A general health check of the populace of the Thunderlands was probably very much overdue, and Regis decided that perhaps it was time to bring an end to that worrying trend. Setting up the necessary herbs and making the medical den a little cleaner he then opened things up before padding to sit by the entrance to the den.

"Come on over for a medical check up!"

He called out, hoping individuals would come forward with either bumps or aliments, or just needing to seek advice for that matter. He would try to attend to them all. Though he hoped that the medic apprentices would also join him and would lend a paw or two, if anything to give them some hands on experience.

Her ears twitched and she made her way to the medical den at Regis's call.

"Here to provide some help if needed." she commented, wagging her tail lightly in

a friendly greeting. She remembered when there wasn't a medic at all for some time at

one point. It was chaotic. So she was happy that it was back and happier she was apart

    of it.

  • SHOW ME HOW TO LIE YOU’RE GETTING BETTER ALL THE TIME — havana — thunderlands — tags

the female would slowly approach, nervous about her first real day of being a medic. she didn’t know what to expect, much less what she was doing. "i’m here." she stated as she sat down beside the pair. // rushed

  • Nostrils flaring at the sight of a few medically inclined individuals, Feliks approached like a dog in trouble. Even if he trusted the Thunderland's healers, there was something still horrifying about needing a check up, but he seemed to be the only one around at the moment. Standing out like a deer in the headlights, the wolf decided to avoid having to toxically decline the gesture, facing it head on despite his concerns. Take it easy was a common phrase he heard but it wasn't as easy it sounded. "I'll just take some poppy seeds and be on my way if that's ok," he rasped, offering a less than stellar smirk to the three.

She was not an official medic, but Regis had offered to teach her some about herbs. Her interest was what brought her over, and she placed herself silently off to the side. She knew this was not a place for her to jump in, this was for the real healer apprentices. Bei simply wished to watch from the sidelines and learn what she could.

RUMMAGING FOR ANSWERS IN THE PAGES

  • The mutt padded over, standing behind Feliks. Sadness radiated off of the canine, but his blue eyes gleamed as he attempted to cover up his emotions. There was nothing physically wrong with him, so he honestly did not know why he walked over.

  • The wolfdog didn't feel ill, nor was he visibly injured, but he still found himself arriving at the gathering around Regis for a checkup. He had checked into his wound on his muzzle, which was merely a scar that hadn't progressed into an infection, thankfully. There wasn't much to do for that, unfortunately, so he would have to live with the dreadful mark that he believed made him hideous. As of late there was a soreness in his forepaw, and Delgado wanted to investigate whether or not any precautions were to be taken. It wasn't enough to make him hobble around, but it wasn't something he could very easily avoid. The hybrid padded over and took a seat, wondering whether he ought to announce his concern right now or wait for his turn, if the medics were already addressing another.

"Havana, Nymeria, Beijingpaw; glad you're all here, thank you. This will be a good place for you all to learn some first hand techniques and assessments regarding patients."

Regis nodded approvingly as he looked at the three ladies before he turned to look at their first patient. It was Feliks, and he seemed to be requesting poppy seeds. The lion furrowed his brow in a questioning manner as he regarded the wolf with sudden suspicion. Though this would be an ideal opportunity to teach his apprentices an important lesson in dealing with suspicious cases and addicts.

"You don't have any visible wounds, Feliks. Why do you need poppy seeds?"

He wouldn't prescribe them until he was sure that they were being used accordingly.

Looking to Samuel and Delgado he began to wonder if they needed a check up as well. Might as well, if worst came to worst he could get the apprentices to check for fleas and ticks at least.

"Sam, Delgado, would you like to allow my apprentices the opportunity to check you over? They could benefit from all the experience they can get."

  • With a small nod, Samuel would agree to Regis’ request. As far as he knew, there was nothing wrong with this body that the Whisps had put him in. Although, he was very itchy. In his german Shepherd body, he caught the occasional flea, but this body seemed to have quite a bit.

  • His golden gaze moved from Samuel and back to Regis at the head medic's remark, and his response would be no different than his father's. "That would be fine," Delgado barked plainly with a shrug of his broad shoulders as he looked over to the other medic apprentices that volunteered to assist with the check-ups, his mother included. He didn't feel that he had fleas or ticks crawling about his body, but it would serve him well to at least be confident in the statement. Besides, he needed to address that soreness to one of the apprentices if they could assist.

with a nod, havana would glance at the pair before moving to samuel who she thinks was here first. "so samuel, is there anything that has been bothering you lately? or are you just looking to be checked over?" she would begin as she glanced at the mutt, looking him up and down. upong her inspection of him, she could see where he had been scratching at himself and biting the fur. turning to regis she would ask him, and also directed towards samuel, ”are you itchier than normal samuel? it seems as if you have more fleas than normal. is this bothering you to the point where it’s unbearable?” she would ask as she looked to regis first for approval, then to sam to see if this was the case.

She looked to the patients and dipped her head to Samuel and Delgado.

Her family. It seemed Delgado wasn't being checked over so she moved towards

him, "Alright, I'm going to check your fur first for anything like pests." She

warned before inspecting his fur gently and carefully for any pests since there wasn't

any wounds. She smiled to him. "It seems you look fine on the outside! Do you

have any pains? Or any symptoms to share?" she asked cheerfully.

