  • Oh, we got a dream!

We gotta be somebody, be someone

Nymeria wasn't sure of what to think when Delgado announced that she was his mother.

She only remembered one child before reincarnation, and she only believed she had

one. No other litters. So, how can she be a mother to him? He was grown too so that

made it even harder to think. Nymeria laid on her side, looking up at her hawk, Miran

who was perching on a tree above her. "What am I supposed to even do?..." she

inquired to her feral friend as if he could talk back. She sighed, drawing her gaze

back to the ground she was laying on. She flipped onto her paws and shook off

any dirt that was on her pelt. Well, she had to do something, maybe try to

connect with him and build a close bond? That sounded good to her. So looked

around the village for Delgado, Marvin flying and following above.

  • The more Delgado thought back to the incident when he returned to the Thunderlands, the worse he felt. Samuel had offered him an explanation then, even adding that just now Nymeria could remember her own husband. Therefore he shouldn't have been so expecting of her to recall an elder son from a past life that had disappeared long ago, only to arrive in a time of unfamiliarity and amnesia. What if she thought he was playing with her mind and he wasn't really her son at all? After all, he was almost fully grown, nearing his two year birthday, and he looked vastly different from his childhood appearance. He could have deceived her if he desired, masqueraded as someone else, won over her trust and faith in order to mold her mind. But he wouldn't dare do that—he truly was her son, and family was most important to him.

He wanted to at least try to reconnect with the Border Collie, rebuild the mother-son trust that would be expected. Memory loss or not, he was going to get her back. Somehow. "Faring well?" the wolfdog inquired of the other canine, arching a metaphorical eyebrow. He was fairly comfortable to initiate conversations with family, unlike with others, where he just made simple remarks mainly to himself.

It seemed he had found her before she did. She smiled to him, looking to him.

"Oh hey, I was actually looking for you." she said, perking her ears. "I

was wondering if you would like to come on a walk with me." She wagged

her tail in a friendly gesture, "You don't have to but I just wanted to know

    you more."

  • Looking for him? Well, a walk did sound pleasant. It'd help him adjust to the territory once more. "Alright then. Lead the way." The wolfdog tried to offer her a warm smile, but it was a battle to produce it. Del wanted to know her better, maybe jog her head a bit if he could, help her redeem her former memories. He felt trapped, almost estranged and torn from his own mother. His whole family, really. There was a constant struggle to relate to them and learn more about them, and he wondered if he was to stop trying so hard. He could start another family one day with someone. Or perhaps he would not have a family at all.

Nymeria was happy he accepted, but she could say she was pretty nervous too.

She was scared he would not like her after. But she would do it anyway,

she didn't want to act like strangers, it would just make everything awkward.

And that's the energy Nymeria couldn't stand. She didn't really doubt that

he was her son when he mentioned it to her, she figured out she died and came

back when she remembered Samuel a month ago. She also obviously figured

out she had memory loss too and she still currently did. Who else did she forget?

Life was just full of mysteries.

Nymeria willingly led the way out of the village and into the territory. "So,

how are you fairing?" she asked, deciding to spark up a conversation.

  • The wolfdog was certain that he wanted to make things right with Nymeria, and this would be a start. Surely there was some chance of jogging her memory, helping her recall members of her past. That was what happened with Samuel, right? "I'm...fine." Never good, never great. Delgado made numerous attempts to disguise his emotions from the public eye. That didn't always mean that he was successful. Easily he could grow flustered when put on the spot or addressing certain people, or when his soft remarks were recognized by someone else. He was a massive hybrid creature with rolling muscles, but he was just a mess. A pacifist mess. "And you?"

Also sorry I thought I replied, hell.

"I'm good." she replied, she got a bit doubtful when he paused in his reply. But she wouldn't

bring her concern up, she wanted to make this a good experience, not an unwanted one or

an emotional one. "Have you seen the glowing lake yet?" she asked out of the blue,

if not she would think it would be fun to see him experience it. She liked making others

happy, it was just priceless to see someone have fun or have a smile on their face. Even

    if it was small.
