CloudedClan territory is made mostly of dense forest with some hilly, sparsely forested lands closer to the mountains. Several streams and pools are found across the land, and the ground underfoot is always weeping water unless in the driest of green-leaf seasons. Not far from the camp is three trees who fell in a storm that the elders still tell tales of. The trees have fallen together to hang over a pool of water that usually stands too deep for all but Bearstar to touch the bottom and keep their head above water, and it is several tail lengths across. This place is called Twisted Oak. It's the best place to teach new apprentices how to battle either in the water, or how to keep their balance on top of the tree's trunks. The upturned roots of the trees also provide a way to practice their climbing skills safely, and the clearing around them gives room for training not involving the Oaks. Another notable place would be the Pools of Protection. The land here slopes, but wide, curved rocks are set like steps, barely a tail-length taller than the rock below. Water too salty to drink flows quietly over these rocks, collecting in shallow pools on each stone slab. These salty pools are said to have strong protective and healing properties, and no cat can ever die there.

The camp is set on a hill in the middle of the territory, the land dry due to the elevation.
The leader's den is under the roots of The Dark Oak, which is a tree at the edge of their camp. In it's branches is where the leader will have their ceremonies and announcements and such.
The nursery isn't far from this den, and it's actually not that uncommon for the leader to wake up and find he's been invaded by tiny furballs.
On the other side of the Oak is a large den with several additional dips in the ground dug out. This is the medicine cat's den, and the floor has been lined with moss and various herbs on either side for nests. The herbs are stored on and in between tree roots and in dips dug out of the walls. There's a small pool in the back den next to the med cat's nest. It dries out if there's been a harsh summer, and some times freezes over the top if the winter is too cold, but it's mostly fine. It's filled by a small hole in the wall that flows when it rains.
The apprentices' den would be beside that. It's a large dip in the ground with a huge bush growing over top of it. The leaves keep dry in all but the stubbornest of storms or freezes; in these cases, the apprentices sleep with the warriors.
The elders' den is on the other side of the nursery. It's an open, roomy little nook in the ground with a fallen log over top of it. It's sunny and warm usually, and when it gets cold, the apprentices pack mud, leaves, sticks, and anything else they can get around the log to block air flow. Then they take it all off during the summer so it's cool.
The warriors' den is next to the elders' den and also is right next to the entrance. It's a pretty large hollow under ground with tree roots keeping the dirt and such up. The entire floor is lined with moss so anyone can have a nest anywhere. It's pretty roomy, so when nights are unbearable, the apprentices fit okay. It stays cool in the summer, warm in the winter, and it's all around pretty nice. It's not uncommon for the whole clan to spend the night in there if the forest is really suffering.
The camp is lined with thick bramble and thistle bushes fortified by mud, boulders, and branches woven between the existing branches of the bushes. There's only two ways in and out; the main entrance, and the tunnel beside the medicine den where cats go out into the forest to make dirt.
It is said that every time a warrior dies, their spirit goes to join Silverpelt, the band of stars visible to all the clans. Their spirit joins the ranks of StarClan and it is believed that they themselves become a star to watch over their loved ones. Every halfmoon, the medicine cats go to speak with StarClan in a ritual they may not speak of. A newly appointed leader will go as well, and they will receive their nine lives as well as the wisdom and strength needed to lead their clan.
Likewise, it is also believed that truly evil cats will be rejected by StarClan when they die, and their spirit will be sent to the Dark Forest. The sun's warmth have never touched the trees in this evil, blood-stained place, and it is said that cats who travel here in dreams can be killed by the dark warriors to prowl the land.
CloudedClan was created by a kittypet named Shadow. She'd been abandoned by her owners and left to die in a dark forest. When the ground seemed to flood, she quickly climbed up a tree and hid among it's branches, shivering. A loner named Sand saw her and was impressed with her climbing and jumping skills. So he jumped up with her, sharing his prey and also keeping her warm. It wasn't long until the two found other cats hiding in wet logs or soaked grass and convinced them to come up into the trees. Soon there were over a dozen cats hiding in the trees and sharing tongues, laughing and eating together as if they'd always been old friends. But when they found a young queen who was heavily pregnant and unable to jump up, Shadow made the decision to move back onto land to search for a permanent residence, as they'd just been hopping from tree to tree by way of it's branches.
