  • Yeah I'll make an apprentice! I'll write a bio when I write my loners bio as well.))

    Ghostfeather

Ghostfeather nodded. "I couldn't agree more. We'll all meet in your den and talk about it. After we have some things figured out, we can bury Sparrowstar and hold vigil for her." He stated. "... Do you think it's a good idea to bring her into our camp?" He wondered. "With the prophecy and all-- what if this her plan?"

He seemed relatively worried about the deputy they had with them. He knew they needed to help her out... but understandably he was wary of her. Though all the same, if she got caught under a rockslide, there was no way she could have done that herself, maybe...?

    Blazestorm
Blazestorm nodded. "Ah. Well, I think I'm done seeing enough death for a day." He spoke. Once they had made it back into camp, he had begun to lead the she-cat to the medicine cat den, glares coming from other cats who now were wondering why the Sunclan deputy was in their camp. He gave looks back at them, and soon disappeared into the den with Snakebelly.

"Where's that apprentice at? Shouldn't he be here right now?" He wondered a tad irritated by Crimsonpaw's absence. "Whatever he's doing, it better be important. Featherpool will have to take care of you while we talk, then."

    Shatterstone
Shatterstone was surprised by her sudden attack at him, being able to get out of the way for the first one, but not the second. Thankfully, her claws weren't fully out, but they still hurt-- he could feel the stinging pain to the left of his head. He hissed, and stumbled back some.

"Be careful!" He hissed. "We're only training, keep your claws sheathed." He growled, his fur standing from his sudden anger, but he had sat down and calmed himself after. "That was good, though, you need to be more careful." He couldn't feel much blood coming from where she had attacked him- so he had assumed she didn't do much damage to him.

    Cougarkit | Grasskit
Cougarkit stared at the other kit for a moment before she sat down, seeming to be much more smug as she curled her tail around herself. "I'm just curious. Why are you so defensive, are you mates or something?" She mewed in a teasing manner.

Grasskit huffed, her chest fluffing out. "No! We're not!" She immediately responded. "We're friends!"

  • ooc awesome thanks guys! and accepted :)

    FeatherPool | Stonetuft

"As long as we keep a close eye on her she'll find it hard to cause any trouble, especially with that broken leg of hers." He reasoned. "Besides, Sunclan have always been friendly towards Eclipseclan, I see no-" Featherpool's froze on the spot, a fox length from his den. "Oh starclan... The gathering..." he turned to Ghostfeather, "it's tonight! I completely forgot..." The tom's body began to shake with stress. He looked down at his paws in dismay. "Go check on the camp, Ghostfeather, I'll tend to SnakeBelly's legs. Meet back here in five minutes to discuss who will go and... to ask her some questions. We can return her to her clan at the Gathering." He decided. "That's one thing sorted at least.

"Featherpool? GhostFeather?" Stonetuft spoke up, "I need to discuss something with you both once you're done with SnakeBelly. It's to do with sunclan and cloudfur." She added. She turned to Blazestorm, "Come on, let's leave Featherpool and Snakebelly to it." She shot SnakeBelly a mistrusting look. SnakeBelly remained neutral.

    EmberPelt:

Emberpelt gave a nod, "Ah, that makes sense." He mewed. "Ghastly business. Don't think the clans faced such a grim day since the bloody dawn..." Emberpelt paused, "That's what we call that day, the day Sparrowstar sent our warriors to fight the rouges away from Sunclan. When... When so many passed away." Emberpelt shook his head, "Starclan, feels so long ago now." He cut himself off, seeing SnakeBelly being led through camp. He lashed his tail. "What's she doing here." he hissed to Cloudwhisker.

    GingerPaw | Daisystem

Gingerpaw's eyes flashed dangerously at Acornleap. "Was that a threat?" she asked. "Fine. I see how it is." with a sharp, final, lash of her tail she turned around and stalked back towards camp.

"Oh dear, the mouse-sized sun rise is upset with you, brother." Daisystem glanced over at him. "You should be careful around that one, Acornleap. She's unpredictable." Daisystem got to his paws and padded over to him, "Whilst we're out here, shall we go hunt? I'm sure the clan is shaken up about Sparrowstar, the last thing they want is to think about food."

    SwirlPaw:

Swirlpaw looked horrified. She sheather her claws quickly, "I'm so sorry! It was all a so much I- no, that's no excuse. It won't happen again, Shatterstone." She promised, shuffling her feet in shame. Then she realised she'd successfully attack him. Her eyes lit up and, despite her aching legs, gave a small bounce and a little squeal of excitement. "I got you!"

    RavenWing:

Ravenwing blinked, "Very insightful." She paused, shifting her feet. "Could... Could I have some?"

    NettleKit | LarkKit

NettleKit's ears perked at that, "If you seriously think anyone would be mates with me you must have mouse-dung for brain." he shot back, irritation sparking along his fur. "Besides, grass kit is right, we're just friends."

LarkKit padded back in and narrowed her eyes at NettleKit teasingly. "That would be impossible," She commented snidely to Cougarkit, "Nettlekit doesn't even like she-cats." She laughed. Nettlekit flattened his ears and fixed his blind eyes fiercely on his sister.

