  • ooc what's 230 EST? Sorry, clueless Brit over here XD

    SnakeBelly

The Sunclan deputy twitched her whiskers in interest. "SpiritStar will be sad to hear of his passing." She mewed. "I know the two of them had liked each other a fair deal." She looked up as CloudWhisker approached. "I was hunting." She explained simply, "Then I saw a small feather, I reckoned it must have been from a baby bird, an easy meal. I went towards it to pick up and trail, I must have not realised how close I was to the edge as the lip of the cliff collapsed beneath my feet and, well, you know the rest." SnakeBelly looked at Blazetail in shock. "CloudFur? Why was his trail leading towards Sunclan?" She narrowed her eyes, "What's going on here?" She looked around, and then caught sight of SparrowStar's body. Her eyes widened, the whites at the edge showing. "I see..."

    FeatherPool:

FeatherPool's eyes darted to GhostFeather. Usually he'd go to StoneTuft with this, but GhostFeather was there and FeatherPool couldn't see harm in confiding in him. "The gathering... yes..." He murmured. "Traditionally speaking I'll need to go up and announce who will be taking SparrowStar's place on the meadow rock. After that I'll leave it to you, if that's alright." He asked, grateful for GhostFeather's help. "As for... what's bothering me I." He shook his head. "The days feel longer and longer, and I worry I can't teach CrimsonPaw everything she needs to know, and I miss KinkedFur and Du-" He cut himself off, then continued, "and I can't remember this one darn herb. It's small pieces of wood from a bush but I can't remember what it's called or what it does, and something is telling me I really need to know it." He shook his head, turing his sharp blue eyes on Ghostfeather. "All this aside, I have something important to tell you." He mewed, "I spoke with SnakeBelly. She reported seeing a feather next to the edge of a cliff, and when she fell she reported seeing a cat watching her - a cat she described as ghost like." He dipped his head respectfully to GhostFeather, "Starclan, it seems, have spoken. It's a sign from them - you are to be our next leader." (I hope that's okay! I know you asked for deputy... feel free to turn it down! I intend to make CloudWhisker deputy, unless you two want to swap?)

    DaisyStem:

DaisyStem seemed pleased as AcornLeap's loyalty. "Oh, I don't no brother. I'm not so sure. Truth is, I-" DaisyStem cut himself off, leaping into a bush abruptly. He reappeared with a dead stout. He twitched his whiskers in amusement, "Good catch, huh?" He mumbled around the prey.

    StoneTuft:

StoneTuft glanced over at SnakeBelly, "She was trapped - we just pushed the rocks off of her. Her leg was oo injured to get back to Sunclan camp alone, and no self respecting Eclipseclanner would be able to climb their territory and help another cat along the way, too. So, we brought her back here." StoneTuft glanced at the nursery. "She makes one wrong move and I'll skin her myself." She told PetalStorm fiercely.

    GingerPaw:

Gingerpaw accepted her punishment, she'd achieved her goal, MossFur had let SmokePaw off the hook. "My deepest and sincerest apologies." She mewed, bowing to MossFur, before trotting briskly after the other two apprentices. She poked her head between them, looking disgustedly at SparrowStar's body. "FeatherPool will have to chose a new leader and deputy." She explained, flicking one of her ears, "Obviously." She rubbed her cheek with her paw, "Man, your mentor hits hard." Gingerpaw had ignored Shrewpaw's words earlier. They may not understand her 'cunning' plan to free SmokePaw of being disciplined but she didn't care, they'd have to forcibly push her away from them if they wanted time alone.

    SwirlPaw:

SwirlPaw blinked gratefully at him. She'd managed to sit herself up whilst he'd been hunting and now she tucking into the mouse hungrily. Once she'd done she chucked the bones to the edge of the training clearing and shakily got to her feet, moving to leave on unsteady legs. "Thank you so much." She mewed to him on the way back, "I feel so lucky to have been given you as a mentor and not, say, Emberpelt." She laughed.

  • Ooc: EST stands for Eastern Standard Time, meaning that's my time zone. I Don't know what time zone you are in though! You can check it online I'm pretty sure. Anyway I'm still in school so I can't respond, respond. But I wanted to mention that I'm fine with Cloudwhisker being either deputy or leader. Whichever is fine with me!

  • So we have timezone's down here: EST is 11:35 AM right now, CST (me) is 10:35 AM right now, and then innnn britain it isssss 4:35 PM. So with that said, Coffee is an hour ahead of me, and stary is 5 hours ahead of Coffee and 6 hours ahead of me if this helps for future reference :'^) Also I don't mind Ghostfeather being leader! Just a quick question, what's the place he would go to to get his lives?))

    Ghostfeather
Ghostfeather's eyes widened. Him... leader? He never really expected this. He didn't exactly know how to respond to the medicine cat. He took a moment before he nodded. "I see... If-- if that's what Starclan decides then when should I--" He didn't quite know exactly how to ask this. He wondered why Starclan chose him? Sure he took control-- but Cloudwhisker helped too..! Maybe when he became leader he would have to make Cloudwhisker his deputy.

"We'll have this sorted out. Do you suppose we should inform the rest of the clan about this sign from Starclan then? I would think they would want to know before I head out."

    Blazestorm
Blazestorm nodded his head. "Exactly. We don't know what happened, and with all due respect, I hope you understand why we're a bit wary of you." He spoke. "So you hadn't seen Cloudfur? At all?" He almost felt like she could have been lying, but even then, he kept his cool. "Have you had any rogue problems within Sunclan territory lately?"

