  • Privately, Deutschland found it humorous that the Shadow Veil thought Thunderlands were stupid. With that strange animal ranking him a two and Regis a three, along with Soundcheck screaming about how he killed Mingan, and with Fragilepast's real business, they all sounded like a freak show to him.

He turned on Lucian suddenly with a thunderous growl, ears shoved forward and tail bristling as he snarled at his apprentice, displaying his dominance and superior ranking power over Lucian. "You better watch your tongue."

His attention focused now on Fragilepast, and he was feeling shocked and distressed to hear that Mingan had been killed. "Alright, lay off the curse words for a moment, yeah?" It wasn't professional. Even if Fragilepast was describing his own Clanmate, he didn't like to hear it in a professional setting. Apparently, Valo-kas might think otherwise.

"Let Soundcheck stay here and do some community service activities. We won't torture him, but we would like to punish him. I don't want to dissolve a neutrality based on something only one person did, and, judging from your opinion of him, it doesn't seem like you approve of it. We would also like Mingan's body for burial." The German shepherd rolled back his shoulders, making a snapping sound. "Why punish a whole Clan for the wrongdoings of one? It seems those two had beef with each other before they joined our Clans."

*:・゚✦ Great, so a professional visit about a neutrality turned into a punishment for him? Well, that was fine. Besides, he was sure that Sekhmet didn't come here to discuss him, anyhow. "Sure, you can have the body. I will warn you, it's pretty mangled up." Whatever the hell was left of it, anyhow. "Of course, I also don't mind doing community service for you lot--if Sekhmet's okay with it then I am too." A pause as he brushed some dirt off from his chest. "In fact we did have beef. Lots of beef. Beef I don't wish to discuss." He wanted the weight off his shoulders, not on them. He glanced at Sekhmet as though awaiting her response on the matter.

    "Speech."

  • FRAGILEPAST

    "TALKING" || 'THOUGHTS' || 'TELEPATHY'

The male nodded curtly towards his former ‘leader.’ They were all adults here though, but he went with the assumption to stop his crude mouthful of slurs anyways. Not so appealing to the ear to Deutschland, apparently. “If you say so, darling,” he grumbled.

Back on the subject of Soundcheck(who was rambling on any-fucking-ways after his countless warnings), the shaderunner felt like he did not even have to look over at Sekhmet for her opinion. Instead, he answered himself. “We’ll return the body, as it’s a courtesy to respect the dead,” came his deep response. Some proof was nice too if Soundcheck wanted to make his nonexistent point that he was better than his weak sister just by doing some few cuts here and there. Rather pitiful, actually. “You can also take Soundcheck as long as he’s returned.” ‘Though, I wouldn’t mind if he wasn’t.’ “Put him to use. He’s more brawn than brains, obviously.” Speaking of which, he turned on his heels to face his high position. “Didn’t I tell you to shut the fuck up?” How professional.

*:・゚✦ He chuckled. "All right, all right. At least I'll be respectful towards my higher-ups." Heh, the rate he was going, Frag would try and steal his adopted kids, if Soundcheck found any to raise. But no matter. He rolled his shoulders, and a small smile remained on his face; however, he nodded to Deutschland. The Duskguard had standards, at least.

    "Speech."

  • Watch out, Vanilla Veil were about! He'd been reluctant to hop on over for quite some time, but now that things were getting juicy the male couldn't help but insert himself into this deflated equation and make something special out of it. A grin stretched from ear to ragged ear, normally smug attitude twisted into one of eccentricity as a way of protecting himself following a recent capture, Feliks would skip past the borders and straight into the loving arms of the enemy line. Was he aware that he wasn't particularly well liked in the Veil? Yes. Did he care? Well, he wouldn't have been pacing around with the so called 'neutrals' centimeters away from him if he did. What didn't go amiss from him was the fact that a clanmate had been savagely killed, the sentence given lighter then even he'd received for calling a leader a bitch. "You should let me deal with Harry Potter over here, I could fix him up real nicely if you cupcakes don't have the balls to hurt a rulebreaker yourself," he beamed from behind the Shadow Veil, keeping his ears firmly pointed towards the sky. Despite the growl in his voice, contributed by throat injuries and second-hand smoke, and despite the seriousness of the situation, there was hardly anything but playfulness in his voice, knowing that the whole purpose of this was to try and get the Thunderlanders to break a neutrality. Why else would they come? Even Thunderlanders had reasons for being on their borders and so far this mob of merry midgets had no purpose other than to be annoying which didn't make sense for passive clan. "Because I call bullshit on respecting the dead after your honoury words as Thunderlands leader Frag, least you could do is have your pack of fawning brown nosers deal with the misfit,".