"Good day." He mutter testily and padded out of the nursery and towards the fresh kill pile, his fur bristling.

  • Ooc: Whoever wants to be the mentor of Shrewpaw feel free to :)

    Crimsonpaw:

Crimsonpaw stared at the queen for a moment. The apprentice supposed that it wouldn't hurt to give her something to sooth her anxiety.

"Yes, I'd need to bring you back to the camp after you eat it though. Being out in the forest while being calmed by thyme can be dangerous," Crimsonpaw warned.

She grabbed a small bundle of thyme, just enough to help calm Ravenwing. She set the herbs in front of Ravenwing and gestured for her to eat the herbs.

    Cloudwhisker:

Cloudwhisker had been listening intently to Emberpelt and shuddered when he mentioned the Red Dawn. Then Emberpelt had gestured towards the entrance of camp. He swiveled his head around and his eyes narrowed when he saw Snakebelley, the deputy of Sunclan being led into the camp.

"I don't know, but I'm going to find out," Cloudwhisker meowed to Emperpelt and got up from where he was watching Sparrowstar's body.

He padded over to Snakebelly and the others.

"What is Snakebelly doing here?" Cloudwhisker asked, completely ignoring Snakebelly altogether.

    Mossfur:

    --Laying outside the warrior's den--

    Acornleap:

The tom's whiskers twitched in amusement at Gingerpaw's little outburst. He turned back to his brother and blinked warmly at him.

"Yes, she's certainly a spark of fire. It will get her into trouble one day," Acornleap purred, "Yes, we haven't gone hunting in some time. It will be nice to catch up."

Acornleap stood and stretched then gestured towards the stream.
"Should we continue to follow the stream?"

    Shrewpaw:

    --Sleeping in the apprentice den--

  • ooc I've put Daisystem as Shrewpaw's mentor (sorry Shrewpaw XD) and Mossfur as Smokepaw's

    FeatherPool:

SnakeBelly scoffed, "Hello to you, too." She muttered. Featherpool looked at cloudwhisker, then at Ghostfeather. "You explain." He instructed Ghostfeather, "I need to tend to her leg." Featherpool swept inside the medicine den, out of sight, and began to fix the sunclan deputy up.

    DaisyStem:

Daisystem seemed pleased at the prospect of having a catch up. "Of course, brother." He smiled, the malice he'd spoken of to Mossfur entirely gone. Truthfully, he had no ill-will towards his brother, as much as he understood mossfur's. "So," He eyed his brother teasingly. "Gingerpaw." He turned his attention towards the stream, watching out for fish, "She'll be a warrior soon, and quite a good one, I imagine, as fiery as she is." He turned back to his brother, "What do you think?" It was clear what he was getting at, even if he hadn't mentioned it directly. It was no secret that AcornLeap was one of the few cats who could handle Gingerpaw's back and forth nature, and Gingerpaw seemed to be one of the only cats who found much to talk about with AcornLeap. (I hope you don't mind where I'm going with this, feel free to ignore.)

    RavenWing:

RavenWing smiled gratefully and ate her fill, before turning and padding back towards camp. "Thank you, I appreciate it." She said, dipping her head respectfully. "Featherpool must be glad having a helpful apprentice like you around."

  • Ooc: Sounds good to me! Shrewpaw is a bit of a brat so I'm sure they will get along just fine (heavily implied sarcasm). And I do like the idea of where you are going with Acornleap and Gingerpaw!

    Crimsonpaw:

"You're welcome! I hope they help you," The apprentice chirped to the queen.

Crimsonpaw bristled... Featherpool! He must have noticed that she was gone by now. "Uh yeah..." Crimsonpaw murmured.

The moment the queen and the apprentice got back into camp, Crimsonpaw nodded to Ravenwing then took off in the direction of the medicine cat's den. She slipped inside and saw Featherpool tending to a cat she had never seen before.

"Oh! Who is this?" Crimsonpaw asked curiously then shook her head, now was not the time to be asking questions like that, "Uh, what can I do to help?" she asked her mentor, hoping that he would be too distracted by the injured cat to realize her absence.

    Cloudwhisker:

Cloudwhisker simply dipped his head curtly to Snakebelly before turning his attention to Ghostfeather and waited to hear the story.

    Mossfur:

--Laying outside of the warriors den--

    Acornleap:

Acornleap had started walking down the shore of the bank where he stopped and turned his head to look over his shoulder at his brother. His fur prickled with slight embarrassment.

"Oh.. Gingerpaw? Why yes, she's certainly a unique cat isn't she? She'll be a fine warrior," Acornleap muttered, stumbling over his words slightly.

Acornleap new exactly where his brother was going. Daisystem could always see right through Acornleap.

Acornleap gave his chest a couple of quick licks before changing the subject abruptly and quiet noticeably. "So, uh.. Where's that apprentice of yours?"

