHIELD was on his tail. He’s a very unpredictable person in this regard to picking a side.

    • Despite the fact he just started school not too many years before now, he studies as hard as he can and is a great student. He may look bad on the outside and by personality, but he’s not all that horrible.

    • He doesn’t have to move his hands to use his powers. He could just use the will of his mind, however because of his disorder, he gestures with his hands.

    • His powers sometimes activate during his sleep, which causes broken items, flying objects and sometimes even himself levitating. These are invulantary and based upon the mood of his dreams.

    • Knowing how it feels to be cast out alone, he has a soft spot for stray animals. Around a year ago, he ‘adopted’ a stray dog he found wandering outside his warehouse for scraps. Rishi took the young female in and gave her the name Koda. She is a shepherd/husky mix. Starting on the street she was skinny, but now she has filled out nicely thanks to Rishi stealing extra food for her and even has her own special spot in his warehouse, complete with a doggy bed, feeding area, and toys.

    Powers/Abilities: Earth and Emotion Manipulation

    Personality:

    Brogan is an introvert lost in a sea of extroverts trying to swim- and doing well. She is unintentionally flirty and very much a hardcore tomboy who happens to dress rather nicely. Her hair is long and reaches her butt, but she often keeps it up in one hairdo or the other. She is almost never seen without her high-wasted shorts. She enjoys teasing other people and playing rough with her friends and will go to the ends of the earth to stand up for them. In hard times, she often isolates herself from others and remains defiant, often refusing help from people if she didn't ask for it (which she never does). She is incredibly stubborn and proud. Hurt her ego, and you're dead to her.

    Brogan is pretty open minded and has no issue accepting others for who they are-as long as they say what they means and stand behind their actions, their a friend of hers! She does have a habit of being swept away in high stress situations and often makes brash decisions which she thinks will benefit the team. Most of the time, they do not. She makes up for this though in her unwavering, intense loyalty to her friends. This insane loyalty can lead to her doing crazy things-burning down a forest or starting fights for instance. She is proud of herself and her friends. contently praising them and holds them close to her heart.

    Origin Story: Brogan's powers were latent untill she was 16 and watched Avatar: the last air bender for the first time. Her favorite character was Katara, and often she and her friends would pretend to be different benders and act out their favorite scenes. Luckily, the bending move didn't demolish the house or anything-just move a few rocks-but it was enough to allow Borgan to become aware of her powers. Later that night, Borgan experimented in the backyard and found out that yes, she was moving the pebbles. Just a little bit, mind you, but certainly moving. Borgan, excited over her newfound powers, studied the ways of superheroing the way everyone does-comic books and movies! She feel in love with spider man's style of witty comebacks and slick moves and told her mother she wanted to join the gymnastics team and debate. She hasn't told her mother and father anything about how long it takes her to get home from school and such, but she hasn't denied anything either. She hasn't been heroing long, so her powers are still developing as is her superhero identity, so she wasn't a big name- that is until she sang at her school's talent show and inadvertently caused the crowd to suffer through uncontrollable mood swings.
