  • Ghostfeather

Ghostfeather was at a loss for words for a short moment, before he finally spoke. "W-Wait! What about a leader- a-and a deputy--!" He called to the Starclan cat who faded away... Wolf, snake, pigeon... what did it all mean? He turned his attention to Featherpool. "What... what does that mean?" He asked. "Is it referring to cats that could be... traitors?" He asked.

He couldn't believe it. He had just seen Whitepaw... that's why she looked familiar...

    Blazestorm
Blazestorm paused, listening closely to the mews. "Yeah I hear it. I..." He looked back. "Let's be careful, but we should go look at what happened... It could be Cloudfur for all we know." He lowered himself more, and stalked forward. "We'll make it quick."

He knew it was probably not the best idea to just leave the other three without guards especially with what had happened- but he felt that if what they heard COULD have been Cloudfur, then they should go help him. He couldn't bear to think that he could have helped him- saved him- but didn't. "Stay close." He added in. "We shouldn't stay too far away from each other."

    Shatterstone
Shatterstone perked up proudly. "Well done! That's a well-sized mouse too~." He praised. "I knew you could do it." He looked around, parting his mouth a bit to find anything else- catching the smell of a squirrel. "I suppose I should catch something as well.." He muttered, lowering himself and starting to approach where he smelled the creature. Seeing it just at the base of a tree and crouched and stalked forward slowly, keeping his eyes trained on the squirrel.

Once he was close enough, he sprint forward and pounced on the unsuspecting squirrel, standing straight again with the small creature limp in his jaws. "Let's go see what else we can find." He spoke with the squirrel between his teeth.

    Cougarkit | Jasperkit | Grasskit

Cougarkit soon caught her sister as well, and got bored of Grasskit being unable to catch her once again-- leaving her to quit playing and instead join the other two. "I'm definitely going to be the leader's apprentice! I'll be the best apprentice they'll have, they'd promote me to deputy right away!" She exclaimed, puffing out her chest.

"I don't think it works that way, Cougarkit." Her brother commented. "Who do you think will be the new leader and deputy?" He asked curiously.

Grasskit seemed a little disappointed that the game ended, but since the other kits seemed to be talking, she instead plopped herself down in front of Nettlekit. "Hey Nettlekit, do you wanna play a different game?" She asked.

  • FeatherPool:

Whitepaw disappeared from view, and the clearing returned to normal. Featherpool shook out his fur, standing up in shock, his paws working on the ground. He looked over at Ghostfeather. "No... it can't be... who would...?" He shook his head, "I understand that Sparrowstar has enemies, but everyone loved Cloudfur!" He narrowed his eyes, "Or, I don't know, maybe they never intended Cloudfur to be here." Featherpool took in a long breath. "I'm too young for this." He sounded near tears. "Oh, Dustheart, why did you have to go...?" He muttered to himself unintentionally. He cringed at himself and hoped Ghostfeather hadn't heard that last part.

    StoneTuft:

Stonetuft nodded, crouching down just behind him as they slowly progressed towards their border with SUnclan. The trees began to thin, the hot sun beating down between them. "This is why I could never be a Sunclanner." Stonetuft mutter as her body temperature began to rise uncomfortably. "To much darn heat all day. Imagine how hot it get's on those tall rock plateau's they live on." Stonetuft shuddered at the thought.

As the scent of Eclipseclan territory faded and Sunclan began to mingle around then, the smell of fear fuzzed in the air. There, at the base of one of the sheer rock faces of Sunclan territory, was a cat, trapped beneath heavy red boulders. It wasn't Cloudfur. Instead, a nearly black she-cat, lithe and tall, with grey ears and two grey front paws, was squirming beneath them, letting out pained calls as she went. Stonetuft glanced up. Two hawks were circling above.

"I know it's not Cloudfur," Stonetuft began, remembering how people had protested at her supporting the patrol to help sunclan, "And I know they killed our leader and took our deputy," She added, "But... we can't just leave her."

    SwirlPaw:

The apprentice smiled, trying not to feel down and how much faster Shatterstone had caught his. She knew this was her lot, and she'd have to deal with that. She swivelled her ears and Emberpelt loudly padded over to them, two fat voles clamping in his jaw. He looked pleased with himself, his fur bushed up. He placed them on the floor.

