introduction
that light you see at the end of the tunnel, when you lay there dying and slowly watching your life slip away, it's not you passing on to the other side. heaven or hell, every man or woman wonders where they will end up after they are dead. well here's the thing, there is no heaven and there is no hell. in fact you are reincarnated into another body. it may sound crazy, but it's true. thing is no one remembers their previous life, however, that's where deja vu comes into play. you may not remember your previous family, who your name was or even who you were - you could have been a jellyfish for fuck sake. no one really knows, so, don't get too comfortable in your skin, you may just end up living in another and another and another. but throughout the years as the clock keeps on ticking, scientists have been able to figure out why and how reincarnation miraculously beings and ends. it's like a push of a button, really, when someone or something dies it's soul - whether it be animal or not - gets passed down onto the next life. scientists have figured out a way to test this theory as a man and woman remembered their previous lives, their families and what their name was. scientists all over the world have been testing humans and animals alike - both domestic and wild - a machine was built to tap into one's soul, old or new and figure out who and what they were in a previous life. some scientists in south america have wandered through the amazon rainforest to find species who may have been reincarnations of victims who died within the past 5 years. these tests are leaving animals victims to prodding of needles and chained in cages, even strapped down to run cords throughout the body to tap into their souls to find 4 males and 4 females with the souls of 4 human boys and 4 human girls.
summary
so basically this is a thread about reincarnation, where 4 boys and 4 girls died about say 5-10 years ago and their souls had been passed down into eight different species [none of which are the same]. these eight species have the soul of a human being, they just don't realize it, they survive like any animal would in the wild. scientists will come in and take these eight species from their home and perform tests on them, thus the real adventure will begin. the animals will start to remember their old lives, who they were and what they looked like, slowly they will begin to remember their names and families as tests are performed on them every couple of months to ensure that they won't die on the scientists form over-working them. once they fully remember their past lives, things will be different, they will struggle to survive in the wild and the animal instincts will be tested for better or for worse. the animals will be at a lose and will have to work together to survive, even if it means befriending an enemy of your animal counterpart.
in order to survive and not die [again], they must use the fight or flight method at all cost. some may have to kill to survive, others may have to scavenge, while some may flee when danger arises. it's all up to how well you adapt to your animal instincts.
the scientists figure out how they can transform these creatures into their human forms, a syndrome that each animal shares. it is called 'biped syndrome'. This syndrome infact will be the turning point for each animal. biped syndrome is the title given to the alleged sickness suffered by some individuals who begin having visions of a past life as a human being. these visions border on hallucinations, and can strike at any time, leaving the afflicted completely vulnerable. It is said that those who are able to weather the strife and sheer madness caused by Biped Syndrome are eventually able to transform into a human.
note: it is up too you if you want your character to suffer biped syndrome. also it can end up possibly killing them if they are not careful. This will not happen until later.
[think of this turning into a shifter roleplay, but this won't happen until later on in the roleplay after months of tests being performed on them by the scientists.]

rules
1. don't take this thread, i came up with it earlier while talking to my mom about reincarnation (weird ik lol)
2. the spots are limited so please if you want the role, do not hesitate to snatch it up real quick.
3. i will not be providing you with a form, you may chose how you make your bios so long as you include the basics and of course what species they are. also since this is reincarnation, make sure you briefly tell about their past lives as humans, they don't remember much right now because they are animals. for the human basics you may add a name, age when they died, gender and a picture reference (and that's about it). focus mainly on the animal part for right now. Also do not forget to mention whether or not your character will suffer from biped syndrome.
4. i don't have many rules, i just need you to be interested in this to take active on this rp and that you are semi-advanced to advanced and literate.
5. oh also, i will not be changing the species, so please don't ask.
6. have fun, that's all i want. if you have any ideas be sure to run them by me first and then we will discuss them with everyone else.