    Shrewpaw:

    --Sleeping in the apprentice's den--

  • Ghostfeather

Ghostfeather nodded to Featherpool and turned to Cloudwhisker. "Blazestorm and Stonetuft found her. I don't know what they were doing snooping around in Sunclan territory, but it was lucky for her that they did. She got caught in a rockslide and her leg was broken from it." He explained. "She can't get back to her own camp safely so we brought her here for Featherpool to take care of."

He remembered the Medicine cat speaking of the gathering.. He did wonder who would speak for the leader during the meeting... "We'll bring her back to her clan at tonights gathering... We have to figure out who will speak on the behalf of our clan, since we don't have a leader..."

    Blazestorm

Blazestorm nodded and had turned away. "We'll talk with them later about it." He spoke. "I'm going to go eat before we get too into it, though. Er... care to join me?" He asked her. He felt a little... weird asking that- mostly because he really never spoke with Stonetuft until now. But... she wasn't all that bad. In fact, she was pretty tolerable.

    Shatterstone
He let out a soft chuckle and nodded. "Yes, yes, you did get me. Great job. That was a great tactic, and I can tell you really pushed yourself past your comfort zone." He spoke. "You keep that up, and you'll prove everyone wrong. I know you will." He decided he would leave the wound be for now-- since it wasn't even really that big- and continue training.

"Let's try it again. I want you to try and take me down. Use your body weight and your teeth to drag me down." He instructed her. "I'm going to act like an actual cat would in the situation movement-wise." He added, prepping himself. "Go."

    Cougarkit | Grasskit | Petalstorm
Cougarkit let out a small laugh at her joke, with Grasskit looking between the two of them. "That was mean." She huffed.

"Larkkit was just teasing." Cougarkit pointed out. "Let him go pout about it."

"Grasskit's right." Petalstorm commented. "That was mean of you. You should go apologize, Larkkit."

Grasskit looked between the two before she had followed out after Nettlekit. With the both of them out of the Nursery, Petalstorm had gotten up herself, and nudged Larkkit out of the den with her.

  • ooc omg wait no can they be like a brat tag team? Like they just snark at everything that comes within ten feet of them and hive five each other for every burn, whilst also constantly being rude to each other? Just, like, a constant stream of bickering.

    FeatherPool:

The tom twitched his whiskers as he bound herbs around SnakeBelly's leg, who was watching Crimsonpaw with quiet amber eyes.

"And where have you been?" He asked. At first it sounded as if he was upset, but there was a hint of amusement beneath his words, clearly he hadn't minded. "Off on an adventure, I hope." It was no secret that FeatherPool had wanted to be a Warrior, not a medicine cat. "This is SnakeBelly, the Sunclan Deputy." he introduced her. SnakeBelly dipped her head. "I mean no offence, SnakeBelly," FeatherPool continued, "But I can't leave you alone with my apprentice. I trust you'd never aim to harm her, but I can't take that chance with perhaps the most important cat in the whole clan." FeatherPool knew better than anyone how valuable a medicine cat apprentice was. When his mentor suddenly passed if he hadn't been around there would have been no more medicine cats in Eclipseclan again. FeatherPool glanced over at CrimsonPaw. "Something for pain, CrimsonPaw, quick as you can." He instructed. SnakeBelly was squirming in discomfort at her injury.

    DaisyStem:

DaisyStem laughed, he wasn't finished. "I can't stand the she-cat, but hey, each to their own." Sparing his brother, DaisyStem allowed the subject change. "Truth be told, I haven't the foggiest. Probably sleeping in, that lazy bones. I'll wake him up and run him through his paces when we get back." He tilted his head thoughtfully, "Fancy joining us for a training session?" Last time AcornLeap had trained with the terrible duo they'd teased him mercilessly, coming up with the nickname 'Acorn stumble'. DaisyStem suspected AcornLeap's answer was no.

    StoneTuft | NettleKit

Stonetuft started at his question. Besides her brother she kept to herself. Her brother had been through a lot, especially with DustHeart's passing. No one had known the two had a thing and so FeatherPool had been left in isolated mourning. That and being thrust into the role of medicine cat before his time had all left Stonetuft with a handful of emotional problems to care for. She'd spent all her time making sure he was okay she'd had none to make friends of her own. She brightened considerably at the idea of eating with BlazeStorm and gave her head a nod. "You know what, BlazeStorm? That wouldn't be terrible." She responded, trotting happily over to the fresh kill pile, her stump tail sticking up in the air merrily. Nettlekit was sitting at the fresh kill pile, looking miserable. He hadn't noticed GrassKit padding out towards him.

    GingerPaw:

Gingerpaw made it back to camp without incident and poked her head into the apprentice den. "Shrewpaw? Smokepaw?" She called, "Wake up! It's nearly midday. What are you, badgers?" She laughed, the tip of her tail twitching. "Come on, let's eat!"

    SwirlPaw:

Before the word 'go' had fully left ShatterStone's mouth SwirlPaw was on him. She barrelled into his side in an attempt to knock him into the ground, her mouth fastened on his scruff, not tight enough to break skin, but firm enough to keep its grip if he didn't struggle too much. Swirlpaw's exhaustion had faded to be replaced with a feeling of liveliness. She'd never realised how much she loved combat. It was as if her own injured paws were dragging the rest of herself along, instead of the other way around. This is my calling. She realised. I just need to want it bad enough.