"No need." He mewed, "I reckon we have enough here, don't you?" He asked.

    LarkKit:

LarkKit laughed at CougarKit, "You, Deputy? Don't be daft." She chuckled, "Cleary, that position will go to me." As settled down, her face turning serious, "Hm, but as to who will actually get the role?" She wondered, "I like Ghostfeather's chances for one of the spots. And, if not him, then either Cloudwhisker or Blazestorm."

    NettleKit:

NettleKit paused in thought, then nodded. "Yes, I have an idea for a game, but you must promise not to tell anyone." He told her conspiratorially.

  • Ghostfeather

The large tom nudged the medicine cat. "It'll be alright. We'll make sense of it." He assured him. "We should carry Sparrowstar back and have her buried." He meowed. "We can speak about what we just saw later."

He returned to the side of the dead and slightly less mangled she-cat, starting to carefully pull her weight onto him. He could feel the blood from her body start to soak into his silver fur as he did so. "Let's go..." He turned towards where they came from, starting to slowly walk back with Sparrowpaw on his back.

    Blazestorm
Blazestorm seemed hesitant- mostly because they were in Sunclan territory with no cover, and plus, he felt sour with what just happened. Though, he was taught to help a cat in need... "We can't just go out into the open either. What if a patrol spots us? Or smells us on a later patrol..."

He thought on it a moment. He looked at the she-cat, and noticed she didn't seem to really let up on the idea of helping the she-cat... "..... fine. We'll make it quick." He grumbled. He hated helping one of the cats that were assumed to be a Sunclanner, but he wouldn't be able to change Stonetuft's mind and it was dangerous for her to go out there on her own.

He nodded to her and moved ahead, looking around cautiously before he darted forward towards the rocks to the trapped she-cat. He stopped when he had made it to her, and immediately started to push rocks off of her. "Help me with this." He grunted, using all his weight and strength to push on the boulder.

    Shatterstone
"Oh- right." Shatterstone nodded. "Alright, we can bring this back. Maybe after we get back, we can go train for a bit if you're not too tired." He looked to Swirlpaw with a gentle look. He was suggesting this to keep her busy- with the news she gave them about her finding Sparrowstar, he wanted to make sure he could keep her mind off of it until further notice.

    Cougarkit | Petalstorm | Jasperkit
"Blazestorm? Bleh, no way!" Cougarkit exclaimed. "He's so grumpy all the time! He yelled at me once for running under his paws!"

"Well, perhaps you shouldn't then, hm?" Petalstorm mused from where she laid, her eyes closed but her ears were perked up to indicate that she was still listening. "Blazestorm has his reasons for what he says and does."

"I think Ghostfeather would be great for that position. Cloudwhisker too... Maybe they'll choose those two?" Jasperkit wondered. "Who will choose them?"

"Starclan will." Petalstorm answered her son. "Starclan will guide us with the help of Featherpool."

    Grasskit
Grasskit's eyes widened with wonder. She then leaned in. "Yeah, I won't tell anyone. I promise!" She whispered. "What's the game?"

  • Feather pool followed, taking some of SparrowStar's weight on his own shoulders as they went. He couldn't bring himself to talk more about what had happened, so walked silently until they reutnred to camp with their leaders body. Gasps echoed around the clearing as they brought her in.

Stonetuft followed after him quickly. "Thank you, I won't forget this." She mewed, shifting some boulders. The cat below stopped struggling, she looked exhausted. Stonetuft didn't recognise her, but the scent of Sunclan was unmistakable. Actually, now Stonetuft was getting a better view of this rather gorgeous she cat she realised she did recgonise her. "That's SnakeBelly." She breathed, "The Sunclan deputy. What's she doing here?"

SnakeBelly looked up at them weakly with calculating amber eyes, saying nothing.

Swirlpaw nodded. She felt exhausted and wasn't sure she'd manage, but anything was better than sitting still and thinking about what she'd seen in the clearing... All that blood. She set a fast pace back to camp, as if she could out speed the terrifying thoughts.

LarkKit snorted. "Not Starclan, just Featherpool. Starclan don't exist, obviously. If they did, bad things wouldn't happen. Duh." She stuck her tounge out at them.

