  • Another day of being stuck in a feline form. Oh boy. At least in a cat body, he was able to get around easier; four legs make things a lot easier.

It was still mid-morning and Samuel had decided to go exploring. Walking through the forrest was something he enjoyed doing in his free time. It seemed that every time he went out there, something new was discovered! Today however, was different.

While he was walking, he heard something..strange. The cat lowered himself in the grass, hoping his bright pelt didn’t make him stick out too much. On the other side of the bush, a large human man was bending over, messing with something metal. The vice sovereign waited until the man left, then quietly walked over and checked things out. It had large spikey teeth on it, and on the inside was a can of..meat? It smelled weird, but not like anything that he was going to willingly eat!

He had seen these objects before while being held hostage by the Dog Fighters around a year ago. They used these traps to either kill animals, or hold them until the human could come and finish the animal off. He had to warn Deutschland, but there was no way he was leaving this unattended.

  • Samuel standing over a trap put Mingan's senses on alert. It was lucky she ate before she came over here. "A trap?" Her green eyes scanned the shiny metal thing that laid on the ground. "We should warn Deutschland. I would suggest we try and get rid of it, but...it seems too risky..."

IT'S GONNA GO DOWN IN FLAMES & TAGS

  • Sam would sigh in slight relief as Mingan came over. Now he didn't have to monitor it as much. "Yes we need to tell him. Stay right here, I'll be right back." he said, hurrying off in the opposite direction of camp.

He returned carrying a long, thick branch that weighed probably more than him. "Stay back here..when this thing goes, its going to snap." he warned. After stumbling closer to the metal contraption, Sam pushed the branch into the center of the trap. After the trigger was pushed on the trap, its huge metal jaws snapped, causing the branch to break in half.

Sam looked back at Mingan, then back at the trap. "Be careful...There may be more. We need to alert the others"

  • She watched Sam dash off, then return with a branch, which he pushed into the trap. Oh jeez, that was powerful. "Yes, perhaps we should make an announcement to the group about it. Or have Deutschland mention it in the next meeting."

IT'S GONNA GO DOWN IN FLAMES & TAGS

  • ★ ★ ★ If Wes had been present when the man was laying the trap, he probably would’ve been overjoyed. Perhaps he’d have somehow been able to communicate he was lost. But, when he instead arrived as Samuel set off the large, metal jaws, he was terrified. “What is that?” he asked, eyeing the contraption with wide eyes. It obviously wasn’t alive, but it looked almost like a mouth. It also looked dangerous, especially with Sam’s talk of alerting everyone. What was it doing out here?

    "Speech."
