Wolfgang blinked away the raindrops as they assaulted his face. It was the first time it'd rained since he woke up in the forest. Rain felt nice. The flesh that'd been burned off seemed to enjoy it, too, though it was slightly more chilly due to the fact that there was no fur to protect it. The sky was briefly illuminated in the distance and short after followed a loud booming. Thunder. That was what it was called, but wasn't that a clan, too? The thought of it made him angry, for some reason. He felt like it had something to do with his eye or his face or something, he wasn't sure. He glanced down at a puddle, only catching a brief glimpse of his charred and scarred face before rain drops disrupted it once again. It seemed like, whoever he was before losing his memory, he must have had some stories. What if he had kids somewhere that he had forgotten? What if his mother and father were looking for him? What if he had a mate that was waiting for him? What the hell happened that day? It was frustrating. So so so so frustrating. The thunder grew louder every few minutes or so. Storms were sort of relieving, in a way. The rain was nice, too.

Fadedghost despised himself. He'd relented, and allowed SkyClan to take him in. To care for him, and help him regain his strength. And with every breath he took here, the warrior was afraid something would happen. That he'd be careless and lead a fox or something straight to their camp, and more cats would die or be hurt because of him. He was huddled in the warrior's den, when the rain began to fall. Wolfgang, the tom who'd found him, was awake, and looking outside at the downpour. When the first roll of thunder hit, Fadedghost flattened his ears. He didn't care if the other saw him, and made fun of him for being scared. Fadedghost was in a vulnerable place right now, a plate teetering on the edge of a high drop. If he was pushed another inch, he'd fall, and shatter. He was scared.

"Stop it." he had taken cover as well, skittering across the camp in the rain that he had once adored, to sit underneath the overhang of the warriors' den. Fadedghost's pale form was writhing, twitching violently as it looked at the same thunderstorm that Wolfgang (with quiet awe) and Wheatbloom (with disinterest) gazed upon without shaking in such a manner. It bothered him to see a cat in such a tizzy so nearby him, but he didn't want to move and get even more wet, so he had to make them quiet. He recited it, turning to peer into the den. "Stop it. Stop it."

Fadedghost glanced over at the SkyClan warrior, and tried to do as he asked. He curled up on the den floor, averting his gaze from the storm and trying to ignore the outside sounds. "S-S-Sorry." He mumbled, laying his tail by his nose. They're already letting me stay here, you can't be bothering them.

SkyClan had a lot of she-cats, but it seemed the toms in the clan were quite... unique? Wolfgang turned to observe the two voices. There was Fadedghost, who bore that odd scent when he came and seemed now to be rather frightened. There was Another voice, too, that was harder to hear. It was saying "Stop it", over and over. The other cat apologized, the second voice. Wolfie left the puddle he had been staring into- he seemed like an edgelord when he did that, so he'd refrain from doing so. He climbed up to the warrior's den to try and console the fidgety cat. "Are you okay?" He inquired. He wasn't about to judge another cat's phobias. Wolfgang might have had some weird undiscovered phobia he forgot about when he lost his memory. He couldn't know.

Fadedghost raised his head, looking at Wolfgang warily. Had he irritated him as well? 'Are you okay?' He hadn't expected that, the tom asking about his well being. "U-Uh, w-e-ell.." A clap of thunder sounded outside, and Fadedghost jumped. He closed his eyes, shaking his head. "N-N-Not r-re-eally." His anxiety about his clan was ramping his emotions, normally a storm wouldn't bother the tom so. "I-I-I know i-it's s-silly to-to be f-fr-ightened o-of a st-orm." Fadedghost mumbled, opening his eyes again to stare at his paws.

Huh, for some reason, he thought the other cat was fidgety for some other reason. The storm seemed like a reasonable source for fear at the moment. "Well, sort of," Wolfgang started. Oof, that sounded rude. "Fears usually aren't rational, though. I'm scared of loud noises, if it makes you feel better." Thus why he didn't like the thunder. The rain was nice, though. Still nice. He pondered how to make the other cat feel better. Saying "it'll be okay" usually didn't do the trick. "Well, if something storm-related happens, we've got your back." He wasn't quite sure what "storm-related" stuff was, but it was a nice sentiment nonetheless.

