daisypaw never wanted to see a riverclan cat again. not because she didn’t like them—quite the opposite. but after she left them for skyclan, she felt too ashamed to show her face again. she would rather them think her dead than a traitor. and she wasn’t a traitor! she wouldn’t reveal riverclan’s secrets for anything, and if skyclan ever had to fight against her previous clan, she doubted she could lay a claw on anyone. that was why, when she noticed the river rising to dangerous levels, her love for her ex-clanmates trumped the shame she felt from leaving them. she was back, and she was here to help.
she made it across the stepping stones with practiced ease, but wasn’t sure where to go from there. should she return to camp? it wasn’t like she’d forgotten the way back there. but how would the riverclanners react to seeing her here again? the cream apprentice decided to compromise and headed partway into the territory, keeping a lookout for anyone she recognized.
