track. Bumblefrost is open to plots, whether it be bug or minor.
-
track, my cats are open to plotting :)
-
theonewhofleesfromme , how long do you think Ashtail and Hawkheart have known each other? Them still being relative strangers might be fun!
-
Track, my cats are open for plotting of course!
Like I said in my form, Crowmoon is prone to running into danger by virtue of him wandering off on his own to go and explore. Now that I think about it, I've also left open the possibility of Crowmoon and Redpaw finding their family - dead or alive - but I'm not really sure where to go with that, whoops
(Also heruakhety thanks for the compliment on the sign up thread! I thought it'd be better to thank you here than clutter up the sign up thread, I love your icon! A good manga)

I am here~~ (0E0)
-
Glad to have you!

-
With Ashtail's personality, I doubt that they would have really known each other. heruakhety

theonewhofleesfromme Alright! I think Hawkheart's uhh...boisterous? Personality will be a good offset to Ashtail's quiet one :3

Offers a picture of me, standing around procrastinating for over 30 minutes on what age I should put my character, based off of the 'years' ideology or what's used in the actual books for apprentices recently made warriors.
Like, you start training to become a warrior at 6 moons and you become one at about 9-12.
-
Oh mood? I put 6 moons and they took that
-
Yeah? I could honestly probably go middle-ground with it, but for now I'll just go ahead with the canon ages and adjust it if it gets brought up at all. My character being any older then a really young warrior would mess it up a little bit.
-
Cat's age weirdly dude, you could tell me a two moon old kit is a fully grown warrior and I'd be like, 'sounds alright to me'.
Anyhow, I'll open up the RP thread tomorrow, and start off during a Clan meeting if that sounds good?
-
Yeah, that sounds cool! I'm glad that you're more cool with different ages though, that would suck if it was a big hassle. I'm honestly pretty excited to use Frogsleap though. Just this warrior that has no clue what he's talking about, actively bitching about the leader.
-
I'm absolutely down for that, especially since Hawkheart is the kind of character that would absolutely be a passive aggressive nerd about that.
-
Yeah that sounds good! On the subject of cat aging mechanics I have like... a system but I literally don't remember how I went about it (and looking back at it I used the lifespan of a feral cat so I don't know if I should've used the lifespan of a housecat instead, so like... whoops)
Also Frogsleap sounds like he's going to be fun tbh.
-
Ohh, that sounds awesome honestly? Cats mature really quickly and stay active adults for a pretty damn long time, it's impressive. I'd love to see your system with that! But, generally cats can live up to about 20 years, give or take at their peak.
My kid is going to be enjoyable, and a little into the rp I'll probably bring in more characters as we go on, but I want to wait so I can actually balance it out with the character that I already have. We don't need two grumps just from me. -
Depending on how things play out I'll probably make more cats too tbh, partially bc I love making cats. I'll wait for more plot stuff for that, though, probably.
As for plotting I've still been kind of fixated on trying to find a way to get to The Stump safely?
Since this is also a chat I'll drop this here - I'm not saying anyone has to use this but this is just kinda the method I've had for when I do things. This is working off an 18 year old maximum lifespan (although most feral cats only live 4-5 years).
4 moons = 10 years old (earliest time capable of hitting puberty - not ideal of course but the earliest possible)
Every moon after that is one year (12 moons is an adult for a cat and 18 is an adult for a human)
So it works out like this
1 Moon = 2.5 years old
2 Moons = 5 years old
3 Moons = 7.5 years old
4 Moons = 10 years old
5 Moons = 11 years old
6 Moons = 12 years old
7 Moons = 13 years old
8 Moons = 14 years old
9 Moons = 15 years old
10 Moons = 16 years old
11 Moons = 17 years old
12 Moons = 18 years old
57 (remaining human years) * 12 = 684 Moons
17 (remaining cat years) * 12 = 204 (in captivity)
Every moon after the 12th is about 3 human months (rounded from 3.35294118). This means every 4 moons after a cat is 12 moons old is about 1 human year. So a 16 moon cat is roughly around 19 years old, 20 moons is 20 years, 24 moons is 21 years, etc etc etc.

Ooooh. That's a really good plan! I don't have any real ideas but just stuff that'll probably end up sprouting problems from general roleplay- Like, Frog befriending a more gullible cat of sorts, or one that's generally more violent then him. Talking about his issues with Hawkheart as leader and either creating a more genuinely violent threat, or just making an issue with him speaking poorly towards him literally constantly.
