    • This thread is based off the universe created in Shiver,Linger,Forever. The basics. Werewolves shift due to temperature, its a painful transition and once wolves they cant remember who they are. They can only send images to each others minds. So every winter the wolves appear in the forest of a small town. Unfortunately the woods border some houses, and one girl is able to see deeper into their world. After a hunting party moves to the town and hunts the wolves down, one boy ends up being shot and ends up in her garden. Only for her to give him shelter. And for him to realize this was his imprinted mate.

Ashley stared out the window, summer was almost over and autumn was setting in. She hated school of course, any sane person did. But this time she was able to not do any work but daze out the window. She slowly snapped out of it and headed home. As always her parents were busy on business so she made herself some coco and sat on her porch and stared at the woods. Then something odd happened, gun shots? She decided to hide behind her glass sliding door, still looking out to the treeline, Thats when the girl saw it. A mound in the leaves. She decided to call out "Um hello?"

  • (Okay! Thanks!)

Riley was groaning in pain, trying not to make so much noise, but it was difficult to do when being shot in the leg which slowed down his running and sent him crashing into a random garden. At this point he didn't even hear anything and was more focused on his leg which was bleeding a lot and had him nearly crying. He stood up by holding onto a nearby tree, wincing in pain as he looked down at his leg and saw the bullet hole which caused by a hunter. "Fuck..!" He said in a hushed tone, and tried to get away as far as possible but only got two steps before falling over with a thump. He felt sick and dizzy and was full of blood. Riley looked up and saw a girl after catching her scent. Even though his vision was getting more blurry now, he tried to stay awake. The scent made him more alert. This could be a hunter. The wolfboy tried getting up despite feeling weak but soon give up and lay on the ground, starting to feel more tired and was praying to not be killed. He was full of dirt, cuts and bruises as well as a few scars and was barely conscious.

  • "Shit.."Ashley cursed as she saw how bad in shape he was, there was never any shootings in this small town. She rushed inside and got a few things in the living room ready. "Im sorry..um Im gonna have to move you inside.."She hadn't seen someone nude and hurt. The blood distracted her more though than anything else. She walked with him inside and set him on the sofa. "This is gonna hurt like hell...Im sorry..Im Riley by the way. And your so goddamn lucky."She poured rubbing alcohol on some gauze and cleaned and dressed the wound quick as she could.

  • Riley blacked out and woke up on a sofa. His vision was still a little blurry but he still heard what the stranger said. Insted of replying however, he groaned again as alcohol was poured into his wound. His breathing was fast and anxiey got him like a truck. Questions were running though his head over and over. Who was this person? Why was she helping him? Is she a hunter? This made no sense to him. I'll have to get out of here when I'm well enough. He hought as his vision became normal again. His blue gaze landed on the girl that was for some reason helping him. It was rare for anyone to help him as he was a lone wolf and had be chased by hunters for days now. Riley winced as his wound throbbed and stung but mostly tried to put up with it to seem more tough though it was obvious he was struggling with handing the pain. He couldn't talk much now, but just about managed to say at least one thing. "Cool." He replied, looking around the room not really sure how to react to this situation. Where was he? A house? Was she going to kill him?

  • Riley sighed once she had wrapped the wound and she stood up and washed her hands. "Lay back.."She sighed and got him some painkillers with water. "I found you in my garden..Im not gonna hurt you so your safe here.."She waited for him to take them before sighing "I wanna know who shot you, oh I also wanna know your name."

  • He did exactly as the girl said and lay back slowly, trying not to cause any more discomfort. When handed the painkillers, he took them without hesitation ans hoped that they would kick in soon. "My names Riley and as for the person who shot me...im not sure really. I know he has been tracking me for days now for some reason." Riley knew why. Because he was a wolf. But she didn't know that nor did she need to. It was a secret. "And whats your name?" He questioned starting to feel a little better.

  • "Riley..Nice to meet you"She hummed as she listened to him speak about it. "I..I mean you can stay here for as long as you need. Theres only me here."She wanted him to get recovered. She didn't mind helping him out since she hoped someone would help her out if she was in need. "I mean your not leaving till you're healed. So your stuck"She joked to lighten the mood.

What if, tonight she like rests her head by his side and falls asleep. And he suddenly imprints on her?))

  • (yeah Okay!)