Soon, two young toms she'd brought into their group ran back excitedly to tell them of a large hill they found with a place for a den. When they first got there, there was indeed a den, but it was dreadfully small and not quite ready for cats to move in. Sand had the idea of digging out the earth to make a den for everyone, and all cats in the group got to work. They dug deep into the earth, relying on the roots of a great dark oak tree to keep the earth still, though the cats sometimes shoved boulders or large branches in to make everything a bit sturdier.
Soon, the young queen was able to have her kits in the safety of a warm, dry den filled with the abundant moss found almost everywhere in the forest. Shadow and Sand had all the cats [by now, over two dozen] sit down to hold a meeting beside the oak tree, and they all agreed to stay on this hill, soon to be called Eagle's Nest in honor of the two cats who had found it, who had given themselves the same name when they had been found by the group. So it was that Shadow and Sand began to organize search and hunting parties while still working on the camp, fortifying the thick bushes around it as well as continuing to dig out dens.
Then Shadow had a dream. She woke up in a clearing similar to the camp she'd fallen asleep in, but it was magnificent. The dens were fully formed, the walls of the camp were strong, and the ground had been flattened and hardened by many footsteps. And many cats filled the clearing, easily double the amount she had back home. Above them all was a great and powerful tom with eyes the color of the sun. With a prickle of fear slowly giving way to excitement, she realized she recognized him. He looked so much like Sand with his blazing eyes and pale coat, but there was just a flash of smoke-colored fur at his ears and tail that reminded her of herself. Was this great cat her own son?
The great tom jumped up onto a branch of the oak, his tail waving. 'Let all those old enough to catch their own prey join here beneath the Dark Oak for a clan meeting!' Shadow's eyes widened. Clan? Curious, she joined the forming crowd. A white and black tom sat next to her, his green eyes friendly as he looked at her. 'I wonder if Sunstar is going to give Shrikefur's kits their apprentice ceremonies! Wouldn't it be great if we could become mentors!' Shadow found herself lost in this cat's enthusiasm, his excitement making her own fur fluff out in anticipation, even if she had no idea what was going on. Sunstar stood up, and she turned back to the great cat. 'There are three kits ready to become apprentices,' he said, and Shadow followed the gaze of many cats to the front of the crowd, straining her neck to see. A pure white she-cat stood proudly next to three kits. A brown and white tabby she-cat was nearly bouncing around in her excitement, while her darker brother sat more calmly next to her. But it was the white and pale grey tabby she watched. His head was angled up proudly, and determination glittered in his pale yellow eyes. Shadow couldn't help the flash of admiration she felt for this tom.
'Thistlekit, step forward.' Sunstar said, yanking her out of her stare. The darker brown tabby's ears flicked in anxious surprise and then slowly shuffled forward when his mother nudged him gently. Sunstar smiled down at him. 'From this moment, until he has earned his warrior name, this cat will be called Thistlepaw.' Sunstar's blazing eyes swept through the crowd. 'Sootfur, you are ready for your second apprentice. You trained young Cloudedheart, and she has become a fine warrior of our clan.' A pale grey tom stood up and made his way to the front, but his blue eyes found Shadow's own and he nodded at her proudly. The tom next to her nudged her with the same pride glittering in his eyes, and Shadow realized with a start that this 'Cloudedheart' was herself!
'Sootfur, you've shown great courage and strength, and fierce loyalty. I know you will pass on everything you know to young Thistlepaw.' Sootfur nodded and bent his head, touching noses with the newly named apprentice. They moved to the side of the group, and Shadow could just barely hear Sootfur's low voice as they spoke.
'Crowkit, step forward.' This time, the little brown and white kit bounced forward, nearly shivering with excitement. 'From this day forward, until she has earned her warrior name, she will be called Crowpaw.' 'Crowpaw!' the apprentice squeaked, then ducked her head in embarrassment. Shadow liked her enthusiasm.
'Ravenfrost! You are ready for your first apprentice.' The black and white tom sitting beside Shadow stiffened, green eyes wide in shock. Shadow couldn't help a small meow of excitement and leaned over to shove him forward. He stumbled and flicked her face with his tail in a friendly way as he trotted to the front of the crowd. Shadow knew her eyes were glowing with pride as she watched her friend. Sunstar's eyes glowed, too. 'Ravenfrost, you were lucky enough to be trained by two great warriors. Tigerfoot would be proud to see his apprentice grow with such strength, and I know Lilysong is proud of you as well.' Shadow turned to see a cream colored she-cat smile brightly at Ravenfrost, and she couldn't help but wonder what happened to Tigerfoot. 'Ravenfrost, you will be mentor to Crowpaw. You've shown cunning and wit, and a sense of justice we could all learn from. I know you will pass on everything you know to Crowpaw.' Shadow watched with pride as Ravenfrost dipped his head to touch Crowpaw's nose with her own. Then Sunstar turned towards the last kit, who was already padding up as Ravenfrost and Crowpaw went to stand beside Sootfur and Thistlepaw.
