    Eden laughed at his remarks. Alexander did lighten the mood a bit for a few moments and made Eden realized how much he'd missed having his company or him by his side. "I can't wait till I taste those lips again either." He winked at the other with a wide smile on his face. He had missed the other's remarks more than he let on. He always thought they were amusing and funny. He appreciated how Alexander to brighten up the situation even though he had a sprained ankle and they were basically running away.


    The werewolf shrugged at his remark about where he got the pistol. "I had to get one so that we're not caught with only our fists for self defense and to help me finish a few stuff." He said loudly for the other to hear as he swerved between cars. His voice unintentionally trailed off at the end of the sentence because of how focused he was on the road. In the mirror, he saw the person that was chasing them flung in the air and the motorcycle thrown aside as the wheel popped from the bullet. "Good aim!" Eden cheered loudly.


    "Have I told you I love you yet?" He said loudly with a grin on his face. He truly meant it and his heart fluttered slightly as he realized that he did. He nodded at his remark and continued speeding off, but slowing off slightly so that they don't get in another accident. They didn't need another accident to ruin it this time. They didn't need anything to ruin it, not after he'd finally felt happy after a while.


    With Alexander resting his head on his back, he felt truly peaceful and content. He had missed having him close by. He felt happy that the person he wanted to spend the rest of his life with was right behind him, and he wouldn't be leaving him anytime soon. Content, he reached for Alexander's hand and held it momentarily, giving it an affectionate squeeze before putting his other hand back on the handle.


    They continued peacefully without any interruptions until they reached the highway that everything went south in. Thankfully, nothing like that went wrong again. It was starting to get dark and Eden knew that they had to find a place to stay for the night to rest a bit. He found a motel after a mile or so and slowed down into the parking lot. He turned around and parked at the back, though, so that nobody sees their vehicle, recognizes it then rats them out. "We're going to stay here for the night just to rest. We'll be back on the road tomorrow, unless you want otherwise." He said as he got off and took his helmet off. He took Alexander's helmet off before he stood and closed the distance between their lips, kissing him. After a bit, he pulled away to catch his breath. "Gods..I missed you." He said as he cupped the other's face in his hands.

    Alexander had felt a grin spread onto his own lips as he heard Eden’s words. “You really don’t know how much I missed being able to speak freely with you. Hell, I missed even just standing by your side.” He confessed. His eyes were soft with affection as he gazed up at the other male. He knew they had a lot to catch up on, especially with their kisses and other activities. Of course, this was before they hopped on the motorcycle and everything began to happen.


    He raised an eyebrow as he listened to his explanation as to why he got the pistol. “You better tell me what things you needed to finish later. That way I know if there is a possibility of something else coming after us.” He responded to the remark. He trusted Eden, to say the least. He just wanted them both to be prepared for everything though. A smile lit up his face at the praise he received from the other male. “Thanks! I’ve had a bit of practice.” He commented. He had to keep his voice loud so that the other could hear him.


    His next words made his heart soar. “No you haven’t! I love you too!” He responded, his voice clearly showing that he meant the words. He couldn’t believe his luck at the moment. Things were just getting better and better for them. He was relieved that they managed to get down the highway with no issues. His biggest worry has been that someone would find them again. He would always have that worry, he guessed. It wasn’t an irrational thought either.


    Another smile had formed on his face when the other had squeezed his hand. He had ended up dozing into a light sleep by the time they pulled into the motel parking lot. His grip on Eden hadn’t lightened any though. He peeked up as he felt the motorcycle come to a stop. He slowly slid off and walked around a little to wake his legs up. He knew he needed to change clothes probably, as his weren’t exactly the best. He figured they could find a pair somewhere. He turned back to Eden after a few moments, only to have their lips connect. He reached up to wrap his arms carefully around his neck. He gladly kissed him back, making the kiss to be quite passionate. He pulled back when Eden did, panting a little bit. “I missed you too. And I love you Eden, a whole lot.” He murmured. “If you have a bobby pin or something, I can break us into a room and we can stay there. Then we can catch up for missed times.” He said suggestively, eyes holding exactly what he wanted to do.

    "I'll make sure to tell you as soon as possible. Just when we're free." Eden replied. He was going to have to tell Alexander either way, he was just too focused on the road currently. He wouldn't want their runaway to be ruined by a car crash. Eden took the time they were silent and thought about how'd life be like if they just lived peacefully together. No laboratory, no vampire vs werewolf business. For the first time, that reality didn't look so far away as he'd imagined.


