THEY CALL KIDS LIKE US VICIOUS AND CARVED OUT OF STONE

Another week another meeting. It was time to get the clan together and talk abnout all the usual crap like always. This week though there were some things to look forward to, and I was glad to announce them. With swift, purposeful steps I made my way across the courtyard- the was free of snow and bright with afternoon sunlight- and lept up onto the stone rim of the fountain at it's center. "Rogues, gather for the weekly meeting!" I called, eager to see the turnout this week.

BUT FOR WHAT WE'VE BECOME WE JUST FEEL MORE ALONE

PLEASE NOTE;; Fourthwall is known to break the 4th wall, as his name suggests. He is a person who -instead of gods or reincarnation- thinks that he is just a character made up in a story, and so nothing he says or does has any real consequence. This allows him to suppress emotions like guilt or hesitation in order to enrich his life, as he believes that nobody is actually real, and so none of the bad things he does to others in order to enjoy himself are real either. He will often refer to his 'Writer' during 1st person posts and complain about the way they write him or his story, and is convinced that the entire world and FF's reality is just some big story.

  • Ah, Kayn felt good to be back on top of things. The wolf of starless nights had prided himself on keeping up to date with things, helping the clan wherever possible, and of course showing up first to meetings. In his absence Crownpaw had taken up the mantle of duties, but now Kayn was back in action and ready to prove himself as he'd always done. The wolf was incredibly pleased with what he'd managed to accomplish since coming back, especially in regards to the Sanguine Ruins and Colour Command.

That didn't mean it was time to stop though. There was always more to be done. More people to befriend or manipulate, more enemies to kill, and more allies to secure. That's what the meetings were for. They give people direction when they needed it and updated the clan on recent events. That was why the demon wolf had shown up first to the meeting now that his soul burned with the intense fire to prove his worth to his mentor, and the rest of the clan at large. Kayn had already done enough that his place was unquestionable, but that didn't mean the young wolf was content. Courtesy of being born to a lineage that had done great things and being trained by two individuals who had achieved equally amazing goals, few things would satisfy the shadowy lupine.

The ebony wolf sat down on his haunches comfortably, dipping his head in a respectful bow to Fourthwall. "Present, Master. I'm interested to hear what this meeting holds in store, considering recent events," Kayn mentioned with a steady, intense voice before casting his gaze around to view who might arrive next. The Blackheart Rogues had done well in growing members recently, but it was the meetings that usually showed which of them would stick around.

  • i know i should walk away, know i should walk away

but i just want to let you break my brain ———

Virgil was quick to arrive to the meeting. He hadn't been around as much as he should have been, but a meeting was important and he knew he needed to show up, despite his lack of activity otherwise.

    "speech"

  • Robin, too, made haste to join the gathering crowd, curious once more to see what news Fourthwall had to share with them. The last meeting had been rather dull, and gone on for what felt like an absolute eternity, but maybe something more interesting would come about this time around? He doubted it - he was hard to entertain when it came to things like this - but he would listen nevertheless. ""

    we'll never grow!

。・゚゚・ Yay. Meeting. She came, but took her time. She was surprised to see she wasn't the last one to arrive, and lifted her feet into a hover. "Here."

  • OSRIC !

Osric was, as usual, spending the afternoon looking after the garden, but set down his watering can upon seeing Fourth hop up onto the fountain edge and trotted over to follow suit. Spring had arrived and the ground was no longer hidden under a blanket of snow; soon, the courtyard would be in full bloom.

In the meantime, though, there was a meeting to be held. Osric watched as his friends and fellow rogues gathered, ready for Fourth to begin speaking.

*:・゚✦ Roman hadn't been too active the last couple days but he showed up nonetheless. It wasn't like he would just skip a meeting, they were important. The hellhound spotted his brother in the group and sat down beside him with a smile.

    "Speech."

  • 「 i am a question to the world

not an answer to be heard 」

The call for a meeting snapped Crown out of his nap. He stretched and got to his paws before walking down and joining the rest, nodding up to his uncle. The Helljaguar took a seat beside Kayn, flopping downnas if he was going to go right back to sleep. He was tired today but didn’t know why. Maybe it was just one of those days. As Kayn spoke up to their leader, Crown gave him a playful flick of his tail. “When did you become a walking dictionary?” Crown asked with a teasing tone, a smirk on his dark face. It was weird to hear his blood brother talk like that, but Fourth was his mentor. Maybe that was how they addressed each other... weird.

  • talyn fluttered over to their father, chirping softly in his ear as they settled on his shoulder. they peered up at fourthwall, tilting their head in order to catch their leader's words.

  • DEATH WOULD BE A RELEASE

Deathstroke prowled over and seated himself down near the others as he prepared to hear the points of the meeting. Though his mind was still set on thoughts regarding the Sanguine Ruins, primarily on his infiltration mission to come. He had a busy time ahead it seemed, and he wanted to make a good effort to ensure it all went well.

  • HYPNOTHERAPY —

"Hypno's here!" Meowed the ghoul-vampire as she trampled over happily, sitting beside her father, nuzzling his side affectionately before lying down to wait for the meeting to start.

THEY CALL KIDS LIKE US VICIOUS AND CARVED OUT OF STONE

I was pleased to see that the clan was still alive and thriving. I knew all too well how quickly the tables could turn from week to week and to see a crowd gathered beneath me was enough to prop the corner of my lips up into a smirk of satisfaction.

"First off I want to say that you guys have been doing great activity-wise this last week and to keep it up. We're on our way to recovering our status among the other groups. Secondly, a warm welcome to all our newcomers at this meeting- Talyn, Hypnotherapy, Chaosripples. We hope your settling into the ranks well."

