  • WILL YOU BUY ME A HOUSE OF GOLD !!

Gabriel knew that he was kind of pushing it by trying to do something like this, but it didn't really matter. If he wanted to be able to get back to how he was, he had to do things, even if the thought of it terrified him. Pulling his wings in close against his sides, the lion came to a stop at the border, putting down a basket of a few small gifts that he had thrown together in order to give it to SunClan. He took a seat, gaze flickering around quickly as he waited for someone to arrive.

His intent when he'd first come out this far toward the border had been to hunt, but when he came across the scent of Blizzardclan lingering around he quickly abandoned that in favor of seeking out the source. While his memories were still messed up he found he could recall certain things easily enough- the scents of the clans, his ability to fight, and vague details of his past included- he still wasn't able to place faces or names, or various other details. So, when he found the culprit he really had no idea if he'd ever met them or not. It was one of the things that made it all so frustrating, and while a part of him knew he'd agreed for things to be this way, it didn't stop him from silently resenting it.

Now wasn't the time to get bitter over his inability to remember though. In fact, Malakai had been working hard to keep those kinds of thoughts out of his head altogether. He trusted himself, so if this was something he'd done on purpose than he had to believe it was for a reason. So, as he'd been doing since he first came back and joined Sunclan, the blue and silver feline shoved it to the back of his mind as he made his way along the trail, finally spotting the figure just ahead.

As expected the winged lion didn't jog any sense of nostalgia or familiarity in him, but that was no surprise by now. From the looks of the basket he was carrying this was an ambassador dropping in for a visit or to give the clan an invite, and so he fixed his mask into place and approached. "Hey." he called, nodding a stiff and formal greeting in the others directions as he came to a stop before him. "Are you the Blizzardclan Ambassador?" he asked, tone and expression neutral.

Holding himself still despite what he wanted to do, the winged lion gave a nod in response to the other large feline. "Yes, that's right," he confirmed, before quickly pushing the basket forwards, letting his eyes flicker to the ground. "These are for SunClan," he added on quickly, taking a step back. If asked questions about BlizzardClan if needed, but for the most part he considered the first visit a way for introductions, not sharing news.

  • TAGS ✦ ✧ ✦ — Oh, it was Gabriel. The catsune made her way up, eyeing her Clanmate curiously. "Hello, Gabriel." She glanced at the basket. "Thank you for the gifts."

The other was quick enough to confirm it, pushing the basket forward before taking a step back, eyes down. Was he nervous? It was hard for Malakai to tell. He spoke clearly enough and didn't seem to be fidgetting, but the young sabertooth still got the feeling the other was uncomfortable.

[b"Thanks. I'm sure everyone will enjoy the gifts."[/b] he replied as he hooked a large paw under the basket to pull it toward himself. He eyed the goodies sitting within momentarily with a nod of approval. Sunclan was a diverse place with a variety of people, so he was sure that the basket would be emptied quickly enough.

As his blue gaze shifted back to the lion, a moment of awkwardness fell over him, as well. Socializing had never been a strong trait of his- at least, not the traditional kind. Malakai had never been the sort of person who was all smiles and outgoing, chatting up anyone with no shame whatsoever. No, that wasn't him at all. Malakai liked people, sure. Humanity was something he sought to preserve and protect usually, at least the innocent parts of it. But he was a worker, a soldier. He was most comfortable running drills with his comarades or following the orders of a trusted superior. And when he was with like-minded people he liked to think he did well on the social front. But in situations like this he always found himself lacking the instinct that was required to just relax, and so it wasn't until Tavi appeared a long, awkward moment later that Malakai realized that he should probably introduce himself. If this was the Ambassador then they'd probably be coming by a lot, and as someone who intended to stick around it would probably be beneficial to know the basics about each other.

"Hello, Gabriel. Thank you for the gifts."

That's right, Tavi had come from Blizzardclan too, hadn't she? Oh well. Her arrival had reminded him that he'd probably do well to introduce himself as well. "Oh, and I'm Malakai, by the way. Did you want to stay and rest a while before you head back out? The Capitals not too far, I can show you the way if so." he offered, figuring Thea would want their allies well taken care of.
