The sun creeped up from the horizon, beginning to shine on the mountainous forest and offering what little warmth it could during the cold of leafbare. A bright red she-cat had exited a hole in a somewhat large tree only moments ago, her breath a small cloud in front of her face. Her paws carefully treaded the cold terrain and she could feel her fur fluffing out in a feeble attempt at keeping her warm. Her short pelt had never been much good at keeping the cold out, but now she was on her own and she couldn’t worry about such things.

Stepping on cold rocks, she recoiled slightly, having left the relative safety of the dry grass. She rolled her eyes at her hesitance to touch something cold and continued on her way. StarClan had told her to find cats, and so that’s what she had gone to do. Her nose quickly guided her to the cave - great, more cold - as it detected blood. What this blood belonged to, she was unsure, so she crept forward cautiously. As she did so, a large cat with two kits by his side came into view, and she gasped in shock, temporarily unsure of what to do.

    “What happened?”

    Diamond

    She-Cat | Wandering Kittypet | 16 Moons | Mate: Open | Crush: Open

As the sun shone on her face, Diamond flinched slightly. The outside was cold, far colder than she’d initially thought, and she no longer had her warm twoleg den to protect her from the outside. Still, she’d made up her mind that she wouldn’t return and be forced to kit. She would adapt. She would figure out how to survive, and she would then thrive in the hostile new environment. She stretched and rose to her paws so that she could devote a long time to grooming her fur. Just because she had to learn how to survive in the wild didn’t mean she had to have her coat a mess.

    Ariel

    Tom | Loner | 6 Moons | Crush: Open

There was no snow that morning, for which Ariel was grateful. He looked down from his perch, having taken refuge in a tree that night, and now he kept a watchful eye for prey - or other cats. He hoped for the former and dreaded the chance of the latter. There was no point in worrying about it though, and so he made quick and careful work of using branches to aid him in his descent. Checking the scents in the air, he grimaced. There was a rabbit in a den somewhere nearby, but he could also smell other cats. He would have to head for the rabbit quickly - but quietly, though it was likely asleep due to the cold - if he wanted to avoid cats trying to take his prey.

*:・゚✦ Curled up around his sibling, Pluto's gaze slowly blinked open, gaze taking in the surrounding of the cave he had managed to find for him and Nova. But, he had no time for dawdling. Instead, he pressed his muzzle against his brothers flank. " Nova, you have to get up now. We can't stay we need to keep moving and find some food in this weather." He waited until Nova showed signs if being awake before leaving

But I can't tell you that I'm breaking slowly

    Nova / Gildedclan & Loner / Male / tags & information

*:・゚✦ Truthfully, the tom had been having a rough night, nightmares affecting his sweet dreams, it wasn't fun. But, like most things, Nova kept silent and had spent the time pretending to be asleep. He didn't dare tell Pluto, knowing that Pluto would just dote on him and worry. He knew his brother cared about him, but like most things, he didn't know how to deal with that.

The silver tabby watched his brother leave their secluded cave, lurking behind for a while before following after Pluto, feeling his stomach begin to ache.

    "Speech."

I know I got a big ego, I really don't know why its such a big deal though

    Romeo / Gildedclan & Kittypet / Male / tags & information

*:・゚✦ Sitting along the fence between his twolegplace, Romeo watched with a curious expression, finally letting out a huff as he mused to himself. "Oh cruel fate, my beloved had ditched her life here to live a life of danger!" Amber eyes continued to analyze the terrain before looking back at his home. "What a mistake to make, not only has Diamond shattered my heart but would rather be killed then live our life of peace! I feel bad that she failed to see my magnificence!"" Most cats would think they were dumb for talking to themselves, but to Romeo, it was like poetry.

He hopped off the fence, landing with a soft thump in the snow. His pelt bristled from the cold before reentering his twolegs home, truly something inspiring will spark him again later.

    "Speech."

  • Draco - Loner - Male

Draco was asleep in the hollow of a fallen tree, sheltered from the cold weather as much as possible. His previous home had been warmer, with lots of soft moss for his nest, but that group of rogues had chased him out. Stretching, Draco woke up. He was hungry, but it was hard to find food while the ground was covered in snow. Slowly, he crept outside of the log he made his home in. He missed his friend, Laslow. It was warmer sleeping next to another cat, and it was easier to hunt with two. But Laslow was gone. Draco had no idea where the older tom was, and it was unlikely he would ever see him again.