    "I love you too, Vamp." He said with a laugh, giving Alexander the same nickname he'd given him after they escaped. "More than you realize, even if I don't say it that much, I do." He said. Eden had his arms wrapped around the other's waist, hugging him closer to him. "Looking forward to that." He winked at him as he pulled back. He searched his pockets for anything and luckily had found a bobby pin. "It seems like I'm in luck today." He said with a grin and handed Alexander the bobby pin.


    He dragged him to the side of the motel that seemed to barely have any residents. After Alexander had sneaked them in, he locked the door and closed the curtains as much as possible so people wouldn't see them or even think that someone's here. He wrapped his arms around Alexander and pulled him close. "Now that we're all alone, I wouldn't mind catching up on everything." He said, nuzzling his neck and giving him a butterfly kiss.

    The words Eden was saying to him at the moment made his heart flutter. He knew that, no matter what, they would be able to fight through anything and overcome anything. All that mattered was that they had each other. “Wolfy, just think of it this way, I was stuck a month extra in that laboratory and a month in the hospital. That is two months that you have to make up on telling me that you love me. Oh, and two months of kisses you have to make up. You up for that challenge?” He was clearly joking with the other male at the moment. He wanted to keep this light and happy mood that was between them. He hadn’t felt this happy in a long time.


    “Well, deary, there is a lot to catch up on.” He had whispered as he shifted to kiss the other male deeply. He knew the both of them had dominant tendencies, but he could tell just how much Eden was wanting to be in control. He allowed the taller of them to do so. Once their activities were finished, he laid beside him. He was panting a little bit as he tried to get his breathing back under control. He shifted carefully to look at the male that was next to him. “That was really nice and definitely worth the wait.” He confessed. He shifted again to be closer to him.


    As he rested a hand lightly on his chest, and his head on the other’s shoulder, he thought of some things before he spoke. “It is really nice to finally be laying on a bed for once, huh? And not a crappy hospital bed or the beds that were in the laboratory. This one is actually super comfy.” He spoke gently. His fingers were tracing gentle patterns on his chest. “I never thought we would turn out like this. Sure, you have always been very attractive and all. But the fact that we actually are dating and everything? I never thought it would. Don’t get me wrong, I am so happy that we are. I love you so much and you have saved my life multiple times. I just didn’t think you would feel that way about me.” His voice was softening more as he spoke.


    He turned his gaze from one of the walls in the room to Eden. “I know that you won’t be able to get back to your pack now. I had a feeling you were going to try to. You are willing to make that sacrifice for me?” He asked quietly. He knew that once werewolves mated, they mates for life. It was similar with vampires, well at least all the vampires he had known of. He just wanted to make sure that Eden was fully prepared for the consequences of his actions.

    Eden chuckled at his statement. "Why stop at only two months when we can make it more?" Eden said and winked at him. "Pfft, what challenge?" He quipped with a smile on his face. He liked how Alexander always made the atmosphere lighter and happier with his jokes. No matter what they faced, Alexander had always helped plant a little bit of hope and determination in Eden; hope that the situation will end soon and they'll be together, and determination to try and protect him.


    The brunette didn't mind whoever of them was in control, so he didn't mind being the one in control. Afterward they had their "fun" time, Eden laid down in peace with Alexander in his arms. He felt content just being there, in each other's embrace. "Mhm." He hummed in agreement. He didn't want this moment to end. He didn't want them to go back to running away and looking for a safe house. He just wanted it to be peaceful already...he wanted this moment to last as long as possible.


    Eden stayed silent at the other's remark of how comfy the bed was. He felt like the other wanted to say something, so he didn't joke or do anything but stayed quiet as if silently coercing the other into saying what he wanted. He frowned at his words. "What? How would I not be attracted to you? You're handsome, funny and you hung around even when things went horrible for us. It may have taken me a bit of time to acknowledge my feelings, but that doesn't mean I love you nonetheless." He said and kissed him softly.


    "Nah. I don't need to go back to wolves who haven't bothered to try and rescue their own kin." He said and shook his head softly. He truly missed his pack even though he'd lost them at a very young age, but he didn't mind being solo. He's not solo either way, he has Alexander by his side. A smile tugged at the corners of his lips as he heard Alexander's words. He fully turned to face him and held his hands softly in his. He was silent for a few moments as he traced shapes gently with his thumb. "Alexander...would you be my mate?" Eden asked officially with a shy yet wide grin on his face.