Nettlekit smiled. "Perfect. It's called meddle. You sneak around camp and listen in on people as much as you can, to gain as much information as you can, then report back to me. The fun comes when you overhear certain things and make plans." Nettlekit flicked his tail, "I'm particularly good at it, I can hear well and no one suspects a kit."

  • Ghostfeather

Ghostfeather avoided looking at anyone, keeping his head low as he helped carry the leader. He hoped nobody noticed out awful her wounds actually were...

He helped the medicine cat carry her until they were able to set her down, carefully laying her down carefully. He sat beside her body and stared at her sadly. He hadn't bothered to try and clean off the blood that matted his fur down currently. He could feel other cats were gathering around the body, making him feel more nervous---.

    Blazestorm
Blazestorm looked at the she-cat for a moment before he continued to push the boulders. "I don't know. Maybe she's the culprit." He suggested, pushing off the last boulder and stepping back, breathing heavily. "There..." He puffed. "Are... you okay?" He seemed a little hesitant to be NICE.... but maybe if he was, they could buy a little time to get some more information about what was going on...

Who knows, maybe she didn't get herself trapped down here by herself? Maybe someone else done it to her...?

    Shatterstone
Shatterstone followed after her, getting back into camp with the fresh kill. He noticed most everyone had been gathered around a body though... When he realized who it was, he felt sick to his stomach. ".... They brought her back." He mumbled. "Swirlpaw, bring the fresh kill to the fresh kill pile... I'll meet you at the training grounds." He told her, setting his squirrel down for her to pick up for him. He padded quickly to the grouping, weaving past others to get a good look at Sparrowstar. "By Starclan... what happened to her...?"

    Petalstorm | Jasperkit
Petalstorm opened her eyes. "Of course Starclan exists." She meowed. "There's always a reason for bad things happening. Starclan guides us through those bad things." She watched the kits carefully, and even casting a look in Nettlekit and Grasskit's direction.

Jasperkit sat himself down. "But... What about.."

"Everything happens for a reason." Petalstorm spoke. She then looked out of the entrance of the Nursery... "They must have brought her back.." She mumbled under her breath to herself.

    Grasskit
Grasskit seemed a little unsure about this game, but nodded to him. "A...Alright! I'll be back!" She exclaimed. She had snuck away out of the entrance of the den while Petalstorm wasn't paying much attention to her, and ran quickly to hide. Everyone was gathering around something- her perfect chance...! She quickly waddled to the grouping up cats, weaving through their paws to see what was going on...

    ...

What she saw wasn't what she expected... the blood, just how... unnatural her body looked, it left Grasskit horrified. That was Sparrowstar... what happened to Sparrowstar? She backed off a bit, her green eyes wide as she did so, her ears flattening to her head. She quickly darted back to a good spot to hide, and listened in to what was going on. What happened. What they were going to do.

  • FeatherPool | Emberpelt

Featherpool noticed the blood matting Ghostfeather. "Come with me, I'll clean you off." He mewed quietly to the tom, leaning down to his ear. Other cats were walking around Sparrowstar's body, looking it up and down. Emberpelt was aghast.

"What happened to her?" he asked, eying the body warily. Featherpool flicked on of his ears, turning first to Shatterstone and then Emberpelt, considering their questions with a finicky gaze.

"Rouges or a fox, we aren't sure yet." He responded with a smooth lie. "We still haven't located Cloudfur." At least that much is true. Featherpool thought bitterly. He nodded at Ghostfeather, "Come." He said, and moved towards the medicine cat den.

    DaisyStem | GingerPaw

DaisyStem was walking back across the moonclan border. He'd strayed a bit too far over the scent line and was returning. He failed to notice the bright ginger pelt of Gingerpaw as he walked back. He didn't watching his footing and accidentally tumbled into the river, his fur getting drenched.

"Foxdung." He cursed, clambering out. Gingerpaw suppressed a giggle.

    StoneTuff | SnakeBelly

Stonetuft looked down at the she-cat and realised with a start her back left leg was at an odd angle. The she-cat got to her feet shakily. She looked at Stonetuft, and then turned her brilliant amber gaze on Blazestorm.