VALLEY WHERE ROSES GROW
"loud noises? you mean LIKE THIS?" valley shouts near wolfgang though the volume is reduced and overpowered by the storm overhead. while wheat is uninterested, wolfgang observant, fadedghost scared she is frustrated with it. "cant believe i managed to get trapped in this den with you until the storm blows over." she mutters. she wishes to be home with sky but she supposes the company could be worse.
she shuffles up next to fadedghost and wolfgang to leach their warmth.

Fadedghost wasn't too surprised by his response, but Wolfgang tried to make it sound better after, which he appreciated. The tom had a point, usually fears weren't something you really needed to be scared of, which was why most cats didn't admit their fears. That, and the fact that some cats took advantage of knowing your fears, like the she cat who sidled up behind Wolfgang, and shouted in his ear. Fadedghost flicked his ears back nervously, and mumbled, "Th-Th-That's n-not n-n-nice." He flinched away when the she cat moved closer, but she didn't do any more than lie down. Looking back to Wolfgang, he meowed "Th-Thank-s, g-g-good t-to kn-ow." Focussing on the thunder and lightning outside seemed to help him get his mind off of his main worried, by instead focussing on a closer thing that scared him. Fadedghost stared out at the storm, hoping it would end soon anyway.

Wolfgang covered his ears as a cat yelled in them. Ah, it was that cat. The one who strayed too far from home and indirectly called him a cannibal. Wolfie's one-eyed glared shifted pointedly towards the she-cat like a sword. He wasn't quite sure why he hated loud noises so much. He seemed to have a vague memory of humans screaming and yelling, the noises all mashing together and sounding like a waterfall of roars and cheers. The memory was gone as quickly as it'd been recalled. Perhaps this meant he'd get his memory back soon. He wrapped his paws around his paws, trying not to get angry. That wasn't who he was going to be. No, no matter who he was in the past, he wouldn't be the generic picture of a BloodClanner. He nodded, averting his cold blue gaze. "Yes, like that." He replied, his soft voice just barely audible. He looked over at Faded once more, having to move more of his face to see him due to the lack of an eye on his left side. Wolfie nodded, though he was sure the former DarkClanner was just saying that so he'd have something to say. Sort of like when you reply "good" instinctively every time someone asks you "how's it going", despite what the answer to that really is. Sometimes insincerity saved time, he guessed. He let a small smile work its way onto his maw in response to the she-cat's other comment. Disputing with her was a bit fun, he had to admit. Arguing wasn't suppose to be fun, but somehow it kind of was. "You are more than welcome to walk home. Perhaps the rain will wash the smell from your fur." He tried to avoid using any adjectives in that sentence. Negative adjectives would offend her too much, and positive ones would misconstrue the intent of his comment. A small smile remained and a glint of humor was in his eye as he watched the lights dance in the clouds. Briefly, the boy glanced at Fadedghost to make sure he wasn't having a panic attack or anything.

Wolfgang shot a retort at the she cat, and Fadedghost had the feeling he was enjoying what might grow into an argument. Fadedghost supposed the might not be so bad, so long as things didn't get too heated, but already he was starting to feel uncomfortable. He caught the look Wolfgang glanced at him, and shook his head in some sort of way to reassure him that he was fine. He was not going to panic because two cats were yelling at each other. They weren't even yelling, just disagreeing, insulting slightly. Focus on... On something. Something so that he didn't seem like an even bigger coward.

VALLEY WHERE ROSES GROW
oh dang she upset the cream tabby! how would sky feel about that? probably, not care. valley shrugs off fadedghosts comment and turns to wolfgang, sticking her tongue out. she can feel tension from fadedghosts side and a prompting scentence from wolfgang to delve into an arguement but shes not dumb. shes not going to fight when they could kick her out!
"smelling like mountains is way better than smelling like trees, anyday. and i would find shelter because ...... im really scared of water." she rushes the end bit out. probably not safe to tell strangers her fears but, when would she ever see them again?