    Shatterstone
Shatterstone walked beside her, keeping an eye on her legs every once in a while. "Ahh, I suppose so, yes. I know Emberpelt means well he's just... well, he's a little more closed-minded than I am." He chuckled. "Don't let cats like him or Gingerpaw make you feel useless to the clan. You do well." He commented. "Better than other apprentices I've seen who have nothing wrong with them, even."

The tip of his tail flicked over her ear. "There's a gathering tonight. I want you to come with." He spoke. "I believe my brother is going to speaking in place of Sparrowstar for tonight."

    Petalstorm | Cougarkit | Jasperkit
Petalstorm nodded, her own shortened tail wagging back and forth slowly. "I sure hope so. I'm counting on you to keep my kits protected until they're apprentices." She mused jokingly. "They're growing so fast.." She added in. "I wonder who will mentor them when they are apprentices.. I hope you mentor at least one of them." She hummed.

"It won't be me! I'm reserved for Deputy. Or LEADER." Cougarkit butted in.

"I wanna be mentored by Stonetuft!" The gray kit bounced around her feet. "I'll be the best apprentice you ever had!"

  • ooc Ohh! It's so cool you two live in America! Shame about the time diff tho. Also, they go to the Mooncave to get their lives. FeatherPool will take you there. If you have any dead kin they can appear to Give you their lives. (I've got five cats lined up in starclan to give you lives but feel free to let me know which ones you want to give you lives. Some are mandatory for plot reasons, however.)

    Ic

    SnakeBelly

SnakeBelly blinked at BlazeStorm, realising that Eclipseclan must suspect Sunclan of kidnapping their deputy and murdering their leader. The safety she'd felt moments before evaporated and she glanced distrustingly around the camp. She knew this spelled the end of the Sun-Eclipse alliance. "No." She shook her head, "Haven't seen him." She titled her head, wondering if she should tell BlazeStorm the whole truth about the rouges, given she wasn't sure how much she could trust Eclipseclan. They had been known to get aggressive easily in the past. Attack first, think later, was an impression Sunclanners held of Eclipseclan. "No problems at all. They haven't returned since you-" SnakeBelly sensibly lowered her voice. "Since you sent that dawn patrol to aid us."

    FeatherPool:

FeatherPool gave a nod, "I'll inform them." he paused, his tail twitching, "It's not just Starclan, I think you should her the leader, too." He smiled at GhostFeather, "You're the best cat for the job." He popped his head outside the medicine cat den, eyeing the sky. "It's too late today to visit the MoonCave before the Gathering." He decided, "We'll go tomorrow. Now, It's time for you to announce your leadership and chose a Deputy." he nodded outside the den.

    StoneTuft:

StoneTuft felt a warm feeling buzz through her all the way to her ear tips at PetalStorm's praise. "I'd love to mentor one of them." She mewed happily. She laughed at JasperKit, "You know, little one?" She said, "You were just the kit I had in mind. How old are you? Two moons? Got a bit of waiting time, don't we." She let out a murrow of amusement, turning to PetalStorm, "They must be a handful, but they'll make fine warriors."

    SwirlPaw:

Swirlpaw started at the mention of Gingerpaw's name. "Gingerpaw?" She mewed, "What's she done?" SwirlPaw thought she and GingerPaw were friends. Then, at the mention of the gathering, her eyes lit up. "I'd love that!" She squealed, then, realising how much her paws and legs hurt, hung her head, "But... what if I can't make it all the way to the meadow?"

    RavenWing | LarkKit | NettleKit

LarkKit stormed away from her mother, her tail lashing. "Leave me alone." She hissed at her mother. RavenWing watched after her sadly. Nettlekit sat silently, staring at the ground.

  • Ooc: Will Crimsonpaw come on that trip as well or are we going to have her stay behind in the camp?

    Crimsonpaw:

The russet she-cat sat down and curled her white tipped tail neatly over her paws and listened intently to the three warriors. It seemed like there was more going on here then just the accidental death of their leader and deputy. Crimsonpaw decided she would ask Featherpool about it later.

    Cloudwhisker:

The grey and white tom nodded, approvingly. It seemed like everything checked out and that Snakebelly were to be trusted. Though, it still didn't make sense. What was Cloudfur's fur doing near their border?

"Now, this may be a bit of an unusual question..." Cloudwhisker started, he glanced over at Blazestorm then back at Snakebelly. He didn't want to give away too much, he would have to be careful with his words. "Have you had any wounded foxes on your territory in the past few moons?"

If fox fur was used to mask the fact that another cat had really killed Sparrowstar, there must be a wounded fox limping around missing some fur or a dead one.

    Mossfur:

Mossfur huffed. Apprentices. She turned and stalked away from the apprentice's den then noticed Cloudwhisker, Crimsonpaw, Snakebelly, and Blazestorm all chatting together. What could they be talking about? Mossfur padded close to them and sat down with her tail curled over her paws. She watched them from the corner of her eye while she pretended to groom herself. It didn't hurt getting a little bit of information, and perhaps they knew something about the next leader and deputy.

    Acornleap:

    Acornleap purred when Daisystem reappeared.

"Nice catch indeed!" Acornleap praised his brother, he blinked a couple of times. "Now, uh, what were you saying before that piece of prey rudely interrupted us?" The tabby tom mused.

    Shrewpaw:

Shrewpaw rolled his eyes at Gingerpaw and for the most part ignored her. In his opinion, she deserved to get smacked. Served her right. He glanced over at Smokepaw and saw the twisted expression on the tom's face.

"It looks like a fox got to her," Shrewpaw said quietly with a shrug. "I mean it had to be, right? Only foxes are this nasty and cruel."