"Thank starclan you both were here." She murmured, dipping her head in deep respect. "I would've been hawk food if you hadn't stepped in." She glanced ominously at the sky. "I should get back to my clan, it's not safe for an injured cat out here." She dipped her head and moved to leave, but as she tried to perform the difficult climbing technique to get back up the rock face, as was the necessity in Sunclan territory, her back left leg collapsed under her and she fell with an 'oof' to the group. She let out a small amused laugh, "That was graceful." She muttered, but worry was painted across her face, there was no way she could get back to the Sunclan camp in her state. Stonetuft looked over at BlazeStorm.

"We do want to ask her some questions." She murmured, just so he could hear, as they looked over at her, "We could take her back to Eclipseclan camp - just until her leg is better."

    SwirlPaw:

Swirlpaw saw the cats huddled around something, and guessed what it was, opting to limp her way to the training clearing and wait there. She couldn't bare to see that body again, the image was stuck in her mind enough as it was.

    LarkKit:

"Everything happens for a reason!" LarkKit mocked "Please." She lashed her tail moodily. Then, realising herself, let out a small eep. "Sorry!" She squealed, "I didn't mean to be rude!" She apologised.

    NettleKit:

NettlerKit followed after Grasskit and settled himself down next to her. "What's that smell?" He asked, wrinkling his nose. "What's going on? Too many voices..."

  • Oh! Awesome that map will make things a lot easier thats for sure! Also I made them myself- well, I used bases because I can't draw animals but hey, if you want a couple I could make you them! :^0! ))

    Ghostfeather
Ghostfeather nodded to the medicine cat, lingering around the body for a bit longer before he had forced himself to start moving. What were they going to do about this problem...? He wondered without the proper guidance of Starclan telling them who should be the leader and deputy of how they would choose them.

Thinking back to it, though, he realized something. "Featherpool-- I haven't see... Stonetuft or Blazestorm the entire trip back. They aren't even in camp, I don't believe.." He pointed out.

    Blazestorm
Blazestorm stared at Snakebelly, then to Stonetuft. "I..." He thought on it. "You know, I don't think neither Sunclan or our clan will enjoy that but..." He sighed deeply. "Alright. Our deputy is gone over these borders anyways. If our deputy is going to be borrowed, then so can theirs."

He stepped to the side of the deputy, helping her to her paws and allowing himself as support. "Are you alright with that?" He asked Snakebelly. "Because you can't go back with that leg."

    Shatterstone
Shatterstone stared at her body for a few moments, then to his brother that left into the medicine cat den with Featherpool. He gave Sparrowstar one more quick glance before he turned and padded away towards the training grounds.

Once he had gotten there, he approached Swirlpaw. "Doesn't look good at all." He muttered. "I'm sorry you had to see that. But, let's train, hm? No reason to keep talking about it." He thought for a moment. "I think we should work on fighting some more. Starclan knows you'll need that training with foxes or even rogues about."

    Petalstorm | Cougarkit | Jasperkit
Petalstorm didn't seem irritated at all, in fact, she seemed amused by the kit. At least she apologized. "It's quite alright. I'll consider keeping this out of earshot of your mother~." She hummed.

"When IS Ravenwing coming back?" Cougarkit asked. "To-"

"I'm not sure." She cut her daughter off, giving her a careful look, her tail flicking back and forth. "She will soon, though. She's with Crimsonpaw right now."

"Hmm... Hey Larkkit is there any games you wanna play?" Jasperkit asked, turning to the other kit. "We got to play one of Nettlekit's games, now we should play one of yours!"

When they spoke of Nettlekit, the mother noticed the two kits were not in the Nursery. She decided she would have to watch them outside as well-- getting up from her spot and walking out of the entrance of the den. Noticing that the two kits were not anywhere to be seen, she felt a pit in her stomach begin to form. Where had they gone? Starclan forbid, did they leave camp? "Grasskit! Nettlekit!" She called, searching the camp frantically.

    Grasskit

Grasskit was silent for a moment before she spoke. "It's.... It's a body." She whispered. "Sparrowstar's body. I went to the front, I got to see it. She looks so bad. She's covered in blood, and- and her body isn't shaped the way it should be." She explained. "I can't understand most of the chatter but-"

Upon hearing her own mother's call, she stood up. "We should head back. We can play this game later." She told the other kit-- obviously a bit shaken up as she trotted back to the Nursery with her mother, looking back to see if Nettlekit followed.

