  • SPINEPELT —

Green eyes focused on the well-trodden bushes of their Cougar's den, shaking the stiffness from his legs Spinepelt limped over to the den. He'd just finished up guard duty, standing watch outside the tangle of bushes that surrounded their home. "Awake, Skyteller?" He mewed softly, hoping to figure out the plan of action for the day.

    Sign-ups

  • Skyteller raised her head to the calling voice "I am. Is everything ok this morning?" The silver female asked, standing up. She stretched gracefully and turned her body to face him.

Tigersoul was on guard at this time, scanning the territory for any threats.

  • SPINEPELT —

Spinepelt nosed his way into the den, giving Skyteller a small dip of the head, "As far as I know! Everything was quiet through the night." His ear flicked, and the tom glanced back out to the camp. "I was wondering if you'd be leading the water run today?" The sky was already clearing up, the clouds moving out of the sun's way. It definitely promised to be a hot day!

    CLAYPOOL —

Nodding to Tigersoul, Claypool quietly padded into camp mouth clamped around a particularly fluffy jack rabbit. Tail flicking they spat out their catch in the meager pile of prey for the day. They glanced around, looking for another hunter to take a trip out before the sun got too high.

  • Skyteller gave it a thought "hmm. I was considering it. I believe I may" she said and dipped her head to him. "We can do this efficiently today" she purred happily

Tigersoul smiled to Claypool, watching the cat go and remained on guard.

A naked form could be seen skirting around the shadows, a thin nude tail flicking in the air as cloudy colorless orbs stared forward into the abyss. The cat was obviously old by the way his whiskers drooped and with the amount of wrinkles and baggy skin that hung from his skinny frame. Yes the old cat was blind but all of his other senses were strengthened especially his hearing, the two flaps of cartilage swerved in the direction of conversation, the few patches of remaining fur spiked up before laying flat on his dull grey body. Scars could be seen decorating his dull body, the scratches popping out to any passerby with wandering eyes. One of the ears flicked backwards before his paws led him in the direction of his den that was shared with the healer, after growing accustomed to the camp which the tribe lived in he had mapped out the entire place in his minds eye. The den that he shared with the healer was directly located in the middle of the camp situated within a hollow rock, it could get somewhat breezy at night but it was a well cherished distraction from the heat of the day. With a yawn the old tom padded towards the hollow rock that he called home, his thin tail swaying behind him as he carried on his merry way.

    AMBERMOON

Tribe of Sandstone - Hunter - Tom - 28 moons - Interacting with Cherryfall

The young hunter had been up since the sun had risen over the sand dunes to chase away the chill of the night, the large fluffy tom had gone out hunting with his sister to catch the few prey animals that they could find, all he had caught was a snake and a roadrunner while his sister managed two small mice. There wasn't much out here in the desert but they only had to manage and feed the rest of the clan with what meager finds they could bring back. With a sigh the toms amber orbs flicked to his sister to see her staring off into the distance, a far away look in her orbs that resembled his. He gently nudged her side with his shoulder, receiving a warm smile in response but no comment was given. He looked up to the sky to see that the stars were slowly vanishing, he liked the stars for some odd reason, perhaps it was because he felt closer to the gods and goddesses. The Oracle of their tribe always interested him but he never had the guts to go up to him and speak to the old blind tom maybe out of fear or nerves. He didn't know how the Oracle's Apprentice could deal with the old tom, maybe because they were fearless or were used to the hairless tom. He shook his head to rid it of thoughts as the two siblings padded into camp, placing their kills along with the others.

    CHERRYFALL

Tribe of Sandstone - Hunter - Molly - 28 moons - Interacting with Ambermoon

That night the molly had a rather poor night of resting, there was too much tossing and turning before she had finally gotten up to sleep next to her brother who had covered her with his large fluffy tail. The two had woken up together and with some of the other hunters went off into the wilderness to fetch some prey for the clan to eat, there wasn't much out in the desert but the tribe managed with what they had. She had managed to kill two rather small meager mice while her brother caught a snake and a roadrunner. She was jealous of his luck and ability to give to the tribe while what she did was so small in comparison to him, she silently gazed off into the unknown only to be dragged back by a nudge to her side. Her amber orbs flickered to her brother, offering a smile that was not real before turning her gaze away to take in the scenery. It was beautiful out here and she enjoyed walking out as far as she could before she turned back either because of thirst or hunger, whatever the reason she still enjoyed the wilderness and wished that she could travel and never come back until her curiosity was fulfilled. She followed after her brother to place her kills along with the others, slightly narrowing her orbs at how small and pathetic the mice looked. With a huff she followed after her brother, keeping her head down so no attention would come to her.