  • FRAGILEPAST

    "TALKING" || 'THOUGHTS' || 'TELEPATHY'

Dear lord. No one was competent these days, were they? With Soundcheck finished, Fragilepast feel no other need to address the situation. If the duskguard didn’t go to his punishment, then he would do it himself and that’d be much worse than whatever these pussies could do to him.

Look! Someone that wasn’t involved with the conversation was barging in. “I still don’t know why you’re here, Feliks. Go back to raping children with the Cartelians, darling,” he butted in. If Cyrus was here to give proof, along with the others, Fragilepast would have his definite proof that Deutschland was too blind to see. Even with all the accusations, he kept him. How fucking idiotic. “Even so, I don’t know why you’re talking. I’m here to check on the neutrality, not to provide you with a new victim.” The panther’s head craned off to the side. “Might I remind you that I exiled a rapist and created two neutralities that prevented a war on two fronts during my time, unlike your current leader who caused two acts of war with the same clan due to his actions, along with setting Blizzardclan over the edge finally.” Fragilepast bit his tongue momentarily, figuring he was done. “I think I did well,” he added.

Finally, his gaze laid back onto Deutschland. “Like I said, you can have the body and take Soundcheck. Do whatever you want to him,” the shaderunner hinted.

  • LUCIAN MAEGIUS AERCHIUM

    the thunderlands - knight - male - 19 months - tags

Lucian only half-flinched when Deutschland came over and reared on him with this gigantic display of dominance. Cold, voidless golden eye met with Deut's for a moment, as if deciding whether or not to do anything, before Lucian rolled his eyes and sat down, lowering his head in annoyance. "Really, y'all talk to much shit." He muttered, golden eye focused in on Feliks and Fragilepast. "Well, we'll see how this goes."

  • R E G I S

Wait, so what Soundcheck was saying was indeed true? Mingan was... dead? The lion's eyes glistened with the beginnings of tears as the reality hit him and he felt the crushing weight of loss fall upon his shoulders. Mingan had always been there and had always shown a determined attitude and had been a rather loyal member of the clan. He couldn't speak for the rest but her loss from his life would certainly be felt. Regis found his gaze sweep across those who were present until he looked solely at Deutschland as he awaited the Thunderlands leader's decision. But the vampire felt his hopes sink by the answer given.

    "C-community service?!"

The words were spluttered in disbelief and a flash of betrayal and fury shone across his features. A valued member had been murdered, and now he was expected to tolerate the bastard's presence in their lands? He wanted to argue but on this occasion he managed to swallow down the words that sorely wished to be let loose. He agreed that the neutrality had to be preserved but he wanted nothing to do with Soundcheck. If the guy even dared to come near the medical den during his time in the Thunderlands then there would be trouble.

Letting out a defeated sigh he simply looked back to Fragilepast.

"Regardless of the state of the body I will do my best to make her look presentable for her burial. I've become rather adept at piecing back together corpses."

It was an evident jab against the previous murders that had been carried out along the borders in the past. But frankly trying to stitch up deceased friends and neighbours was a mentally taxing duty, something he did not enjoy doing. Mingan would likely be the most difficult task he would have to face.

Focusing on fighting back tears of grief he tried to maintain himself whilst in front of the Shadow Veilers, but it was all for naught as Feliks arrived and more shit was stirred.

    "I've heard enough."

He growled as he got to his paws and strolled further off along the border as he tried to distance himself from the verbal shit-flinging that of course ensued. He was weary of hearing it all and he saw it as being immensely childish. The old lion shook his head as he walked along, and with his back now to everyone he finally granted himself the opportunity to let the tears fall as he mourned for Mingan.

  • [ YOU DIED! RESTART? ]

the mutant choked on a laugh. when your mouth is constantly filling with fluid, these things happen. they spat. “have fun playin’ whipping bitch.” valo-kas shot in soundcheck’s direction. sure it was being called community service officially but...they gurgled around another wet squawk that was meant to be a chuckle.

valo-kas itched behind one ear with a hind paw. is that it? their neutrality was confirmed and a verdict had been reached for soundcheck’s punishment and the mingan - a who, not a what, they had learned - would be returned regardless of the state it was in. as fun as this was, all the important things had been taken care of, had they not? valo-kas wiggled in place, watching another stranger join the fray. they held off on a ranking because the dude had an apparent bone to pick with fragilepast and valo-kas wasn’t going to butt in on that noise, even for the sake of the joke.

why’s he over here though? bud. same reason they all were, really. valo-kas decided they couldn’t pass judgement. it wasn’t like their leaky ass was contributing anything monumental beyond gawking and skewed sexiness rankings. they sneezed and watched for the time being, eyes following regis, who broke off from the group after hearing about the mingan thing. needs a violin. then back to the rest of the patrol. “we good? or is this now where everyone sits around ‘n takes jabs at each other ‘til the sexual tension’s, like, way palpable?” they asked, stamping repeatedly on the drool-soaked ground beneath them.