  • ooc Wow you're so talented! Sure that'd be awesome :) could you tell me how you do it? Like what software and where you get the bases? I'd love to make some myself :)

    IC

    FeatherPool:

Featherpool's eyes widened. "Sis..." He trailed of, "Oh starclan, you're right." He darted towards the bramble tunnel with surprising speed. "Come on, Ghostfeather!" he called over his shoulder to the tom, "Time to collect our guards!"

    SnakeBelly | StoneTuft

SnakeBelly opened her mouth to protest, then glanced down at her leg. She knew they were right. She accepted their help reluctantly, murmuring a quiet thanks, then tilted her head. "What do you mean? Borrowed deputy?" She asked. Stonetuft shot Blazestorm a look, then responded to the Sunclan Deputy.

"We'll discuss that back at camp." She mewed curtly. "We have a lot to ask you." SnakeBelly had a bad feeling about this. "How did you get yourself trapped under those rocks?" Stonetuft asked. SnakeBelly blinked, thinking.

"There was a feather on the ground." She explained, limping alone, "It looked like it belonged to a baby bird so I went towards it, aiming to pick up a trail. I must have got to close to the edge of the plateau as the ground collapsed beneath me and soon I was caught in a rockslide." She narrowed her eyes, "This is going to sound crazy, but I swear I saw a cat watching me as I fell. Not like a normal cat, more like... a ghost of some kind."

    SwirlPaw:

Swirlpaw nodded, "Whatever you think best." She mewed good-naturedly, "I'll quickly do my exercises and then we can get started." Swirlpaw took a few moments to stretch out her legs. Her back legs and front right paw weren't that bad, but her front left one was far worse than the rest. "Did you know I used to be called BranchKit? Before the accident." She said, finishing up her exercises.

    LarkKit:

"Let's play who's the tallest." She laughed, standing to her full height. She was incredibly skinny but with very long limbs and easily towered a full head over the other kits. She was nearly apprentice height, in fact, even if she hadn't built up the same amount of muscle yet.

    NettleKit:

NettleKit nodded, following obediently after Grasskit. A body... He cursed his luck. He'd never meant for Grasskit to see something so awful, he was hoping she'd hear about some gossip of some kind, maybe a blooming romance or some new kits, not the untimely demise of their leader. Just my luck. Bitterness weighed down his paws as he followed the sound of PetalStorm's worried voice, his tail dragging in the sand behind him.

  • Yeah! Once I get back on my computer I'll send you the base, but I relined it to make it smaller with a pixel tool. Also I use Medibang Paint Pro! Its like Photoshop but its free and its less confusing~. Also when I get back, im gonna write another bio for a loner character im gonna bring in soon if that's alright! ))

    Ghostfeather | Blazestorm

Ghostfeather sprinted after the other tom through the bramble tunnel to go find the two. Where could they have run off to, he wondered? If they weren't at camp... He hoped they weren't taken like Cloudfur was...

He kept to speed with the medicine cat to find the two, keeping an eye out before he spotted the three. "Featherpool! There!" He said, running towards them, but slowing down to a trot. "Where have you two been? What happened?" He asked.

Blazestorm stared at Ghostfeather for a moment, before he spoke. "We... We'll explain when we get back, but she's hurt." He motioned to Snakebelly. "She got caught in a rockslide."

"Snakebelly..." Ghostfeather spoke. He stared at her leg which seemed to be in pretty bad shape and nodded. "Alright. We can bring her back to take care of her leg, but Sunclan should be informed that we have her with us."

Blazestom's fur rose some. "Maybe not yet. Let's discuss it when we get back."

".... Alright." He nodded. "Are you two okay? She's the only one injured?"

"Yeah, we're fine." Blazestorm meowed. "Let's go."

    Shatterstone

Shatterstone eyed her before bowing his head. "Well, yes..." He sighed. "I'm sorry about what happened. Others don't seem to believe that you can be a good warrior with your legs, but.." He sat beside her and flicked his tail over her nose. "I think you're doing fine. We need to work more on being able to put more stress on your legs, but I think your tactic you used today was perfect. You can master that and you'll be excellent at hunting."

He seemed to be rather soft-spoken when talking with her. Not something he did often with others. He found it almost difficult to ever be mad at her. She tries her hardest.

"You work hard. You don't make excuses. Keep up the good work." He added, then stood and moved himself across from her. "Are you ready to go? If you need to take a break, let me know, but I want you to push yourself past your limits."

