  • Beastspark

    Warrior - Tom - Apprentice:

    Interacting with: Silentkit, Petalstorm

The Tom felt all the tension melt away when his precious little kit began giggling, she was alright. The immense relief was indescribable, she really had him worry there. His attention was drawn to Petalstorm when she spoke up. He grinned sheepishly at the glancing at Silentkit and then other little rascals in nursery. "If you don't mind watching over when I'm busy that would great." He meowed with an appreciative nod of his head.

"I'm not busy at the moment but it will be nice knowing she has someone to watch over her when I am not around." Beastspark purred, his fluffy tail lazily twitched as he took a moment to relax just a little. "She's the only family I have so I don't know what I do if something did happen to her." He added, feeling like his needed to justify his overwhelming concern for daughter. It was perhaps a little pitiful to make his daughter his whole world, but he did. The Tom strived to make her life better then his was, hopefully now that they had a clan things would turn out differently for her.

He couldn't help but watch Cougarkit as the small one darted about. "You seem like you have your paws full. If you ever need any help watching them I'd be happy to help." He told Petalstorm with a charming smile. Beastspark had a deep love of kits one he had realized until Silentkit came into his life. Even though most kits were rather intimidated by his sheer size and appearance, once they got to know him it wasn't hard to tell that Beastspark was a true kit at heart.

    Sunrose ♚

    Loner - Molly - Apprentice:

    Interacting with: Fawnpaw, Tigerpaw

The she cat made a plan in how far they'd be traveling today. She hoped they were heading in the right direction, her intuition said they were moving in the right direction, but then again intuition didn't make the world go round nor put food into bellies. The cream furred feline turned her head away from the scenery when she heard her kits shuffling around. She caught Tigerpaw once again being mean but didn't bother saying anything about it. She prayed to starclan that Fawnpaw would grow a backbone, Sunrose wasn't going to be around forever. As she watched her daughter moving almost as if she were out of it at first she assumed she was just sleepy. The mother parted her maw to remind her to get up and moving but then she noticed the crimson colored stains near the she-cat's maw Was she bleeding? In one swift motion she hurried to her kits side and sniffed her head to toe. Fawnkit felt warm an drew smelt off....sickly. She looked off more so then normal.

"Fawnpaw, what's wrong?" Her voice took on a worried edge while trying to see if she could get the apprentice to open her maw. "Did you eat something? Tigerpaw, did you watch her while I was away? Did she eat something?" She questioned her eldest with a concerned look in her eyes. Sunrose might love and favor Tigerpaw a little more, but that did not mean she wanted Fawnpaw gone.

"Hmmm, just some berries she's making all that noise in her sleep and Skysong had said something about giving cats red berries it would make them go to sleep." Tigerpaw mutter nonchalantly. Skysong was the med. cat apprentice in their former clan.

"No, no, no, no, no!!!! Why did you do that!? What did you do?!!!!" The she-cat wheeled around to glare at her son with fangs bared and claws unsheathed. She did not care for the way her son jump away in fright. "You fed her death berries, the red ones don't just put her to sleep they make her sleep forever. Do you want her to leave us like your father!!!!!!!" The queen was half hysterical as she turned back to her daughter. What to do what to do?

"Don't lose me we need find a med. cat or someone." She meowed, dipping her head and grabbing Fawnpaw by the scruff. There had had to be someone here. She didn't look over her shoulder as she bounced off deeper into the land with Tigerpaw running to catch up.

    Hawkpaw

    Apprentice - Tom - Mentor: ---

    Interacting with: Elfinpaw, Lunafrost, Wintershadow

The tom blinked his eyes a pawful of times as he heard the smaller cat's comment. He tipped his head and frown as he listened to her words. He found them straightforward yet irritating at the same time. He fought the urge to cuff her over the head while admiring her for her words. In the end he left it alone and sniffed around for a rabbit to eat. The meat tasted good and he didn't mind the texture. His eyes flickered over selection with an unhappy expression. No rabbit. Perhaps he wasn't as hungry as he thought he'd catch his own meal. With a soft growl the huffy apprentice leaves the food pile behind although pauses while looking at the blind feline. "If you have nothing better to do you can come hunting with me. I need to go complain to our all know leader about patrols. I believe, I need to catch something worth eating as well." He meowed passing Elfinpaw.

