So, My Character has moved to the 13th Ward alongside her father. Seeing how, in this universe, the place is still ripe with Ghoul activity and needs the extra manpower. It's a few weeks in and she meets Your Character, an actual ghoul that the young woman assumes is merely a regular human going through a rough patch. Everything goes well until My Girl's father is pursuing Your Character.

Here's a picture of Ishida Norida (My Girl):

I need your opinion. Is this a good picture for her?

  • Her personality:

How they should meet? Either Akemi approaches Ishida with ulterior motives (At first) or he appears in bad enough shape that warrants her concern.

  • Hmm...Would you mind starting us off, my friend? Chelsea recently turned 17, btw.

  • Akemi sat on the stairs of the school, his long legs pulled up by his chest, his elbows resting on his knees. The students poured all around him, giving him a few feet between him and them. Akemi sighed, touching his cheekbone and flinching. The dark bruise that lay there throbbed intensely. Marks like these were all too common with him. Most assumed they were from fights, and that wasn't exactly wrong. They were from fights, it's just that those fights involved Doves and ghouls. Nobody knew he was 'The Fox'. Not even his mother or little sister.

  • Unbeknownst to the young man on the steps, another student reached down to gently touch his back. Enough to get his attention for what she had to say. This student? Ishida Norida. A fairly recent edition to the school's attendees. "Excuse me." she piped up. Rather unsure of the right thing to say. How exactly to word her question without getting a hostile response.

"I was just wondering...About...Are you okay?" God, she had never been good with making conversation.

  • Akemi jumped when his back was touched, about the area where his ukaku kagune would be. On instinct, he turned around and stood, the way he would if he was being attacked. In this case, the 'attacker' was the new girl. He towered over her at 6'4", and the previous threat was gone.

"H-hey." Akemi said, surprised. He cleared his throat, appalled that she was talking to him. She'd only been at this school for a while, but she seemed to keep to herself. "Yeah, I'm fine, thank you. May I ask your name?" He asked, readjusting his uniform jacket.

  • Ishida let out a surprised noise as she staggered back; A peculiar mix between a squeak and a squeal. Luckily for herself, she managed to keep from falling and cracking her head open on the stairs. Wow, the boy was tall! She blinked before answering him. After all, she started this conversation. "My name? Norida Ishida." The young woman assumed he'd know her as the new girl. Everyone else seemed to.

  • Akemi smiled slightly at her, a calm easy-going smile, his bright green eyes warm. "Woah, easy there." When he heard her name, he smiled wider. "Pretty name." He said, sticking his hands in his pockets. Then he realized he hadn't told her his name. "Mines Katou, Akemi Katou."

  • Ishida nodded at his introduction. Silent for a moment while she thought of her next words. He still piqued her concern and curiosity. What with all the bruises she could see from a glance. No...No, she wouldn't press. That wasn't polite. "You're...You're tall!" Oh, how Ishida wanted to slap herself. The girl's brain went with the first random thing it could muster.

  • Akemi smiled. It was clear this girl was either not good at conversation, or nervous. Or both. He chuckled. "Yeah, I suppose. Most people wouldn't believe that a few years ago I was shorter than you." He said, his voice was soft and warm, trying to calm Ishida.