  • Ghostfeather

Ghostfeather nodded. "I was thinking tomorrow anyways. Going to the Mooncave and the gathering would a little too much for one day." He eyed the medicine cat for a long moment, before he slowly stalked out of the den. He was nervous, sure-- mostly about what others would think. What they would say--. But if Starclan chose him, then there couldn't be much more said about it, right?

He crept along towards the leaders den, where the large rock jutted out for announcements. He had already been up there earlier that day to help Featherpool bring order to the clan, and now he was going up there to announce he was going to be the new leader.

He hopped up onto the rock and stood at the edge, staring at the camp that was so easily in his sights. He took a deep breath. Here goes nothing... "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey, gather here beneath the Highledge for a clan meeting." He felt strange saying it- and he could see other cats had already started to gather.

    Blazestorm

Blazestorm was listening in to what she might say, until he heard Ghostfeather, turning his head. "Already acting like a leader, I see." He mumbled. "Maybe Starclan did choose him." He stood up and turned away. "I got the answers I needed. Thank you for that." He flicked the tip of his tail from side to side. "I wish you well with your leg." And with that, he had approached the large rock, and sat himself down. Maybe Ghostfeather was about to announce what they were going to do about their leader problem. He hoped so.

    Shatterstone
Shatterstone froze for a short moment. Ahh- right... She must not have known about what Gingerpaw had said about her... Thank Starclan she was more interested in the Gathering. "We can ask Featherpool and Crimsonpaw for some herbs to give you more strength." He suggested. "If not, I can help you. I think you should go."

Once they had gotten back into camp, he noticed cats beginning to gather under the Highledge, with his brother standing in the place of a leader. "Hm... I wonder what's going on?" He spoke more to himself. "I suppose we got back in time for a meeting. Let's see what this is about." He motioned for the apprentice to follow with a flick of his tail. "Afterwards we can go speak with Featherpool."

    Petalstorm | Cougarkit | Jasperkit
Petalstorm purred with amusement of her kits speaking of who they would want mentoring them. "They sure are. I feel they will be wonderful warriors some day. They'll all serve their clan well."

"Yeah! I'll be the BEST warrior!" Cougarkit crowed. She turned her attention to the Highledge when she heard Ghostfeather, as did Petalstorm.

"Do you suppose they decided a new leader?" She asked Stonetuft. "I think Ghostfeather would do well as the leader, if that's who Starclan has chosen..." She assumed that much, at least- since he WAS the one on the Highledge and not, say, Featherpool instead.

Jasperkit bounced. "Can we go sit at the meeting? Please?"

"I think you three will make too much of a ruckus yet." The queen mused. "Perhaps when you're a few moons older you can."

"Aww..." Jasperkit huffed. He had returned to his mother's paws, but kept his eyes on the meeting, curious about what Ghostfeather was going to say.

    Smokepaw

Smokepaw had been broken out of his thoughts first by Shrewpaw. "Probably. If any cat did this, I wouldn't quite know what to think." He admitted. His attention then turned to the Highledge. A clan meeting? It must have something to address Sparrowstar's death... That's at least what he was thinking. He looked at Shrewpaw, then at Gingerpaw who joined them and stood up. "Common, let's go."

He had taken the lead to gather with other warriors, sitting himself down around the outter edge of the gathering.

  • Crimsonpaw:

The young apprentice turned towards Ghostfeather when she heard him call from the leader's rock. Perhaps Starclan had chosen him. She glanced at the entrance of the medicine den. Featherpool had yet to come out. Crimsonpaw shrugged and was sure that Featherpool would come out soon.

"We can stay here Snakebelly, I wouldn't want you walking on that leg," Crimsonpaw meowed to the Sunclan deputy, "Besides, we can hear and see him fine from here."

Crimsonpaw nodded towards Cloudwhisker, almost as a sign to tell him to walk away and join the gathering.

    Cloudwhisker:

The white and grey tom's ear flicked. He would have rather stayed and questioned Snakebelly more, but that would have to wait. Ghostfeather seemed to be taking the roll of a leader already. Good, Cloudwhisker thought, it suits him. Cloudwhisker nodded back to Crimsonpaw, aware that the small apprentice was dismissing him. He would have to get his information some other way.

Cloudwhisker padded over to the crowd of cats and sat off to the side a little. He wanted to be able to see Ghostfeather clearly.

    Mossfur:

Mossfur would have to snoop later. Ghostfeather had called a meeting. What for, she did not know. It wasn't like he was leader. But then again, perhaps Starclan had sent either Featherpool or Crimsonpaw a sign. She moved away from the Sunclan deputy and Crimsonpaw and found a spot by her apprentice, Smokepaw.

    Acornleap:

    --Out hunting with Daisystem--

    Shrewpaw:

Shrewpaw nodded to Smokepaw and followed him to the crowd of cats were he sat beside the smokey apprentice. He gazed up at Ghostfeather. Was he chosen to be the next leader of EclipseClan?

  • ooc idm up to you

    FeatherPool:

FeatherPool watched GhostFeather walk outside of the medicine den, his grey fur dappled by evening light. The medicine cat looked around his cave for a few moments, a weight lifting from his shoulders, and then followed the tom outside, jumping onto the rock next to him for the last time. He'd announce the sign from starclan, and his own blessing of GhostFeather's leadership, and then jump down from the perch for good.

    DaisyStem:

"Oh, nothing." DaisyStem mewed, "Come on let's head back to camp." He picked the stout up and began trotting through the forest, back towards camp.