'From this day forward, until he has earned his warrior name, he shall be called Silveredpaw.' Shadow smiled as she watched the little tom shiver with the weight of his new name and responsibilities. 'Cloudedheart!' Her head whipped up to meet Sunstar's blazing eyes. He smiled gently at her, realizing he'd startled her. 'You are ready for your first apprentice. Sootfur was your mentor, and we all saw how quickly you became a great warrior.'
Heart pounding in her ears, Shadow stood and slipped through the crowd, making her way to where she'd seen Sootfur and Ravenfrost stand. 'Cloudedheart, you've shown brilliance, determination, and a strength that comes from the heart of the truest warrior. I know you will pass on everything that you know to Silveredpaw.'
Shadedheart turned and, shivering, met Silveredpaw's pale eyes with her own. She bent her head slowly and gently touched her nose to his. As soon as she did, the crowd seemed to erupt. 'Thistlepaw! Crowpaw! Silveredpaw! Thistlepaw! Crowpaw! Silveredpaw!'
Shadow awake with a start, looking up into Sand's amber eyes. She smiled gently at him and lifted her head to brush her muzzle across his cheek. The tom purred and licked her ear, and Shadow could just barely feel the soft movement in her belly from the kits she now knew existed. Shadow sat up and, barely giving herself time to groom, ran out of the den still under construction and leaped to the branch Sunstar has stood on. She could almost imagine the way the bark here would be worn smooth by the generations of leaders, and her heart soared as she called the very first clan meeting. A familiar black and white tom stared up at her with wide green eyes, and she recognized Ravenfrost. He stared up at her, green eyes glowing, and she knew he'd felt the realness of her dream just as much as she herself did. She looked proudly down at the cats gathering below her, their confusion only making her more excited as she started explaining why she'd called them. There was work to be done, after all.
Every new-leaf, all cats of the clan celebrate by holding a special ceremony. The cats go out into the forest to participate in a number of competitions, such as mock-battle, races either on ground or in the trees, hunting, climbing, or even swimming if the weather has been kind and their streams are deep enough to swim in. During this time, other clans may note a distinct lack of hostility of CloudedClan cats, as these competitions rise spirits and resolve any internal problems with the clan.
The main reason the other four clans believe CloudedClan to be viscous and brutal are the fights. It is well known that the cats of CloudedClan often come together in battle, cheered on by their clanmates. But a cat inside the clan would know that these battles are completely safe. It is custom to go to the leader when two or more cats have a problem with each other. The leader would then grant these cats the permission to fight in the camp with the rest of the clan keeping to the edges to watch. There are several rules in place for these battles, such as claws must be sheathed and there must not be killing force within their bites. Blood may be drawn on accident, and if it is, the fight is usually called as a draw and stopped with the injured cat going to the medicine den. These fights help resolves tensions and keep the clan running smoothly.
•Defend your Clan, even with your life. You may have friendships with cats from other Clans, but your loyalty must remain to your Clan, as one day you may meet them in battle.
•Do not hunt or trespass on another Clan's territory.
•Elders, queens, and kits must be fed before apprentices and warriors. Unless they have permission, apprentices may not eat until they have hunted to feed the elders. If any warrior or apprentice is sick or injured, they may eat while the elders, queens, and kits are eating.
•Prey is killed only to be eaten. Give thanks to StarClan for its life.
•A kit must be at least six moons old to become an apprentice.
•Newly appointed warriors will keep a silent vigil for one night after receiving their warrior name.
•A cat cannot be made deputy without having mentored at least one apprentice.
•The deputy will become Clan leader when the leader dies, retires or is exiled.
•After the death or retirement of the deputy, the new deputy must be chosen before moonhigh.
•A Gathering of all Clans is held at the full moon during a truce that lasts for the night. There shall be no fighting among Clans at this time.
•Boundaries must be checked and marked daily. Challenge all trespassing cats.
•No warrior can neglect a kit in pain or danger, even if the kit is from a different Clan.
•The word of the Clan leader is the warrior code.
•An honorable warrior does not need to kill other cats to win their battles, unless they are outside the warrior code or if it is necessary for self-defense.
•A warrior rejects the soft life of a kittypet.