It was good to see newer members that were actually giving the place a fair try rather then leaving after a day, and I knew that personally they all seemed pretty interesting to me, so I was glad to see them down there listening.

"Titles are first! Brighteyes goes to Jetta and Robin. Kayn and Fever, you get Proven. I'm also creating two new titles that you can read about in the Guide. The first is Triggerhappy, and goes to Deathstroke and Hypnotherapy. The second is Warden, and it goes to Deathstroke. A reminder that the Title system works as a Tier System as well, so you can 'level up' in any area you want by doing more of those things around camp posting those things around camp."

I was trying my best to keep up with those, so I'd be looking out to see who was deserving of them.

"On the note of things to check out, there's a Training Session up with Crown right now, and Go-Kart Racing with Riverside. There are also the Monthly Tasks to check out, which your also able to 'level up in' thanks to a Tier stystem, and the Monthly Activity Contest with an Art Prize."

Some good stuff, in my opinion. Riverside was a new ally so I wanted to make sure things stayed tight with them.

"Now the fun stuff. Kayn, Robin, Jetta, your all promoted to Recruit. Deathstroke, step up to Pariah. Fever, Anxiousthoughts, Oliver, I need to see more of you. Reiki's been MIA without warning so he's demoted from Recruit. Activity has been good this month so let's keep up our effort. I'm encouraging ally events and raids on the Sanguine Ruins, so if you feel the urge to do something then go ahead with it. Roman, take out a hunting patrol to the new hunting grounds to bring in some big game- if you see any trace of Colouredclan chase them out and reinforce our own border. We can't risk two clans hunting the herd to extinction so it's important to stay firm. Deathstroke, I know your planning on doing a lot of your stuff with the Ruins in 'stealth mode' which will ultimately be their downfall, but I don't want our outward displays of aggression to quiet down with them. Our willingness to openly fight with the Anticlans is what won us our reputation and activity back the first time around so take out a group to jump one of their patrols jump into an open patrol/hunting thread and cause some problems for them. The Rogues you take with you can consider it a hardcore training excersize." I added with smirk widening a bit into a grin.

I knew not all of my enemies liked violence and I didn't expect them to surround themselves with it if they didn't want to, but for those that enjoyed the thrill or challenge of a fight or who just liked hurting others for fun, they could set their focus on The Ruins. Deathstroke would lead them well enough. I'd seen that he was working hard to be a team player after our little talk and I wasn't going to hold back on him. As I'd promised, I'd keep him pleanty busy. The real question was, would he be able to keep up with everything I had to do for him?

"There will be a meeting for the HP's afterwards, so if you receive a summons this evening make sure you show up to that. Unless Osric or the other HP's have anything to add, that's all for this week."

  • Perhaps you've noticed,

    we're drifting apart?

。・゚゚・ She perked up as the meeting finally started, and attempted to make friendly eye contact the new members. Even Hypnotherapy, and she couldn't be the only one disturbed by the kid.

Fourthwall started with titles, and her feet lifted off the ground slightly at the mention of her name. Brighteyes sounded like a happy-go-lucky kind of title, so it took her a minute to remember what it was, but it didn't matter! She earned something! Then a couple more rank-givings, some clan goings-on, and promotions, in which she heard her name again! She's promoted to a recruit, and sure as hell will abuse what little power that gives her!

Next, a whole heckofa lot of politics that she listened to only because it's impolite not to.

  • ★ ★ ★ She couldn’t hear the meeting. No, but she could smell her brother. So, she followed. Settling beside him and looking about nervously at all the creatures. She bristled a bit and then locked her gaze on Kayn. As if awaiting orders.

    "Speech."

    YOU THINK I'm CRAZY

  • Kayn dipped his head in a deep bow at the sound of his promotion, although excitement hadn't hit him like it had the first time. This was nothing more than a stepping stone he'd easily smash through like the first time, not to mention it had been an announcement he was expecting. Few matched the tenacity of the black wolf when he had a goal in mind, and in this case returning to his prior position was step one. Then he would set his sights higher. Eventually someone would have to take Fourthwall or Osric's position. Blood in, blood out. If he wasn't being groomed to overthrow his master one day, than what for?

"Of course, master. Expect more in the future, this I assure you," The black wolf promised before turning his attention to Crown, a grin replacing the stoic stance he'd taken a moment before. "Oh, I always address superiors with vocabulary fitting a higher intellect. It just so happens I only really consider one person here my superior," Kayn teased, gently nudging his friends shoulder. Crown easily outranked him in title, but in practice they were still peers. The ebon lupine had already decided that gunning for his oath-bother's rank was the only way to spur him onward to the greatness they were both capable of. Their rivalry had gotten them that far so why stop?

Kayn turned his focus to Disturbia who had shown up, gently nuzzling her in an effort to relax her. She was on edge and understandably so considering the amount of people surrounding her. It had likely been a very long time since she'd last been around such a gathering, probably their time in the Cartel. It conjured thoughts of when times were simpler and his emotions, and loyalties, weren't called into question by the sporadic nature of the world. It only took a few presses on something that he cared about to change his tune, and with Disturbia back it had never been easier.

  • Wow, she was awarder the Proven title? Awesome! Yes, she did agree she needed to get out there more, as her activity had beed steadily declining, unfortunately.

"Thank you, Fourth! I'll do my best to pick up the pace."

  • {OOC- i'm adding them up to the titles now, but Triggerhappy is for people who are quick to enjoy and partake in raids/fights, and Warden is awarded to someone who does a lot of capturing. Just for your OOC knowledge :) }