    StoneTuft:

StoneTuft looked over at the meeting. "I hope he'll be made leader, FeatherPool needs some slack right about now." She glanced over at Jasperkit and Courgarkit. "One day, you two." She teased.

    SwirlPaw | GingerPaw

Swirlpaw nodded, then spotted the bright flash of Gingerpaw's fur amongst the other cats. "I'm gonna go sit with the other apprentices, if that's okay." She mewed. She hadn't spoken to Gingerpaw yet today. Swirlpaw stumbled over to her friend, mewing hello. GingerPaw looked up and saw Swirlpaw. She smiled and shuffled over so there was room for her.

"You look exhausted, useless!" She teased as Swirlpaw sat down. Swirlpaw laughed,

"Right back at ya, mouse-sized sunrise." Gingerpaw rolled her eyes.

"Ha, ha." Gingerpaw nodded at Shrewpaw and Smokepaw. "These two only just got up." Swirlpaw's eyes widened.

"Really?" She narrowed her eyes at Shrewpaw and Smokepaw, "I heard cats who sleep past sun high turn into mice!" She teased. Emberpelt let out a low growl.

"Be quiet!" He hissed. Swirlpaw and Gingerpaw shut up after that.

  • Also I forgot to mention in my last post-- maybe Ghostfeather's mother and father can give him lives too? Other than that, he doesn't have any other dead kin--. ))

    Ghostfeather

Ghostfeather eyed the warriors and apprentices that watched him from below, he looked over to Featherpool before he spoke. "Starclan has given Featherpool a sign." He started. "They have chosen me to be the next leader of Eclipseclan to take Sparrowstar's place. As such, I would like to appoint a new deputy for the clan as well." He took a moment, trying to think over the words. He knew the saying-- he remember hearing Sparrowstar say it when he was much younger. "I say these words before Starclan, so that the spirits of our warrior ancestors may hear and approve of my choice. The new deputy of Eclipseclan is Cloudwhisker."

    Blazestorm
Blazestorm seemed pleasantly surprised. Ah- so Starcl
an did choose him to be the next leader. He felt a little more accepting of the tom being up on the rock now, showing his respect for the new leader, and even the new appointed deputy as well. If Starclan chosen this to be, then he would accept it.

    Shatterstone
Shatterstone nodded after his apprentice had left his side, following after her to settle himself beside Mossfur. He was rather proud of his brother- hearing that he was the next appointed leader of the clan chosen by Starclan. He had to admit, he was a little disheartened by hearing that he wouldn't be deputy- but he knew his brother made the right choice.

Cloudwhisker was a good warrior- and he would make for a great deputy.

    Smokepaw

Smokepaw eyed his mentor, then to Swirlpaw who joined them. He was about to greet the other apprentice, until Emberpelt snapped at them. He quickly looked ahead again towards Ghostfeather, feeling a little better about the situation. He had felt a great deal of mixed emotions since he woke up- worry for the clan, grief of losing Sparrowstar, shame for waking up late-- but he felt like all of it was lifted off his shoulders now.

Starclan was there watching them like he always knew they were- and they gave them a proper sign of who would lead their clan.

  • Crimsonpaw:

Crimsonpaw purred in delight hearing that Cloudwhisker was going to be deputy. He's a good leader and would help Ghostfeather lead the clan well. Starclan made the right choice in choosing Ghostfeather as the next Eclipseclan leader.

    Cloudwhisker:

Cloudwhisker stood, shocked that he had been chosen at the next deputy. His heart swelled with pride for himself and pride for Ghostfeather. He would be working alongside a good friend and a nobel warrior. Ghostfeather would do well in running the clan. Cloudwhisker waved his tail at the new leader of Eclipse Clan and nodded his head respectively towards Featherpool.

    Mossfur:
Mossfur glanced over at Emperpelt then turned her attention back to Ghostfeather. Cloudwhisker was to be the next deputy. She nodded to herself. Cloudwhisker was a good warrior. He would make a fine deputy and Ghostfeather would make a noble leader. Hopefully a better leader than Sparrowstar was.

    Acornleap:

Acornleap and Daisystem got back to camp in time to hear the announcement. Cloudwhisker deputy and Ghostfather leader! Starclan was right in choosing Ghostfeather as leader. Acornleap snuck in by Mossfur behind the apprentice's. He nodded to Gingerpaw.

"Wow, pretty great that Ghostfeather is the leader huh?" He whispered to Statterstone.

    Shrewpaw:

Shrewpaw flicked his ear dismissively. Cloudwhisker as deputy? He couldn't argue with Starclan choosing Ghostfeather as the leader, but he could argue with the leader choosing the deputy. Shrewpaw thought that Cloudwhisker wasn't up to the task of deputy, but he kept his jaw shut. He didn't want to get smacked by Mossfur.

  • ooc cool that works out fine

    FeatherPool:

FeatherPool inclined his head in agreement. Cloudwhisker was the obvious choice. FeatherPool spoke up, then,

"The gathering is tonight, so GhostFeather and I shall travel to the mooncave tomorrow, instead." FeatherPool turned his head to GhostFeather, waiting for him to announce who would go.

    EmberPelt:

EmberPelt noticed MossFur's look and shook out his fur. "Apprentice's, am I right?" He huffed, settling his tail around his grey paws. "At least we have a calmer leader now. None of that battle first think second nonsense anymore." He murmured in a low voice. His mate, LittleSpot, had died in the Red Dawn.

    StoneTuft:

"Excuse me." Stonetuft murmured quietly to PetalStorm, getting up and going over to the meeting. She neatly moved through the gathered cats to sit next to BlazeStorm, giving him a light tap on the shoulder. "There's that starclan approval you wanted." She whispered in amusement to him. "GhostFeather will be a great leader."