  • Oh how things went from peaceful to dramatic within a few moments and she was content on watching and waiting to see what was going to happen. Though she was was sad that Regis had left as she wanted to have a pleasant conversation with him. Truth me told she hoped that maybe they would get a chance to speak again. But as she watched his retreating form the female tilted her head, long ears pulled up a bit. She felt no true remorse for Soundcheck killing that Mingan woman as she was an evil and conniving bitch that tried to get into Shadow Veil and off her clanmates herself. Though when Feliks showed up her hackles began to raise just a bit more, eyes narrowing on the male as she lifted her tail slightly. "If Soundcheck is to be punished then I'll be here to witness and observe. But I'll let you know that Mingan came to our border in a clear intent to try and kill Soundcheck herself but she never made it that far." The feud between the siblings went deep and she glanced at Soundcheck before shaking her head a little bit. Who boast about killing someone like that unless they wanted a fight to break out? Not that she cared if fighting commenced anew. It would be something to do. "Also Feliks is not to be anywhere near Soundcheck or any of my clanmates. I've already had enough of him and his friend Deathstroke harming my kids." First it was Sutekh and then Deathstroke hurt Indrani and she was younger than Sutekh had been. A part of her wondered if they ever thought of why Feliks was exiled from Blizzardclan, the place he was so called a good leader at and her muzzle curled a bit in disdain before she relaxed herself, claws scrapping against the ground as the canine narrowed her gaze just slightly.

  • The way Feliks was talking, it made Soundcheck tilt his head. Oh? Was Feliks going to try and kill him? Mingan had done so once before during the war, and all they did was throw paint and tomatoes at him. Bunch of wussies, they were.

He nodded to Frag, saying nothing more, then his gaze landed on Regis. Jeezum crow, was he close to Mingan or something? Regis probably didn't have children to steal, the wolf figured. Either way...well, whatever. He looked on as Regis moved away from the scene.

Valo-kas spoke next. "Whipping bitch"? Like a slave? Eh, well, it wouldn't be too bad.

Ah, Sekhmet spoke up finally. Soundcheck nodded in agreement, and glanced at Deutschland as though waiting for his verdict. Yep, Mingan had tried to kill him. Twice, now. But she was also a child thief. Unfortunately he had no evidence to back that up, so he would say nothing for now.

  • As soon as Frag had name dropped the Cartel, Feliks collapsed to the floor, rolling onto his back like a dying fly as he flailed his limbs around in a sudden pretend agony. Tongue lolling from this vulnerable position, the Head Commander let out a 'pained' groan. "Ugh, you got me man. I'm so insulted, I was told to go back to the Cartel when I was exiled from there, waaaaaaaaaa," he cried sarcastically, a throaty chuckle escaping from between his lips. He used his air elementals to create a vaccuum around his ears as Fragilpast started listing his accomplishments, not interested in listening to another narcissistic ramble when he hadn't even mentioned how good or bad he thought the lion did. Staring blankly until the other's mouth had stopped moving, the wolf would cease his power usage, an invisible brow raised as if to say 'you done?' letting his ears pop before he continued. "You also completely shat on Deut's legacy by disrespecting him at your first meeting, went against Thunderland's traditions and oh I dunno KILLED THE FORMER LEADER. Competent leader or not, you're still a nonce, spouting all that shit about me being one ain't gonna change that,". Now it was time to move onto someone equally painful to listen to, the wife. With how fast his raspy voice was, it didn't seem like he intended to stop for a break anytime soon as he ran them down for insulting him. Feliks hardly seemed to recognise or hear anyone else, deep in character of this loopy ranting guy. Jumping up, the wolf would listen on.