    Laslow - Kittypet - Male / Soleil - Kittypet - Female

"Soleil. It's time to wake up. We're leaving now." Laslow said, patiently waiting for his friend to rouse from her sleep.

"Hmm...?" Soleil yawned as she woke up. "Oh! We're really going today?" She got up from the soft bed her twolegs had bought for her, and looked around the nest where she had lived for as long as she could remember. "I feel bad. My housefolk are going to miss me." She said softly. She shook her head. "No, we have to go. You belong in the woods. And I'm not letting you go alone." Laslow was Soleil's only friend. Yes, there was the neighbor cat who she sometimes spoke to through her window, but Soleil felt a real connection to Laslow. She couldn't just leave him. Or, rather, let him leave her.

"I wouldn't have it any other way." Laslow purred. In the two months he lived with Soleil, he had grown quite attached to her. He felt a familial bond with the dilute tortoiseshell, as if she was his daughter. He wanted to protect her, not to flirt with her or anything else he would do with another she cat. Soleil was his friend, no, she was his family, biologically or not. "I couldn't leave you behind no matter what. I'd drag you out of this nest if I needed to!" He said, brushing up against his friend. "Now, let's go." He said, jumping up on the windowsill like Soleil had taught him to. She followed suit, helping to squeeze open the window. It was a tight fit for Laslow, but he landed outside of the nest in mere moments, Soleil jumping down next to him. Now all they needed to do was pass the fence surrounding the nest, and they'd be on their way to the woods where Laslow was born, and more importantly, where Laslow's lost friend, Draco, was.

Soleil felt the eyes of another cat watching she and Laslow. She ignored the sensation, and hurried to the fence, jumping up, beckoning for Laslow to follow. "To our true home!" Soleil said with enthusiasm, trying to cover up her own nerves.

  • Tansy shook herself off with a stretch, slinking out of her twolegplace to the fragrant herb garden outside. The brisk air stung her eyes as she rubbed against the soft prickles of a tangy smelling bush. With a practiced leap, Tansy leapt to the top of her twolegplace's fence, settling down on the white cold wood. What could she do today? It was too cold to be out for long, even her whiskers felt frozen!

  • Diamond

    She-Cat | Wandering Kittypet | 16 Moons | Mate: Open | Crush: Open

Diamond's ears perked having heard two other cats, and she began to realize she was probably near a different twolegplace Uncharacteristically wary, she approached quietly, trying to watch from whatever cover she could find. They also seemed to be escaped kittypets. That had to be a good thing, right? Meeting other cats who were used to the comfort their housefolk provided? She decided it had to be, and that she would do her best to make a good impression.

"Hello! Who might you two be? My name is Diamond," she introduced, stepping out from her hiding place so that she was facing them directly.

    Ariel

    Tom | Loner | 6 Moons | Crush: Open

The scent of rabbit took him closer to the scent of cats, and Ariel found himself creeping more carefully than he did when he was looking for prey. He scanned the area carefully, watching for the other cats who were bound to show up. He almost considered giving up the rabbit, as easy as it would be, so that he could easily avoid the strangers. His stomach protested the thought. He would have to keep going. The rabbit's den, if his nose was to be trusted, was at the base of a tree. Indeed, the only reason he caught the scent was the rabbit seemed to have woken up earlier - probably startled awake by something - and knocked its scent downwind where the black and white tom had been.

  • Laslow - Kittypet - Male / Soleil - Kittypet - Female

The pair jumped down from the fence, only to be confronted by another cat mere moments after landing on the ground. The she cat seemed friendly enough, but Laslow wouldn't let the other cat, presumably also a kittypet outside of her nest, distract them from their goal, so he'd try to make it quick. "Oh, hello. My name is Laslow. My companion here is Soleil." He said to Diamond as she stepped out.

Soleil nodded. "It's nice to meet you, Diamond." She added. She thought it was great to meet another cat, considering the only other cats she knew were her mother, Laslow, and the neighbor cat back home. Even so, she could tell that Diamond was a kittypet as well. She seemed well groomed, too well-groomed for a wild cat. "Are you from this twolegplace too?" She questioned.