    GingerPaw:

GingerPaw, hearing AcornLeap's voice, turned around and answered, even if the question hadn't been for her. "Right?" She mewed in a hushed but excited voice, her blue eyes wide in amazement. This was possibly the most gossip-y day she'd lived so far, and GingerPaw did love a bit of drama.

    SwirlPaw:

Swirlpaw Turned excitedly to SmokePaw and ShrewPaw. "Guess who's finally been allowed to travel to the gathering!" She told them, her tail flicking from left to right. She puffed her chest proudly, "Me."

    DaisyStem:

The tom put the stout he'd caught on the fresh kill pile. He glanced over at the gathering, everyone was pretty distracted with what was going on. DaisyStem meddled with the fresh kill a bit, seeing as no one could stop him if no one saw him, and took not one but two mice to eat, he was famished, and some cats could stand to eat a little less -cough- emberpelt -cough-.

  • Crimsonpaw:

Crimsonpaw's ears twitched. The mooncave. The young apprentice had never traveled to the Mooncave and she knew one day she would have to in order to receive her name from Starclan. However, she wondered if Featherpool would let her go on this trip with Ghostfeather. She was curious to see what it looked like. The russet apprentice's whiskers twitched, no. She knew she would have to stay behind. They would need a medicine cat on hand in case of an emergency. She sat patiently beside Snakebelly and waited to see who Ghostfeather would choose to go to the gathering.

    Cloudwhisker:

Cloudwhisker padded towards the base of the leader's rock and sat at the base, looking out at the many varying faces of his clan members. Is this what it was like to be deputy? No doubt he would accompany Ghostfeather to the gathering. He would also have to help walk Snakebelly there so her clan-mates could bring her home. Cloudwhisker shifted his weight. What would Sunclan say? Sunclan and Eclipseclan had a partial alliance at the moment, but what if the Sunclan cats thought they had kidnapped Snakebelly and wanted some sort of ransom? No. That would be silly. They would explain what had happened and everything would be settled. Perhaps, Cloudwhisker thought, he could get more information from the other clan cats at the gathering.

    Mossfur:

Mossfur nodded solemnly to Emberpelt. The tom had lost his mate, and she had lost a brother. It was an awful day. Ghostfeather would be a good leader. He wouldn't send his warriors on a suicide mission.

"No more blood needs to be shed in vain," she agreed in a quiet voice.

    Acornleap:

The orange tabby tom purred in response to Gingerpelt, although he had slipped into the clan meeting a little late it was nice that the small ginger apprentice noticed his presence.

    Shrewpaw:

    Shrewpaw turned to face Swirlpaw.

"Woah really? You get to go to the gathering?" Shrewpaw meowed in awe.

The was a pang of jealousy in the young tom, but he would have to be patient and see who Ghostfeather chooses for the gathering.

  • SnakeBelly

"I think I'm a shoe in." SnakeBelly muttered in amusement, she'd have to limp to the gathering if she wanted to get back home.

    EmberPelt:

EmberPelt gave a satisfied nod. "Certainly not." He huffed, squaring his shoulders and watching the leader curiously.

    SwirlPaw | GingerPaw

SwirlPaw nudged GingerPaw and wriggled her brow at her suggestively, looking from her to AcornLeap. Gingerpaw let out a small mortified squeal and cuffed SwirlPaw over the head lightly, who suppressed a laugh. Ginerpaw faced away from AcornLeap, shoulders hunched and tail twitching in embarrassment. SwirlPaw turned back to Shrewpaw, giving an invigorated nod. "Yeah, I do!" She purred, "I've never gone before, my legs and all." She explained.

    RavenWing

The queen stood up, calling above the other voices. "I want to go to the gathering." She announced, "If something happened to CloudFur, we may find out tonight. I have to go."

  • Ghostfeather | Petalstorm | Shatterstorm

Ghostfeather looked among the clan cats. Who to choose to go with to the Gathering. Obviously, Featherpool and Cloudwhisker would be going- that much he knew. Hearing Ravenwing, he took note of her wanting to join the gathering. He was about to ask about her kits- in which, Petalstorm answered.

"I'll take care of her kits for her to go." The other queen spoke. She had no problem watching over Larkkit and Nettlekit while their mother went to listen in about her possibly dead mate.

Ghostfeather bowed his head in acknowledgement of this. "Alright, then Featherpool, Cloudwhisker, Shatterstone, Mossfur, Ravenwing, Daisystem, Shrewpaw, and Smokepaw will attend the Gathering tonight."

Shatterstone spoke up next. "I would like Swirlpaw to come along as well." He spoke up. "I believe she is able to make the trip." He added in. He flashed a look to his apprentice for a short moment, before back up to his brother.

Ghostfeather thought on it for a moment before nodding his head. "Only if you believe she can make the trip there and back, I will allow it." He decided. He thought over what else he would need to say before he decided to close the meeting. "That is all. Clear the Highledge." He hopped down from the rock, and waited for Featherpool to join him.

    Blazestorm
Blazestorm let out a low chuckle, and nodded. "Yeah, I suppose it is. I have no doubt he will be too." Earlier- for sure- he was doubtful on the choice of Ghostfeather- simply because he seemed to be chosen on a whim, but now that Starclan had chosen him, he felt more comfortable with the tom being the leader. He was always a warrior he respected as they grew up. Both him and his brother.