"Well instead of letting this douchebag kill her and watching on, you should've done something about it or at least told us what our member was trying to do to yours. It's not that difficult to walk over here as you've proved, your lazy attitude towards making a peace pact and dealing with your out-of-line clanmates is shameful and god damn embarrassing. " though cautious to hurt before, Frag's comment had set him off on a tangent. They were woefully incompetent at being neutrals and took the Thunderlands for granted, why anyone still gave these bigots any time of day was beyond him. Still though, despite the narrowing of his emerald eyes, despite the flicks of irritated ears, he was still grinning like a bootleg Cheshire Cat, feeling on top of the world and figuring he had nothing to lose by being honest with these assclowns. They'd already been allowed to kill one of their own with the mildest of repercussions, if they were enemies again he could go back to tormenting someone and having an outlet for his frustrations. Pupils nearly rolled out of his head at the second 'comment' made. Jeez they were shit at this. "I'm not the one murdering peaceful clanners honeypot, I've been good and left your group alone for the most part, but if you wanna bar me from being close to your clan? Fine, but I really do think you're demanding too much for what you're giving,".

  • Perhaps the thing he hated most about Fragilepast was that he was so unpredictable and hypocritical. He absolutely couldn’t stand while Fragilepast talked down on rapists like he was some moral hero, while he quite literally calls himself a king of hell. Deutschland’s Catholicism is long behind him, but if he remembered correctly, Satan loved rapists and all sorts of bad behavior. It was just stupid that Fragilepast thought it was okay to burn Nymeria alive, to drain all the blood from Selby, to kill and disrespect his own leader, but always made sure to keep his dainty paws away from rapists. It just wasn’t fair. It made Deutschland believe Fragilepast’s claim of being a king of hell less and less, and figured it was more of an ego-booster, to make himself feel good and powerful.

He knew his sentence would cause some confusion among his Clanmates, but he didn’t want to fall into the trap. He didn’t want Shadow Veil to point fingers at them later and say “look at Doucheland, he’s torturing Soundcheck! He broke the neutrality!” That’s exactly the kind of thing he suspected them to do, especially with Sekhmet’s strange request to watch Soundcheck’s punishment. A brow rose as he stared coolly at Sekhmet. Didn’t she have better things to do?

”I never got to watch the punishment for Fragilepast when he ripped out my daughter’s eye. That’s simply a demand I cannot grant. I assure you, being the loud and brash person Soundcheck is, he’ll tell you everything that happened. You can’t trust your own Clanmates?” He could understand Sekhmet would not trust Deutschland, but did she really have so little faith in Soundcheck? Finally, the great Shadow Veil seemed to be crumbling from the inside.

Feliks made good points, and he let the wolf talk, because they decided to throw him into the mix. Something about Deathstroke caught his ear and he twitched slightly, taking a moment to glance at Feliks carefully. With Sekhmet’s demand to keep Feliks away, he fought back a scoff. Sekhmet had already proven herself far more vicious and unpredictable than Feliks. She had killed and eaten alive a Thunderlandic tiger in the most wretched way imaginable. What made her think he was going to allow her in his borders, allow her to stay among his family and friends after that? Dumb, dumb, and dumber.

  • If she could arch a brow at what Feliks was saying she would have. Because of what he was saying was very much invalid at this point or wrongly stated. Her tail curled against her body as she relaxed just allowing the mutt to blather his mouth as he usually did considering he wasn't much of a fighter. His mouth was the only thing that she found annoying and she wished she could sew it shut. Would prove to at least better his life in her own opinion. "Lazy attitude toward making a peace pact. You are mistaken but then again I can't expect someone like you to keep details straight given how much you run from your past constantly because you don't think anyone remembers what you did to those former Exilers." She shrugged her shoulders a little bit before looking toward Deustchland and merely giving out a sigh. It was always a back and forth when it came to these two. No one else seemed to fight and they managed to reach a compromise but with these two it was either their way or nothing at all. Even with the peace pact that hadn't really fallen through they had tried to get more and more which she had denied. "We came up with an agreement. Deutschland would release my clanmates and I would give his own back to him. Your leader never came through with his part of the bargain and instead demand more things of me because of something that happened a few moments after our first agreement. He claims I should have made an announcement, that I didn't just have my paws full of injured clanmates or others in emotionally weakened states because of your raid. I'm sure he didn't make an announcement himself of having set down the terms of peace. My clanmates escaped on their own and returned so I came here and returned Havana myself and called it a day." Her eyes narrowed a bit before she shrugged her shoulders just slightly. It was a moot point anyway and one she hardly found herself caring about. They didn't even really have a neutrality, it was half spun and crumbling away even now. "Also don't claim that I watched him kill her because I wasn't present when he had done so." But many of her clanmates were and news spread quickly of what had happened.