    Draco - Loner - Male

Draco sniffed the air, checking for any scent of prey. He couldn't really pick out much, every scent was muddled with the scent of snow. But, he picked up the faint trace of mouse, and began to follow it, hoping for signs that the mouse was nearby. The scent trail led to a bush, covered in snow, that in warmer weather would sprout berries. Beneath the bush was a growth of some sort of plant, completely unaffected by the weather. It was a plant with wide leaves with a fuzzy appearance. Sniffing the leaves, he found no more trace of the mouse, but he noted the location of the leaves, curious about them for reasons unknown to him.

  • Diamond

    She-Cat | Wandering Kittypet | 16 Moons | Mate: Open | Crush: Open

Diamond turned to look at the twolegplace, then looked back at the other two cats. "No, I've been traveling for about a day," she answered. "May I ask, do you two have a destination in mind?" She didn't have anywhere to go, and so she hoped she could tag along with the other cats in the case that they actually had an idea as to where they were headed. She temporarily considered simply finding a new twoleg nest to stay in, but the idea didn't appeal to her and she quickly discarded it.

  • "If you can't stand, the way this place is, take yourself to higher places! "

    Pluto /Gildedclan & Loner / Male/ tags & information

*:・゚✦ Unbeknownst to Pluto, his brother had run off elsewhere, most likely hunting but still. Pluto would appreciate it if Nova rood him, it gave him much less stress. So, turning around and finding that his sibling was gone, made his fur stand on end. Opening his maw, he started the search.

    "Speech."

"But I can't tell you that I'm breaking slowly"

    Nova / Gildedclan & Loner / Male / tags & information

*:・゚✦ Wandering around, barely getting away from his older brother. Nova preferred solitude above all, it was quite important to him. Scenting a rabbit, he moved to go search for it, but nose crinkled at scenting other cats. Immediately, the cat took cover, ducking under a bush that was nearby, peeking out and catching a glimpse of another cat, searching for the rabbit near the tree. They scowled, leaving his hiding place to speak up.

"Hello, I see you and I are searching for the same thing... "

    "Speech."

The crisp air left her nose cold, her black ears twitching at the slight breeze. Curse this weather, a climate she had yet to adjust to, but as if she'd allow it to distract her. Instead she gasped open her mouth, allowing the coolness to waft some scents to her. Well there wasn't much yet that detour her. She continued to travel upwind, taking in any scent she could find. A few cats caught her attention, but it wasn't enough to warrant her attention. Prey, she told herself. She and her companion needed to eat this morning.

    ❀○ DAWN || ROGUE || 45 moons || TAGS: none ○❀

While his short tortie friend wandered for a food source, this tom wandered from her. He didn't try to travel far. While he had been instructed to find prey, he appeared distracted. There were far more interesting scents, ones of a feline kind. And he followed them with kind. But then he could hear his lovely sister scoffing. Thus he would just linger in the brush, scouting out these strangers.

  • Ariel

    Tom | Loner | 6 Moons | Crush: Open

Ariel jumped, not having expected to be directly spoken to. He glanced towards the tree where the rabbit hid, then back at the cat, narrowing his eyes. "It seems so." The tip of his tail twitched as he waited to see what this cat would do. Were they looking for a fight, or would they find a compromise? He wasn't sure how he felt about that, given the current conditions. They carried the slight scent of another cat, and Ariel hesitated.

"Well," he began, thinking, "I suppose we'll have to figure out what to do about that."

  • "But I can't tell you that I'm breaking slowly"

    Nova / Gildedclan & Loner / Male / tags & information

*:・゚✦ The loner contemplated what to do about this dilemma, hazel eyes never leaving the other before finally they sighed. "No it's all yours... We'd have to split it 3 ways anyway, since I have my older sibling lurking nearby. That wouldn't be fair to you." Tale lashed in indignation, looking around in case Pluto was near, but it looked like the grey cat wasn't near.

"But I'm Nova, who are you?."

    "Speech."