"Hopefully he'll be able to take the stress." He added in. "Because I have a feeling things are going to get really troublesome soon." He stood up, and stretched out his limbs. "I guess we'll have to wait and see how the Gathering goes tonight. Maybe we'll find out about what is going on and what happened to Sparrowstar and Cloudfur."

    Smokepaw
Smokepaw hopped up and looked to Swirlpaw excitedly, then Shrewpaw. "We're going to the Gathering together!" he exclaimed. This would be his first Gathering as well- and he was a tad nervous about it. Usually he heard it was pretty- well- sort of- casual... But with the news within Eclipseclan already, he wondered if this Gathering may or may not have a hostile vibe to it.

  • RavenWing | FeatherPool

RavenWing blinked gratefully at PetalStorm. She knew she'd always have a friend in her. She padded over to the queen. "Thank you." She mewed, putting her tail on PetalStorm's shoulder, "You've been so wonderful today, I owe you big time."

FeatherPool hopped down after GhostFeather, sticking near the other tom. This would be his first Gathering without StoneTuft to accompany him, and it felt strange. StoneTuft shot him a worried glance but FeatherPool reassured her with a dip of his head. If I stay near-isa to GhostFeather, I'm sure I'll be fine. FeatherPool looked at GhostFeather. "I assume CrimsonPaw and GingerPaw are coming, too?" He asked quietly so only GhostFeather would hear. "GingerPaw will be made a warrior soon, and she has yet to attend a gathering. Further, it's customary for the Medicine cats in training to attend and discuss medicine matters with the other cats." He reminded GhostFeather. He didn't mean to budge in on his duties, he just wanted to help GhostFeather into the position of leader. However naturally the role might come to the other tom, FeatherPool had first hand experience of being a cat of authority and hoped it could be of some use to the new leader.

The cat's bound for the gathering began to exit camp.

    DaisyStem:

"Fox dung." DaisyStem muttered, dropping his uneaten mice onto the fresh kill pile. "Another time, my lovelies." He cooed at the food before trotting over to MossFur. His fur was beginning to dry out. DaisyStem glanced around, spotting Shrewpaw. He motioned his apprentice over with his tail. "Hurry up, and rub that half asleep look off your face, we've a long journey ahead."

    StoneTuft:

StoneTuft pouted, "No gathering for us, though." She muttered in disappointment. Then, at BlazeStorm's comments that things were going to become troublesome Stonetuft nodded darkly, "I'm certain of it. First our leader is murdered, then out deputy is missing, and then that sunclan cat nearly dies under a rock fall. And all on the anniversary of the Red Dawn." She paused, "One good thing did happen, though." She twitched her whiskers, "I got to eat a stout." A purr rumbled in her chest. Then it got cut off and StoneTuft let out a few, hoarse coughs. "Ouch..." She muttered once she'd finished. "Not sure where that came from."

    GingerPaw | Swirlpaw

GingerPaw shuffled her feet sadly, she was certain she'd get to go to the gathering this time. Maybe a few more moons have yet to pass before I'm warrior ready. She worried. Her training was beginning to drag on. Swirlpaw seemed to sense GingerPaw's disappointment. First she turned to SmokePaw, a smile on her face,

"It's going to be awesome, I already know it!" She mewed, "I've heard so much about the other clans! Apparently SunClanner's look more like leopards, given how much they climb on those cliffs, oh! And apparently MoonClan have these crazy long limbs and thin bodies for running on open moores!" She glanced in LarkKit's direction, who was sat next to her brother, both of them silent. "Like LarkKit!" She glanced back at Gingerpaw, lowering her voice so only the four apprentices could hear. "I'm sure you'll be made a Warrior soon, GingerPaw. And when you do, it'll be almost like WhitePaw is being made a warrior with you!" It was no secret in the clan that GingerPaw and WhitePaw had been close before WhitePaw had perished in the Red Dawn.

  • Crimsonpaw:

Crimsonpaw glanced over at the Sunclan deputy and let out a small purr of amusement.
"Don't worry yourself Snakebelly. Featherpool and Cloudwhisker will help you get there," the apprentice meowed reassuringly to the Sunclan deputy, "We wouldn't make you walk there on your own. I'll walk you to the entrance."

Crimsonpaw got up nudged Snakebelly to try and do the same. She didn't want to call Featherpool or Cloudwhisker over just yet. She wanted to show Featherpool that she could handle wounded cats on her own.

    Cloudwhisker:

Cloudwhisker stretched and padded over to the bramble tunnel and waited for the rest of the cats to join. He glanced over at Crimsonpaw who was helping Snakebelly over. He didn't want to leave just yet. He would help bring up the end of the group of cats and help any of those who started to fall behind. Most notably, he wanted to keep an eye on Swirlpaw. Cloudwhisker knew that Shatterstone was more than capable of watching their own apprentice, but regardless Cloudwhisker wanted to make certain that the crippled apprentice got there in one piece and that she didn't get too tired. The gathering would be the perfect change to find out more about what happened to Cloudfur, and Cloudwhisker could find out if there were any dead or wounded foxes in or around the territories. That would lead him one step closer to solving who killed Sparrowstar.

    Mossfur:

Mossfur got up and glanced at her Acornleap. She was going with her other brother Daisystem. It was strange. When they were younger, when they still had their brother, they would usually all go together.

"Perhaps next time, Acornleap," she mewed with a small shrug. She then turned to her apprentice and gently nudged him. "Come on, Smokepaw."

Not waiting for her apprentice, she padded towards the bramble tunnel and out of the camp.

    Acornleap:

Acornleap nodded to his sister and to Daisystem as they left. Yes, perhaps next time, he thought. He glanced over at Gingerpaw, she was noticeably upset that she wasn't going with the other apprentices.