"And you say peaceful clanners. Really? Tell me how peaceful all of you are then because I don't remember striking out against any of you first. I don't remember plotting behind my neutrality's back and sending out a raiding party with the clear intent of striking down Veilians. And asking for too much, tch. Keeping you away is not asking for too much and watching over my clanmate isn't too much. If we are neutrals now then it shouldn't be a problem." Were they afraid of her? They didn't want her walking around their trash of a clan? She'd been captured here before, or rather it hadn't even been a capture as she had just came and went on her own will. She'd walked among them and even had a conversation with Deustchland himself before she had decided to leave because they didn't know how to use anything they had as leverage and sat on their asses for much of the time she spend there. She only left because of what Fragile had been doing under his corruption and had to go and put a stop to it. But now she focused on the spotlight leader himself. "Yes because you would have definitely been invited during a time of war when we were at each others throats. Peace demands progress don't you know and at this rate it won't last very long, besides you don't believe that I even punished him so why even bother bringing that up unless you lied to me on the battlefield." Rather he believed it or not she didn't care anymore. Many of her clanmates had witnessed the act happen and he could ask them about it if he wanted to. She left that to the side and almost scoffed when he tried to bring trust into this. Maybe he was more idiotic than she had first thought him to be. "So you are saying to me right now that if one of your clanmates was to be taken to my clan you'd be fine with them receiving a punishment that you couldn't supervise. That is daft. You'd rather trust a group you'd been a war with previously, because that's what you are saying, to keep to themselves and not harm someone that is like family to you. This isn't even about trusting your clanmate because all the trust in the world won't bring them protection from being surrounded by animals that hates where he comes from and in extension probably hate him. So you either get him and me supervising or you get neither. He's willing to go and I'm willing to let him under my watch."

  • R E G I S

Even despite being a short distance away further along the border he could still hear all the bloody bickering. Regis felt a bloody migraine coming on. Lifting a paw up he then brushed away the final slivers of tears as he concluded his mourning for the time being before finally deciding to rejoin the Shadow Veilers and Thunderlanders. This was just going to go in a circle if a voice of reason didn't make itself known.

"The past is the past, right now we should be considering the future. So, Sekhmet, Deutschland; I want to put forward an offer. I doubt many Thunderlanders will be pleased about having you living among us, Sekhmet. But, if you would allow it, I will hand myself over to the Shadow Veil during the time that Soundcheck fulfils his community service. If he comes to physical harm that is unappealing to you then I will endure taking the wounds myself. All I ask is that I maintain the freedom to return to the Thunderlands for meeting and medical emergencies."

Frankly the idea of sneaking off to the Shadow Veil sounded like a fucking holiday, maybe there he could get some peace away from the stresses of his life. Primarily Lucian.

  • The fur along Deutschland's spine was rising, no doubt losing his cool. Why Sekhmet had to be so damn stubborn was beyond him. It was her Clanmate who killed a Thunderlander! Honestly, Deutschland believed himself to be extremely soft in this punishment. He could have demanded so much more, but Sekhmet was fighting him against this simple thing, and he didn't even know why. He didn't want to fight. He wanted peace, he wanted to be left alone. He didn't want to torture someone. Beating a dog never got them to behave, it made them worse. Torturing Soundcheck would only fuel the hate. I don't want your revolting, murderous, and savage tendencies in my land, ya bitch. Nor your cuck of a husband, if he ever thinks of coming along with you. He was calling Sekhmet a lot of other foul names in his mind, but on the outside, his claws were curling into the grass and his eyes were narrowed.

"Do you honestly think I want to start up a fight? I was the one who initiated peace in the first place! I was the one who fought for a conclusion to this war! And you think I'm going to torture your Clanmate? What gain could I possibly get from that? Take a minute, get out of your bigoted mind and think! I'm not like you, Sekhmet. I'm not going to murder and torture and eat alive someone who is helpless. I don't want trouble with your Clan. I'm not obsessed with beating you into the ground. I have other things I want to do with my life. I have friends and family that I would rather spend time with instead of bickering with you, and I'm sure you do too!" A deep breath left the German shepherd's trembling frame, his body quivering with anger.

"You severely traumatized some of our Clan. Your presence among our life will not be welcome. You ate one of our own. I'm sorry, but they don't like you. It's just a fact. It's honestly better, and safer, for you to stay home. You being here will aggravate the situation even more."

