Charlotte was and always has been a skittish soul, despite her other forms size. When she had hatched in the dark blue depths it was a sudden frenzy and need to get out of the water. It felt suffocating and scared her little mind while her siblings became natural swimmers. She managed to get to this place when a storm pushed the tides towards the shore. And ever since she couldn't step a foot in the dark blue liquid. So she made home here, eating the tropical fruits from the trees and becoming larger everyday, until she became an adult. It was quite lonesome, and she spent her time watching rubble from ships wash onto her shores, taking treasure and storing it at the bottom of a shallow pond she called home. One time, when she was younger, a similar occurrence had arised when a Small crew in a tiny boat came here. Savages. They were nothing but treasure hunters that tore the place apart in search of any speck of gold they could find. But the island was just as harsh and they all perished after being unable to reach the sweet fruits in the high, slippery trees. The trees here were slick and the fish never came close to fish, and the mammals were well adapted to the island to escape their spears. They had not managed to find her slinking around and stalking them, watching them struggle. But now, a lone female had washed up.

The white beast was bewildered, not having the time to hide out of sight before eyes were on her form. And, the one pure emotion that wiped her was shyness, her furry cheeks felt unusually hot and her body slightly quivered.

    Name: Victoria

    Age: 21

Personality: her personality is much like a cat. A cold and harsh person on the outside. When peeled the layers of ice she becomes soft, affectionate. She comes off as rude or oblivious of other’s feelings. When she cares for something she takes her best to take care of it. She has a fear of cockroaches, and gets too cold easily, and too hot. She can be a sweetheart, usually to small animals that catch her eye and has a knack with them too, she hasn’t met an animal she hasn’t became ‘friends’ with,

Victoria cursed as her crew jumped her ship, taking all the boats. Of course her crew was a bunch of traitors who wanted her dead, just because she was to nice and not a “real” captain. While she was in her cabin she suddenly heard a loud bang and felt the crash of a cannon ball hit her ship. Instantly getting up leaving her journal! Pocketing it of course, she made her way to the deck to find her crew being circled by two ships and shot at. Anger ran through her veins as she watched her crew just abandon ship without fighting. Another shot fired and hit her ship. She flew to the ground with the shake of this one. She knew with the damage and her being in the middle of an ocean there was no way she would get to land fast enough. Her mind went slightly numb and the sounds became muffled. Had she hit her head that hard? She blinked away the black clouds in her eyes and saw a barrel. She knew it wouldn’t be a good thing and had a fifty fifty chance of surviving. Who knew what sharks did when they saw a barrel smelling like a human. She quickly made her way over to it and pushed as many barrels as she could into the ocean. She looked and didn’t see any sharks which was good. She made sure she had both her sword and her journal before diving into the ocean. Grabbing onto the nearest barrel she climbed on it. She would’ve got in it but her body was against her As the last thing she remebers was a loud cannon going off.

Groggily Victoria opened her eyes. She wasn’t sure where she was but her feet were wet while she felt sand clinging to her face. She saw that a barrel was beside her and her arm was uncomfortable under her body, her sheathed sword was digging painfully in her leg and she had a painful headache. ‘Where is the whisky when needed’ she thought as she sat up and swiped the sand off her cheeks. She blinked as she saw something in the trees. Big, white, and staring at her. She froze instantly, her hand went to her sword faster than she could blink as she continued to stare as the beauty of a beast, but knowing all to well no matter how beautiful something is, they were more dangerous than anything. Now it took a lot to scare (lies) so when the creature settled for staring at her she got defensive. Standing up on shaky limbs she pulled her sword out of its case and held it in front of her. “Come near me, and your white fur will be dyed red” she said to th ebeast ignoring the shaking in her legs as she stood there awkwardly in show, feeling the water run back behind her to only come back and soak her soaked boots even more making her even colder than she already was, she was sure she looked like a drowned cat.