He was not being nice in the slightest, if she was being lazy she might as well as help. He padded off to go sniff out Ghoststar. He was well aware of the craziness going on around the clan, but that didn't mean every day to day life needed to be abdonded. What about their borders? He paused in his search when he spotted a cat of interest, along side a mountainous Tom. "Lunafrost, Wintershadow?" He called, padding over to them. "I'm bored and I've heard of no patrols called, can one of you lead one so I can leave?" He asked, not too rudely but not nicely either.

  • NettleKit | LarkKit

NettleKit gave a nod, then, 'Listen... it's just, I'm worried that any game tailored to me gives me an unfair advantage. Maybe I should just sit by and spectate?' He offered, shifting his paws uncomfortably.

LarkKit let out a growl of frustration. 'So not fair!' She hissed in anger, setting off after Cougarkit as fast as she could and making a furious leap at her, claws unsheathed in her rage.

NettleKit, who'd been talking to JasperKit and GrassKit, heard his sisters tell tale tantrum and his face snapped in the direction of the sound. 'Oh no...' He muttered, sensing LarkKit would put her paw in it again.

    FeatherPool

Looking away before he spoke, FeatherPool shifted uncomfortably. 'Uh... not exactly.' He looked back at GhostStar, 'I had nothing against her before the Red Dawn. It was... amicable. I didn't like how harsh she could be, or how little she listened to others advice but, she was trying her best.' His eyes became dark, looking out into the forest as they moved along, 'But then-' FeatherPool's voice cut off. After losing his parents, then KinkedFur so early in his training, the loss of DustHeart had been one blow struck too many. He took a shaky breath.

'He didn't come back, GhostStar. He was meant to come home to me. We were meant to become elders together, bickering from sunrise until sunset.' FeatherPool's fur rose instinctually. Gritting his teeth in a frustrated snarl FeatherPool squeezed his eyes shut and shook his head from side to side. 'Sorry. Sorry. You've got enough on your plate.' He cleared his throat, getting a grip on himself once more. 'I know it wasn't her fault. We had to help SunClan. But after that day, she and I never seemed the same again.' He looked at GhostStar, 'I won't make that mistake again. I understand now the pressure of leadership. A few days of it tore me apart. I'm here to help you, GhostStar. Unconditionally.'

    StoneTuft

Stonetuft gave a flick of her stumpy tail, 'I am a large cat, it's no secret.' She cat she may be, but StoneTuft was very solidly built, and quite large. She dwarfed most other she-cats and competed decently height wise with even the larger toms of the clans. 'But... you're right, it is odd.' StoneTuft suppressed a shiver, 'If he's gonna put me off stoats forever I'll be so mad.' She growled. 'But, let's say we're right. How do we confirm it? How do we prove it to Sparrow-' StoneTuft cut herself off, then, more quietly, 'GhostStar? neither he nor FeatherPool are here right now, and Cloudwhisker is no where in sight. Who do we tell? What do we do?'

    RavenWing

'Thank you, SplashWhisper.' RavenWing mewed before the she-cat left, settling down and enjoying her bird. She glanced up after taking her final bite as a cat approached her.

'We need to talk.' He said, swishing his tail. 'About you're mate. About CloudFur.'

RavenWing, perplexed, got up and followed her Clan mate out of camp, trusting PetalStorm to watch her kits while she was gone.

  • Ooc

I know - no other cats know she's there though and have no reason to go into moonclan to search for her there so it may be a while before shes found or you could have her limp to the border and an eclipseclan patrol could find her there?

  • ooc Okay sure. Also, apprentice wise I have updated the cats of the clans list, it should be there

Apple tooth was hunting a rabbit, racing after it across the moore, when he noticed a cat in a tree. He caught the rabbit, tripping over himself in the process, but holding onto his prey regardless, then looked up the tree at the cat, putting the dead rabbit on the floor.

'Trespassing again?' He asked in frustration, 'Get down from there.'

  • Rosepaw looks down the tree and so Apple tooth she blushes but says" what I did not mean to I need to get back... Well I actually don't know where I belong." she felt said and came down with blood dripping from her back leg.

  • Lunafrost & Wintershadow

    Warrior / Molly [♀] / Apprentice:- || Warrior / Tom / Apprentice:-

The warrior had lost her more graceful and watchful stance and gave into the urge to relax and settle down. She was resting on her right side, all four paws sprawled out in front of her and her head rested on her shoulder. But the problem was that even laying down was doing very little, her limbs felt like the muscles had been taken out and replaced with over-stretched elastic bands. She found her paws stretching themselves out and her claws peeking out only to stab at the earth unforgivingly as her back legs worked on helping her stand on all four. She would be lying if said that a mixture of worry and restlessness hadn't taken root within her mind. She did her best to expel both of them, but was having a hard time doing so.

