  • Pierce felt bad. Being the busy man he was, he was out of the house a lot, welcoming newcomers, checking the borders for enemies, keeping up on anything in particular Aleksei wanted him to do, hunting, cleaning up camp- the list of everything he could be doing was pretty much endless. But, because of everything he had to do, he didn’t really have nuch time to spend with his kkids. His teo beautiful kids, kids that were growing up far too fast. Antigone, his eldest, was getting big. He was an apprentice, now, had been for a while, and he had a position, even stayed in another clan sometimes. After losing his three younger siblings and the whole Cartel attack on him, Pierce had been terrified of something happening to the little domestic, especially with all his eery comments about death and since there was no way to really stop him from staying in Shadow Veil- he would always be Pierce’s son, but he was going to be a young man soon. The serval couldn’t control him forever.

Today, though, he thought he’d spend some time with the ivory tom. With a few chores around the house and camp done, and Clementine with Hana, he headed back home, hoping to find his som where he’d left him in the little studio. It had never really been designed for kids, but after taking Annie in, he’d had to make some adjustments, which mostly included locking up his paints. That had hardly worked, though, considering how Clem had gotten into them a while aho. As Pierce neared the little overhang, with its yellow curtains that matched his scarf almost exactly hiding it from the outside world, Pierce raised a paw up, pulling the curtains back for him to peer in as he spoke up, “Hey, Annie, ‘you in here? It’s Dad. I, uh, thought you might... wanna hang out with me, or something.” What teenager wanted to hang out with their dad? According to books and movies, none, but Pierce wouldn’t know - he’d never really had a real father, so he had very little to go off of.
