  • Emma Jean walked into the Temple of Anubis. Although she was a proffessional, she couldn’t help but to look with awe. Ever since she was a little kid she had wanted to go to Egypt, not only because she was part Egyptian, but also because she loved Egyptian history and mythology, though she was a little rusty on both, what with her main focus being on exploration and adventure and all that. Emma laughed to herself as she was dumbstruck by all of hieroglyphics, architecture, GOLD. Though she was a bit suspicious as to why there were no traps. Then again, no one had ever stepped into the temple, not even Ancient Egyptians, though that was still odd as well. Emma stopped looking for a middle and stopped at the crowning jewel in the middle of the room; a large statue of Anubis, attatched to the wall, as tall as the room, with glowing golden eyes. It was beautiful. Emma couldn’t help but to marvel at its craftsmanship. It was funny, as it’s eyes kind of reminded Emma of her own striking green eyes. After a while, Emma moved away from the statue and began investigating the rest of the room, not noticing red gas coming out of the statue’s mouth.

    Form:

    My Character:

  • 0bab1ab6aae7b4339a757574ea29a9e7.jpg

    Name: Anubis

Age: Ageless although acts around 30

    Gender: Male

Personality: He has become rather withdrawn from his time away from humans. He tends to prefer silence then speak when he doesn't need to. Although he tries to act as if he is above it all his anger easily get the better of him. He is also very prideful and holds on to petty grudges. Cold and cunning he is rather straight forwards with his words and actions. He is of course not very used to talking with humans so he comes across as extremely arrogant. Despite his arrogance he has some forms of compassion, he helps comfort those that are going into the underworld.

Likes: Peace and quiet, showing off his powers

    Dislikes: disturbances, insolent humans

    Other: Anubis lives

  • (Alright I added a little bit to my form)

Should a god feel any sort of human emotions? He was questioning why he had to experience the emotion of sheer boredom. Yes he could possibly solve his boredom by shapeshifting to walk among the humans for a bit, but it wouldn't last for very long. The god was deep in his temple, in a long forgotten place mortals wouldn't be able to reach even if any mortals actually bothered to trek to his temple anymore. Suddenly the ears on top of his head went forwards and a large grin spread across his muzzle. Apparently a human had come. Now whoever they were had sprung the trap. Standing up he stretched his limbs before shifting himself into a black cat. Blinking his dark eyes he trotted into the main part of the temple the doors flying open for him without question. Finally something interesting. This human would be just what he needed to get this pesky prophecy fulfilled. How many centuries had he waited? Far too many to be sure. Slipping silently through the winding halls he followed the red gas spilling from the main chamber. Anubis positioned himself on top of a downed statue of his likeness. He narrowed his eyes briefly at the pitiful statue before he looked to the human. He purred a little to himself. She would work just fine.

  • Emma began to cough and sputter. “Darn, what is causing all of this coughing?” She grumbled to know one in particular. She then looked around to see red gas beginning to fill the room. Emma leaned against the wall, she felt weak. So this how I die, huh? Noxious gas from a few temple traps. Not bad, not-.Her thoughts were interrupted by a pain, somewhere, deep within. She clutched her sides and crouched on the ground, a deep sweat beating on her forehead. Long sleek black hair began to grow on her, and her ears started to stretch and grow pointed. “Wh-what’s happening?” She asked in confusion. Though she had been an explorer all her life, Emma had never experienced something like this. Her breathing became heavy as her hands and feet turned to paws, with sharp claws emerging. A large fluffy tail burst from behind her, and her body growing larger, All with the black hair, no, black fur beginning to form more and more. Emma’s face stretched out into a muzzle, and her teeth turned to sharp fangs as she let out a cry that soon turned into a howl. Then, silence. Emma laid on the floor in rags that were once her clothes, exhausted from the mysterious transformation that just took place.