"Don't be so down, Gingerpaw," Acornleap purred and sat by the pretty apprentice, "Soon you will be going to the gatherings as a warrior."

    Shrewpaw:

Shrewpaw nudged Smokepaw excitedly and was about to say something, but upon hearing his mentor call out to him Shrewpaw turned and trotted over to Daisystem. He shook out his fur and gave his chest a couple of quick licks.

"I could say the same to you" Shrewpaw teased Daisystem, "It looks like you fell in the river."

  • Ghostfeather | Smokepaw

The gray tom turned his attention to the medicine cat. "I suppose that would be true. Alright, I'll inform them, then." He was glad to have Featherpool at his side. Even if he wasn't good about taking control, he knew the ropes around being a higher position, something he never really had any practice in. He knew how to do some things, but being thrusted straight into the leader position would be something he would have to get used to. That was something he was certain Featherpool was familiar with...

He padded over to Gingerpaw and Acornleap. "Gingerpaw- I am aware you are almost a warrior and you have yet to go to a Gathering." He spoke. "Come along, you'll be coming with as well." He informed the apprentice.

Smokepaw turned to Gingerpaw. "You are coming afterall!" The gray tom purred. "I'll see you there, then, guys!" And with that, he quickly followed after his mentor to the bramble tunnel.

Ghostfeather nodded his head to the others before he had quickly moved on to Crimsonpaw. "My apologies for not mentioning you." He spoke. "Featherpool requested you come along with to the Gathering. If you could assist Snakebelly there, that would be great." He eyed the Sunclan deputy for a moment, before bowing his head. "I hope your leg gets better soon." He simply said to her before he had finally left to the bramble tunnel himself, coming in beside Cloudwhisker. "Let's hope for the best this Gathering." He mumbled to the new Deputy.

    Shatterstone
Shatterstone stood and gave his apprentice a guiding flick of his tail over her ear. "Come with me a second, Swirlpaw." He told her. He padded quickly to Featherpool to catch the medicine cat before he would head after Ghostfeather. "Featherpool! I'm sorry to come to you right before we leave for the Gathering, I was wondering if you could give something to Swirlpaw for energy-- so it'll be easier for her to make the trip there and back." He asked- rather quietly in fact.

He promised the apprentice that she could go to the Gathering, but even still he was worried about how she would fare on the trip. He wanted to do this for her- just in case.

    Blazestorm
Blazestorm nodded his head. "Yeah, something is definitely wrong. I don't think what happened to Snakebelly was on accident.." He mumbled. "We'll see what happens. I'm sure Ghostfeather will figure out whats going on and what to do about it." He assured her- before she had coughed.

It was a tad worrisome to hear it from her- it didn't sound good at all... He eyed her carefully with his green hues. "That didn't sound good." He spoke to her. She made it seem like it hurt too. He hoped she wasn't getting sick with anything serious. "Maybe you should go speak with Featherpool when they get back about that cough." He suggested.

    Petalstorm
Petalstorm looked to her and nodded. "Of course." She purred. "You let me know of the news when you get back, alright?" She sat herself down, with her kits playing around her. "I'll make sure Larkkit and Nettlekit are taken care of..." She looked over to the two kits that seemed to be sitting alone currently. "... I hope they will be able to fare well with the news now..."

  • SnakeBelly

The Sunclan Deputy looked down at CrimsonPaw in amusement, "I guess you'll be walking me much further than the entrance, then." She mewed, beginning the track, giving a little skip every time she had to use her injured leg.

    FeatherPool | SwirlPaw | Gingerpaw

FeatherPool's paws were itching to follow quickly after GhostFeather, but he restrained himself and dipped his head patiently to ShatterStone, the Warrior did make a good point, one FeatherPool should have thought of himself. I'm really not cut out to be a medicine cat. He thought guiltily. "Of course, one moment." He dashed into the medicine den and gathered some burnet, chamomile, sorrel and daisy. He mashed them into a pulp and put them into a leaf to carry, picking it up in his mouth and trotting back out to SwirlPaw. "There you go." He mewed, leaving her to eat it, "Let me know if you feel tired on the way." He added, then hurriedly padded out of camp and to the front of the group, where GhostFeather was with CloudWhisker, walking beside them and politely listening in on the conversation.

SwirlPaw thanked FeatherPool and wolfed down the herbs as the medicine cat left them in a hurry. "Ew..." She muttered once she was done, swiping her tongue around her mouth and giving her whiskers a twitch. "If I never have those again, it'll be too soon." She joked to Shatter Stone , leaving the camp with the others.

GingerPaw pouted up at AcornLeap, "No, dummy, I haven't been to a gathering yet, if I don't go this moon I'll to wait at least another moon before I can be made a warrior!" She complained, though shut up pretty quickly when GhostFeather padded over. She listened to him, her eyes lighting up. "Thank you!" She squealed, jumped to her feet. She looked at SmokePaw, beaming, then at SwirlPaw and AcornLeap, following after her fellow apprentice. "Come on!" She called to AcornLeap as she fell in by SwirlPaw's side. Both SwirlPaw and GingerPaw looked ecstatic.

    DaisyStem:

DaisyStem shrugged, setting off towards the meadow, where the gathering was held, with the others. "I figured you'd feel lonely if you were the only cat in the clan who looked waterlogged." He teased

    StoneTuft:

StoneTuft waved her paw dissuasively, "Oh, please, he has enough on his plate as it is, and it's the first inklings of a cough I've ever had. If it happens again, sure, I'll tell him, but there's no need to cause unnecessary worry." She got to her feet, giving her legs a luxurious stretch. "I feel copped up. Up for some late night hunting?" She asked, then, lowering her voice. "To be honest with you, I want to revisit CloudFur's trail and see if there's anything we might have missed." Her blue eyes serious. She had thought of little else since the events of today.