The she cat seat herself on her bottom once again and curled her twitchy tail around the front paws. Lunafrost knew she wasn't the easiest cat to get a long with, she was blunt with her words, and often had this slight air of bitter, icy, calmness surrounding her. She didn't talk much and often avoid any type of small talk, she didn't have any friends or cats she could consider friends the close she had to a friend was the white brute nearby, she had clanmates nothing more and she did what she could for them. She came off as to cold and distant for any mate, and she had no kin within this clan so she isolated her a lot. She had no apprentice and the lack of anything to do was starting to get to her.

Her ears perked up with interest as the alluring feline turn her eyes in the direction of the apprentice that walked up. Wintershadow also rose to stand towering over most if not all the cats in the camp. The pair listened to Hawkpaw's request with open ears.

"I think a hunting patrol already left, but I am not sure about a border patrol. I don't think Cloudwhisker called patrols this morning." Lunafrost answered in a serene yet commanding tone. "I'm sure no one will mind if a quick border patrol is taken out. She glanced at the elder warrior for confirmation.

"I don't mind leading one, but we'll need more cats. The puny apprentices aren't going to be much." Wintershadow stated bluntly. "And don't they have mentors? Why am I kitsitting?"

    Fawnpaw

    Apprentice / Molly [♀] / Mentor:-

So loud! So loud! Fawnpaw's hurtled themselves backwards when she heard her mother voice rising in volume. Why was she being so loud? Maybe Tigerpaw got his pelt dirty again? She couldn't think properly everything was fuzzy and off kilter. The brown loner curled herself tighter into a ball trying desperately to block out the rest of the world. She just needed some sleep, that was all, she'd feel better later. The apprentice parted her maw while taking in a shaky breath of air, even breathing hurt.

If she could just fall to sleep and drown in nothingness then there would be no pain, right? Fawnpaw was jarred out of her near slumber when the teeth wrapped around her scruff and the ground was no longer underneath her. She nearly let out a caterwaul at being hauled up so abruptly, but grit her teeth instead. "Sunrose, it hurts." She whimpered, knowing Tigerpaw would never pick her up even if their lives depended on it. She has no idea why she was being carried nor where they were going just knew that it hurt.

  • Appletooth looked unimpressed 'limp back to eclipseclan if you have to. You've no place here, Rosepaw, and if I catch you here again here will be trouble.' he added menacingly

  • Rosepaw looks at Apple tooth and says" what but fine." She did not know how to tell the tom about her flashback of his leader and deputy when she was a kit. She started to head back to her somewhat clan but left a squirrel for him.

  • If anyone has kitties who need interactions, history and/or relationships please look at my kitties and plot ! :D

please look at each characters "other" :D

  • Psst if you’re accepted I would totally be down to maybe get something situated with Dappledleaf and Ghoststar :^)))) )

    Jasperkit | Grasskit | Cougarkit | Petalstorm

Jasperkit shook his head quickly. “No! I think it was a lot of fun to play with you!!” He exclaimed. “Maybe we both could go after you then?” He suggested. “Then I won’t always catch Grasskit, and Grasskit won’t always catch me!” He sat down, looking up at the blind kit.

Grasskit seemed to agree with this idea, nodding her head. “Yeah! Then you can have as much fun too.” She beamed up at Nettlekit. What a sweet couple of kits.

Cougarkit squeaked and quickly scrambled to get away from her. She skidded across the nursery and turned to face the bigger kit, her small tail lashing to the side in slight anxiety. “What was that?!” She mewed a bit irritably herself, dropping the feather and placing her paw firmly over it. “No claws!” She huffed.

Jasperkit and Grasskit turned their attention to the commotion when Nettlekit had, watching their sister hurry across the nursery and have her own small fit. What happened?

Petalstorm nodded her head. “No worries- I understand completely. My mate isn’t with me anymore either.” She simply said. Her mate was a loner- like she once was herself. She was brought in when she was pregnant and had resided in the nursery since then-- which wasn’t all too long ago, actually. She was at least glad the clan seemed to warm up to her quickly, despite her outside life before. She shifted her glance to her own kits for a moment before she turned her eyes back up to Beastspark. “If you ever want to talk about it, I entirely understand.” She added.

The she-cat quickly turned her attention to the commotion of the kits, her whiskers twitching. “Don’t rough play so much.” She lightly scolded. “I don’t need anyone getting hurt. Featherpool has enough to deal with right now.”