  • The hybrid straightened himself at Nymeria's approaching him in order to help her get a closer look. He nodded at her remark of no pests running about his hulking body, already aware that he most likely wasn't infested. Other symptoms? Only one, the sole symptom on his mind. "My paw's been feeling sore as of late," Delgado began, raising his right forepaw towards the medic apprentice. "I figure a bit of rest would do it well if there aren't any precautions to take?" He was genuinely unsure on the matter, bearing no experience with medicine or healing whatsoever. No amount of reading could teach him the ropes of becoming a feral doctor and brilliantly working with herbs.

  • The dog shook his head slowly when Havana asked if there was anything wrong with him. Does an achy heart count? he thought.

Sam had zoned out for a moment, but her sudden questions popped him back into reality. Itchy? “Yes. The damn Whisps put me in this body last night and it’s as if it’s covered in fleas.” he said, his tone borderline a growl. Thats all he had done since waking up was scratch.

  • Tiger and Agate were on a walk around the territory, only occasionally stopping to flirt and playfully nudge each other. They looked like the annoying couple in the hallways at school, constantly slipping sweet talk into otherwise normal conversations, never able to stop looking at each other with those absolutely smitten heart-eyes. It didn't help that they literally had gemstones sticking out from their bodies, but they were constantly being stared at for their PDA. It appeared, though, that they didn't notice.

The two had been walking for a good thirty minutes before they stumbled across the medical check up. The two snapped out of their disgustingly sweet act upon joining the scene and decided to walk up to the group(well, to out it better, Tiger Eye started walking over without warning and Agate went with it). Tiger Eye strode into the group with no hesitation while Red Agate trailed behind, looking for any familiar faces. "What's up? What are you all doing?" Tiger Eye asked to the group, not caring who answered.

Red Agate, now by Tiger's side, nudged her. "Be more polite about it, dear," she scolded lightly.

Peering over at Havana and Sam he tuned into their conversation and pulled a face when he saw the evidence of fleas on him.

"I recommend using the age old method of mouse bile, or use fresh garlic. Rub onto the skin and if using the garlic ensure you thoroughly coat the fur too. It will need to be done for a couple days to ensure the fleas are repelled."

He spoke up before shifting his attention to Nymeria and Delgado.

"How long has the pain been there? Nymeria, touch around the joint and gauge the level of swelling. Though perhaps a dose of ginger and white tree bark will aid in the recovery, at least for reducing inflammation."

Turning to Tiger and Agate, individuals who he had not yet had the pleasure of interacting with yet, he then offered them a smile.

"Medical check ups. It's important that a clan is kept healthy, and it is a good opportunity for my apprentices to get some hands on experience."

She glanced over to Red Agate and Tiger Eye as they approached, pulling her attention away from the two medic apprentices and what Regis was saying about herbs. Bei had met them once or twice and they seemed interesting, at the very least. "Either of you have any ailments?" She'd ask simply, because it seemed like the thing to do.

RUMMAGING FOR ANSWERS IN THE PAGES

  • Tiger and Agate turned to the unfamiliar male who explained the importance of health and hands on experience. Tiger didn't seem to be paying attention, instead finding herself focused on all the other various, interesting tasks that seemed to be happening in the group. Red Agate, on the other hand, was sat nodding in agreement with Regis. "Alas, practice makes perfect. I don't believe we've met, I'm Red Agate and this is Tiger Eye." The husky, noticing she wasn't paying attention, nudged Tiger after introducing her, and the feline turned to Regis and Agate. Though before she could say anything, the two were greeted by another.

Red Agate smiled warmly at Bei's question and shook her head. "Not that we know of," she answered.

  • He shifted uncomfortably as Regis questioned him. This was why he didn't like seeing medics, they either: didn't care, cared too much, or were too nosy for him to feel content answering. Even if he acted like an open book there were still things he was reluctant sharing, the extent of his various problems one of them. "I got general aches and pains all over Doc. Nothing too serious, but I could do with that extra bit of pain relief to help me uh, sleep and stuff like that," he replied, a brief glance being offered towards the rest of his clanmates who were more keen to get themselves looked at. Freaks, he mused, a nervous smile briefly washing over him. Of course potentially fatal illnesses wouldn't go away by ignoring them and the ones who could treat them, but he still didn't see how one could be happy to get prodded when they could be diagnosed with a brain tumour or something. "I... I guess you could do a checkup if you don't believe me, but don't get too disappointed when you can't find much," he joked to try and cheer himself up.

  • R E G I S

"I think this is our first real interaction, yes. I am Regis, it's a pleasure to meet you both."

The lion replied before he offered them a quick and polite bow. Though his attention was soon drawn back to Feliks and he couldn't hide the suspicion glowing within his eyes. He didn't like handing out pain killers out without any solid reason to do so first, last thing they needed were addicts munching through dwindling supplies. The poppies weren't seeding yet, and he wasn't about to offer up the few buds of weed he had hidden away in storage to him either.

"Feliks, supplies are running low. I can't just hand out herbs and seeds like candy. If you're desperate for the poppy seeds then I will need to perform a quick physical check on you. This can either happen here, or inside the den if you prefer privacy."
