  • Six months ago the world had gone to hell. Mostly. Some humans survived, but that doesnt mean they were good. The cities were the most dangerous areas to be in in the zombie apocalypse. Especially for animals. The scent of any blood could drive the brain eaters wild and into a frenzy, but they were somewhat slow. This didn't put the she cats mind at ease, she was still in the city. The center of it. Her humans had abandoned her long before this mess, and she was identified as a stray since she was Just a year old. But now she was an adult, and knew the best ways to get around. Mostly. The government had dropped bombs on cities to try and stop the outbreak, so it was harder to navigate the wreck without alerting a chomper or two.

Deli was a Bit of a show off yet lazy she cat. She was once owned by a Butcherer, and fed luxury meats. But one day the butchery closed and her humans left. She managed to live as a stray, surviving off of rats and the garbage cans that sometimes left her treats. But this was different. Humans were suddenly ravenous monsters that ate anything that moved.

Deli was not so confident anymore, and found it hard to sleep at night let alone in the day. And food was scarce, and not to mention the stench of dead things. She hadn't seen another being in awhile besides the monsters stumbling along the streets and in some buildings.

the last encounter was a rough one, she had hurt her paw while escaping two chompers. It felt like she had twisted it. Now she was hungry and sore, trapped underneath a minivan in the middle of the street.

Tiamat surveyed her surroundings. She was standing in the middle of a small park the humans used to play in. She didn't have humans, she was a loner even before the peaceful world became not-so-peaceful anymore. The lithe she-cat shook herself, careful not to let her fur brush over any dead leaves or other fungi. She got to her delicate paws and let a yawn slip through her maw before composing herself quickly and dropping into a crouch. Tasting the air for prey, she identified a small yet horrible scent of a rat. She grimaced. Rats tasted bad, and they still do. But she didn't have any other choice. It was either the rat, or back into the citys maze of collapsed buildings and risk getting hurt for food. She slowly stalked towards the scent, getting more excited with every pawstep she cleared. Finally seeing the rat, she frowned. It was small, too small to fill her at least halfway. Leaping and killing it with a hurried blow to the spine, she gulped it down quickly, not letting herself or the rat make any noise. She didn't want to attract any unwanted attention. Licking her chest fur she rose and sighed. She had no choice out here, the pitiful nature pushed her deeper into the city. So she walked, strode along, using patterned crumbling walls at her advantage, leaping or climbing over obstacles.
