  • TAGS ✦ ✧ ✦ — Ravenkit was not a normal kitten by any means. She was eerie, a perfect paragon yet with a stony face and a dull shadow constantly hovering in her haunting amber eyes. She hid in the darkness, she sat in the corner, and she kept to herself, but there was something dark within her. She had taken an early interest to corpses, and any mealtime she would cut her mice into pieces and inspect the pieces of tissue one by one. She would take mental snapshots of the organs, and look for them in other animals, always discovering something new in the process. This was her hobby, and she was proud of it, unnaturally so. Perhaps this was why she proceeded to do so in clear daylight, where anyone could see her slowly cut apart the bloated flesh of a mouse, having inflated a few days after it's death. It was close to exploding from the gas buildup by now, and Ravenkit was slowly letting the thing air out. She was not nauseous by the smell of death personally, but she knew her clanmates were sometimes weak-willed and they would likely not appreciate her operating on a freshly aerated mouse. Tapping her claws against the stone just beneath her and getting lulled along by the sound of the rushing river, the dark kitten endured the scent and glanced about with a look of boredom glittering in her haunting amber eyes.

  • Cloudbelly was a new warrior, but she wasn't newly oblivious. She wasn't really anything other tahn oblivious mostly. Death was something she didn't much care about or notice, she didn't understand it and it hadn't been brought up in her face yet. Cloudy didn't seem to understand why whatever Ravenkit had been doing could be seen as wrong, instead her deep copper eyes shined with happiness as she padded up to the little kit.

Her paws could be heard as she walked up behind the kit. As her eyes settled on the kit, dissecting some fresh-kill, she honestly didn't feel anything other than interest and pure joy. " Hey, kit." she mewed, her thick tail leaning down to pat Ravenkit on her back and flank, looking warmly down at the kit until her eyes moved towards the poor mouse. " What are you doing? That looks cool!" she murmured, a bit confused as to why the kit wasn't eating the freshkill instead of just cutting it up, but nonetheless looking happy.

  • TAGS ✦ ✧ ✦ — It wasn’t nescessarily a ‘bad’ action; well, nothing was really too bad to the kitten. Her morals told her this was correct and right and there were no qualms to be had with it, so she continued, and it didn’t matter what anyone else thought about it. Her paws still scuffled gently against the warm sand beneath her paws as she waited for the mouse to completely drain of the noxious gases that it had once harboured. Two more shuffles beside her and suddenly a much larger cat had taken up a vigil at her side. Cloudbelly touched her flank with a gentle caress and Ravenkit could feel her skin erupt into a painful fire wherever her presence lingered on her fur. Instinctively she flinched away and her once bored, open eyes grew steely and cold.

"Just looking," she answered vaguely, frowning and avoiding the gaze of the warrior.

  • "THE MUTE" - Rosekit - 04 months - Selectively Mute - Female

While roe tried her best not to judge the kit... that was gross. She was fine with the cutting it up part... but it was nearly crow-food at this point! Why would Ravenkit even tough it, let alone play with it? Wrinkling her velvety nose, she'd turn pale yellow optics away, remaining in her sunny patch nearby as she continued cleaning the dust from her slim tail.

  • Bluekit wasn't one to complain about what others ate or how they ate it considering her daily meal consisted of her own species, but slicing up a mouse until it was nothing but a pile of fur, torn limbs, and sliced organs - was that even tasty? Bluekit despised the taste of freshkill, but she could only imagine eating it like that. The thought almost made her gag. "Didn't your mother teach you to not play with your food?" she couldn't help but ask, wrinkling her nose at Ravenkit's gorey artwork. She wasn't necessarily disgusted, but she did find it a bit disturbing to say the least. Yeah, you're one to talk, Bluekit!

  • TAGS ✦ ✧ ✦ — Now cats were crowding around her. Ravenkit, even despite exuding her clearly eerie and spooky aura, turned out to be the center of attention and she didn’t like it one bit. While her fur did not bristle and her apathetic face did not move, she instinctively curled closer to her experiment and looked Wiley at it, nearly ignoring Rosekit and Bluekit in the process. How rude of her, Ravenkit could already hear her mother’s voice echoing in her head. Something burned bright in Raven’s deep, haunting amber eyes as she stared directly at Bluekit, unblinking. "No. She’s dead. She doesn’t say much anymore," Ravenkit revealed lowly, and her droning voice tipped off at the end, either in glee or melancholy. She turned back to the mouse and made another incision in it’s side then took a moment to remove the liver. She inspected it closely, angling herself so that she would not cast a shadow on her prey.

  • you can't be me, not in your wildest fantasy

it's childish, should i have to resort to violence? tags

the two were different in pelt color, that was the first observation she could make. ravenkit was dark as night, yet snowkit was snow white, but perhaps their personalities weren't as dissimilar as their pelts. she'd make her way idly beside her sister, blue optics latched onto ravenkit in silent wonder. if she thought the dissection disgusting, it didn't show in her unwavering gaze. "hello, i am snowkit," she'd blink calmly, speaking directly to the kit as she worked. "what have you learned about the mouse, since you decided to cut it up?"