Fadedghost blinked in surprise, when the she cat rushed into a sentence and told then she was scared of water. Not surprised that she was scared of it, though rain couldn't exactly hurt you, but surprised that she'd just told them like that. Fadedghost hadn't taken her for that kind of cat, and had been expecting another hostile comment to either him or Wolfgang. "Sc-Scared of-of water?" Fadedghost wasn't judging her, but he had thought of something. He'd heard that the Tribe cats had once lived behind a water fall before they'd moved closer to DarkClan. "Wh-What a-a-about when-when y-you l-l-lived be-behind th-the wa-terf-fall in-in th-the m-ountain c-ca-ve?"

VALLEY WHERE ROSES GROW
throwing all caution to the stormy winds, valley shuffles, keeping her head low so wolfgang can see fadedghost as well. he has a really good question and valley pushes on actually kind of ..... glad she doesnt have to pretend to be tough for these guys. tribe cats are all tough it gets draining. "i .... never lived with them behind the mountain. sky fished me out of the river. she saved my life and took me home." she sighs dreamily of her stoneteller. "i owe her my life." she beams at fadedghost simply.

The she cat seemed to be softening before his very eyes, and Fadedghost felt more comfortable now that she wasn't angry with anyone. "O-Oh, I-I c-an s-se why y-y-you would-wouldn't li-ike w-wa-ter th-then." A near drowning experience would've given Fadedghost a bad impression about water too. From the way Valley spoke, Fadedghost wondered if her admiration for this Sky went deeper than gratitude. Now she smiled at him, and Fadedghost wondered if he should say something about his past. He looked to Wolfgang, wondering if the tom had anything to say.

when it started sprinkling, daisypaw wasn’t bothered. even when the rain started coming down for real, the apprentice continued to hunt. it was only when she noticed that nobody was around anymore that she decided it might be best to head back to camp. she heard voices in a den and headed over with her fresh-caught vole. “hey,” she chirped, poking her sopping wet head into the den. the ex-riverclanner had to stifle a laugh at their apparent fear of the rain. “wow, y’all are pussies,” she joked, shaking out most of the moisture in her fur before padding inside.

Water? He could understand that. Water was so peaceful and refreshing, but sometimes it was merciless and its soothing rocking could lull a creature to their death. Once you were deep enough, the roaring waves could drag you down further until your lungs could no longer hold the old air, and would gasp for new air only to find themselves full of heavy, suffocating water. The thought of it made him want to take a deep breath. Water could be nice, but nothing beats good ol' air. "Fears exist to either be conquered or to conquer us." Nice one, Wolfgang. He would make a good stereotypical wise-elder-that-guides-you-through-your-journey when he got older. It was true, though. Most of Wolfgang's fears were intangible, and difficult to conquer as he had a tendency to repress them. If he had a fear of something like water or storms he'd like to imagine himself trying to expose himself to those elements as much as he could, but that was just wishful thinking- they were called fears for a reason. He was afraid of loud noises, and tried to avoid them, so he supposed that fear conquered him. Then again, it wasn't really a fear so much as an uncomfortable feeling. A pain in his eardrums. A strong feeling of annoyance. He glanced at Daisypaw, who had jokingly called them pussies. He gave the apprentice a little chuckle. She wasn't wrong- out of context, pussies meant cats. In slang, it had different meanings, some a bit crude, but still- she wasn't wrong there.

“...okay then.” daisypaw wasn’t expecting such a serious reply to her quip, and was a bit taken aback. it did amuse her, though, that someone had bothered to reflect on her dumb remark. “personally i think fears just exist to be annoying. like wasps and mosquitos.” she had so many fears, and all they did was hold her back from doing what she wanted. luckily, the fear of water wasn’t one of them.