    Jasperkit | Cougarkit

Jasperkit squeaked in dismay as he tried to stand his tallest. He was at least a little bigger than Cougarkit- and most definitely bigger than Grasskit- who happened to be the runt of their litter. "That's no fair! You're so tall!!" He mewled, even trying to hop a bit to be taller.

Cougarkit puffed out her chest. "Well you may be the tallest, but I'm the strongest!" She exclaimed. "I could take on a warrior no problem!"

    Petalstorm | Grasskit

Petalstorm let out a relieved sigh as she saw the two running to her. She leaned down and licked her daughter, then Nettlekit. "Where were you two?" She asked.

"We were playing... Hide and seek." Grasskit exclaimed, trying to brighten up after seeing such a gruesome sight.

"Well don't run off so far away from the Nursery next time, okay?" She ushered them back in with a paw. "You had me worried."

  • ooc loner character sound great! Also, I wonder when Coffee's gonna get back, missing cloudwhisker :(

    FeatherPool | Stonetuft | SnakeBelly

Featherpool shot Ghostfeather a glance. SnakeBelly... He thought, Could this be to do with the Starclan prophecy? It feels too easy. "We'll fix you up once we're back at camp." He narrowed his eyes, "We'll also have some questions to ask, too."

Stonetuft nodded, "Let's just get back quickly." She mewed. SnakeBelly was leaning heavily against BlazeStorm.

"I'm sorry to put you all out. SpiritStar will be very grateful for this." She said. "These are two very kind warriors, they didn't have to help me but they did." She added, referring to BlazeStorm and Stonetuft. Stonetuft turned her head away, feeling sheepish at being complimented.

    SwirlPaw:

Swirlpaw watched him silently as he spoke, internalising his words and using them as a fuel to keep going, to keep trying. She'd never felt so lucky to have been given ShatterStone as a mentor, and not, for example, Emberpelt. Swirlpaw felt exhausted, but if ever there was a time to be distracted and to charge he'd first into her training, it was now. Shatterstone was right, she could do this. She'd just have to work a little harder than the others. She'd strengthen her legs until they'd work as best they could, and then she'd help her clan until the day she'd die. She gave her head a sharp nod.

"Let's do this." She growled, and darted forward with surprising speed. Pain jerked through her legs, a stiffness that ached with sudden movement, but it was only a case of gritting her teeth and forcing herself onwards. She swatted her sheathed paw at Shatterstone, an obvious move to be easily countered. But, for Swirlpaw, it was one massive leap in the right direction.

    LarkKit:

LarkKit looked down on JasperKit. "The world's not fair. Deal with it." She smirked, giving him a taunting wink. Then, to CougarKit. "What does strength count for...?" She lowered herself towards the ground, her muscles tensed, "When you can't catch anyone...?" She narrowed her eyes challengingly and then, a quick as a bird, she jumped from her spot and bonded out of reach of the two other kits, her long legs streaking across the ground.

    NettleKit:

NettleKit hung his head, "It was my fault, Petalstorm." he admitted as they trotted back into the nursery, LarkKit passing by them, a black blur. NettleKit startled, "Was that LarkKit?" He asked, turning his head to the direction his sister had run. He smirked at GrassKit, "Guess we aren't the only ones who felt cramped in the nursery." He commented, flicking his tail.

  • Yeah I miss them too! I hope that they aren't bothered by all our posts they'd have to catch up on...! :'^0 ))

    Ghostfeather
Ghostfeather nodded. "They really are good warriors." He commented, before he began to lead the way, motioning for Featherpool to follow beside him. Once he was beside the medicine cat, he spoke. "Do you think this has something to do with the prophecy?" He whispered. "It said something about a snake among the pigeons. Maybe it means names? Like Snakebelly..."

    Blazestorm
Blazestorm didn't seem all too phased by the compliment- not overly proud, or even sheepish like Stonetuft was. He supported the deputy with his own weight and went along to follow Ghostfeather and Featherpool. "We're just doing what we do. I would feel awful if I knew I left a cat for dead." He mumbled. "Clan mate or not..." He thought for a moment.

He wondered who she saw? She said it looked like a ghost.... A Starclan cat wouldn't do that, would they? Maybe it was a cat with a light-colored pelt... It all confused him. He wondered if Sunclan wasn't responsible? What if it was rogues?