    Alexander raised both of his eyebrows as he heard that. “Oh, you want to make it even more of a challenge? We could go for the entirety of your life if you wanted to now. That would be a challenge.” He stated with a very satisfied expression on his face. He almost felt like it was his job to make sure the mood was light and happy. He always hated when things were sad and serious. He was glad that Eden greatly appreciated his efforts in it. He knew the bond that they had would not be broken easily. His love for Eden was too strong.


    He knew that when they did this in the future, they could switch off who had been more dominant. He just figured that Eden would want to do so since they haven’t been able to show these types of affections in a long time. He used one of his fingers to gently trace patterns on his chest. His whole body was relaxed and he just seemed to be in a state of bliss. A happy breath was released from his lips. “I just wish we didn’t have to run anymore.” He whispered.


    “Of course I would stick around. What type of vampire would I be to leave the man who actually saved my life when he got in trouble? You were the one who got me out of the laboratory when you didn’t have to. You thought ahead and saved me out of everyone there! God, I’m so lucky to have you by my side. I love you so much.” He murmured and kissed him back happily. He kept the kiss sweet and a little short.


    “That’s true. It kind of sucks that they haven’t come looking for you. Are all werewolves, other than yourself, like that?” He asked curiously. He truly didn’t know much of their culture and it showed. He knew a lot about vampire culture as he was one. Maybe Eden could teach him more about werewolves. He noticed how the other seemed to be growing a bit shy, a light frown forming on his face. He was about to ask if he was alright when the other spoke. His eyes widened and a smile broke onto his face. “Yes! I would love to.” He spoke truthfully. He kissed him again.

    Eden shook his head. "No, we usually help each other, but I understand why they didn't come. Why risk free and alive wolves for possibly dead or captured ones? Moving on would be easier." He said, his voice cracking very weakly but continuing casually. That was the only evidence that the situation still affects him. He understood his pack's point of view and why they didn't look for him, but he at least expected a wolf or two to come searching for any other members that are still alive. He didn't like how he's still affected by a situation that happened ages ago, but he guessed that it's a traumatic event, so it'll take a very long time to forget especially since it affected his life in such a great way.


    The werewolf was ecstatic when he heard Alexander's reply and kissed him back almost immediately. The kiss was longer than the last one, but still cut short. He pulled him closer into a tight embrace. "I'm so glad you said yes. I was so worried you'd say no." He stated, still hugging him. "I think we should rest now though. We need all our energy for tomorrow." He stated, pulling away slightly but still cuddling with him.

    “But still. I have always heard that werewolves are very loyal to their own kin. It is surprising for me to hear that they didn’t even try to find out if you were alive.” Alexander confessed. He knew it must be hard for Eden still. He knew his own past plagued him. He might be very deep in love with Eden, but he would never forget his former lover. Eden did get his mind off of everything though. He truly didn’t know what he would do without him. He knew he would be dead though if it wasn’t for him. He was gazing up at him with bright and loving eyes.


    “Why would I say no? You mean the whole world to me Eden. I am grateful to call you my mate.” He spoke truthfully. He nuzzled his face into Eden’s neck before he nodding some in agreement. “That sounds good. Goodnight my love.” He whispered. He ended up falling asleep rather quickly due to the fact he had been exhausted. He slept very good the entire evening only to wake up early the next morning. He carefully shifted from Eden to get his clothes back on. His head was pounding some, but he figured that it was due to the fact he hadn’t had any blood in a while. He needed to drink soon otherwise he might pass out. He also knew that they needed to leave soon.

    Eden's heart swelled at Alexander's words. His stomach felt like it had butterflies and it was like he had a silly school crush - even though he hadn't went to school except for a small number of years in his life. He planted a butterfly kiss on his cheek as he snuggled with him. "I love you, Alex. Goodnight." For the first time in a while, he felt at peace with himself. It seemed like the future was bright for once and it couldn't be clearer that he wanted to spend it with Alexander.


    Eden fell asleep rather quickly, but it was light sleep. He woke up a bit after Alexander, his hair a mess and a bit of stubble growing on his face. He hadn't slept on a bed in a while and this was really comfortable for him. The werewolf smiled as he saw Alexander. "Good morning, vampy. I see you got up before me." He said as he swung his feet off the side of the bed. He got up and put his clothes on, gradually waking up more and more from a drowsy state. "We need to leave as soon as possible." He muttered. After he finished, he noticed that something seemed a bit off with Alexander. "Are you okay? Is something wrong?" He asked. His amber eyes looked at him with evident concern.