    Ghostfeather

Ghostfeather eyed his friend with a sparkle of empathy in his blue eyes. “Don’t worry, Featherpool. I’m always here to talk about it if you like. I lost my parents in that battle as well. I understand.” He muttered, brushing his pelt against the others comfortingly. “But thank you-- I am grateful to have a friend like you.” He purred. Honestly-- even with Kinkedfur’s early death, Featherpool was able to pull through as a helpful medicine cat-- he had probably exhausted how much he appreciated the medicine cat, but he sincerely did.

    Blazestorm

Blazestorm thought on it. She was right-- they had nobody in authority to tell. He took a moment before he stood. “We’ll go look for Cloudwhisker.” He said. “Our best bets are to find him and tell him, then we’ll see what we can do from there. I’d suggest you go to Featherpool once they get back.”

Blazestorm was worried for her--. Simply because he was convinced something was off about that stoat that Daisystem KNEW about. And if that was the case- who knows how poisonous it was. He wasn’t about to let his friend die off because they were uncovering someone’s secret. He’d do everything in his power to make sure she made it through- whatever was done to her and WHOEVER did it.

  • ooc Hello flower petal and welcome! I'm so glad you're joining us :) I'll make a quick catch up list for you, here we go!

    1. Many moons ago the previous leader, SparrowStar, sent a patrol to help Sunclan deal with a rouge attack. DustHeart, Whitepaw, and many other cats died in this raid. DustHeart was FeatherPool's mate and the brother of DaisyStem. DaisyStem didn't want SparrowStar to send the patrol and fiercely protested against it but was ignored. He holds the previous leader responsible for his brother's death. Featherpool, whilst feeling angry at SparrowStar, knows it wasn't her fault. But the death of his mate, so soon after his parents perished, his medicine cat mentor perish (before his proper training had finished) and his sister became distant from him, all made him incredibly insecure, worrisome and lonely. Whitepaw was the daughter of RavenWing and Cloudfur. Neither of which seem to blame Sparrowstar for her death, though Cloudfur did protest the patrol when Sparrowstar ordered it he didn't bring it up again afterwards.

    2. Recently, SparrowStar's body was found, dead. She'd had all nine lives slowly taken from her and CloudFur, who'd been with her, was missing, presumed dead. It appeared to be a fox attack but further investigation by StoneTuft, FeatherPool's sister, and BlazeStorm, revealed something fishy afoot. (Only cats to know the gruesome details of SparrowStar's death are FeatherPool, GhostStar, StoneTuft and BlazeStorm.) StoneTuft and BlazeStorm have reason to believe MoonClan were behind the murder of SparrowStar and that there is a spy amongst them.

As for mates, could FeatherPool develop a crush on WhisperStrike? And could TallShadow be DaisyStem's sister? Also making her DustHeart's sister.

Other stuff has been going on but it isn't necessary for RolePlay. Feel free to jump in and talk to whoever you like :)

and that's what you missed on glee EclipseClan!

(My rp post to follow shortly :) )

  • NettleKit

NettleKit shook his head disapprovingly. 'Sorry about my sister. She can be... annoying.' He murmured, baring his fangs in distaste. Then, turning his attention back to them he thought on their suggestion. 'Okay... that does sound more fair.' He nodded, satisfied, 'Good plan. Now let's execute it!' He darted as silently as he could away from them, crouching low to the ground and listening closely.

    LarkKit

LarkKit scoffed, 'Who ever got that hurt with a little claws involved? It's not like I was going to use 'em. They just popped out, it's not a big deal.' At PetalStorm's words LarkKit nodded respectfully, then, once the queen was turned away again.

'FeatherPool's weird, like I'd want him to treat me anyway.' She sniffed, then. 'I'm gonna go find someone to play with who isn't such a wimp.' LarkKit spun around and sauntered out of the nursery, her long limbs easily carrying her to the other side of camp, and towards her target; Gingerpaw. NettleKit, who was concentrating on his game, spared a few seconds focus to blinding glare after the noise of his sister's feet.

    FeatherPool

FeatherPool nodded, looking genuinely touched, and was about to respond when he felt the soft ground of the forest beneath his feet turn to rock. He looked ahead of them, he gaze narrowing. It had taken a while, but they were finally here.