    RavenWing:

RavenWing spotted PetalStorm with LarkKit and trotted over, wondering what was going on.

    LarkKit:

"haha, yeah, teasing, suuure." LarkKit mewed amusedly. When PetalStorm spoke up she quietened down, though. She didn't say sorry, but didn't resist being ushered out of the nursery either. She cast a worried look back at Cougarkit."Remember my bravery!" She squealed jokingly.

  • Occ: For Shrewpaw and Daisystem? Totally!

    Crimsonpaw:

Crimsonpaw was glad that Featherpool wasn't upset at her absence. She nodded polietly to Snakebelly and then turned to grab some poppy seeds from the herb store.

"Ravenwing had left the camp to take a walk so I went with her, I figured she could use the company," Crimsonpaw explained with a small shrug as she brought the poppy seeds over to Snakebelly and pushed the seeds towards her so that she could eat them. "The poppy seeds will ease your pain, Snakebelly," Crimsonpaw chirped, "Isn't that right Featherpool? Anyway, I also gave Ravenwing some Thyme to help her calm down."

    Cloudwhisker:

Cloudwhisker nodded, taking in what Ghostfeather had told him. Yes, the gathering was tonight.

"Well, Ghostfeather if I could make a suggestion," Cloudwhisker began, "I would very much like to accompany you and the others to the gathering. As for a standin for our leader, I believe that you should do so. You took charge this morning when the news of Sparrowstar's death came to us, it is only right that you take charge at the gathering as well."

    Mossfur:

The tortoiseshell she-cat sat up at when she heard her apprentice's name being called. Ah, it was being called by Gingerpaw. Mossfur had almost forgotten about Smokepaw. Mossfur decided that after he woke up she would scold him on sleeping in. Daisystem could deal with his own apprentice when he got home.

    Acornleap:

Acornleap chuckled, Shrewpaw was lazy for an apprentice. Acornleap bristled again, remembering the time when he had last sat in on a training session with his brother and Shrewpaw.

"After you called me Acorn-stumble for a moon? No thanks!" Acornleap snorted and lashed his tail in mock aggression.

    Shrewpaw:

The pretty looking tom yawned and stretched. He blinked open his blue eyes and narrowed them when the first thing he saw was the pushy and arrogant ginger apprentice, Gingerpaw.

"What do you want Gingerpaw?" Shrewpaw grumbled, turning over in his nest, "Daisystem hasn't even woken me up yet. So I still have time to sleep!" the tom protested.

If Shrewpaw could, he would stay in his nest all day long.

  • Ghostfeather

Ghostfeather nodded. "I think it would be good for you to accompany us..." He took a moment. Him.... standing up with the other leaders? Not exactly something he would quite expect to ever do... It made him nervous. "As for me being up there.. well, we'll see what Featherpool thinks about it as well." He turned towards the Medicine cat den. "We should probably go in and speak with him soon. I have some questions for Snakebelly..."

    Blazestorm | Grasskit
Blazestorm had to admit- he was a bit shocked she was so overly happy by his suggestion. He had followed after her anyways to the fresh kill pile. "What are you two doing over here?" He asked the kits once he noticed them, picking out a squirrel to eat. "Shouldn't you be in the nursery?"

"I'm coming to cheer Nettlekit up." Grasskit told the silver-white tom. "We won't bother you! I promise."

"... Okay, does your mothers know you're over here?"

"My mother does." She answered back. He responded back with nothing more but a flick of his tail after he noticed the cream-colored tabby sitting at the entrance of the Nursery. He settled himself in and began to eat at the squirrel he had picked out. "So... your brother is doing a real good job, you know that? First he gets forced to be a medicine cat apprentice, and becomes a medicine cat early, and now he's practically leading a clan. He sure knows how to adapt.." He muttered to Stonetuft.

    Shatterstone
Shatterstone had stumbled a bit from her sudden start before his call, and tried to keep himself standing. Her tugging on his pelt with her full weight as well had made this more difficult for him. He dug his claws into the earth and tried to shake her off of him. She was so energetic. This was perhaps the most successful training session they had in a while, actually.

He tried to shake her off a little more, but with her firm grip on him, he was unable to, and in fact, he tumbled to the ground shortly after. The large tom quickly scrambled back to his paws and shook out some dirt and leaves from his pelt. "Well done!" He exclaimed. "That was great, Swirlpaw! Now, I want you to counter, got it?"

He moved in towards her and swiped his paw at her, then another coming from the other side, trying to keep up to speed.

    Petalstorm
Petalstorm turned her attention to Ravenwing. "Ahh, Ravenwing. Welcome back, how was your walk?" She asked. "Your kits have been doing well, though Larkkit needs to apologize to her brother." She nudged her along. "They've been getting along well with my kits otherwise."

She felt bad still- remember about Cloudfur again now that Ravenwing was back... She wanted to try and keep a pleasant attitude for the queen, so she could relax, and have less emotional stress. She wondered about how her kits would react to the news they still didn't know...