(Is it weird that I want StoneTuft, BlazeStorm and CloudWhisker to become a detective trio? No? Just me?)

    RavenWing:

RavenWing blinked gratefully at PetalStorm, "They didn't take the news well." RavenWing admitted, "I'm sorry to dump them on you like this I just... I have to know what happened." With that, RavenWing turned and followed the party to the gathering.

  • The Meadow

No one was surprised when it was GingerPaw, feet eager to see her first gathering, raced ahead of everyone and pelted into the clearing first. The gathering was held in the meadow, a large clearing at the edge of EclipseClan territory, equal distance from the Sunclan and Moonclan camps. The meadow was filled with bright, different coloured flowers, believed to represent the souls of cats who had gone before.

"So EclipseClan are finally here." A loud, hoarse voice called, "How kind of them to grace us with their presence." FeatherPool recognised the voice of PlumStar, the MoonClan leader, as he walked into the clearing.

  • Ooc: I think it would be great to have a detective trio!

    Crimsonpaw:

"It's alright Ghostfeather," Crimsonpaw purred to the new leader then watched him as he left.

"I guess so!" Crimsonpaw mewed back to Snakebelly.

Crimsonpaw was starting to like Snakebelly. The russet apprentice thought the Sunclan deputy kind and trustworthy and Crimsonpaw was glad that the warriors and feather pool decided to bring her home to heal. "You must be eager to get back to your clan," Crimsonpaw commented as she lead Snakebelly towards the tunnel and out of the camp.

On the way, she spotted Ravenwing and remembered that the dark queen was going to the gathering to find out more about Cloudfur.

"Ravenwing," Crimsonpaw meowed to the queen, "If you need anything while we are at the gathering, please let me know!"

When Crimsonpaw arrived at the gathering with Snakebelly she stood in awe at the sheer amount of cats. Crimsonpaw was young, this was her first gathering. It made her anxious being in the precense of both Sunclan and Moonclan cats. She decided that once Snakebelly was back in the paws of her own clan, she would stick close to Featherpool. Crimsonpaw shuddered at the voice of Plumstar, the young apprentice was not sure how to feel about the Moonclan leader.

    Cloudwhisker:

Cloudwhisker nodded to Ghostfeather as they padded out of the camp together.

"Yes, lets hope that Moonclan doesn't start a fuss over us having Snakebelly in our camp, even though Snakebelly is a Sunclan warrior, Moonclan still might try to use that against us," Cloudwhisker responded to the new Eclipseclan leader, "I hope to find out more about Cloudfur's dissapearance. There was fox fur in the clearing where Sparrowstar was killed. That mean that whoever killed her must have had to attack or possible kill a fox to get its fur and its blood. I want to know if any cats have seen a wounded or dead fox on their territory in the last couple of moons."

At the gathering, Cloudwhisker watched as his apprentice darted ahead of the group and into the clearing. His whiskers twitched in amusement, but Gingerpaw would have to start behaving. Afterall, she was the apprentice of the deputy now. Cloudwhisker padded up to Gingerpaw.

"Greetings, Plumstar," Cloudwhisker greeted the Moonclan leader and dipped his head to the tom.
Cloudwhisker really never cared for Plumstar, but now that he was deputy Cloudwhisker figured that he best keep his personal opinions of others to himself.

"Gingerpaw," Cloudwhisker meowed, addressing his apprentice firmly, "You should know better than to run the ahead the rest of the group. I know this is your first gathering and your excited, but usually the first cats to enter the gathering are the leaders, deputies, and medicine cats."

Cloudwhisker nudged his apprentice lightly, showing that he was not mad at his apprentice and forgave her for her mistake.

    Mossfur:

Mossfur padded into the clearing, taking in the many different colored flowers and wondered if her lost brother was among them. She turned to Daisystem and saw him busy teasing his apprentice. Mossfur purred, it was nice a sight. She turned a few times before she finally spotted her apprentice.

"Smokepaw," Mossfur meowed, "You can go mingle with the other apprentices if you like, but remember to come straight back to me when the leaders are talking and when we leave the camp. As your mentor I am responsible for you. Also, be sure to behave yourself."

She brushed her fur gently along her apprentice's and stalked off to find a spot by the edge of the clearing.

    Acornleap:

Acornleap purred in amusement and called after Gingerpaw, "I'm not going to the gathering! There have to be some warriors watching over the clan."

Although the tabby tom was dissapointed he couldn't share Gingerpaw's first gathering, there would be many more to come that they could go to together. Acornleap felt warm at that thought. After the last of the cats going to the gathering dissapeared through the tunnel, Acornleap figured he could finally eat something.

He padded over to the fresh kill pile and grabbed a thrush for himself and settled himself outside the warrior's den where Mossfur usually lays.

    Shrewpaw:

"Wow thanks," Shrewpaw meowed and rolled his eyes at his mentor.

Shrewpaw felt overwhelmed by the gathering. This was his first gathering. The scents of Moonclan, Sunclan, and Eclipseclan cats merged together and made him dizzy. It was thrilling.

"Wow, there are so many!" Shrewpaw murmured half to himself and half to Daisystem.

He rolled his eyes at Gingerpaw as she darted into the clearing, but let out a huff of satisfaction when he saw Cloudwhisker trot up to her. Most likely to scold her. Serves her right, Shrewpaw thought.