    Shatterstone
Shatterstone had to admit, he was surprised by her speed, having to think fast as she came at him. He barely dodged the swipe and decided to swipe back at her in return, not holding back anything for her. He wouldn't slow down, he wouldn't be EASY for her like some warriors seemed to think- he treated her as she would any other apprentice. What would she learn if he trained her around her problems?

"That was a nice swipe!" He complimented mid training.

    Jasperkit | Grasskit | Cougarkit
Jasperkit huffed and sat down to watch his sister chase after the other kit, turning his attention to Nettlekit and Grasskit. "Oh! Where did you two go?" He asked.

Grasskit nodded. "Yeah, that was Larkkit." She then turned her attention to Jasperkit. "We went and played hide and seek." She exclaimed.

Cougarkit stopped chasing Larkkit for a moment. "You went away from the Nursery? Did you see what was going on outside?"

Grasskit was silent for a moment before she decided to shake her head. "Nope. There were too many cats to see what was going on." Even as she said this, her fur stood up a bit.

"Oh yeah? Why do you look like you've seen a ghost then?" Cougarkit commented, approaching her sister and Nettlekit.

"I-I don't!" Grasskit sat up straight. She didn't know what else to say- no excuse... nothing. She could only deny it.

"What did you see Grasskit? I wanna know." The bigger kit leaned in. "Tell me." She whispered.

Grasskit looked over to Petalstorm, then leaned in. "I saw Sparrowstar."

"Her dead body?" The other asked curiously. "What did it look like? Was it torn apart? Bloody?"

"Y-Yes. It was really bloody... Not torn apart, but she didn't look right."

  • Previously, on Eclipseclan...

Featherpool, Cloudwhisker and Ghostfeather were visited by a starclan cat in the clearing. Whitepaw, an apprentice who died in the patrol sent to help Sunclan with a rouge attack, warned them of a wolf in sheep's clothing and a snake amongst the pigeons. The three took Sparrowstar's body back to Eclipseclan's camp, after featherpool edited her body to be less gruesome, and realised BlazeStorma nd Stonetuft were missing, and so headed back out to find them.

Meanwhile, BlazeStrom and Stonetuft found Cloudfur's fur leading in a trail towards Sunclan, and then rescued the Sunclan deputy, SnakeBelly, from a rockfall. With a broken leg, SnakeBelly had to be taken back to Eclipseclan's camp as she cannot safely travel back to her own. They encountered Featherpool and Ghostfeather on their way back.

Shatterstone and Swirlpaw are training in the hollow, the kits are playing in the nursery, and ravenwing is walking about the territory, lost in thought. DaisyStem has headed off to mark the moonclan border and Gingerpaw followed him. She noticed him fall into a river and laughed at that.

I think that's it? My rp post coming along soon

  • Ooc: Okay thank you! I'll do my best to make this post fit in with everything else. If I make a few mistakes following the story and what not I'm so sorry! Let me know if I do make an error though lol

    Crimsonpaw:

The young apprentice looked towards the Sunclan border and then looked towards the Moonclan border. She thought that perhaps it would not be best to go towards either clan and that it would probably be better to stay within the territory.
"We should stay away from the borders," Crimsonpaw meowed to Ravenwing. Crimsonpaw's fur bristled a bit. No doubt Featherpool would be mad at her for leaving the camp without his permission and leaving the clan with no cat that knew anything about herbs.

Crimsonpaw shook the thought out of her mind. Ravenwing couldn't be out here alone.

    Cloudwhisker:

Through the events that had followed, the encounter with the Starclan cat and now Cloudwhisker sat in the camp with the leader's body. It had been altered by Featherpool, but Cloudwhisker thought that it made the body look worse. It told every cat that her body without the altercations would be too terrible to look at. Cloudwhisker did not go back out with the others, he decided to stay in the camp in order to keep in safe in case there was an attack. They still did not know who did this and why they did it. Somebody needed to be in camp to watch over things.

    Mossfur:

--Currently laying outside of the warriors den--

    Acornleap:

Acornleap sighed as he watched Gingerpaw dart off into the forest. Acornleap figured that he might as well follow her so she doesn't get hurt. Cloudwhisker wouldn't mind after all. He followed the ginger apprentice into the forest and was surprised when he heard a splash followed by a curse from his brother. The ginger tabby rolled his eyes and trotted up to the stream. He was ready to wade into the cold water if he had to.

