  • 「 they’d love to watch me fall — they think they know it all 」

His last home hadn’t done him so well. Suffice it to say, the leopard... did not like what was going on. So, he stood up and bolted before he got into serious trouble. And here is where he ended up. Far from home, unsure of what to do. But... at least he had one friend. Another detective, who was admittedly, an equal. But Heiji would likely not admit that... given his friend’s unfortunate circumstances. He sighed, before sitting at the border, scarf and hat being blown in the wind as he waited for his friend. "C’mon Ku— Kiddo! Hurry up!" The leopard called, turning his head and lashing his tail.

    SHIN'ICHI.

Shinichi honestly tried not getting too attached to any one place they travelled, as he knew that, all too soon, they'd go somewhere else. Wherever fate took them, if he had to guess. The serval had to admit, however, that he was glad Heiji was along for the ride. Having another detective as a friend (one he struggled to admit was as great as he was) happened to be a relief, especially when it came to his current predicament. After all, the leopard was one among few who knew that Conan Edogawa, the young, glasses wearing serval kitten, had once been Shinichi Kudo. He hated having to play the part of a young kid, especially since it required actively having to dumb himself down so he didn't appear more intelligent than any kid his age should be. So, with a grudging sigh, he followed along on shorter legs, sitting at the border with his friend. At the near slip-up, Shinichi narrowed his blue eyes, sighing. While Heiji was a brilliant detective, he was a terrible liar. "Oi, Hattori, this better be the place. I'm not exactly suited to travelling long distance."

  • NO ONE'S PERFECT —

"If the place you're lookin for is the Wind Haven, then congrats, you found us," came the lazy drawl of the ebon pelted cougar as he seemingly appeared from nowhere, "but if you're looking for some other group, that sucks to suck." A humorless grin crossed the stocky feline's face as he stopped a few yards away from the duo, his vibrant green eyes gauging the two. A leopard and a serval, they both looked rather young, perhaps they were even a couple but that was none of his business and he didn't particularly care. "So, whatcha here for?"

Fixing his gaze on the newly arrived stranger, he adjusted his glasses before casting a look at Heiji that implied that he should definitely follow his plan. Clearing his throat, the young serval fixed his blue gaze on Glass and said pointedly, "Hello, there. We're two 'free-spirited wanderers' and we'd love to join." he stated curtly, wanting to avoid trouble with wording. "I'm Conan Edogawa." raising his head, he raised an invisible brow at the strawberry leopard, waiting for Hattori to continue.

Shot like a rocket up into the sky

Joining the cougar at the last minute, the tiger simply dipped his head towards the two new joiners and smiled warmly. "In that case, Welcome to the Wind Haven Conan" he purred, "We'd love to have you two as apart of the group"

The detective frowned somewhat at his mishap. Yes. They were new here, one of his usual slip ups could’ve been bad if they were someone that poisoned his “apprentice.” He shook his head, hearing the drawl and looking up. Ah, he appeared free spirited but a bit lazy at his work. His tail swished from side to side, hearing Conan speak. And then, somewhat dull green-blue eyes focused on the serval as he introduced himself. The leopard tilted his hat more back, looking to Witheredreaper and to Glass. "Yes! Conan’s my little free-spirited apprentice." Heiji let out a chuckle, attempting to wrap a leg around the serval. With a twinkle in his eye, he continued, "I’m his ‘detective master,’ Hattori Heiji. As he said before, we’d like to join, so uh... thanks for the welcome?"

He'd almost forgotten they'd agree that the apprentice thing was the guise they would show their friendship under. Casting his blue eyes at the leopard, Shinichi gave a small nod before glancing once more at Glass and Withered, dipping his head. "Yeah, thanks."

So they were here to join. Great. Vasin would probably be overjoyed. "Detective-master?" The ebon colored feline echoed the phrase, amusement clearly etched on his face. It sounded strange, it had a sadomasochistic undertone to it after all, but then again, with an apprentice? The age gap was quite something but he wasn't going to judge. Relationships like these were common enough when he was alive in his prior life. "Anyways, welcome. My name's Mickael," he then offered, deciding not to pursue the question in mind, "need anyone to point you towards camp?"