    APPLESKIP

Tribe of Sandstone - Guard - Molly - 25 moons - Open to interaction

Because of her duties to the tribe Appleskip didn't get any rest, she was up all night guarding their camp from anything that might be a potential problem to the lives of her tribemates. She had noticed that Claypool had also stayed up and dipped her head in acknowledgement to the other cat. The fluffy ginger molly turned her head in the direction of Skyteller, smiling sweetly at the tribes Cougar, their leader. She also noticed Spinepelt who was conversing with the leader, she opted to sit near the entrance that led into their camp, her forest green orbs flicking about to see anything that might be going on. Some of the hunters had gone out to go hunting for the tribe, only returning to bring back their catches. She wasn't one to eat much but she did have to keep up with her mass, she was no small cat and had to make sure she was keeping up her weight as well as her strength. She couldn't be weak in front of her tribe, that would be a complete embarrassment and she couldn't let herself fall that low. No, she had to remain strong and well for her tribe or she was a waste of space to them, another useless mouth to feed which they couldn't afford.

  • SPINEPELT—

The Second let out a mrrow of amusement, shifting to keep the weight off his twisted paw. "Any word from the Gods?" He sobered up a bit, sending a quick silent pray of thanks to his patron deity for the calm night. They'd been on the quieter side as of late, nothing much to report on, he'd guessed. Which was both a blessing and a worry.

    CLAYPOOL —

The sleek tom waved his tail in greeting to Appleskip, coming toward the larger molly with a nod. "Quiet night, I hope? Claypool tried for conversation, nose twitching slightly.

*:・゚✦ Having woken up earlier, Red stretched out his paws, looking around for awhile. He mentor hadn't been awake yet, so he took the time to lounge around. Rock being his mentor Left a bad taste in his mouth. He didn't want to be the next Oracle, he didn't want to learn and receive messages from the gods. He wanted to be able to hunt and fight like the others. But that just wasn't Hus choice, it seemed.

Amber eyes spotted Rock, walking into the den and with hesitation, the time followed slowly after him, Entering the den, he stood next to his mentor, swallowing something down his throat and trying his best to be respectable

"Uh, Good morning Rock... How did you sleep?"

The Cheshire cat with his smile fading

    Badgerface / Tribe of Sandstone & Guard / Male [♂/♀] / tags & information

*:・゚✦ Still resting in the den, Badgerface was snoring away. At some point in his dream, the thought that he was the last one awake seemed to shake the tom out of his dream, lifting his head up and quickly rising to his paws. Still frazzled, anxious from the possiblity of being mocked, he sped out of the den, almost tripping as he went to the entrance, dipping his head to Appleskip and blinking slightly, trying to get his words out.

"Good morning.. Uh, if you want I can take over your post? You should rest and eat, after all.."

He almost forget about Claypool and nodded his head to the other respectfully.

    "Speech."

  • Skyteller's tail twitched "not recently. I'm hoping for one very soon. The silence is becoming deafening to me" the she-cat said shaking her head. "I will not lose hope. I know there has to be a message for the tribe soon!" She said reassuring herself as well.

Tribe of Sandstone - Oracle - Tom - 85 moons - Interacting with Red

The old tom turned his head in the direction of the young voice of his apprentice. The colorless eerie orbs gazed at the young apprentice before turning away as he padded further into the hollow rock to sort through his materials. “The Oracle doesn’t need much sleep, they must always be alert in case the gods send a prophecy.” He said this as his paw went through his bundle of materials until he grabbed a parchment that had several writings on it. He padded back into the sunlight and placed the parchment down so that the sunlight trailed over the words. He flicked his tail at his apprentice and turned his head down towards the ground. “Read this, it talks about the gods. You need a better understanding of them Red.” He turned his orbs in the toms direction, his eyelids flicking down to blink quickly.