Now, being threatened wasn't exactly a way to make Charlotte less scared. Certainly she had learned english, both naturally and when shipwrecks occurred, there were sometimes books or journals with blurry ink that she could barely read. Bewildered she stood in place, like a deer caught in headlights, nt having to open her mouth, a voice projected from her." T-that is very rude, but I-I understand your reasoning." She claimed out loud in a shaky soft voice. Charlotte did not want to be harmed, or stained red. Her coat was so white it seemed to slightly glow in the sun that beamed down on the tropical island. She couldn't seem to unplant her claws from the yelow sand, her body protested against her minds will to flee. So she took the time to examine the human holding the pointed sword. The woman looked soaked to the bone, unlike her own fluffy warm fur. But, just as she was, the pirate was standing on shaky legs that looked as if they would give out. Seeing the waves inch back onto the shore and back again, she was hesitant to even go near in the first place."You're g-going to freeze if you stand there l-like that." Once again Charlotte had spoke in the same shaky voice.

Victoria narrowed her eyes when the beast seemed to study her. She let her mind wander, if she saw this beast just by the shore who knows what other beasts lurk in the trees, or what crawls underneath the ground. She done the want to think of what could fly and pluck her off the ground just to kill her. She shook her head and let her sword fall back into its case, any longer and her tired limbs would’ve gave out. She studied the beast, it didn’t seem threatening and if she read into it, it looked a bit afraid. She huffed at that thought a beast afraid of humans that’s a thought she would like to be true when out in the sea. She didn’t jump, she did but would never admit it, when a voice rang out to answer her comment. Her eyes grew wide as she stared at the beast again seeing as the beast was the only thing around that could speak. Before she could retort the voice spoke again, now that she claimed the fact that she hadn’t drank to much booze before her ship sunk and now it started creeping up on her causing her to imagine the beast talking but Now was standing to the fact that the beast could talk. She glared at the beast’s comment of her freezing but knew it was right. “And you care why? Do you want me to come near you so you could just kill me?” She asked in a rough and challenging voice.

  • The beast shook her head in denial." I'd r-rather not have you close at all. A-And I dont like meat. Not humans anyway." Valerie couldn't help her shakiness, her claws clenching the soft sand as her silver blue eyes scanned the pirate again. Finally the beast mustered up some courage and started to walk to the shore, but not towards the pirate, towards a bunch of rubble, and dragging it away from the water. She promptly sat down, and delicately her claws moved the rubble around, her eyes searching for something.

Victoria listened to the beast with a blank face, she made sure not to show her emotions in front of it but listened closely. So the beast was what a vegan? Vegetarian? This was confusing but she also knew better than to trust the thing, it probably wanted her to get comfortable here and then when she let her guard down the creature would swoop down and eat her, no way was she dying anytime soon. She stiffened slighty when she watched the beast move to the shore and thankfully wasn’t near her but towards rubble from her ship most likely. Instead of chasing the beast away from the reamains of her ship she decided to just watch, after a few minutes she carefully made her way over but stopped a safe distance away from the beast. “What are you doing?” She asked simply, her tone of voice was one when she used an order; expectant of an answer from the beast.

  • Valeries mind was set on something, her thoughts clouded with intent, she barely noticed the female had approached her, but not too close. Her claws picked stingily at the rubbish, and her ears twitched as soon as the pirate spoke.“ Looking for reading material.” She replied solemnly.“ I l-like to look at the words, I find a lot of writings about the mainland." Pausing when her paw felt the paper like substance, she tugged out a torn up book that was missing a ton of pages, including the book cover and back. The ink was watery, and words were not clear, so she put it aside and sniffed in disappointment. Her paws were now damp from water, so instead of staying she moved her body quickly towards the tree line, tail sliding in the sand behind her before she slunk down in the now grassy area.“day doesn't seem to last long anymore. Its going to be freezing here in a bit, its best to stay dry." She mumbled. Valerie never had a conversation with a human before. She never helped one either.