Riley stayed quiet for a moment. Stay? Looks like it. Where is her family? Does she even have one? "Well, looks like I have no choice." He grumbled wincing slightly. At least she wasn't trying to kill him. He looked around the room to get more familiar with the place since this what what was called how for now. Pretty nice. "Er...i like your home." Riley said to try and not be so awkward. He as tense still and a little jumpy. Everything was new to him. It's been a while since he's even been in a house with being on the run and all. He wanted to go. This will heal quickly anyway. he thought already wanting to go. He looked up at her. "Why did you help me?" Riley asked. Not many do and mostly Chase him away or leave him. But age was differnt. She actually helped him.

  • Riley sat by his side a little worried but knew she had done all she could. She listened "thanks.."she didn't know who this stranger was but knew he couldn't hurt her when weak."I helped you because..you were in my garden..if I ended up running from someone's who shot me I would've wanted to be helped too.."

  • ( It's okay!)

Riley looked at her trying not to feel sorry for her because she lives on her own. Or does she? Either way at least she wasn't killing him. "Yeah...thanks for helping me and all, but I really need to go. I mean not to be rude but I'm..." He stood up before he could finish his sentence, already feeling a little dizzy due to the blood loss but tried to move anyway. It's not that he would shift now but it made him really anxious. After nearly falling again, Riley stopped what he was doing. He only made it to the end of the couch and he moved in a slow awward limp. "Ugh...nevermind..." He said, slowly and carefully laying down on the couch again and sighed, ignoring his throbbing leg. "What I'm trying to say is I'm really busy. With...work and stuff." Riley couldn't just say that he was a wolf. It would scare her. She doesn't have to know anyway. "I'm quite tired..." He adds sounding tired but not really able to sleep.

  • Ashley but her lip watching him "I get that but you can tell move right now, you should rest up till your better." She put a blanket over him and sighed. "Your not a bother. It's Just me here"she knew there wasn't more to him. She wasn't an idiot. She watched him more "I can tell your lying"she's hummed "but it's fine"she yawned.

  • Riley lay his head down as as she put a covard over him. He felt really tired mentally and physically. After all that running this is what it's come to? Well, it was better than nothing and being left to bleed out. Hm, I wouldn't be so sure. he thought, the hunters still on his mind. They could be around somewhere...he shook away the thoughts and focused more on sleeping for now but was still listening to what the girl was saying. Riley looked down to the floor, making it more obvious that he was lying. He was never good at that. "Anyway...im really tired." He yawned, his teeth were slightly sharper than a normal human but that didn't cross his mind as for now. There was something about this girl that made him feel something he'd never felt. Like a mate. But he again pushed the feelings away and closed his eyes, and started to become more and more tired and relaxed as he slowly went to sleep.

  • She slowly went to sleep at his side. Her head resting on the side of the sofa. Her amber brown hair in a sprawled messy bun as she had her face down. Slowly she woke up wanting to do breakfast wanting to help him out more. She stood up and stretched quietly since she wasn't sure if he was awake. She moved over to the kitchen and realized the sliding door was open, bringing in a chilly air. She went over and shut it and locked it as she went to make him a hearty breakfast.

  • He woke up some time later. The scent of food hit his nose which made him more awake. It was weird waking up in a house and he almost forgot how he even got here. Riley was more alert now and slowly sat up to see what was going on. Looks like she's making food. Not really sure what to say he stayed quiet. The wound felt a little better but because the wound was as bad as he thought it would take longer to heal.

  • Ashley hummed as she cracked eggs and buttered toast. She set up two plates. Leaving hers on the side she padded over to him to see him up "Oh good. How are you feeling?"She asked as she set the plate onto his lap. "You need any pain medications? Some water?"She was very caring and wanted him feeling better. He had gone through a lot in her eyes. She got her jumper and put it on over her vest since she was cold.

  • He was looking around the house since this is what was his home for now. With the bookshelf and coffee able as well as other things you typically find in a living room. It was nice. Better than outside. He as quite surrised when Ashley seemingly popped up out of nowhere. "Oh, yeah. I feel fine." He replied to her question, lying a bit. It did hurt. Not as bad as yesterday. Riley smiled at her, decided to at least try to be nice or even get along. "I dont need medication thanks. How are you?" He asked sitting more up.