    Alexander had managed to mumble a soft response to the other male as he heard his words. That was before he ended up falling asleep. His sleep had consisted of wonderful dreams of him and Eden. He had needed those types of dreams after the hell he had been through these past months. His hope had grown a lot and he was actually happy. He knew that the future was looking bright for them. They were officially mates now. They were going to be mates until they both died. He was really looking forward to this. He loved Eden with his entire heart. He just hoped the other felt the exact same way about him.


    He turned to look at the other male as he heard his voice. “Good morning, wolfy. Yeah, I did. I slept really well though. I don’t remember the last time I slept in a bed that comfortable. You were super comfortable as well. I always enjoy cuddling with you.” He informed. He agreed with the fact that they needed to leave as quickly as he could. He didn’t want them to get caught, not after they were finally free. “I haven’t had any blood in about three months. Is it alright if I feed from you? I could really use it. He confessed. He shifted to move closer to him then. He had a feeling the other wouldn’t care, but he preferred to ask rather than just do.

    Same honestly. :") Feels like I just want to sleep for the whole day but can't. ._. ))


    "You should. Not everyone gets to cuddle with me, you know." Eden snickered, a lopsided grin on his face. He nodded at Alexander's remark. "Yeah, of course. You'll need as much energy as you can get." He said and pulled his sleeve up. He was silent as Alexander fed from him. Once he finished, he pulled his sleeve back down. "We'll need to find a way so you'll get a stead supply of blood. Feeding off me wouldn't work much i the long run." He said as he rearranged the room quickly so it's not obvious that someone's been there.


    The brunette opened the door just a crack to peer outside. In the daylight, they'd be rather easy to spot. However, they need to get back on the road as soon as possible. Once he thought that it was safe enough to go outside, he went out the door. He put a finger on his lip to gesture to Alexander to be as quiet as possible to not attract too much unwanted attention.

    Alexander let out a laugh as he heard his comment. “I am glad to hear that. I don’t know how I would feel if my mate was cuddling with a another man. You would have a lot of explaining to do buddy.” He teased some then. He was trying to keep the mood as light as he could. He carefully latched on to the other male and drank what he needed. He wiped his lips as he pulled back. “Thank you. I used to steal blood bags from hospitals. They never noticed them go missing because they had so many.” He explained. He leaned forward to press a kiss to his cheek.


    He then moved to follow after him. “If we don’t act suspicious, we could get out of state by midday. We could be double the distance away from the laboratory by the end of the day.” He whispered before they walked outside. He carefully followed him to the motorcycle. He slid his helmet on and then waited for him to get on as well. “Ready to go?” He murmured. His heart was pounding a bit, but he was excited for the journey.

    Mood. I'm amidst the holidays rn, but everything is still just overloading. Also, oo soccer. I'm so horriblr at it that I kick the air more times than the ball c'x )


    A grin came on his face as the other kissed his cheek. He nuzzled him back briefly. Eden nodded in agreement with his statement. "Let's hope so. I can't wait to get away from this place." He muttered back. "As ready as I could possibly be. I'm pumped to get out of this hellhole." He said, a devilish grin on his face. He put his helmet on and got on the motorcycle. Driving it away, he focused on the road and remaining within the speed limit so that the cops don't get too suspicious.

    Lmao I play competitively and in school and they are currently overlapping so I want to cry.


    Also, I was figuring this could be located in Pennsylvania so I will skip ahead to when they got to New York cx))


    It had been hours since they had gotten on the road. Alexander did end up dozing off during the ride, but his grip didn’t loosen one bit. He was still recovering from being in the hospital and all of the treatments he had gone through. He hadn’t heard any police sirens, so he knew they were safe. He could feel the motorcycle coming to a stop as they got to Oneonta, New York. It was a small town in upstate New York. He lifted his head fully to look around then. The view brought a smile onto his lips. “Wow, it is really pretty here. When did we get out of Pennsylvania?” He asked curiously.