  • The god sat perched on his own likeness to watch everything take place. Tipping his head to the side he watched in silence when it started seeming perfectly fine sitting in the red cloud of gas. Flicking his dark tail he patiently waited. It didn't take long as he would have expected. The process was of course not painless, transforming into a near animal would be extremely painful. When she dropped to the ground he let out a quiet sigh and slipped down from his place. As he walked his body sniffed and changed until he was back to his true form. The Jackal headed god crouched down near the former human looking over his own handy work. Well it had indeed worked as it was supposed to. Crouching down closer to her face he paused briefly looking towards the door she had managed to come through. To cover all possible scenarios he narrowed his eyes, a harsh wind kicking up just outside slamming the heavy doors shut. "You should be alright in a moment. Get up." Anubis barked out to the girl narrowing his eyes, the smile gone from his face leaving his face in a slight impatient scowl. He had been waiting quite a while for fate to run its course, now it finally had. "You aren't dead yet."

  • OOC: Okay I just saw your revamped form. Thank you. Sorry, I just needed to know because Anubis isn’t just a jerk especially not later on. (But you already know that since you read the plot section.)

IC: Emma lazily lifted her head up and then jolted back when she realized she was face to face with Anubis himself. “Oh my god so that was what was in that gas.” She said to herself, not believing the situation unfolding out in front of her. But the pain of the transformation felt too real to be just a hallucination. Was this really the real Anubis? Only one way to find out. “Are you, the real Anubis? I mean I know you wouldn’t be anyone else, but are you actually a real jackal headed god?” She asked. She knew she sounded just a touch bit stupid, but she tried to reason herself as much as she could. She pulled up her ragged outfit a bit to help piece it back together.

  • The god perked up his ears as she lifted her head up and they met face to face. Studying her for a moment he paused at her question. He bit back an irritated growl at her stupid question. "Yes I am." He said rather simply not bothering to elaborate any more then that. Instead he simply flicked his ears this way and that on top of his head to show that he could move his eyes easily. For good measure he also pulled back his lip to show the fangs for even further proof. Looking at the shreds of her clothes he tipped his head slightly to the side. "Have a name?" The god asked a question of his own in return for her's. Bending down Anubis lifted his clawed paw to help her to her feet again. He briefly narrowed his eyes seeing her trying to piece her tattered clothes back together. "I can just give you new clothes." He pointed out as if it was no large feat to pull clothing out of thin air, which was true for him at least. Without waiting for an answer he decided to go through with it, he had to get to more important things soon. Bringing his other paw up he placed it on her shoulder merely blinking before her old clothes began to reform themselves into a whole new set of clothing. Clothes more like what would have been seen in the ancient past then today.

  • “Oh okay. The name’s Emma Jean.” She said, responding to both statements. She then was interrupted by her clothes being magically brought back together, well sort of. They had transformed into a fancy ancient Egyptian garment. Emma was astonished, never seeing anything like it in person. “Woah, authentic Egyptian wear. Thanks.” She said, trying it on. Never knew the god of the dead had the powers of fashion. She thought to herself, amused. “So I’m not one to jump to conclusion, but I’m going to assume you’re the one who’s released the gas who turned me into this. I don’t want to question a god, but why? Why do you want me to become, well, a anthropomorphic jackal like you?” She asked.

  • The jackal headed god's mouth split into a slight smile over her astonishment of her clothes changing. Well he was a god after all, so it only made sense he could do things like this. Tipping his head to the side really he hadn't expected her to be rather casual when speaking with a god. Sighing he supposed mortals didn't have the same reverence for gods that used to. Becoming more straight face Anubis simply nodded his head to her assumptions. "I put the curse in place. You were the one who walked into it." He pointed an accusing claw her way. There had been a warning outside the temple, of course it was likely she couldn't read it. Still, he didn't seem to bother to take that as an excuse. Anubis waited for a moment before trying to give an explanation for what his purpose was. "The simplest explanation is that I need a mate and there was a prophecy involved. So you can have the honor of being the mate of a god of death. You would have anything that you want."

  • Emma noticed Anubis’s dismay at the way she was talking to him. “Sorry, I just never talked to a god before, and I didn’t want to sound like I was patronizing you.” She explained. She continued to listen as Anubis explained his plan. Her stomach sank at the realization he wanted her to be his bride. Be married to a god, and have anything I ever wanted...that’s not a bad deal. Emma thought before shaking the thought out of her head. No she couldn’t do it. She barely just knew Anubis, she couldn’t get into a long term relationship with him. “My godliness, I am very honored by your request, but I sadly cannot take it. I just feel, well, wrong about marrying a man that I’ve just met.” Emma tried to explain to the best of her ability.

