  • Alabaster stood outside the palace awaiting the prince. They had both come from the throne room where he had been given the honor to accompany the prince to their neighboring kingdom to the south. In order to get there, they would go through the vast forest where a lot of dangers lurked around every corner. He was suppose to protect the prince from all of them. He felt excited that he was chosen out of all of the guard, but there was that pit feeling in his gut that he was going to fail. He took a few deep breaths in order to keep himself calm.

It was strange that he got picked out of everyone since he wasn't normal compared to the other guards. Curled, white horns on the side of his head, bronze wings folded into his back and a tail matching the same color made him stand out to say the least. He did wonder why was he chosen, but he wouldn't dare question the king's decision. He turned to the door seeing the prince walk out. "Your majesty"

  • in all honesty, wynter had no idea why his dad had picked alabaster as his guard. perhaps he was just worrying about every little detail; the blonde had never been outside of the palace walls before, save for the few times they traveled to see his betrothed. usually it was with his mother and father, though, calling for a lot more than merely one guard to accompany them. also, most of the time they were stuck in a carriage, wyn only getting the privilege to look outside of the window and merely admire all these things he’d never gotten to experience.

everyone thought he was amazing but, honestly, he kind of wished he could have a normal life. at least for a day.

a few other guards pushed the door open for him, the blonde giving them a gracious bow of his head to show his thanks as he strolled out of the palace. upon seeing alabaster, he gave yet another short nod of his head. “alabaster.” honestly, the only times he’d seen the dragon hybrid had been from afar, never truly talking to him much. he was.. he was pretty good looking, though, he wouldn’t lie. “i assume you know your way quite well?”

  • The prince was a rare specimen in himself, gaining a rather effeminate beauty from his late mother, in his red hair, which was let fall to his shoulders. His mother had passed some time ago, the light of the King's life with rumors to have been one of the most beautiful and verile in all the land. She was often nicknamed "the elvish queen," such was it.

But now heir had been left with a quiet father to follow after, and the red-haired Prince had grown quiet as well.

Cross, was his name, and he turned to address his guard. "At ease, Alabaster Issa." He'd never once seen the guardsman in his life, yet he knew the dragon half-blood's name. "My father had doubts about my choosing you, but I feel that my choice is a safe one," He insisted upon approaching the man, older than himself by only a year.

  • Alabaster nodded his response as a yes. "Almost like the back of my hand your majesty. We shall be able to make it to the kingdom of Kevar in three days time at the soonest" he explained. He couldn't help, but stare at the prince for a moment taking in every detail about him. He had to admit that Prince Wynter was a handsome man and it made sense why many of the young women of the kingdom tried to get his attention.

He was about to have him go into the carriage when he saw Cross walk out. He had forgotten that the two were brothers and he would have to bring both of them to Kevar. He looked at Cross for a moment surprised by the information he gave him. "You were the one who chose me to accompany the twin of you?" he asked sounding surprised