    APPLESKIP

Tribe of Sandstone - Guard - Molly - 25 moons - Interacting with Claypool and Badgerface

The large Molly flicked her attention to Claypool who approached her, she touched the smaller toms shoulder with her nose in a gesture of friendship. “Good morning Claypool and yes it was rather quiet, how did you fair?” She flicked her torn ear in the direction of a voice that came from her side, she turned her head to see Badgerface and greeted him as well with a playful flick to his shoulder with her tail. “Ah, I’m fine Badgerface. I’m not quite tired yet but when I do I’ll tell you.” She smiled at the tom before her green gaze flicked to Skyteller and Spinepelt who were conversing. “There’s supposed to be a water run today, are you two up for it.” She smiled playfully at the two toms, her fluffy tail waving behind her as her ears swiveled forward.

  • SPINEPELT —

Spinepelt nodded, eyes narrowing amused, "I should get the morning patrols going, before we head for the Watering Hole." He dipped his head to Skyteller, excusing himself. The leopard spotted tom shouldered his way out of the den, flicking his tail toward Cherryfall and Badgerface. "You two rested enough for a quick patrol to the east?"

    CLAYPOOL —

"Quiet, and very dry." The hunter blinked kindly at Badgerface, happily wrapping their tail around their paws. "Any drier and I'll look like a tumbleweed!" Claypool huffed a laughed, their raspy voice ending with a purr.

Red / Tribe of Sandstone & Oracle Apprentice / Male [♂/♀] / tags & information

*:・゚✦ First, Red was taken a back from the toms harsh attitude, but that didn't last long, scowling hard. What else was new? Rock had always been a jerk, nothing was new. The tom resisted the urge to roll his eyes a the hers claim that oracles didn't need much sleep. Once he was Oracle, he was gonna make sure there were a few more changes, and there will be nothing this old fleabag could do about it.

Amber eyes looked down at the parchment with disdain, baring his teeth in a grimacing. He laid on his belly, hissing under his breath.

"Well, if these gods are any good then they should be able to send prophecies in our dreams." While harsh, there was a sliver of him that regretted those words but that was muffled by his disdain.

    "Speech."

*:・゚✦ Catching his breath, Badgerfaces' gaze flickered back and forth between Appleskip and Claypool, slowly calming down and relaxing. "Yea, ok..." He quickly brightened up at the idea of the water run today, he wasn't one to want to engage in combat himself, but the idea of fighting against a predator filled him with such anxiety it was exciting. He nodded in response but before he could speak, his attention was over at Spinepelt. He nodded respectfully.

"Oh, yea sure! No problem..." The east was so uneventful to Badgerface, but maybe excitement will show up there.

Early morning hunts was what Smokefern seems to love doing, the grey tabby clearly made his attempt on it. Thanks, be the gods for that, tail swishing with pleasure, and always in indication that nothing shall go awry in accordance of him coming out of this early morning hunt with a unfixable injury. He was lugging what used to be an unaware fowl. That bird made such a racket going down, Smokefern had half the mind to whack it with his paws to throttle it to it’s internal slumber. The bird was heavy, no point of carrying it since it was impossible at this point, so here he was dragging it, taking brief stops to regain his breath before resuming.

Honestly small would have preferred the night sky over the now blistering hot or going to be blistering hot sun. The calico twitched his ears, mostly from the already growing annoyance towards the sun. A few grumbles escaped the already trying to furrow deeper into his nest apprentice, with no avail. Already throwing himself onto his paws, to join the rest of the world. The petite calico took four steps out into the open world, with a hiss adjusting the sunlight.

  • So let's be happy

OOC: Sorry if this isn't very good, I'm still trying to get back into the swing of things after almost two months, and school work is sapping my muse.

    Forever happy

IC: Hawkeyes had found himself on the cusp on being asleep, and being awake. The Tribe's healer had stayed there, hoping to get more sleep, though it never actually came, and the minute he heard Rock and Red's voices, he knew he was awake. His tabby pelt twitched slightly on his back as he opened his golden eyes. Hawk stretched himself out of the curled up position he had been laying in.

Acknowledging Rock and Red with a chirp and a twitch of his tail, Hawk promptly left. He didn't want to be in the middle of any fallout, should any occur. Hawkeyes stepped out into the desert sunshine, with its very familiar heat warming his pelt.

    Completely happy

    And a tiny bit sad

  • ★ ★ ★

Camp. Finally. To avail, Smokefern was exhausted just dragging the fowl towards the camp, leaving sand trails in his wake. He would have to clear that up, the moment the tabby broke through the clan entrance, the heat of the morning sun was already becoming a bit of a bigger issue towards the already worn out grey tabby, never the less it felt blissful on his pelt. Finally dropping the bird, somewhere close to the center of the camp, or rather closer to the fresh kill pile, he stretched arching his back groaning faintly in response hearing his bones pop in the appropriate places. He needed that, oh so much so he needed that. "Speech."

