The golden blue tabby had an intuition for knowledge, and so, she had been in the library. She staggered up the steps to get a book, one eye focused, one eye not. She nearly fumbled, letting our what could be described as a yelp before continuing. With narrow eyes and a sense of perseverance, she yanked a book off before falling down the stairs. A sigh escaped the young kitten. But, hey! Neve’s gotten a book! Not like she knew how to read, but this was a good start. She clutched it, wobbling out of the library. It fell as she fell over a rock, the title visible. Night by Elie Wiesel.

♥ One would think Rosie, with all of her time cooped up, was able to learn to read and write as fast as her much smarter sister, but no. Instead, the albino spent her time moping about her sickness and wondering when the next trip into the outside world would be. She enjoyed it so much, seeing the sun filter through the leaves, smelling the scents that the redwoods had to offer. She only got the experience once in a while, and cherished it each and every chance she got. In fact, this moment was one of those moments that she was able to be outside.
She watched Neve trip and stopped herself from laughing. Falling on one's face was unfortunate, but in such a case, she found it a little funny. The girl used her limited amounts of energy to pull her thin body towards her older (by a few moments) sister, head tilted once she got close enough, "A book? You already kn-know how to read, Neve?" she asked, slightly jealous of her sister's accomplishments. But, to be honest, when was she not jealous of the half blind feline?

❝ Samuel usually stayed away from the library. He had never really learned how to read books, but here recently he had been making an effort to learn after the majority of his clanmates read everything. Today though, was not a 'reading' day for him.
The feline was sprawled out, enjoying the warmth that the sun was offering today. Sam heard a tumbling noise, and opened one eye. Shit, that kid fell he thought, rolling over and forcing himself to stand. He would quickly hurry over, stopping in front of her. "You okay kid?" he asked, tilting his head. His gaze fell down to look at the book He was pretty sure it read Night. Huh, what a strange name for a book. ❞

「 you’ll be a place of hope for hopeless — where faith is born and peace is sown 」 Hearing the laughter of her sister, Neve plopped her face up. Oh! Rosie was out! She stood up, in a few moments, in shock, staring at the frail albino. Usually Vati and Mama didn’t let her out, she was usually inside because she got sick easily. It took her a few moments to focus on Rosangel’s question. Her teal gaze turned to the book beneath her and she shook her head. "No. I just want to learn how to."
Then came Samuel. She watched the bi-color cat move from his sunning area quickly over to her. Having already gotten up, the kitten nodded and grinned.
"Yessir, I’m fine."

The feline purred in general happiness as she spotted Samuel from afar. He would have made a good father- er, wait. He was a father. Though, she didn't know what happened to their kits he was a dad to some other kids. Which, was uncomfortable to think about but she was getting use to the fact he had kids that were not hers. Dreamseeker made her way over and gave her... boyfriend? Gave him a gentle smile as she looked at the kits, "So we have some book worms?"

♥ Rose watched her sister basically dust herself off, a small smile on her face. Oh, so she hadn't learned yet, "Oh! Can we l-learn together, then?" she hoped Neve would say yes. After all, it was something she could probably do, given her circumstances. The young girl glanced towards Samuel and Dreamseeker, watching them cautiously before glancing back towards her sister. Hopefully, Neve could answer them just fine.
