Okay okay XD
//ill try to have a decent start
It had been quite a long time. Days, weeks. Months even. Anik had moved on and up within the ranks of heaven. He was slowly but surely growing.
Tonight was something that happened every so often. A meeting of the opposing side, in an attempt to keep the piece over earth. Anik was said to join his people for the meeting this evening. How interesting...
——
Ashley finally got the chance to see heaven. She trudged along after her father, listening to his cane click-clicking on the glowing tile floors. She walked behind him with the enthusiasm of a prisoner getting ready for her execution. Finally they entered the giant halls, upon which she sighed angrily and crossed her arms, eyes scanning the place immediately for any potential throat to her.
The dining hall had been cleared specifically for the meeting. It was a waiting game now, at least until this meeting started.
Anik was seated by his father and mother near the far end. Quiet and to himself, simply waiting like everyone else.
——
She bit her lip as her gaze rose to scan around the place, gaze lingering on each member of the angel community, eyes narrowed with distase.
Anik could feel eyes around the room, he wasn't liking it either.
He moved to look around himself. A brow raising when he noticed Ashley out of all of them. Happy as ever and ready to start.
No, she was just like Anik. She wanted out of here, the same as him.
——
Her gaze brushed Anik's and she immediately turned away, wrinkling her nose and crossing her arms. Ruby nudged her gently, ignoring the disgusted looks from the angels and guiding her to a seat.
Anik sighed softly. He didn't say a word as he say with his parents. Both of which studied the guests contently. They waited for all to take their seats.
——
Ashley sat down, crossing her legs and glancing at Ruby, frowning. Ruby rolled her eyes in a what can I do about this way and she sighed.
The guardsmen walked over a set of women that held platters. They were placed on the long table for anyone who desired a snacl or drink at the moment.
Her gaze was fixed on the guards, eyes narrowed as she tapped her foot impatnently on the ground, waiting for someone to do something that would kill time.
Anik bit back a yawn, hiding it behind his hand. Soon enough the meeting was in session. But of course Anik held no interest in it. He glanced back at Ashley, just to check.
__ __
She bit her lip and caught Meghan's unusually dull gaze, looking at her just as boredly as she felt. "We're not really welcome here." The harpy whispered. Ashley rolled her eyes. "Oh really." She said back with a small smile. A low snarl cut their friendly chatter off and she sat up straight as if she'd been shot. Her father cast her a dark glare before returning his attention to the other leaders. "Shall we begin?" He asked, cocking his head impatiently to the side.
Anik glanced up as communication between them began. "Yes, i do believe so." Anik's father replied simply. He took much after his father, look wise. He held many features from him, if you looked long enough you'd be able to notice it better.
___ ___
Ashley had began to doze off a little but jerked awake as Arin's father spoke. "Mm?" She whispered to Ruby, who shrugged with an equally bored expression on her face, ignoring the hostile glares of the Angels. Somewhere in the back, Jason and Jackson were flirting with some kids and Ashley gave up existing. "Ugh." She moaned silently.
Anik sighed deeply, scanning over his parents before scooting up from the table. He stood, dusting off his suit and slipping his hands in his pockets before simply stepping out.
___ ___
She tilted her head quizzically as Anik simply stepped out. Her father's eyes were narrowed, fixed on him. His face was twisted with disgust. Ashley bit her lip and looked at Ruby and Meghan. They were glaring at Anik with open distrust on their faces. Ruby put an arm around Ashey's shoulder as if to comfort her.
Anik slipped into the bathroom, knowing good and well there was no time to waste. He huffed and rubbed his face, then ran his fingers throigh his neatly kept hair. It was so stuffy in there, the tension was hot. Anik hated it.
___ ___
She had begin tapping her foot on the floor, annoyed and nervous. Her father slapped a hand over her lap and hissed in her ear, "If you can't sit still, then leave this place immediately. I won't have you shame our family." She blinked, shoving him aside and standing up, striding towards the restrooms.
Anik looked himself over in the mirror. He hoped it wasn't to obvious how miserable he seemed in that room. Other than the fact he didn't like it period.