"Need some help?" Acornleap asked Daisystem

  • FeatherPool:

The medicine cat nodded. "I was just thinking that... we'll definitely have to keep a close eye on her, and ask her some questions." He glanced over his shoulder, "She's not the only one with a matching name. There is an apprentice called pigeon paw in moonclan, and a warrior called wolf something. I can't remember his full name." Featherpool admitted in embarrassment. "I can barely remember herbs... names are just too much."

    SnakeBelly:

"Still," She insisted, "I know a fair few cats who would've left me." She laughed, "Any moonclan cat, for instance."

    StoneTuft:

Stonetuft glanced over at SnakeBelly talking away and couldn't help a sneer. She forced it away, laying her fur flat, and walked in silence. She was so distracted with this, it took her a second to process what SnakeBelly had said. Either she's lying, She thought, Or we need to have a nice, long chat with her to figure this all out. Something strange is afoot.

    SwirlPaw:

Swirlpaw was thrown back with great force, thwacking down onto the sand. She lay, stunned for a second and then, shocked and overjoyed at her surprising durability, rocketed back onto her feet.

"Thanks!" She gasped, her heart thudding loudly in her ears. She tried another swipe, this time aimed low at his feet. It was a feign, a second swipe was coming for him, aimed high at his head. She'd gotten a bit too excited and focussed on moving her legs and her claws were only half sheathed.

    NettleKit:

NettleKit stood between CougarKit and GrassKit. "Mind your own business." he said sharply, his tail lashing. he fixed cougar kit with his misty, green blind eyes. He knew his stare was very off putting.

  • EmberPelt:

Emberpelt stalked over to Cloudwhisker, hoping to get some answers. "What's with...that." he asked ominously, glancing over at SparrowStar.

    DaisyStem | Gingerpaw

Daisystem shook his head, twitching water droplets of his whiskers. "No... No i'm fine." He clambered out of the water, smelling like weeds, fish and mud. "Starclan, can't wait until I've got a normal smell again, though..." He hissed, licking between his claws to clear his feet. "What are you doing here?" He asked.

"We could ask you the same thing." Gingerpaw announced herself, padding out of her hiding spot. "Why were you over the border?" She hissed, her tail lashing. Daisystem eyed the apprentice.

"Oh, the 'mouse-sized sun rise', Gingerpaw." He dipped his head in greeting. "I thought you'd be back at camp gossiping." Gingerpaw bared her teeth at him, letting out a low hiss.

    RavenWing:

Ravenwing gave a nod. "Agreed." She padded along. "So, what does..." She gestured as some herbs with her tail, "this herb do?" She asked, trying to put her mind off of things."

  • Ooc: I can make another apprentice. I'll add him to my other forms in a little bit.

    Crimsonpaw:

Crimsonpaw was thankful that Ravenwing agreed with her. She took a moment to stop and look at the herbs that Ravenwing had pointed out. They were green and spig like with small leaves. They had a sharp smell to them. If Crimsonpaw remembered correctly, it was the herb thyme.

"I believe that's thyme," Crimsonpaw explained, she was glad that she was able to practice her skills with someone who wasn't Featherpool. Featherpool always got aggravated easily with her. "It... Oh. What does it do? I think it calms anxiety..." Crimsonpaw meowed after thinking for a bit.

    Cloudwhisker:

The grey and white tom blinked and turned his head to face Emberpelt. Cloudwhisker knew very well that he wasn't supposed to talk about what he and Ghostfeather had seen in the clearing, so he'd have to be careful with what he said.

Cloudwhisker shrugged, "Featherpool thought that it would better to have her wounds covered. Make the grieving process easier."

    Mossfur:

--Laying outside of the warriors den--

    Acornleap:

Acornleap took a few steps back and sat on the edge of the stream. He glared over his shoulder at Gingerpaw.

"Both of you stop it," He meowed firmly. "You both are acting like kits! What would Cloudwhisker think if I told him how you were behaving. Gingerpaw?"

Acornleap shook his head then explained to Daisystem, "For whatever reason Gingerpaw wanted to follow you even though I told her not to. I followed her to make sure she didn't get hurt. I knew you'd be fine on your own."