" Why must the sun be so bright.. Is it possible to turn off the sun?" It was apparent that Small was not a morning person, he would have rather spent his mornings asleep. The warming sunlight was doing nothing for him, since he lived on the cooled night air, and warm sand than dealing with the scorched heat, tail swishing in his annoyance, the apprentice sat on his haunches awaiting something, anything in that nature for something to be done. Rather anything really.

  • Eaglepelt

Having been awake for some time, the ashen gray tom lay sprawled out on his stomach near the edge of camp. While Eaglepelt often complained of the sweltering heat that cursed their home, he couldn't argue that basking in the sun was too bad of an idea. Letting out a groan of satisfaction, the guard shifted onto his side, his vibrant green eyes opening slightly to observe the going-ons of the camp. More cats were up now, he noticed. That would mean he would have to get to work soon. With a sigh, Eaglepelt pushed himself to his paws and stood momentarily, his tail flicking as he scanned the camp.

    Clover

The healer apprentice snored softly in her sad excuse for a nest, made up of twigs and bits of dried weeds she had found outside of the camp. The quality of her nest didn't quite matter to her; her nest could be made from fox teeth and she would still find a way to sleep in every day. Which was exactly what the young she-cat was doing. The fluffy she-cat's ears perked up as she heard her mentor leave his nest near her and, with a groan, she lifted her head to see his tail disappear from the den. Letting out a heavy sigh, Clover scrambled to her paws and climbed out of the den a bit too quickly, tripping over her paws as she did so. "Morning, Hawkeyes! I've been up forever, just didn't want to wake you!" She insisted playfully, planting herself firmly in front of him with a grin.

  • Skyteller emerged from her den and out into the sun, hearing a few voices. She padded over to the center of camp where most of the activity was. The silver female traced everyone with her eyes as they moved and spoke, trying to gather the tribes mood today and it wasn't too great.

  • *:・゚✦ Small| Smallfeather

    —— I burn my shadow away | apprentice| ftm| gay *:・゚✦

Small wondered of where his mentor was, Spinepelt. There was a good chance that he was still sleeping, and Small had awaken for no good reason which would have clearly irked the apprentice, since his precious sleeping time was wasted because of the sunlight, or rather the blazing heat would made it difficult to do anything else. He was for one thing grateful that his pelt was on the short end of the fur texture, so the heat wouldn’t exactly kill him from overheating. But there wasn’t much shade provided in the camp, when the afternoon and evening sun would clearly take every single cat hostage from dying from a heatstroke.

It was easier to live were there was water, since where there was water there would be grass. Grass was twenty times better than the scorching sands that was under his paws. Speaking of which he was digging in groves only covering more sand in the ground of which his paw dug.

    Boredom was killing him.

    "Speech."

  • SPINEPELT —

The tom swiveled toward his apprentice with a blink, "You're awake early, Small." Spinepelt purred amused, "Why don't you come with three of us on patrol? It'll do you good." He nodded toward Badgerface and Cherryfall, setting off in a confident gait toward the entrance of the camp. He'd been slacking a bit on Small's training, the younger cat had slipped his mind while he dealt with his usual duties.

  • ❝ KEEP YOUR DAMN HANDS OFF MY DIXIE BOY ❞

Sand gets everywhere, especially in Cindersong’s fur. The brown and white tabby laid glared distastefully at the endless amounts of sand that surrounded her left and right. Oh, how she hated the substance, her fluffy tail lashed out just to prove how much she hated it. It was getting warmer now, that the sun has risen. The femme had a show to put on, taking deep breaths before she dragged herself onto her paws. She could hear her clan mates, and gave herself a quick wash clearing a snaggles, and displaced fur into a smoothing touch, there was no amount of calmness in this femme. Other than that, she looked for a certain cold induvial, someone who shared her own likeness. " Condorstorm!."

she so elegantly hissed if that was possible, where was he?

" Patrol? Sure..."" The calico placed himself right onto his paws, now glad to stretch his paws and get out of camp, normally a apprentice bound camp would be bouncing all of the place or begging at the chance to just get to go outside, Small was like that probably for three moons or so but managed to die down on that since it was nothing really grand about it. Just clearly go outside, and look around for anything dangerous or shouldn't be there.
