  • The ice-maned lion hadn't heard much from the Overgrowth recently -- indeed, he learned about their name-change secondhandedly. So, of course he felt a little sour about being left out of the loop. But, perhaps the Overgrowth simply forgot about them; an easy mistake to make, one he didn't appreciate, but a mistake easily fixed nonetheless.

    Prowling over to the border, the winged lion sat himself down upon their border, simply deciding to wait. No need to get his voice all hoarse and raspy by impatiently yelling for someone to pay attention to him.

  • ☼ ☼ ☼ Agata had never heard of Wind Haven, nor any of the other groups other than the Overgrowth, an idea that had been forced upon she and her father almost two months ago. The Overgrowth and Sanguine Ruins, that was, but she had actually been rather sheltered in comparison to a lot of people, so she didn't recognize the scent that met her tongue as she approached Vasin. "Hey, what's up? Is there something you need?" Informal at best, rude at worst, but that was her way and she wouldn't stray from it.

    //mobile, sorry!!

    thalasso was the next to arrive, noticing the lion as well as agata. however, agata had already asked the needed questions (and was of higher ranking) so she took a seat a safe distance away from the snake as she awaited an answer from the stranger. much like agata, she was unfamiliar with wind haven as well. she had been isolated much of her life as well.

  • White eyes flickered towards the leader- twisting his head in curiosity and slithering closer towards the group, slipping into view closer to his sibling- but careful to keep his distance. Unlike the rest of the natives- or the empire in itself- he wasn't as sheltered. He knew of other clans just choose to stay clear of most of them. Now that the empire had made it's claim in their home though the rest of the natives such as his sister, father and- himself were left to clean up the mess.

    Something fowl twisted inside his mouth at the thought- after all he didn't look quite happy to be there. And while he was unfamiliar with the standing of the empire and Windhaven- this encounter didn't paint a pretty picture. None-the less, at least he could claim negligence. In some sort of degree, but for now the large serpent kept still, silent. Ready to strike and yet still lax within his own coils.

  • Three came to greet him, and his white pupils looked over each in turn -- though he nearly felt ready to get up and go without a word spoken to them. Their stony demeanor told him all he really wanted to know; that the Overgrowth had dropped the Wind Haven alliance without informing them. Without even informing them of their name change; he found himself offended, but not nearly as much as when Deutschland sauntered over and tried to drag Vasin along with the previous leader's debts.

    "I am Vasin, leader of Wind Haven. I was not aware your group changed so drastically in the last month -- so I assume our alliance has been dropped?" he inquired, a flatness to his voice. All he really wanted was verbal confirmation and he'd be on his way; he didn't like wasting his time like this, but the question still required a proper answer.

  • "The person who lead the elite into our lands has died, while I am not sure their intentions were of any malicious intent Vasssin." The serpent cooed from within the canopy, regarding the other calmly while filing away the information. So, Allies then? Once at least- maybe there was a way to fix this bond. Though it would have to be between clever wording. After the elite- the overgrowth was now added to the stage- other clans aware of their presence.

    However, the serpent was only a brave- a mere warrior- it was in fact his sister that was the current deputy. However he saw no reason to lie to them- and thought it was good initiative to try and fix whatever it was that separated the two groups. Maybe get him in position to be seen as an equal standing with his sister- maybe not deputy but... But somewhere.

    "Either way, it seems to be under new management. If you are interested in keeping or reestablishing an alliance. I'm sure you can discuss with the current arch druid- or even the Warden, hm?" The brave moved subtly- clearing the way so agata could be more seen. While she would probably not be very thrilled about being pushed on the spot- it was all he could really do until their father- SHUMAMBA arrived.

    Afterall- it took two sides for an alliance to fall. And while he was not going to push the blame on the guest's paws solely- it was by no means his fathers- or the native's fault. To push the blame on the ancestors is like pushing the blame to a rock or dirt. It cannot change itself unless the earth mother herself see's to it. And even then- it is rare- if at all she intervenes.

  • ❝ SON OF MAN, LOOK TO THE SKY ❞

    shumamba arrived as tenubris finished speaking, and the jaguar paused right before vasin, taking a moment to rasp his tongue along the top of his son's head. once his greeting was evident, the jaguar lifted his gaze to the wind haven leader.

    "summersend informed me that all former alliances were reset once the empire came here, though i was unaware of what that meant at the time." the archdruid shook out his dreads, allowing them to rearrange over his neck and shoulders. "i assume that you are not interested in reinstating your previous alliance with the empire - lions usually state their intentions clearly enough."

  • The lion's brow furrowed -- as what did the serpent mean, by the one who lead the elite into their lands? Perhaps he meant the late high queen of the Empire? It seemed most logical, but Vasin didn't even know who that was. The Empire didn't often dabble in outside politics, and especially not with Wind Haven. "Malicious intent or not, ignoring friends doesn't keep said friends around long," Vasin replied, answering the serpent's riddles with his own ambiguity. He found himself tiring of this conversation the more he stood here; he wanted a straight answer, and he got riddles.

    At least it seemed obvious that the Overgrowth had, indeed, dropped Wind Haven from ally status. The serpent implied that, but the jaguar's words were more than enough confirmation. His nose twitched at the comment as he replied, "Hmph, that assumption is a bit speciesist, don't you think? I hadn't made up my mind until this conversation, but... yes, Wind Haven and the Overgrowth will do fine as neutrals." He didn't like people putting words in his mouth, and he certainly hated this dismissive treatment. His chin lifted to the side as he unfurled his feathered wings, paws already moving to take him a few pawsteps away from the Overgrowth's border. He'd just fly out now, unless anyone had something interesting to say in response.
