Sagepaw sat by the river, waiting for her mentor to arrive. No other cats seemed to be around, as it was cold and rainy. She felt grateful for her thick pelt, though she knew it would weigh her down in the water. She had not been born of Riverclan, and as a kittypet she had been much better suited. She hissed under her breath, wondering if her mentor would always be so late to their training.