'That's it.' FeatherPool mewed, nodding towards the gaping crack in the side of the red rock cliff. 'The MoonCave.' He went forward a few paces, paused to check GhostStar was still with him, then ducked inside. The path was wide and sloped downwards slightly. it didn't take long for all the light to vanish. Then, as the cave opened out, standing in the centre was a great oak tree. Its roots stretched out across the floor, beds of leaves and moss made little beds that cats had slept on for many moons. The roots themselves seemed to glow with bright green and blue lines that flowed up and down them. Into the ground and then back up into the tree and its bare branches. FeatherPool gestured with his long furred grey tail, 'Find somewhere and get comfortable. This can take a while sometimes.'

    StoneTuft

'Good Plan. CloudWhisker and CrimsonPaw went on a herb collecting excursion earlier today, if I remember correctly. By the stream. We should pick up their scent if we head there.' At his recommendation that she see FeatherPool, StoneTuft couldn't help wincing. 'Yeah... sure...' She murmured. She would go and talk to him, of course, it just... would be the first time they'd have properly spoken in a while. She wasn't sure what to make of that. She wasn't sure how she'd handle it.

'Okay, let's go.' She said, getting swiftly to her feet, then dealing with a head rush. 'No time like the present, right?' She asked, twitching her whiskers in amusement at BlazeStorm before setting off. It wasn't long before she picked up the scent, and from there it wasn't long before she and BlazeStorm began to notice the smell of blood, too. 'Oh starclan...' She whispered, crouching down and progressing far more slowly and carefully. 'This could be bad, BlazeStorm.'

  • Jasperkit | Grasskit | Cougarkit | Petalstorm

Jasperkit and Grasskit watched Larkkit leave the nursery, then to their sister who was fuming. It seemed like Cougarkit wasn't going to just take that notion though. As they all knew-- Cougarkit was rather headstrong herself. Sometimes a little more than she should be.

Cougarkit let out a small growl of annoyance before she ran out of the nursery after her. "Hey! Wait! I wasn't finished with you!" She hissed.

Jasperkit seemed a bit worried, but instead returned to their game. Their mom would take care of it, surely. Both the smaller kits closed their eyes so they were now blinded to whatever was in front of them. They called out every once in a while to get the location of Nettlekit-- and even a couple times got close to catching him! It seemed the two kits were having much more fun with this idea than the previous one.

Petalstorm watched Larkkit leave the nursery, then Cougarkit. She let out a gentle sigh, looking to Silentkit pressed to her side for a moment before she eyed Beastspark again. "I'm sorry-- Could you perhaps watch over the kits in here for a short moment? I should make sure those two don't get themselves into any serious trouble.." She mewed. She gave Silentkit a swift lick to the top of her head before she carefully stood up. She wasn't a very big she-cat, with shorter legs than normal she usually was much smaller than a lot of other cats. Sometimes it was hard to believe that she's been a warrior for quite some time now.

She gently brushed against the tom in a comforting manner regarding his lost mate as she exited. "Thank you so much. I'll be back." She mewed as she squeezed out of the nursery to keep an eye on the two troublemakers.

Cougarkit, in the meantime, skidded in front of Larkkit with a certain fire in her eyes. "Don't walk off on me calling me a wimp!" She hissed. "No claws are allowed and you know that!" She tried to stand straight to match the others height, but that wasn't exactly easy, considering her size. "If you won't play fair, then I won't either. We'll see who's the wimp then."

    Ghostfeather

Ghostfeather eyed the interior of the cave in awe. He'd never been here before now--. He listened to Featherpool and nodded, stepping forwards towards the large tree and finding a spot comfortable for him. He ended up laying himself down in a bigger moss bed towards the left side of the tree. With his larger size, it was difficult for him to possibly fit in any of the smaller nests comfortably. He eyed the glowing roots carefully as he rested his head down on his paws. He had no idea what was about to happen, but he drifted into a sleep at the roots of the tree regardless, allowing his dreams to take over as he would be given his nine lives from Starclan.

    Blazestorm

Blazestorm nodded and followed after her. She didn't seem all too comfortable to go see Featherpool--- if she had wanted, maybe he would stick with her... That is, if she wanted. He wasn't by any means her mate or something. Though he was growing a close friendship with her all the same. He was worried for her- more than he worried for any other cat, anyways.

Regardless, he continued to sniff out for the apprentice and deputy. As they got near, their scent got stronger, twisted with the iron stench of blood. He felt a hitch in his throat as he sniffed along, listening to her, but not lifting his head until the smell got unbearable. He lifted his eyes to where he was and felt his heart sink. He stood straight and took a step back. "... Stonetuft--" He muttered, staring at their bloodied bodies, before he snapped his head to the she-cat. "Stonetuft. Crimsonpaw and Cloudwhisker are dead." He mewed. He kept calm, but he felt panic begin to rise up in his chest. This was the second deputy dead. So early on too--. ".... we should bring them back to camp..."