•Each Clan has the right to be proud and independent, but in times of trouble they must forget their boundaries and fight side by side to protect the clans. Each Clan must help the others so that no Clan will fall.

Other Non-Herbal Treatments:
1. Gently nipping a cat's spine or poking it hard with a claw tests to see if the backbone is broken. If the subject does not feel the nip or poke, then the spine is broken. Many times a medicine cat will have to poke/nip the subject multiple times in different places to find the break.
2. Licking a cat's fur can help clean wounds, comfort/calm down a shocked or grieving cat, and warm a cat who has become very cold. (Lick the cat's fur the wrong way to do this. The last method is most often used on kits.)
3. Soaking moss in water and holding the dripping moss before a sick, injured or weak cat makes it easier for them to drink. Soaked moss can also be used to cool feverish cats.
4. Rosemary or mint can be used to lighten the death-scent of a dead cat before burial.
5. Using nectar, honey or mouse blood can make herbs sweeter and more appealing to cats--therefore making it easier to take the medicine.
6. Holding a swelling wound in cold water takes down swelling. Cats can also soothe scraped pads by soaking them in water.
7. A cat with weak or hurting muscles/bone can take part in water therapy. Have them wade in water that is not too deep or shallow, and eventually they'll get stronger.
8. Having a sick cat wail or yowl keeps their lungs and chest clear of mucus.
Taking Care of Your Herbs:
Here is how a medicine cat should keep their herbs fresh and usable.
--If any herbs are wet, leave them out in the sun until they dry.
--Gather fresh herbs when your stock gets low.
--Leave enough of the herb on the plant you use for gathering it so it can reproduce
--Check your store often and throw out old herbs or herbs that have lost their healing qualities.
Other Herbs To Keep in the Medicine Den:
Note: ONLY use these herbs for self-defense against a cat who is a danger to all the Clans, or if a cat from your own Clan asks for a quick, painless path to StarClan while on his or her deathbed.
Holly Berries: Kills a cat within minutes when consumed.
Deathberries (Yew berries): Kills a cat within minutes when consumed.
Foxglove Seeds: They can easily cause paralysis and heart failure. Can rarely be used to treat the heart.
Deadly Nightshade: Will quickly kill a cat who cannot be saved.
Water Hemlock: Causes writhing, pain, and foaming at the mouth.
The herbs listed above can also be used as traps for dangerous predators. (Snakes, mountain lions, foxes, badgers, ect.) Stuff a piece of fresh-kill with them and set it near the predator's den. They will die quickly.

Secondary ranks can apply to any cat that has passed their assessment test, though the leader may decide otherwise for certain individuals. These ranks are not full time ranks, but rather extra activities and duties a cat must do if that ranks applies to them. A cat cannot have more than two secondary ranks at a time, but may change these ranks when approved by the medicine cats, senior warrior, or deputy. The leader will only handle this if special circumstances are met.
The only exception to this are Guards, as they are seen as cats who are as much of a guard as they are a warrior.

•No Mary or Gary Sues.
•No meet me's.
•Please use somewhat realistic names.
•No wings, odd coloring, or powers for/on your cat
•Try to keep genders even.
•Please no bullying of anyone's race, gender, religion, or sexuality in character or out of character.
•No OOC drama is encouraged, nor tolerated. If there is something that bothers you, tell me please.
•Try to at least post four or more sentences for your cat(s). I understand low muse or you're in a hurry. But please try.
•Mating and birthing scenes must be faded in and out.
•No kits having kits. The youngest a cat can be to have kits is ten moons. This is not accurate to real life, but since clans are not true to real life anyway, please stick to this rule.
•You're allowed as many cats as you can handle, but you must be able to handle them.
•No killing off people's cats without asking that person first.
•No perfect cats; no cat is the fastest, best hunter, and best fighter in the whole clan. Give your cat some flaws! Make them relatable.
•LBGTQ cats are always accepted but there still needs to be male/female pairs who will produce kits so the clan can grow.
•IC drama is highly encouraged. Make enemies, friends, and everything in between! Integrate your cat(s) in with the whole clan ^^
•Cursing is allowed, but don't have it every other word. Regular cat curses are fine as well ^^
•Please be aware that it's not natural or normal for a clan to accept an outsider. I'd like to keep this as close to the books as possible and have the motives of that cat be questioned constantly. An outsider cat will have to prove their worth.
•Have fun!
There's not special passcode you need to type in to be accepted. I trust you to read the rules without me needing to trick you.
