*when the others had left
Mario was back at base, talking to a Toad that was there, when suddenly he saw what looked like an ocean of Koopas heading right for their base. The Koopas has gone the long way around, tricking Luigi, Sonic and everyone else into going the wrong direction so they could invade
“Everyone stand back I got this!” Mario went Ultra form (the white dragon thing)
*with Sonic and the others
“Hmm... that’s weird I don’t see any Koopas do you Sonic?” Tails asked
"No." Sonic shook his head "And i've dashed up and down from the highest point to scout multiple times."
Sonic suddenly felt his pager vibrating like crazy as Amarion sent him a message
"What on mobius...?" He clicked it. "Mario?"
“G-guys! There’s so many of them! I can’t-!” The message was suddenly cut off and all he could hear was static
Bump
"Oh chaos...!" Sonic sweatdropped "We have to go help him...!"
By the time they get back, they see Mario in Ultra form and Mega dragon Bowser having an air battle, but it was clear Mario was exhausted
Bowser goes at Mario, biting down on his neck and then flying downward so that they crashed into the ground. Mario was now out of Ultra form, unconscious and Bowser laughed
"No way...!"
“Mario!” Luigi races over to him
*Sonic ran over as well, intent on helping Luigi
“He’s out cold... what do we do?”
"We get Mario out of here..."
“Right.” Luigi picked up his brother and ran out of the area, with the others distracting Bowser for them
*Sonic quickly followed them
In the waiting room at the medical center
“I... I just hope he’s ok...”
"Yea, I hope so too..."
“A couple hours later
The doctor came out “I have good news and bad news”
"Start with the bad news, I guess...?"