  • NettleKit

Nettlekit tried to dart to his left but he was too slow, and had misjudged JasperKit's location. The other kit easily caught him and NettleKit, for the first time he could remember, felt a laugh bubble up his throat. 'Nice job, JasperKit!' He mewed happily, flexing his claws in and out of the ground. 'This was a great idea!' He paused, his stomach grumbling. 'Ahem... uh, excuse the interruption but I think I'll go take a look at what's on the fresh kill pile.'

    LarkKit

Something Flashed in LarkKit's eyes, a spark of righteousness? Respect? Surprise? It was hard to tell. Within a second of it the she-kit had lurched towards CougarKit, tussling with the smaller cat, trying to pin her to the ground. She wasn't being so rough as to indicate genuine anger, but there was a fierce determination behind her claws - it wasn't merely a play fight anymore.

    GhostStar's Vision

A brown tom whose fur was kinked and messy, and eyes were a deep brown to match, appeared at the foot on the tree. As his form faded in and out of existence, the tree, the roots, and the MoonCave began to vanish around them, replaced by an expanse of stars. Eight cats were revealed to be standing around GhostStar. The brown tom looked at GhostStar silently.

The first cat to approach GhostStar was SparrowStar, the previous leader. The brown and white she-cat padded over to him, her long tail flicking, her green eyes watching. 'Do what is right, have confidence in your decision, no matter what other's say.' She leant towards him and touched her nose to his. (I have three other cats after SparrowStar to give GhostStar his lives. Besides them you can chose who you want to give them to him.)

    StoneTuft

StoneTuft nodded numbly, then, shaking herself back to focus. 'I'll take CloudWhisker.' She said. She was sure BlazeStorm was strong, but she was even surer of her own strength. She gingerly gripped the deputies scruff and hauling him onto her broad shoulders, carrying him carefully back towards camp.

'Who could have done this?' She asked in disbelief. 'Oh starclan... FeatherPool...' She breathed, 'He'll have no one now. Not even his apprentice.' StoneTuft supposed he had been talking with GhostStar recently, but that was through necessity, she couldn't imagine FeatherPool making friends easily.

  • Jasperkit | Grasskit

Both kits laughed after Jasperkit caught him, the male kit puffing out his chest proudly before he quickly lost his proud stance to instead jump around Nettlekit. "Woah! Can we come with? Please?" He asked. "I've never been to the fresh-kill pile!" He exclaimed, looking up at Nettlekit with hope.

It seemed Grasskit was in on this too, standing beside her brother with a convincing sparkle in her eyes. "Please?" They were acting as if he was a grown warrior that they had to convince-- but all the same, Nettlekit and Larkkit were much bigger than them and were definitely going to be apprentices-- warriors, before them.

    Cougarkit | Smokeshade | Petalstorm

Cougarkit yelped as she tackled her and pinned her easily. She was much smaller, but she had the energy and speed to try and match her. She wasn't sure what she was supposed to do in the event of being pinned, so she began to thrash under the other kit, and kicking under her belly until she was able to break herself free and scramble up from under her. She then swiftly turned and leapt for her, trying to attach herself to her back.

That was, until a warrior came in and picked Cougarkit up off of Larkkit and set her down on the ground. The large gray and white tom towered over the kits, his jade green eyes staring down at them sharply. "Keep your fighting in the nursery." He grumbled to them. "I don't want to have to step over your tussling." He growled to them. "You're causing a commotion."

As he said this, Petalstorm had quickly joined in. "Thank you Smokeshade--" She told him in an apologetic manner. "You two should head back near the nursery." She looked between the two. "And don't play so rough. I don't want you getting hurt." She gave her own kit a couple of swift licks to her ruffled fur, much to Cougarkit's protest, and even gave Larkkit the same treatment. "I don't want you getting in trouble with Ravenwing, afterall." She mused.

Smokeshade grumbled, sitting down. "A warrior never fights with their claws unsheathed with another clan mate." He told them. "You only use claws if you HAVE to, unless you want an injury like mine." He added, giving them both a stern look. He said this because- well, that was how he lost his ear. A fight with a fellow warrior in Moonclan had ripped off a chunk of his left ear, leaving nothing but what remained and gnarly scarring around it. He could barely hear from that ear anymore, but since moons had passed, he learned to deal with it.

