// tbh i tried to make a riverdale thread forever ago bu t i got really busy and ya girl has sososo much muse rn so we're bringing it back!! wip for now while i figure out a nice mystery murder plot that has a twist on the riverdale formula so its kinda different?? i'm thinking about something involving secrets too to make it juicy but !! its up for debate lol. this is ok to be tracked, and i promise i'm gonna get it done this time so pls bare with me!!

our story is about a town, a small town, and the people who live in the town.
from a distance, it presents itself like so many other small towns all over the world.
safe. decent. innocent.
get closer, though, and you start seeing the shadows underneath.
the name of our town is riverdale.
and our story begins, i guess, with what the blossom twins did this summer.

by morning, everyone would be talking, texting, and posting about it.
we'd all be feeling it.
that world around us had changed, maybe forever.
that riverdale wasn't the same town that it was before.
that it was a town of shadows and secrets now.
on monday, the autopsy of jason's body would take place.
and on tuesday, halfway through fifth period, the first arrest would be made.
small town of clayton, ny, has a rather infamous death occur during the summer, where the teenage boy of a rich family supposedly drowned on the river that divides the town with [other town name] // the death of a teenager girl from a rich family who went missing on the friday before school started, although many speculate that it isn't entirely true. the town itself has always been a piece of innocence, the american dream often symbolized in it and it's historical architecture such as the diner run by [name] and the drive-in as well as [other places]. add more later describing town and people ig like who knowwwws just make it lit
however, no one would ever imagine what would be discovered on that first week back of school, when two local students came across the body in the lake with obvious strangling around it's neck and a point-blank shot right in the chest. the next day, the entire town stood still. if a pin had dropped, everyone may have flinched. their sleepy-hole of a town was no longer as innocent as it had been, and things would change forever.