  • His eyes flashed when she decided to act foolishly and turn down his offer. He had waited hundreds of years for this, maybe more, and she had the nerve to turn down the offer. An angry growl came from his throat as he dropped any pretenses of trying to stay calm and collected. "Foolish girl! You would rather throw away the opportunity of lifetime for your feelings." He hissed out the words crossing his arms over his chest eyes burning in cold fury for the former human who had decided to go against what was supposed to happen. Pulling back his lips he revealed the sharp teeth beneath. "What an ungrateful creature you are." The god turned away in sheer disgust turning his eyes away.

  • She knew he was a god, but Emma was disgusted. “Excuse me? I’M the one that’s disgraceful? Oh yeah, forgive me for not feeling comfortable for marrying a man I know nothing about! You know, I’m not sure if the gods have this or not, but us humans have something called human decency. So Yeah, forgive me for not wanting to marry a man I just met because he could’ve potentially been an arse, which guess what? He is!” She growled.

  • Shooting a glare over his shoulder the god was fighting to keep himself from physically lashing out at her. A mortal was willing to snap back at him and insult him on top of that. "You disturbed my temple and are not willing to accept the consequences from it." He growled as he looked over his shoulder his eyes burning with cold anger. The jackal headed god turned his head away closing his eyes as he tried to calm his boiling blood. Letting himself get worked up like a petty mortal would. "Good thing you found out what an arse and don't have to go through an eternity." The god stalked to other side of the temple needing space knowing he was tempted to lash out if he let his pent up frustrations out on her.

  • Emma sneered and walked off in the other direction. She had noticed that the door was locked, or more accurately blocked, so she had to find another way out. She wandered the hallways, looking from room to room, both for an exit but also to explore this ancient temple. She wanted to get her mind off of Anubis, as insulting a god was sure to get her in trouble, but she just had to. She had to stand her ground against him.

  • His ears moved to follow her movements as she walked away from him. This made him growl a little more angry that she had the nerve to walk away although it was probably better that he didn't have to be in her presence anymore. Turning his head around as he felt the sudden urge to go after her, not to apologize or anything like that, but to insure that she did not meddle in his temple. Closing his eyes he waited until she was out of sight before letting his form bend and shift back into the small unassuming guise of a cat. Trotting forwards into the darkness he followed her in silent movements. He studied her every movement wondering what was the reason for her being destined to come here. Her of all mortals. Narrowing his amber eyes he stalked along behind her. He would be hard-pressed to not find amusement in the way she was clearly lost among the winding halls.

  • Emma sauntered through the hallways, until she realized something. What am I doing? Even if I find a way out, where would I go? I’m not human anymore, and it’s obviously dangerous for a jackal woman to be out in the open, so what would I even do? She thought to herself, conflicted. She sighed, annoyed. Guess I have to stay here for the night until I can figure out what to do. Thankfully, her prayers had been answered as to her right was a room. Emma peaked inside and realized it was a bedroom. It looked too small to be the bedroom of a god like Anubis, but it was still a fair size, so she assumed it was some sort of guest room. Emma walked inside and began to look around a bit more.

  • The disguised god followed her along seeming bored with her endless meandering until she stopped to look in one room. Blinking Anubis trotted after her seeming curious of the room himself. Even though he knew this temple very well there were still things that managed to surprise him. The temple was built for him, not by him. Pesky humans had probably put this room here just for whoever they thought was prophesied to become his mate. Pausing in the door the black cat sighed before the cat leapt on to the bed making himself known to her. Still in his shifted form he sprawled out on the bed glaring up at the female as if to claim the room as his own room. He didn't need or even want the room, but he was rather bitter over her refusal of his proposal, so he was determined to cause her inconveniences any way physically possible. Petty? Yes very. But, he didn't bother to acknowledge this fact.
