"I'll be fine." She lied smoothly, rubbing warmth back into his chest with cool fingers. She gave him a tight smile. "And you should be now, too." She said, rising and turning, making her way to the first steps of Hell, her wings spreading.

Anik once again stiffened in surprise as she simply turned and started her way back. He say up despite her orders of rest. "Wait, you can't just go back!" Anik said, obviously worried for her.
"With even your friends scared for your own being, there's no way your safe down there!" Anik sat himself up with a pained grunt. Then hurriedly forced himself to his feet. "Ypu can't go back..."
-
As he ordered her not to go back, she froze in her steps. She hated being told what to do. Stomping her foot, she whirled around and bared her teeth at him. "Nobody tells me what to do, and I can go back if I want to." She snapped. "My friends aren't scared for me, you should be scared for them." She turned to go back, her feathers all standing up angrily.
-
Anik glared sharply. Though weak at this point in time. He stood his ground. "If you go back...then i go with you." He confirmed.
He wasn't leaving her down there with someone that had a plan if making more of those wounds, much like the ones that had been on her back.
-
She spun around furiously. "No, you are not coming with me." She snapped. "I will tie you to a rock and toss you into the ocean if it prevents you from following me. You can't go back n there! You'll die, for Satan's sake!"
-
Anik glared, sighing sharply. He used to wall for a bit of support as he stood there.
"Well what do you prefer me tp do? Sit and watch you get put through that?" He barked in reply. "Because I for sure, refuse to sit and watch that happen to you!!" Anik stated firmly. "If you have to sink me in the ocean, so be it! I'm only doing this because I care!"
-
She stepped back slightly, her eyes widening by a fraction. "Well then let me chain you up." She snarled, narrowing her orbs again and willing chains to form from the shadows. Her arms dragged as the extra weight hit her and she padded over to him, holding them out. "Place your hands by your sides." She ordered.
-
Anik narrowed his eyes at her actions. He didn't think she was actually serious about it.
"Are that determined to get yourself killed down there?!" Anik argued. Keeping his thick arms crossed over his broad chest. "Why won't you let me help?"
-
"I won't get killed down there." She snapped back, thrusting the chains into his arms. "That is my home, remember? Plus, I won't let you help because you'll. Freaking. DIE!" She ended with a shriek, advancing on him.
-
Anik glared sharply at the demon. "If its your home, explain to me why your treated like actual garbage!" He snapped back in reply.
"By your own father nonetheless!" He added venomously. Anik's angry gaze flashed over her, looking for something rationale and or reasonable about this whole situation.
-
Her nostrils flared as she tried to think of a suitable explanation to throw to the angel. "B-because..." She trailed off, thinking furiously. "Because he's always like that!" She practically screamed at him. "Ashley?" Ruby's voice called and echoed. "Ruby, I'm out here!" She said back before hissing at Anik. "You'd better leave before we kill you." Threat hung from her every word, her eyes closing to blackness, pupils dilated.
-
Anik straightened his posture despite the weakness of recovery that still lingered. He let his wings fold against his back as the two called after each other.
Anik's cold gaze locked on her, he said nothing. He let the poisoned silence speak for him.
This wasn't Ashley. This wasn't who he had seen on their dinner out. This wasn't the girl that was so flustered over simply asking to draw him by the fountain.
He narrowed his sharp glare out of frustration at the thought. Anik took a step back, spreading his wings and readying to take off. "I should've known...all you demons are the same!" He hissed before pushing himself off into the sky.

Ashley stared at his retreating form, mouth open slightly, dumbfounded. What had happened with this man? "No, not all of us demons are the same, you-" She let loose a creative string of four to five letter words in his direction, resisting the urge to wave her fist. Ruby padded out, a quizzical tilt of her head asking the silent question. "No, no, just a stupid family member." She said, brushing her concern off.
"Jade?" She asked, perking up. Ashley shook her head. "Someone you don't know, and someone you wouldn't want to know."

Anik gave a frustrated huff. He wasn't able to to very far in his current state, landing on a roof not to far from where he had sprung off.
He gave a heavy sigh and sat himself down. All of his bones hurt, the blood in his veins felt like it was actually boiling.
He needed to get this situation checked out. His body was healing through it fast anough even though he was back on earth. It concerned him.

➳ Ruby shrugged carelessly with a smile, linking her arm through Ashley's. The demon returned the smile and looked at the twins, before following Megan, who beckoned her with a flick of her blue-hued wing, feathers fluttering gently in the wind. Ashley took another breath of the fresh air before ruffling her wings, pressing them against her back and entering the doorway. "Do you want to fly or walk?" Jackson asked. Jason groaned. "I don't want to do any of that. I'm too tired." He protested. Ruby laughed, nudging his shoulder and letting fo of Ashley. "C'mon, lazy bones!" She chided. Megan stifled a small groan with a smile on her face.
"I have an idea and that goes for all of you." Ashley said, a wicked smile playing on her lips. The others looked at her curiously.
"Race you."

Anik made his way home. He checked himself over, knowing the best he could do was wait this out. He sighed with a small glare.
Anik walked over, hungry. He decided to make some food since he hadn't eaten in awhile. Maybe it would help him feel better.