  • Ariel

    Tom | Loner | 6 Moons | Crush: Open

He looked at the other cat in surprise, not having expected the outcome. "I'm Ariel," he answered somewhat hesitantly. He blinked his heterochromatic eyes, thinking for a few seconds. "If there are two of you, you may want to take that rabbit. It must be harder trying to hunt in a group, I'll manage something else."

The tom was shaken awake, causing him to hasily jump to his paws. He could faintly smell other cats nearby, but it didn't bother him much as he figured they were just Kittypets. Jupiter had met a she-cat at sunhigh yesterday, and it seemed as if he could trust her. "Ready to go?" Maria's soft voice disrupted his thoughts, causing his muscles to relax as he looked over at her.

With a brief nod, he attempted to flatten his mussed ginger pelt. They were located in the hollow of a tree, and obvious spot, behind a twoleg nest. Jupiter could still remember how little he felt when he left his twolegs a ways back. It had nearly been a moon since then, and he found living on his own rather peaceful.

Maria had been up for sometime before deciding to wake her companion. They needed to get moving soon. Her stomach growled, reminding her that they needed to eat. She stifled a laugh, remembering when she had stumbled upon Jupiter attempting to catch a mouse. He wouldn't have survived long on his own.

As the other groomed his own pelt, Maria rose to her paws and exited the tree. The twoleg nest nearby was a bright yellow, and had a white picket fence around the yard. There was a cat sitting on it, gazing out in their direction. Figuring that there was no true risk in her actions, she approached the feline. "Hello!"

  • ❀○ DUSK || ROGUE || 31 moons || TAGS: none ○❀

Her nose twitched at the smell of strangers. Still there wasn't much concern for them. Food was priority. Luckily a squirrel was able to catch her attention. She followed its scent til the ginger rodent was in sight. Crouched low, little paws crept forward. Yet, as she went to pounce, it finally seemed to take notice of the she-cat. The squirrel bolted for the nearest tree, the rogue right on its tail. In fact, she went to reach her claws out as it climbed up, barely nicking the bushy fur. Unfortunately it got away as it disappeared into the branches. "Dang it!" Dusk cursed. A solid hiss spat out of the tortie as she began a new hunt.

As big of a cat he was, he was fairly graceful with his movements. Still he practically frolicked through the brush. But as he neared what looked to be the borders of a twolegs' place, he slowed. His blue eyes captured movement of a couple darling felines. Enchanted (as though that was difficult), he stepped out of the line of trees with a happy "Hello!" in greeting. Then he daringly leaped onto the fence... with a misjudgment of need for balance. As soon as his large body was atop, he didn't quite count for gravity as he soon found himself on the ground on the opposite side.

  • Tansy perked up at the newcomers, back starting to raise before a loud flop from the fence next door. Narrowing her eyes, she settled back down, ears flicking in amusement at the larger cat. "...Hello." She tried, responding back to the two cats forest side, "You two friends of uh..." Tansy nodded toward the larger kittypet.

The former kittypet hesitantly stepped forward at Maria's signal. As he watched the cats in front of him, he instantly put his walls up. He had been able to trust Maria because she practically saved his life. "Hi." Jupiter briefly mewed, earning a eye roll from Maria, "I'm Jupiter." The was an edge in the tone of his voice, hoping to get the message across to not mess with either him, or Maria. "Well," The mentioned molly began, flashing a smile at the other cats, "What are you doing out here?"

Maria chuckled as she watched the large tom fall off the fence. "No, actually." She hadn't noticed that Jupiter was trailing behind her, obviously bored. "I'm Maria." Her voice was calm, almost as if she had known these cats all of her life. While she rested her paws on the fence to watch the fallen forest cat, she motioned for Jupiter to step forward. As he spoke, she figured that the fallen tom had a likable personality, seeing as he took his fall seemingly with grace. However, she could always be wrong.

  • "I think I can enjoy the view from my own fence can't I?" Tansy bit back at Jupiter, with a huff and a curl of her lip. She softened up a bit as the molly spoke up, sinking her claws into the damp wood of the picket fence. She glanced at the fallen cat, she could just go back inside to her warm nest. Ignore these three and probably be better off for it. But, curiosity killed the cat. "Name's Tansy." It slipped out of the small tabby gruffly.