Cougarkit averted her gaze from the larger warrior, sticking more beside her mother now. She would admit- Smokeshade scared her. She heard horrible stories about Moonclan, and considering he was once a warrior from Moonclan-- well, her little kit mind saw him as some merciless monster that would attack them at any moment. "I-I'm sorry!" She squeaked to him. Smokeshade nodded his head. "That goes to you too." He turned his gaze to Larkkit. "Do you understand?"

    Ghoststar

Ghostfeather-- star watched the previous leader give him his life and bowed his head to her silently. Next to step up was a silver marbled tabby with long fur by the name of Pebbledream. Her green eyes stared at the tom proudly. Ghoststar felt a pit in his stomach as he straightened up more than he had before for his mother. The she-cat seemed amused by his extra effort to impress her. The pretty she-cat touched her nose to her son's head. "With this life, I give you courage. Use it well to understand your clan through rough times." She mewed, giving Ghoststar a swift lick to his head before backing off. The next was his other parent, Palefang. A white tom with a black tip to his tail. He stepped forward towards his son proudly and touched his son's head with his nose as well. "With this life, I give you bravery. Use it well in defending your clan." He hadn't said or done any more, only stepping back and returning next to his mate.

Next was a smaller cat- an apprentice named Spotpaw. Her fur was all black with a white patch covering just about half her face and her whole right ear. Ghoststar stared at her sadly and lowered his head for the small apprentice. "Hey! I think it's really cool you're a leader now!" She whispered to him as she rested her nose on his head. She cleared her throat and spoke a little louder. "With this life, I give you curiosity! Use it well to uncover untold secrets for your clans sake!" She exclaimed happily. She rubbed against him briefly before she ran back to where the other Starclan cats were. He was at least glad that his family was giving him three of his lives.

Next to step up was a cream-colored cat. Ghoststar recognized her as one of the elders when he was younger-- but now, she was looking better than ever. Honeyripple approached the leader and had done the same as the others, and spoke. "With this life, I give your forgiveness. Use it well to show mercy even when they've wronged you." She spoke softly before backing away. Once she had backed off, another, a male, stepped up. He was large and gruff, but seemed gentle surprisingly. "With this life I give you Confidence. Use it well to make the right decisions for your clan." Afterwards, Sootbriar backed away.

    Blazestorm

Blazestorm nodded to her, carefully picking up the apprentice by her scruff. She was smaller, so he was able to just carry her as such, following along with Stonetuft. "I'm not sure." He mewed through the dead apprentices scruff. "... But this is going to be difficult for Ghoststar and Featherpool to come back to... Ghoststar only just appointed Cloudwhisker as deputy." He muttered. "He shook his head. "Whoever's doing this is sick. Nobody should be killing for fun. Especially an apprentice." He growled. He hated that this was all happening, but they had no way of stopping it until they knew who was doing it. So far, they really had... nothing. Except possible suspicions for Daisystem. "Do you suppose Daisystem possibly left camp after them at any point? Did you see him leave? Or anyone following them?"

  • NettleKit

NettleKit blinked. 'I'm not clan leader. You can do what you like.' He mewed, setting of for the fresh kill pile, expecting the two smaller kits to follow him.

His nose led him reliably to the food and he selected a small mouse, figuring if the other two wanted to share it would make the perfect size to feed the lot of them. He couldn't help over hearing his sister picking a fight with not just CourgarKit anymore, but PetalStorm and another warrior, too. He narrowed his eyes in frustration and took an angry bite of his food, his sister's behaviour souring his mood.

    LarkKit | GingerPaw | SwirlPaw

CourgarKit successfully latched onto LarkKit's back, who let out a yowl of surprise and then tried to roll onto her back to pin the other kit beneath her. But the weight lifted from her back without prompting and she looked around in confusion.

"Keep your fighting in the nursery. I don't want to have to step over your tussling. Your causing a commotion.' SmokeShade said.

Petal Storm joined them, and also reprimanded their behaviour. LarkKit couldn't help flare of indignation.

'Don't tell me what my own mother would think!' LarkKit couldn't help retorting, 'She's not here. Someone who isn't here can't tell you what they think!' She added, her thoughts sliding to her father, CloudFur. Then, at SmokeShade's comment,

'That goes to you too.' SmokeShade said, 'Do you understand?'

