Emma Jean walked into the Temple of Anubis. Although she was a proffessional, she couldn’t help but to look with awe. Ever since she was a little kid she had wanted to go to Egypt, not only because she was part Egyptian, but also because she loved Egyptian history and mythology, though she was a little rusty on both, what with her main focus being on exploration and adventure and all that. Emma laughed to herself as she was dumbstruck by all of hieroglyphics, architecture, GOLD. Though she was a bit suspicious as to why there were no traps. Then again, no one had ever stepped into the temple, not even Ancient Egyptians, though that was still odd as well. Emma stopped looking for a middle and stopped at the crowning jewel in the middle of the room; a large statue of Anubis, attatched to the wall, as tall as the room, with glowing golden eyes. It was beautiful. Emma couldn’t help but to marvel at its craftsmanship. It was funny, as it’s eyes kind of reminded Emma of her own striking green eyes. After a while, Emma moved away from the statue and began investigating the rest of the room, not noticing red gas coming out of the statue’s mouth.
Plot:
Emma Jean, an explorer, has traveled to the Temple of Anubis, a temple no human has ever stepped foot in, and said to belong to the Egyptian jackal god of death himself. As she begins to explore, Emma unknowingly unleashes a curse that ends up turning her into an anthropomorphic jackal woman. After the transformation is complete, she comes across Anubis himself who tells her that he put that curse on the temple so that anyone who steps inside would be his mate, in order to fulfill a specific and mysterious prophecy. Anubis then begins to try to woo Emma with jewels, riches, outfits, and his godly powers. While charmed, Emma tells Anubis that she doesn’t want to marry a man she just met. This causes Anubis to lash out, resulting in the two of them arguing and bickering. However, they learn that they still have to live with each other since Emma can’t find the way out, and even if she did she did, where would she, a now jackal woman, go in a world of unknowing and scared humans? Over the course of days, Anubis realizes that the only way to get a mate is by being kind, so he starts to act nicer to Emma. While not trying to woo her intentionally at this point, Emma ends up developing a crush on Anubis and helps him out with his manners. Now the two live happily together, in love, as the god and goddess of death.
(The thread will start off when Emma first enters the temple.)
Rules:
1. If you couldn’t tell, the other person in this thread will be playing as Anubis.
2. Nothing too inappropriate.
3. No fighting OOC.
4. No godmodding, Mary Sues, or other OP characters. Even gods need to be balanced.
5. The two most popular depictions of Anubis is either a human with a jackal’s head, or anthropomorphic jackal. The Anubis in this thread is the anthropomorphic jackal one.
6. While I am fine with Anubis shapeshifting, NO human form, only because some people playing as a character with a human form will play as the human form the majority of the time.
7. If you’re playing as Anubis, I would prefer if you know at least a bit about Egyptian Mythology and Egyptian culture.
8. While this is a PAFP thread, I might add more people if Anubis and Emma ever have pups.
9. While Anubis is thousands, possibly even millions or billions of years old, I would prefer if, in human years, he’s the same age as Emma.
10. Let me know if you have any questions, comments, or concerns.
11. Write “Anubis Lives” in Other if you read all of the rules.

Name: Emma Jean
Age: 31
Gender: Cisgender Female
Personality: Emma is definetly an adrenaline junkie. She loves the taste of adventure and is incredibly brave, always willing to try new things. She’s always honest and feels the need to speak her mind, even if it’s the wrong time. She has more mundane moments like reading and prefers guys with intelligence and good morals than guys who are buff and have a lot of money. (Though having all four wouldn’t be a bad deal.) She’s snarky, witty, aggressive, protective, and loyal to the very end. She has her soft moments too, as she deeply cares about the people she makes connections to.
Likes: Adventure, Anything new, Animals, Shiny Things, Books, Comfortable Spaces, Sleeping, History, Mythology, Anything involving fantasy
Dislikes: Animals that come in obnoxious swarms (Locusts, Spiders, etc.), Tight Spaces, Drowning, Being Patronized, Anything overly spicy, Anything bland
Other: Anubis Lives
