Poe was smiling today. If one bothered to go out to the edge of the hollow they were staying in, they could see the ground. Actual, solid, ground beneath the tree. Poe had almost laughed out loud when he had seen it this morning. A quick trek down the branches to the forest floor had told him that the ground was wet and mucky and gross, but it was solid. Maybe another day or two and they could return to their homes and try and salvage what was left from the storms and floods. The treehouses had to be in shambles; perhaps a Clan-wide (and ally?) work day was in order to get their territory back in shape.

Poe shook his head to clear his thoughts an began to address the Clan. "Hey HawkClan, gather for a meeting!" Yavin flapped down from the branch above to perch on Poe's back, cawing as he typically did. Poe grinned and began. "Alright, we didn't have any joiners this week, but that's okay! It would have been hard for us to greet them anyways." He gave a good-natured laugh. His stress was lessening, he had found, ever since this morning. "However, I want everyone to still be as welcoming as they can."

"If you bothered to look outside today, you might have noticed we can see all the way to the ground. This is awesome! It looks like the flooding is over. However, I still want everyone to be careful. I checked earlier, and the ground is a little unstable, and there's all kind of debris everywhere. Be safe, and please let me or Belladonna know if you plan on going to the ground. In a day or two we should be able to officially move out of this hollow and get back to being ground-dwellers rather than tree-dwellers." How ironic that HawkClan would have to become hawks for a few weeks. "I'm thinking perhaps we could also have a clean-up day? The debris won't move itself, and we can make it into a fun day with socializing and working together. Maybe invite an ally or two. Does that sound fun? Soon, we'll be back to normal everyone!" Hopefully everyone was happy about that.

Now, onto events and such. "Ally events, let's see... the Frontier invited us to a stargazing event this week, so be sure to attend if you like stars!" Poe certainly did. "As for within our own Clan, we have an OOC Prompts thread, as well as a brainstorming session for events. If you want to sign up to host weekly tasks or prompts, please check out the newly-updated sign-up thread here. The Thunderlands and the Wind Haven are our only two allies without ambassadors, so feel free to sign-up here if you'd like. Any questions before I move on?"

  • Another clan meeting. There had just been another one in BlizzardClan as well. Funny how clan meetings tended to coincide. Walking over to join the small crowd forming around Poe, Piedpiper took a seat, his hazel eyes bright as he looked on. Clean-up day didn't really sound fun, to be honest, but it was important so Piper made a note to help out. As for the other news, he simply made a mental note of them. He already held an ambassadorship to the Sanctuary so he couldn't really volunteer for the Thunderlands or Wind Haven.

Cherrylove was quiet as he approached, jaws stretching wide in a yawn. It was still pretty early for the incubus, and honestly, at Poe's call, he'd debated whether or not he should actually get up and attend. Whatever. Meetings never lasted very long, he could go back to sleeping afterward. He stretched his paws and sat himself down towards the back of the group, looking drowsily up at his leader.

*:・゚✦ Belladonna was there, as normal. As she glanced around the territory and the mess around them - there was still a lot of fallen branches and debris around the forest - she nodded eagerly as she listened to Poe bring up a clean-up job; sounded like a wonderful idea. Having nothing else to add, she quietly hummed as she waited for Poe to continue.

  • TAGS ✦ ✧ ✦ — John made his way over and sat down, looking around at everyone with little pride. He had a bad day not to long ago and he felt like he let down his group. His family. The feline was tired of dealing with this brain damage and was no seeking for a way to fix it. But it was hard, since normal herbs didn't work. He would have to look for some kind of magic, if only his mom was here to help him out. The feline watched as Poe talked and realized he hadn't been listening for very long. Popping his notebook open, he began to take notes even though he didn't want to. John knew he still needed to try. ""

Poe glanced out across the small group and smiled softly. Alright then. “Shoutouts go to all four of you here- Piedpiper, Belladonna, John, and Cherrylove. Thank you all for sticking in here with me. No promotions this week, but Paperpaw and Whisper are demoted. That’s all for that.”

“Now, onto some big changes. A while back we discussed new traditions in the Clan, and I’d like to hear any opinions you guys have on it. Of course we have our traditions of receiving a hawk companion, or another kind of bird, and burying the dead with a hawk feather. However, I have more to add to that. When a new member joins HawkClan, they will have nothing. Once they receive their hawk, however, they will receive the feather of their hawk to wear on a necklace or bracelet. As that member grows in rank, they will receive different feathers to denote their various ranks- and other feathers for titles as well. I believe it will be a simple yet beautiful way to show off how much someone has done for the Clan. Maybe even a type of feather for ambassadors as well, or as awards for battles and such. Does that sound good? Also, a little birdie told me that the hawks are growing a little tiresome of just receiving prey. From now on, they will be expecting something of value from you. If they are going to pledge their lives to being your companion, they want to know you are willing to give up just as much for them. I don’t make the rules on that... sorry. But we can vote on the feather-rank thing. Does everyone like that? If so, we’ll have to discuss what feathers stand for what. Feel free to give your own comments or ask questions.”

  • He attended late, he was busy in his tree house doing un-nameable things. Although with time he heard some of the announcements and listened carefully. It seemed great that soon enough the whole clan will be back on the ground, which was good because after this event he was pretty must traumatized. It seemed that Hawkclan began to be quiet in the past month, which hopefully soon enough he could change with time. He blinked at the hawk adjustments and started to wonder where his hawk, Cadet went too after he left for some months. Cadet never seemed to be the talker, and she seemed just to want ravelights for food, but that didn't bother him. He was too busy to care for a hawk in the first place, and it was easier to feed her and not see her for a day or two. Although as he began to grow more free time when he came back, he wanted to see her again. He knew soon enough he would, although the connection between the two just wasn't as promotable as some others. He simply wanted to study her, as she was much different from the other birds around the area. "Yes, it seems like a great idea"

*:・゚✦ Unlike Ravelights' hawk and more like Poe's Yavin, Belladonna's companion Gambol was never far from her side. Usually roosting quietly on her back, she gave a glance back to him as Poe announced all these new traditions; and Gambol just looked back inquisitively, like, 'ah crap, I have to give more feathers?' turning back to Poe, the new additions sounded pretty fun; she wasn't too sure if she was talented enough to make a necklace with Gambol's feathers, though. She wondered what the rank ones would look like.

  • A shout-out for himself and a few of his clanmates. Two others were demoted, two whom he had never met or actually spoken to before. He wondered what had happened to them. They didn't seem to be at this meeting either. Frowning quietly, Piedpiper continued to watch as Poe speak. New traditions? Ranks? Was it that easy to make traditions? Listening curiously, he made no vocalisation, simply reflecting on the new changes Poe had mentioned.