    Smokepaw
Smokepaw groaned a bit, unmoving until he let the words sink in a bit more. He jolted up from where he was laying and quickly squeezed through the entrance past Gingerpaw. "You're not joking are you?" He whined. "Mossfur is going to KILL me!" He sat down outside of the den, and started to pluck moss from his fur, and flattening it out to make himself look at least a little more appealing. It was only a couple moons ago that he was made an apprentice, and he was still getting used to it all- and his mentor too, who he had to admit, he was a little intimidated by.

He looked around the camp, then his eyes settled on Gingerpaw. "Why didn't you come wake me up? What all did I miss?"

  • ooc Sick!

    ic

    Featherpool | SnakeBelly

FeatherPool blinked down at his apprentice, a feeling of falling short settling over him. Here was CrimsonPaw, younger than he had been when he'd first become a medicine cat apprentice, doing amazingly kind things for her clan mates. He beamed down at her, the inferiority being replaced with pride, "That was very thoughtful of you, CrimsonPaw." he ruffled the fur on her head with a grey paw, "Perhaps we'll make a medicine cat out of you yet." He teased, "And good thinking on the poppy seeds. I know it's the basic stuff you learn first, but that means it can be the first thing you forget!" He didn't mention how he often forgot what simple herbs did.

SnakeBelly looked at CrimsonPaw then at FeatherPool. "There are only two of you?" she asked, in confusion. "Shouldn't there be more medicine cats?" It was normal amongst the solar clans to have at least three cats in medicine at a time. Usually two medicine cats and one apprentice. Featherpool opened his mouth to answer but SnakeBelly pushed on. "And what happened to KinkedFur?" FeatherPool flinched at that, his breath catching in his throat. He didn't know what to say. Images of a grumpy, brown furred cat blinked into his mind. He stumbled about the den grumbling this and that. FeatherPaw watching him in a mixture of amazement and sadness. He didn't want to be there, he wanted to be out with the other apprentices, training for battle! Kinked fur joked about his distant mind and did his best to keep the young tom's spirits high. He was the only good thing about the whole situation.

"Listen closely, Featherpaw." he said, "You'll need to remember this one day." FeatherPaw blinked up at him.

"Remember what?" he asked. KinkedFur was holding a herb towards him, but FeatherPool had no clue what it was. No matter how hard he strained his mind the herb only fuzzed out of view "Remember what!?" FeatherPaw's voice rose in worry, then hysteria. KinkedFur's face was melting in front of him, gargled coughs spouted out of his sagging mouth, blood dripping from it's side. "KinkedFur! Don't leave me alone! I can't! KinkedFur!" The medicine cat melting into the floor, disappearing from view. DustHeart stood behind him, scathing amber eyes fixed on him.

    "It's you're fault I'm dead."

FeatherPool blinked rapidly down at SnakeBelly. "...Excuse me..." He gave his head a shake, his eyes misting, "CrimsonPaw, would you mind leading SnakeBelly outside? She should stretch her leg. It's not broken, only pulled, she'll need to keep it warm if she's to make it to the gathering tonight." he looked around, "I should... organise my herbs..." He muttered, his eyes glazed.

    DaisyStem:

DaisyStem suppressed a laugh, "fair enough." He chuckled, then silenced himself. He'd spotted a group of fish. He nodded towards it with his brother, "Shall we?"

    StoneTuft:

StoneTuft sighed, "No, he doesn't." murmured, then, thinking better of admitted how close FeatherPool was to splitting at the seams, she flicked her ear, "Well, I mean, he's doing the best he can with what he's been given." She glanced over to the medicine den, her eyes distant. "I worry about him..." She gave herself a shake, "Can you remind me, I'm a bit out of touch, who are your siblings?"

    GingerPaw:

Gingerpaw stalked over to him and jumped up and down on his nest. "Get! Up! Get! Up!" She prodded him over and over, "I'm hungry and I don't want to eat a lone, it'll look odd.' She glanced over at Smokepaw, who'd finally woken. She noted the moss in his fur and let out a murrow of amusement, "Moss fur 2.0" She joked, then, her face turning grim. "Oh, that..." She padded over to him, looking at the body in the centre. "Sparrowstar was killed. Cloudfur is missing." She looked at Smokepaw, "You two chose the worst morning to sleep in."

    SwirlPaw:

Swirlpaw dodged, then dodged again, her eyes alight with fire. Then, almost as suddenly as this spell of liveliness had overcome her, her legs gave out and she collapsed onto her belly, breathing rapidly, her energy spent. She looked pitifully at the ground, embarrassment spreading through her. "Just... One second..." She gasped.

    RavenWing:

"Thank you so much PetalStorm." She mewed, looking down at LarkKit, "If you don't mind, I need to speak with LarkKit and NettleKit alone. I think apologies can be left for later." She smiled weakly at PetalStorm. She couldn't express how grateful she was to the other queen.

    NettleKit:

NettleKit looked at Grasskit at the sound of her voice. He was half way through a mouse but had lost his appetite. "I appreciate the thought, but I'm find." He murmured grumpily.