    He turned his gaze to look back at the other male when he finished speaking. He gave him a bit smile as well. He clearly was much more relaxed now that they were away from the laboratory. He was so glad to be free. He just hoped that things continued to be good like this. He wanted Eden to start relaxing more. He knew the concern the other male felt was making him quite tense. “I’m sure you are going to want to get some food somewhere. Go ahead. I will stay here if you want me to.” He murmured. He moved to take his helmet off. He then kissed him. There was something that was drawing him to the other male more now. Maybe it was the fact that they were officially mates. Maybe it was just because he loved him so much. He truly wouldn’t know for sure until later on in his life.

    Eden had been focusing on the road ahead of him - and being as inconspicuous as possible - all ride long. He sighed in relief when they'd finally reach their destination: Oneonta, New York. He parked the motorcycle off the road on a small patch of grass and trees that harboured a view overlooking the whole city. Taking his helmet off, he took a big breath of the air. It was great to finally be able to breathe without the helmet limiting how much air he can inhale per breath. "An hour or two after you fell asleep." He remarked with a smile.


    Joy seemed to overtake Eden whenever he kissed Alexander. It reminded him of how they recently became mates and how excited he was to finally be free and out of Pennsylvania, most importantly with him by his side. "Food can wait. Let's just enjoy the view for a bit." He said and locked his arms around him, pulling him close. He nuzzled his cheek, enjoying how peaceful everything was at that moment. It felt right having Alexander in his arms with freedom and peace of mind just a mile or two away. Everything finally seemed like it was getting pieced together. "I love you, Alexander. I couldn't have been happier that we're mates." He mumbled.

    We made it! Unfortunately I have soccer tonight and I woke up at 3 am so I will die))


    Alexander’s hair had been plastered against his forehead some due to the sweat from the helmet. It was sticking out in multiple different places, but he seemed happy. He was taking a few steps around the motorcycle to stretch his legs out some. His steps were a little bit like stumbles due to not being fully healed just yet. His foot had fallen asleep at some point in time as well. Finally, when he gained feeling in it again, he made his way back over to Eden. He seemed shocked as he heard his words. “Really? I didn’t even realize that I was that tired. I might’ve just needed the rest to finish healing.” He commented. He offered him a reassuring smile afterwards.


    There was something that was so intoxicating about the kiss and the amount of love that he felt for the other male at the current moment. He had a strong feeling that it was just the fact that they had just become mates, but he wouldn’t assume anything just yet. To say the absolute least, he was very happy. He nodded his head some in agreement as he heard his comment about food. He soon was leaning into the other male. “I love you too, Eden. I am grateful that we have become mates as well. You truly do mean the absolute world to me.” He paused before he spoke again. “Guess what? We are almost to freedom too.” He murmured.

    Eden took note to book them in another motel - or even a hotel if possible - so that Alexander could rest. He chastised himself mentally for not making sure that his mate gets enough rest. His mate. The word echoed in Eden's head, bringing a smile to tug at the corners of his lips. He truly adored calling him that, and he couldn't believe that he was finally able to call him that. His head turned to look at the view once again, the sun beginning to set. His breath hitched in his throat at the thought; it's so close and yet it seemed to so far away for him. He truly wanted to rest from all this running away, he wanted to act normal for once and have even a semi-normal life. If he was though, he wouldn't have met Alexander. So, if he was to go back, he'd choose all the same decisions just to meet Alexander.


    "It's time to go now, my love. It's finally time." He said, a bright grin on his face. He held the others hand and guided him to the motorcycle. "I promise that everything's going to be fine from now on." He said, connecting their foreheads before handing him the helmet. He wore his own helmet, got on the motorcycle and drove off.

    Alexander hopes that this all would turn out for the better for them now. He had a good feeling in his stomach about this town. He hoped that they would be able settle down and make peace here. He had good thoughts about them starting a life here. Maybe they could even get married someday. That would be wonderful. He still couldn’t believe that the other male was his mate either. It truly was unbelievable. He didn’t know what he had done to deserve the other male by this point, but he appreciated Eden staying by his side through this all. He didn’t know what he would do without him, truly. He had saved his life multiple times as well. Alexander owed Eden everything. He hoped the love he would show him would make up for that.


    “I can’t wait to finally be able to settle down with you. We can actually have a life together!” He exclaimed, his grin matching the other’s. He closed his eyes for a few moments as their foreheads pressed together before he spoke again. “I love you so dearly.” He whispered. He gladly slid the helmet on and climbed back onto the motorcycle. He looked around with the grin still on his lips. He couldn’t wait for the adventure that was ahead of them.
