    For all his skills and how much he had been exposed to gore in his line of work, Hattori somehow managed to be peppy and happy all the time. Yes, the hotheaded prodigy did have times of anger, especially when his friends was in danger. Naturally though, he didn’t want to see any of them hurt. This didn’t stop him from trying to solve murders anyway. He wanted to see those who believed they could simply take away a gift, a right, because they “deserved it,” they hurt whoever had snapped to kill them— he wanted to see them get justice in the end.

    Long story short, a few loose ends became tied and pointed to someone... named Frost, he believed? He wasn’t sure where this killer was, so the teen set out. His paws carried him quietly and diligently, and then he stopped. His ears swiveled, hearing the sound of waves crash by. Huh. He looked over his shoulder. Dang. He was quite far up. The strawberry leopard shook his head, before continuing on. And yet, another thing came into view. He wasn’t sure who it was, but he had a case to solve. He had to start somewhere. Walking up to the creature, he asked, "Hey, do you know a Frost?"

    Frost lifted up her tail from her snout, eyeing the stranger warily, but also a small hint of curiousity at who would dare approach her. "Who's asking?" Her distorted voice, and the fact her namesake was beginning to rise from her own body, was enough. Sure, there were tales of a griffin with ice elementals being trapped in a glacier, if you knew where to look, but this was a new body, and she had pushed Gwen to the back of her own mind.

    Once upon a time, she had been happy, with her own family, and never considered killing others to be right. But that was centuries ago. That person had died right along with her family, and the new one had set out to kill everybody who ever wronged her.

    At the distorted voice and her odd body language, Heiji clenched his teeth, and lifted a paw. The strawberry leopard looked at the frost coming off of her body. Well, considering all of that, the detective seemed to have found his killer.

    Fearing that this wouldn’t end well, his blue-green gaze searched for something he could improvise as a sword. But there was nothing. So, instead, he turned his gaze towards her and turned his cap forward. "A little detective who likes a sense of justice." He growled.

    "Lovely." The dragon yawned, getting up and staring at the leopard, no emotion in her eyes. But her own mind was racing. Sure, the Sanguine Ruins were fine with most of the shit she pulled, but she wasn't sure Barbara would really be happy to have somebody who's killed dozens over a couple of deaths in her Clan. At this rate, if he figured out exactly how many people she'd killed and blabbed to Barbara, there would be nothing for her to go back to. She had to dispose of him. Don't you dare. He's a freaking kid- Shut up. I'll find out what he knows, then decide if I dangle him off a cliff or not. Happy? Good.

    "What'd you find out? I stole candy from a baby or something?"

    Ivory fangs twinkled at the question. He moved his paws, getting into a fighting stance. This likely wouldn’t end well, but he was going to do his best to bring someone to justice. After being nearly killed so many times... after watching families being torn about, and weeping for their loved ones. And as everyone hid, fearing their bodies would be next. Hattori was the one to make sure that would never happen. In a low voice, he remarked calmly, "You’re a murderer."

    That settles it. Off the cliff he goes. Frost began to advance on the leopard, when Gwen's voice burst through. Wait, maybe he doesn't know that much. The dragon paused at this, and looked over to Heiji, tilting her head. "What do you know? I am a Ruiner, after all. We aren't called bloodthirsty for nothing." And how the hell did you find out?

    The leopard moved backward upon seeing the advance. Heiji still tried to remain confident and grin, but he knew that shit was about to go down. His light brown tail lashed and he forced himself to become steady again. "Why do I need to tell you?" He purred, "You know what you did!"

    //Went on a nice killing spree centuries ago to avenge her family, and is now in a new body she stole to hide who she is, and to continue it with their descendants. Bringing up family will definitely get him pushed off a cliff.

    "Sure, I killed a few people recently. So? They were either enemies planning on the Ruins harm or more importantly, me harm." Frost glared at him, tail lashing.

    Killing in self defense? That was likely to gain more sympathy points from the detective. After all, if it’s your life or theirs, one would naturally choose their life. Feeling the glare, Heiji turned his head slightly. Hm. So she claimed that... one that people would forgive. But that wasn’t the case, now, was it? "No. I doubt you would’ve gone of a killing spree in self defense. Don’t get me wrong, I can understand motive... getting back at those people, if they messed with your family. But it’s a vicious cycle. It loops around and around.” His voice wasn’t like his usual happiness and peppiness, it held a fatal seriousness to it.

    //How's this?

    Frost's own eyes sparked with anger now, the first real emotion she'd shown in a long time. "You know nothing about losing family." The dragon stalked forward a few steps, the air around her growing even colder. "Watching some idiots crushing your hatchlings' skulls when you try to fight back, knowing you have nothing left because you were too weak to do anything to save them, that's real pain." Her distorted voice held sadness and anger in it, and she began to back the leopard up to the edge of the cliff. "I only got as strong as I did to ensure they felt everything I did when I killed their loved ones in front of them, and made sure their screams were the last thing they heard. I never got to finish, as some of them managed to trap me in a damn glacier, until little Gwen here-" Frost gestured to the body, and she could feel Gwen's own despair, "Got trapped as well. Gwen hates everything I do, because she's weak, like you and everybody else who thinks avenging your family is wrong. But can't have you spilling anything, now, can I?" Frost didn't have her usual wicked grin on her face, more of a sad smile. "My oldest had always dreamed of solving mysteries. She was the first to be killed." With that, Frost whipped around, using her strong tail to easily knock Heiji off of the cliff, looking down as he fell, her eyes holding their usual cold stare now.

    Shit. He went too far. But the leopard didn’t scamper away like some coward, he would at least face his death— what he assumed to be his death— with some sense of courage. Did he know what it was like to lose family? Of course not. As she inches closer, though, he had nothing to do but back up. Children... right. He never had children but hearing that anger and sadness pull at her voice caused him to lose his ears. He nearly skidded off as she finished, speaking of her own child that wanted to solve mysteries. He narrowed his eyes, remarking, "And hopefully I’ll be the last."

    That was it. He felt his body suspended in air, and then falling. It hurt as if he fell on cement once his body crashed into the tumbling waves below.

    All he could hope, was that his hat didn’t go with him and was on the cliff.

    //that works! I hope you don’t mind if the hat is somewherebdo it can be identified that it was him!