  • Crimsonpaw:

Crimsonpaw purred warmly at the praise she received from Featherpool. She was trying her best, being half kitty-pet she often got teased by the other apprentices. Hearing the praise from Featherpool made her feel like she could do anything. She was grateful for her mentor. Then something odd happened to Featherpool, he seemed distant and Crimsonpaw saw his jaws move but no words come out. Then suddenly it was like he was back with the two other cats in the medicine den. Did he get a message from Starclan? Crimsonpaw wondered.

She nodded in response to his command, it was obvious he wanted to be alone. "Come on, Snakebelly," Crimsonpaw mewed gently to the injured deputy. She helped the Sun-clan deputy out of the medicine cat's den and wondered why Featherpool was acting so strange.

    Cloudwhisker:

The grey and white tom nodded in agreement. "Of course, we will see if Featherpool has gotten any messages from Starclan regarding the next leader and deputy," he meowed, "Though I still believe you should be the one to stand there tonight."

Cloudwhisker turned as he noticed Crimsonpaw pad out of the den with Snakebelly.

"Perhaps our talk with Featherpool will have to wait," Cloudwhisker murmured to Ghostfeather, "For now, we can talk with our guest there."

    Mossfur:

Mossfur got up and stretched, she saw Smokepaw sitting outside of the den plucking moss out of his fur. Mossfur rolled her eyes and stalked over to him, she overheard the last of Gingerpaw's comment about it being the worst morning to wake up. That much was true. It also meant that Smokepaw knew what was going on.

"I would be upset at you for sleeping in on a normal day," Mossfur began in a sharp tone, "But to sleep in on this particular day... There are no words to describe my shame and disappointment."

    Acornleap:

The tabby tom spotted the fish that Daisystem had gestured to.
"Watch this!" Acornleap purred and crouched by the edge of the stream. He raised his paw and swung downward to try and catch the fish with his claws. He stumbled over himself, and instead of catching the fish Acornleap ended face first into the stream.

The ginger tom struggled and flailed for a moment before sitting up. He coughed a couple of times before he twitched his whiskers in amusement.

"Looks like both of us are wet now," Acornleap teased and stood to shake the water out of his fur.

    Shrewpaw:

The white tom sat up, that news had driven whatever tiredness remained in his bones. His fur bristled.

"You're lying," Shrewpaw hissed at Gingerpaw.

That just couldn't be true! Gingerpaw had to be lying. They couldn't lose their leader and their deputy in one day.

  • SnakeBelly

"What's up with him?" she muttered as CrimsonPaw helped her out, then, "Where is KinkedFur?"

    FeatherPool

The second CrimsonPaw and SnakeBelly where out of ear shot FeatherPool went to the corner of his den and collapsed onto the ground, sobbing into his paws, his whole body shivering in misery. He tried to be quiet, but he knew at the very least Ghostfeather, who had been near the den, could hear him. FeatherPool muffled his own cries as best he could, but he couldn't stop them, either.

    DaisyStem:

DaisyStem let out a hearty laugh, "I knew there was a reason we called you Acorn Stumble!" He guffawed, then, his eyes looked at his brother happily, his face became more serious. "Acorn Leap... I want you to know, if anything were to ever happen to me..." His voice trailed off, the dead body of SparrowStar fresh in his mind. Fear trailed throughout his body. What if something happens to me? He thought fearfully. "AcornLeap, you are a wonderful brother, and no matter what I'll always have your back." He mewed. "Do you have mine?"

    GingerPaw:

GingerPaw looked tiredly back at Shrewpaw, "Yawn, I don't have time for such silly accusations. Me? Lie? I pride my gossip skills better than that." Gingerpaw's fur puffed up at MossFur's mean comment. "I'm sure your ecstatic, MossFur." She hissed, preparing the most insulting comment she could think of. She had to out-do sleeping in on the day of the leaders death to divert the snappy mentor's attention away from SmokePaw, but she was confident she could do it. She raised her voice as loudly as she could, "You wanted SparrowStar dead, don't you deny it. You blame her for the death of your brother, DustHeart." She narrowed her eyes, "That's right. I heard you earlier." Her heart beat in fearful anticipation. EmberPelt had heard and his eyes fixed on MossFur. His mate had died in the same way DustHeart had, perhaps he too blamed SparrowStar or perhaps he did not. His gaze gave nothing away.

  • Ghostfeather

Ghostfeather nodded. "Right. She looks like she's doing a little better anyways." He started his way towards the Sunclan deputy and Crimsonpaw, but paused as he passed the medicine cat den. He looked towards the entrance, his ears perking up before he eyed back at Cloudwhisker. "... You go speak with her. Ask about what's been going on. Maybe consult Blazestorm and Stonetuft too. Stonetuft said she had something to talk about with Cloudfur and Sunclan."

With that, he stalked back towards Featherpool's den. He peaked in from the entrance, hearing his sobs much more clearly. "Featherpool?" He spoke softly. "Do you mind if I come in...?"

