  • Wolfgang was taking a bit of a vacation. So far, he'd met one SkyClanner- Poppystar- and rather liked her. She seemed different from other clan leaders. Usually they were stuck up and overly hostile, but Poppystar seemed more like Caledon- relaxed. He hoped all SkyClanners were like that. He wondered why they were trying to make alliances with a clan as pitiful as RiverClan when they could be making allies with a cool clan like SkyClan. He lingered around SkyClan a bit after his conversation with Poppy ended, searching a bit more for a rabbit to bring his little brother. Hopefully he wouldn't have to make the lengthy trip to WindClan.

    I WILL PULL IT TOGETHER—

    "Hey there," a voice purred from the canopy.

    Sunbrindle, a tortoiseshell with bright green eyes, leaped down from the treetops. She landed on a lower branch, no part of her touching the ground or even close to it, but low enough she could converse easily with the stranger. The molly loved to hunt, and she loved being in the treetops; she was far less agile on the ground and she thus far preferred to stay in the trees.

    "What're you doing here, stranger?" she asked cheerfully. The only time she was really happy was when she was hunting-- other than that she tended to feel some kind of numb hopelessness, so she was out and about chasing birds whenever she had the opportunity. She'd just landed a nice catch, so she felt good. Good enough that conversing with people like this cat wasn't a total nightmare.

    This stranger, though... He looked odd. Scarred up and not even as old as she was. The type who lived a cutthroat life-- maybe he loved battle the way she loved to hunt and climb?

  • no worries! my muse has been a little shoddy lately ;w;

    Wolfgang's head whirled around as a voice addressed him. This scenario was not unfamiliar- a stranger's voice interrupts silence and he briefly wonders whether or not he'll have to fight or make small talk. It seemed it was the latter. That was good, he was sick of fighting. Unless the opponent was one of the two DarkClanners that hurt his family- and little Halogen, too. He would gladly murder those pricks. He turned to face the molly, turning his ugly side away from the she-cat. "Visiting," He replied simply, his voice a tad friendlier than if he were talking to a stranger at the BloodClan border. "I had been looking for a rabbit to bring my family, but a "Poppystar" said your territory had very few of those." Wolfgang wondered how the forest cat would react to him openly admitting that he planned on stealing prey. Their leader seemed rather indifferent to it, but at the thought of prey-stealing, most forest cats would flip their shit. Dramatic little low-lifes, those forest cats. This clan seemed simpler, though. Not simple as in dim-witted, but simple as in "easy-come-easy-go". He liked that.

    I WILL PULL IT TOGETHER—

    Sunbrindle smiled warmly. "Oh, well, that's cool. Newleaf and everything, you know? The prey's coming back out so there's plenty to go around. In leaf-bare you might meet some cats who get reeeal cagey about it, 'cause there's less and all." She cocked her head. "You really will have a hard time finding rabbits, though. I just caught a bird, want that? It's aaaa... thrush, I think. Yep."

    She nudged the bird, which was lying beside her on the branch, and gestured to it with her tail. Truthfully Sunbrindle hunted mostly for sport. She was aware, of course, that it was disrespectful to kill prey unless it was to be eaten, dishonoring their sacrifice and the code, yadda yadda yadda. And she really did understand it! So of course she always brought it back to feed her clan; it was a win-win.

    But, as she said, newleaf was upon them, their clan was pretty small, and she was sure one little thrush wouldn't be missed.

    To be perfectly honest, Sunbrindle didn't know any different than treating strangers with friendliness; she'd never had much experience doing otherwise. It was just how their clan seemed to function. Pacifistic, and that was how Sunny liked it. It was a very very nice clan to live in... even if their happiness sometimes just felt ridiculous at times, and only depressed her further for not being the picture of perfection. Anyway, they lived off of the creatures of the sky, and most cats passing through tended to hunt on the ground, so usually there wasn't much conflict.

    Hopping down from the branch, she placed the thrush at the cat's feet. "I'm Sunbrindle. Sunny is fine though. And Poppystar is our leader. Who're you?"

  • Wolfie furrowed his brow. Newleaf? Did... did she mean spring? These clan cats really were in a different world. He shook his head at the offer of a trush. He stole breakfast from ThunderClan. A vole. Tasted okay. He didn't like birds, anyway. "No, but thank you. My name is Wolfgang." He introduced himself. Unbeknownst to him, this would be useful, as in the near future he would surely forget the name his beloved mother gave him. His eyes widened at the mention of Poppystar. "Ah, yes, we've met. From my experience, she is the least terrible of the forest clan leaders." Then again, he'd only briefly spoken to her.
