    rowankit let out another sigh at snowykit's reply and shook her head, "that was... er, nice of you to come over and ask, but no. i'm not lonely, and i wasn't bored. i'm just sunning myself, i enjoy spending time alone and relaxing." rowankit's stubby tail twitched back and forth impatiently, "besides, i thought sitting in the middle of a giant hot spot might keep other cats away, but i guess not.." this last part was mumbled by the young molly, lowering her gaze slightly.

    there was a slight pang of guilt in the young one's heart, but that quickly faded. the guilt was mostly from how excited snowykit had looked whilst approaching rowankit, and how crestfallen she would be after hearing rowan's reply just now. despite being a very closed off individual [and unlike skeletonstar], rowankit did have a heart and had proper feelings. she just hated expressing them and often kept them buried deep within her, always coming off as aloof and agitated.

    rowankit began to grow even more irritated than she already was. all the young she-cat wanted was for snowykit to leave her alone. with another irritable sigh, she turned and met snowykit's gaze with narrowed eyes, "i prefer to be alone because i don't like talking to other cats. being alone isn't boring at all, it's actually incredibly relaxing and you are interrupting my time to relax." rowankit was obviously trying her hardest not to snap at the other kitten, her tail beginning to twitch again out of pure annoyance.

    "now, snowykit, are we finished here? or is there something else you wanted? because i would very much like to get back to relaxing by myself." rowankit gave her the sweetest smile she could muster up, her patience now at its limit.

    Cricketpaw noticed her mentor getting down low, the young she cat lifted her head to take in the scents of the forest. She detected some prey a little ways off from where her mentor was scenting her own. She padded closer going into a small bush that led toward the scent, she looked through the small twigs her green-yellow eyes glinting at the sight of a small bird pecking at some seeds that had fallen from a tree. She crouched down, ready to go, she waited for the bird to hop a little closer to the bush before she exploded out from her hiding place with great precision. She landed square on her catch digging her claws in before leaning down to give it the kill bite. She felt triumph fill her heart as she lifted her head licking her maw free from the blood of her prey. She was a good hunter and the clan knew it due to her long muscled legs, that is where she got her name cricket was her jumping skills.

    He sit down smilling to his apprentice when Minnowpaw got to the fresh kill pile. Grooming his fur he patiently waited the younger cat do finish his meal so they could go out to do some todays trainings.

    rowankit felt a strange feeling within her, and she could only assume it was guilt. the young caracal was quick to scold herself, however, slapping her face with unsheathed claws to keep herself from lingering on that guilt.

    not realizing she had her claws unsheathed, rowankit stifled a surprised yelp when she felt a sharp pain in her cheek. confused as to why she felt the sting of pain, rowankit lowered raised a paw to her burning cheek and took it away to see blood soaking her russet red fur. "sh-t..." she grumbled, her tail lashing with irritation. deciding not to go visit the medicine den, rowankit sat there for a while longer, closing her eyes and enjoying the warm sun on her soft fur.

    it took a few minutes, but the blood trickling from the wound on her cheek had slowed and stopped dripping onto the hot stone, soon drying completely and rowankit soon forgot completely about it.

    The muted buzz of clan activity brought a mound of creamy white fur and legs tumbling out of the apprentices den. You wouldn't know it at first, but there was an actual cat under that mass of downy fur, with huge yale blue hues flashing every once and a while to prove it. Soft-padded paws trotted eagerly through the cave-like camp, almost too quiet to draw any attention. Was that what he was going for? A quick slip out of camp before anyone noticed? Only the young, inexperienced mind of Kipperpaw knew that.

    It was just over a moon since the tom had been apprenticed, and he let everyone remain aware through his typical new-apprentice spiel of acting as if he was already a warrior destined for greatness. Though this, he still kept like a curious feline and tried to take the world into his own paws and explore whenever possible. Would now be that time again to roam the territory?

    Ears pricked and swiveling as his eyes worked in unison looking out for his clanmates, Kipperpaw headed for the camp entrance.

    Tucked snugly in her moss-lined nest, tail covering her nose, Quickspider remained dead to the world. As always, the overly-energetic and boisterous molly was the last up. It was as if she needed to refuel the masses of energy she used up each day by partaking in a seemingly endless slumber.

    Alas, she couldn't lay unconscious forever. Ever so slightly her eyelids crept open, her blue and amber dichroic optics just barely noticeable against the darkness of the warriors den. A quick scan of her gaze let her be aware that once again she was one of the last few up. Typical, everyone's too busy to enjoy their nests. Mentally, she laughed to herself and promptly rose from her nest, quickly making a b-line for the fresh-kill pile for a nice meal to start her day.


    GHOSTFOREST 👻

    Taller than the ferns and brush he seemed to float by, Ghostforest roamed the grounds as he did most of his day. Unfortunately, sleep for him wasn't enjoyed as much as it was for his fellow clanmates as he found himself restless and unable to be confined in the dens for longer than a few hours. He'd never confide in the medicine cats for something to help him, that would keep him from the ability to enjoy the gentle sounds of the night without anyone disturbing it.

    After both his parents died, the male found spending time in nature to be a way to connect with his father, Archwind. He always took Ghostforest out for a night walk, no matter the weather or how tired they both were. It was tranquil and sad at the same moment as Archwind dedicated this nightly ritual to his deceased mate, Treefoot. It was a way to teach Ghostforest about his mother since she passed shortly after his birth. --

    Those long legs brought Ghostforest towering over his clanmates, making him feel ostracized in a way, which was a key reason he kept in the forest rather than mingle. He found it hard to relate to his younger counterparts. Being old, but not old enough to be an elder made him seem like a bag of achy bones to the newer warriors. They reigned over Fogclan now, his friends and fellow senior warriors already passed in their own ways, giving the new generation majority. He had no idea how to be a young feline anymore.