    Blazestorm
Blazestorm had paused, silent, his stare vacant for a short moment before shaking his head. "I used to. Not anymore." He simply said. "Shortspeck has been gone for so long I'm almost certain she's fox food now." He bit into his squirrel more. "Any other siblings I had didn't have a chance." He added in.

With that, he dropped the subject. He didn't want to talk about his missing adopted sibling- or the siblings of his that were born dead... He just didn't want to. He looked over to see Snakebelly exiting Featherpool's den with Crimsonpaw. "I think we have some time to go speak with her after we eat too. I want to know what happened to Cloudfur..."

    Shatterstone
The moment she collapsed, Shatterstone relaxed his body, sitting himself beside her. "Alright... maybe that should be enough for training today. I really worked you hard." He spoke. "Good job today, though. I expect to see this more often. I think that energy is exactly what you need to be great." He purred.

"I'll let you rest, then we should head back." He meowed, waiting for her patiently.

    Petalstorm | Cougarkit | Jasperkit | Grasskit
Petalstorm nodded. "Of course. I'll take my kits to the fresh kill pile for now. The Nursery is yours for..." She cut off, nodding to the other queen. "I'll send Nettlekit your way."

She turned and motioned with her head for her two other kits to follow her, both of which obliged. Jasperkit stuck at his mother's paws while Cougarkit took the lead, running to the fresh kill pile.

Grasskit's ears flattened as she stared at the other worriedly. "Are you sure. I--" She turned her attention to her sister who came up to them. "Hey, Nettlekit, your mom wants you." Cougarkit spoke. "You should go over there."

Petalstorm and Jasperkit had followed, approaching. The queen had sat herself down beside Stonetuft and picked out a fat vole for herself. "Hello Stonetuft, Blazestorm." She greeted. "How was the retrieval..?"

    Smokepaw

Smokepaw lowered himself down, his ears flattening to his head in shame. "I-I'm sorry I didn't know--" He apologized. He didn't know what else to say-- and he knew he was going to have to take the scolding from his mentor for even longer. It was his fault for sleeping in-- he knew that. But he didn't know Sparrowstar was dead... and Cloudfur... A pang of guilt and sorrow washed over him as he stared at the body that laid in the camp.

His attention turned to Gingerkit who spoke to his mentor about Sparrowstar, then stared at Mossfur. "That's not true...! Mossfur wouldn't wish death on anyone, let alone Sparrowstar...!" He protested. "R-Right...?"

  • FeatherPool:

FeatherPool cursed under his breath, forcing himself to calm down. "Uh...Y-yeah, come on in." He mewed, sitting himself and wiping a paw over his face. He realised there was no way Ghostfeather hadn't heard his little break down. His ears flattened at the thought.

    StoneTuft:

StoneTuft looked at him sadly. "If it helps," she mewed quietly, "you can think of your sibling in starclan." StoneTuft smiled weakly, "I like to think my parents are up there, finding good hunting." With that she, too, dropped the subject. She nodded over at SnakeBelly, "yeah good plan." She poked over the fresh kill pile and gasped. "Someone caught a stout!" She cried in excitement, "My favourite!" She grabbed it and tucked in greedily. She was a rather muscley, broad shouldered female and needed a lot of food. She wolfed the whole thing down quickly, letting out a satisfied sigh once she'd finished. "I realise that wasn't particularly graceful but when it comes to stout I couldn't care less." She mewed, licking her lips. She frowned, 'Hmm, tasted slightly odd..." She mumbled to herself, "Maybe I'm going off stout..." She didn't realise how odd she must be sounding. Thankfully, PetalStorm came to her rescue. She gave her a nod, "It went... alright. We saved the Sunclan deputy along the way." She added

    GingerPaw:

Gingerpaw smirked, "Who knows, Smokepaw, stranger things have happened." She narrowed her eyes at Mossfur, "I'm just kidding around, Mossy." She sneered, "I know you don't have the guts." She stretched, "I'm still hungry, too. What a morning.

    SwirlPaw:

Swirlpaw looked up at him, sad she couldn't train anymore, but understanding that he was right. She gave a nod. "Yeah, I suppose. I'm gonna rest here for a bit." She could barely move her head to look at Shatterstone, but she couldn't hid her gratitude. She'd never felt more sure that her training would go along fine, her worries of her future vanishing. I won't be forced to be a medicine cat like FeatherPool. She thought, deeply relieved.

    NettleKit:

NettleKit gave a nod and padded over to RavenWing, giving JasperKit and GrassKit a weak smile on his way.

  • Ooc: I really like it as well! I won't be able to post right off the bat tomorrow. I've got classes. So I'll be on around 230pm EST.

    Crimsonpaw:

Crimsonpaw sat outside the medicine den with Snakebelly. She knew that Featherpool was upset.

Crimsonpaw shrugged, "I didn't know Kinkedfur, he died when I was still in the nursery. It was a very unexpected death. Kinkedfur and Featherpool were close. That's all I really know."

    Cloudwhisker:

Cloudwhisker nodded to Ghostfeather as he padded into the medicine cat's den to speak with Featherpool. For now, Cloudwhisker would talk with Snakebelly to see if the deputy of Sunclan knew if anything were going on. Strange deaths and things of the sort. Out of the corner of his eye he spotted Blazestorm padding over to them. No doubt to question Snakebelly.