LarkKit felt her anger growing beyond control. She fixed her lilac eyes on him, 'I'm too quick, I'd never let such an ugly injury befall me. What you need to understand is that this is none of your business! You're not even EclipseClan, you're a filthy MoonClanner! You have no place here, none! SunClan and MoonClan are constantly dragging us down, getting our brothers and sisters and parents killed, you have no right to be here, and no right to tell me what I can and can't do!' LarkKit spat at the ground by SmokeShade's feet, unaware someone else had overheard her comments.

An orange blur slammed into LarkKit. Though GingerPaw was an apprentice and LarkKit not, they were about the same sized and shared the same long limbed height. It didn't matter, though, training had toned GingerPaw's muscles and LarkKit could only squirm beneath Gingerpaw's sheathed claws as she pinned the black cat to the ground. GingerPaw's fiery tail lashed back and forth. LarkKit looked defiantly up at the apprentice. 'What?' She hissed. GingerPaw was silent, as what she'd planned on saying, which had been a defence of other planner's ending up in eclipseclan, faded. It could give her away. Instead, she settled on something else, her blue eyes not leaving LarkKit's purple.

'You're lucky there are other cats around.' She hissed, baring her teeth. LarkKit went silent at that.

'GingerPaw!' Swirlpaw squeaked as she, MaskPaw and ShatterStone re-entered camp, the decorative feather in her mouth falling to the floor, 'What are you doing?'

    GhostStar's vision

A small white she-cat with dazzling green eyes stepped forwards towards GhostStar. It was WhitePaw, CloudFur and RavenWing's deceased daughter.

'With this life I give you truth. It is a gift few receive from us. Use it well.' She touched her nose to GhostStar. Almost at once the leader was transported to a vast open more. On the floor at his feet, amongst the harmless grass, was something different. The stem of a flower. It swayed as the grass did, from side to side, almost indistinguishable from it. However, it was clear a flower bud used to sit atop it, and it wasn't a blade of grass after all.

Looking up the clouds in the sky seemed to have taken on an odd shape. Four legged creatures floated across the horizon and past the sun. They looked like sheep, perhaps. But one of them was different, one of them, though of a similar size and appearance, had a menacing haze of light around it. As the cloud moved towards another of the clouds it's mouth opened and sharp teeth began to creep out of its jaws and towards the unsuspecting sheep.

WhitePaw's voice echoed in GhostStar's head. 'Beware the Wolf in Sheep's clothing. Beware the Snake amongst the Pigeons.'

GhostStar was back in the expanse of stars, WhitePaw stepping away from him. 'That was so much fun!' She squeaked, giving a little jump, 'I hope I get to do that again!' Then, stuttered, 'Not that i'm wishing you die, or anything, it's just-'

'WhitePaw.' The brown, kinked fur tom ushered her away and the cat disappeared back into the starlight. The only two remaining where GhostStar and the brown tom.

Only now did GhostStar recognise him as Kinkedfur.

'Tell him I'm sorry.' KinkedFur sighed, 'I left him when he had no one else. I left him unprepared for his duties.' The stars surrounding them began to wink out one by one, darkness filling the space. KinkedFur took a pace towards GhostStar, 'With this life, with your final life, I give you solitude. Give it the respect it deserves. Fear it. Fight it. And tell him... tell him...' KinkedFur pressed his nose to GhostStar's temple before he had a chance to ask any questions. A feeling a harsh pain and isolation tore through GhostStar. Among the pain, as the leader began to return to the waking world, he heard KinkedFur's voice one last time. 'Tell him he must remember...'

    FeatherPool was crouched by GhostStar,

'Are you okay?' He asked, eyes wide, 'That did not look entirely pleasant, I have to admit.' He added, twitching his whiskers in amusement. 'Not to rush you right after direct contact with our ancestors or anything but... I had an omen whilst you were asleep - all the lights on the tree roots shot out in unison. We need to hurry back to camp - something must have happened.'

    StoneTuft

StoneTuft shook her head, 'He was still in camp when we left. Though I don't know what he did this morning, I haven't been keeping tabs on him.' She frowned as they neared camp, 'Without a medicine cat apprentice...' She sighed, 'Someone seems to be hitting us where it hurts the most. You're right, it is sick. Who would kill cats like this?' she lashed her stubby tail, her blue eyes narrowing. 'When I find out who did this...' she added, baring her teeth. She began to pick up the scents of Swirlpaw, MaskPaw and ShatterStone as they reached the camp entrance. She gently pushed CloudWhisker off of her shoulder and pulled him into the clearing through the briar tunnel. Some commotion was going on in the clearing. Whatever it was, it would soon be eclipsed by her and BlazeStorm's discovery.