He disliked the idea of Regis offering himself as someone to take the place of Soundcheck, because he was their trusted medic, and he was worth so much more than Soundtrack. The Thunderlander fell into a silence for a moment, thinking it over. "I will be willing to permit that." He finally said in a raspy voice.

  • Her eyes turned to look at Sir Regis as he spoke up and this was why she liked him more than any of the idiots in the Thunderlands. He understood compromises where even their leader was too opinionated to even take a step back and look at the whole of the picture. This enabler of rapists and child abuse was the problem in the Thunderlands and they couldn't even see it. She was about to speak up when Deutschland expressed himself quite clearly and she felt her hackles raise, the fur along her spine lifting up and she curled her muzzle a bit. "And now you look to insult me. Calling me a bigot when that is hypocritical in of itself. You say you fought for peace and to end this war but when I met you halfway you gave up and didn't even bother giving me my clanmates back. You couldn't even keep your own clanmates from coming to our border despite us still not being on good terms. And please give me the names of these members that I've traumatized because I'd love to know who I have personally affected." Her voice had turned cold and hard now as she looked at the male before her. This self righteous bastard who figured he was above everyone and had a right to try and make things swing his way just because. He was a cruel type of evil that the world didn't need. "And don't put words in my fucking mouth. I never said that you would torture anyone but that doesn't go for everyone here because rather you like it or not just like myself we can't control everyone and that is a fact of life. You probably don't even know the name of this precious clanmate I ate. Where is your proof of that?" She definitely had better things to do then to argue with someone who considered himself a saint and better than everyone else. It was an annoyance and a part of her wondered if Deutschland was actually insane. It would make sense. "Yes me being there and silently watching will definitely antagonize the situation. Oh, be angry and fear me." She mocked before just shaking her head and looking to Sir Regis before shaking her head a bit. "I appreciate your offer Sir Regis as it is a nice compromise but I don't want you to be held as leverage. Thunderlands is highly unliked back home and things would be worsened if you were hurt. Soundcheck, come on. They don't want me to watch the punishment which I have a right to then they just won't get their justice. People not liking me goes the same to you and that is no excuse to not allow me to witness what is going on when antagonizing would happen rather I'm here or not. So let's go home. They can mope about Mingan's death. I hope she has a good funeral." Rising to her paws the woman turned away and beckoned to her clanmates to start heading out. Frankly she didn't come here to even have this sort of conversation. It was a simple border check and she rolled her eyes before taking a step forward.

*:・゚✦ All the words...ugh. He listened silently as Thunderlanders and Shadow Veilers alike talked back and forth. Damn, he really shouldn't have said anything. If he had kept his big-ass mouth shut, this would have been a simple patrol and nothing more. Though he figured the Thunderlands would know it was him who had murdered Mingan, in a surprisingly short amount of time.

Hearing Regis push forward an offer, Soundcheck thought it was fair. Regis did seem trustworthy enough, even if he was extremely close to Mingan. Eh, somehow. Deutschland agreed to the offer, but Sekhmet said no. He glanced at Fragilepast briefly, before nodding to Sekhmet. He was obedient, not a rebel. His gaze then fell on Deutschland. "I'm sorry for your loss. But just know that I saved you from a potential child thief. One that could have been a danger to your group." And after that, he would say nothing more, and follow Sekhmet on out of there.

    //out

    "Speech."

  • R E G I S

"Bridges aren't made from throwing rocks in a river."

Regis murmured quietly mostly to himself, folding his ears back as the bickering only continued between the two leaders. Closing his eyes he then drew in a deep sigh as he swallowed back the urge to simply scream. Too much ego, too much pride. Unfortunately it brought his plans to broker an uneasy peace crumbling down, leaving it ruined and beyond repair.

He could hardly blame Sekhmet for turning him down, but key words did stand out which caught his attention the most.

"I wouldn't have put myself forward if I didn't have trust in you and the others in the Shadow Veil. But so be it. I just want Mingan's body delivered, please."

The lion would watch them go, pained by the missed justice. They could have had a little, but now they had none. It made his fur prickle and he soon locked his furious gaze upon Deutschland, and Feliks for that matter.

"You two are a real pair of tits, you know that?"

His faith in Deutschland was wavering, and he was beginning to view him less and less as a leader. Sure, he wasn't happy with the Shadow Veil either but he could yell at them on another day. Forget going home for a cup of tea, he was needing a bloody big bottle of whisky.

valo-kas had become pretty enraptured by the back-and-forth (other peoples’ drama was always so yummy), but the second sekhmet gave the signal to clear out, the mutant followed obediently.