"Snakebelly, have... well I guess I should start from the beginning. What were you, the Sunclan deputy, doing so close to Eclipse Clan territory?" Cloudwhisker questioned the she-cat.

Cloudwhisker saw no reason to dismiss Crimsonpaw, she wasn't doing any harm sitting there.

    Mossfur:

Mossfur bristled at the remarks the little apprentice was making. She raised her paw, claws sheathed, and aim to strike the ginger apprentice across her ear. If her blow hit, it would be a blow of disciplinary and the sting would surely bring the apprentice back to her senses.

"I'd watch what I'd say if I were you," Mossfur growled lowly at Gingerpaw, "After all, what would Cloudwhisker think of you speaking to another warrior with suck fowl intentions?" The tortoiseshell warrior sneered. If there was one way to get to Gingerpaw, it was through the apprentice's pride.

Mossfur turned to Smokepaw, true, she had been a little harsh on her apprentice. "Smokepaw, due to today's events you are excused from your usual duties. You have today free to mourn." Mossfur dipped her head to her apprentice then glared back at Gingerpaw.

The pretty tortoiseshell warrior sat down and curled her tail over her paws. "While I did have my quarrels with Sparrowstar, she was still a good leader. I would never wish any ill on her," Mossfur's words were quiet and sincere. Mossfur could never forgive Sparrowstar and some of the others, even Acornleap, but she still thought highly of them.

    Acornleap:

The tabby tom curled his lip playfully at his brother and pulled himself out of the water. Acornleap sat at the edge of the stream and listened to Daisystem's words.

"Although as siblings, I hold different views compared to yours and our sister's," Acornleap began, "You are still my brother. I've got your back, no matter what." Acornleap stood and headbutted Daisystem's shoulder affectionately. "Nothing is going to happen to you Daisystem, nothing is going to happen to any of us. Okay?"

    Shrewpaw:

Shrewpaw rolled his eyes at Gingerpaw.

"How can you make accusations at another warrior when even you don't know what happened? How can you even stomach eating after knowing what happened to your, our, leader and deputy?" Shrewpaw spat at Gingerpaw. "I'm not eating with you." Shrewpaw lashed his tail and stalked out of the apprentice's den past Gingerpaw.

Shrewpaw dipped his head to Smokepaw, an invitation of sorts to join the white apprentice by Sparrowstar's body to grieve. Whether Smokepaw would take the offer or not Shrewpaw did not know. He also nodded to Mossfur. Although the she-cat was cold and stubborn, he could feel mistrust towards the tortoiseshell warrior.

  • Ghostfeather

The tom entered the den carefully, keeping his eye on Featherpool. "I uh... heard you in here." He spoke. "I won't tell anyone else, I'm just wanting to make sure you're okay." Once he was closer to the other tom, he sat himself down. "I understand this is a lot... and it's stressful... if you want to take a break from it, me and Cloudwhisker can take over for a bit. He suggested I speak on behalf of Eclipseclan at the gathering." He explained.

He thought a moment. "Is there something else bothering you, Featherpool?" He asked. "If you don't want to talk about it, that's fine, but I'm just a little worried is all."

    Blazestorm
Blazestorm had joined them, sitting himself down beside Cloudwhisker. He would let the white and gray tom ask his questions, but he wanted to add to his first question first. "And while you were near the border, had you seen Cloudfur?" He asked. "We found you because we found his fur and blood leading to your borders." He explained.

    Shatterstone
Shatterstone nodded and waited for a moment. He froze up and smelled the air, before he moved away from here for a moment. He had disappeared into the bushes, before he had come back with a mouse. He dropped it down in front of her. "Here. Eat it- it should give you more energy." He told her. "I think you well deserve it, too."

He sat himself back down, and waited on her patiently, awaiting for her to eat the fresh kill and rest.

    Petalstorm
Petalstorm nodded. "I saw her. I was wondering why she was here... I'm a little uneasy of her being in our camp with my kits around, but I'd think she wouldn't be dumb enough to cause any trouble... plus we're on good terms with Sunclan, I suppose."

The queen had bit into her fresh kill, before she spoke once again. "How did you save her? What happened?" She asked.

    Smokepaw
Smokepaw stared at Gingerpaw for a long while before he nodded his head to his mentor respectfully. "Thank you Mossfur." He quietly mumbled before he ducked away after Shrewpaw to go mourn for his leader's death. He was a little afraid to see her... He had always seen her so lively and always looked up to her- even as a kit and now...

She laid dead. her body still and covered in lacerations and gnarly scratches. Blood matted most of her pelt, making it barely recognizable. He could notice the work Featherpool had done to probably make it look a little better, but even with his best effort, it didn't make it look any better at all.

He cringed at the sight of her, and sat himself down, staring at her lifeless body sadly. "Who would do this. What are we going to do?" He wondered, turning his attention to Shrewpaw. "With Sparrowstar dead and Cloudfur missing?"
