  • Current Setting///

The day is dreary, clouds flood the skies above covering the forest in full shade. It won’t rain, but that doesn’t change the fact that it’s a gloomy day.

    —-

    Riverpack/// Current plot

Waking up and starting to move around, a hunting patrol is about to be sent.

    Invading pack/// Current plot

Making camp on the very outskirts of the territory near the border. Much of the same of wolves awaking and preparing.

  • ———

  • Itsu

Shortly after waking, Itsu was trotting happily towards his sister. He passed by his alpha and half-brother and, like the submissive wolf he was, dropped his head and tail to the ground. He pinned his ears back out of instinct and gave a small woof of greeting. Once he was a few tail-lengths away, he popped right back up to his full height and loped towards Pitter. "Morning," He barked with a wag of his tail, lowering his head to sniff at the antler she had her jaws around.

    Leotie

The beta snored softly in her den, her chin resting gently on her beige forepaws. Her ears flicked slightly, picking up the sounds of her pack arising for the day. With a small groan, she opened her amber eyes and pushed herself to her paws, letting out a long yawn. As she stepped out into the sunlight, she winced in response to the brightness and allowed her gaze to travel over the camp, observing the activities.

  • The River Pack

    Itsu

The young male flinched at his sister's outburst before relaxing, seeing as she had calmed down. His mouth began to salivate at the thought of a hunt and he gave a soft whine. "Do you think they would let us come?" He anxiously kneaded his paws into the ground, his tail wagging excitedly. They were only a couple of months away from being full members of the pack, having trained for ten months already. Surely the pack would see the value in bringing them, right?

    The Invading Pack

    Enola

The rusty-brown female sauntered towards the others, a half-eaten hare dangling from her jaws. She had discovered it farther down the borders of the River Pack's territory with a couple of crows devouring it. So, she had easily stolen it from them. She cast a warning glance at those surrounding her, ensuring nobody would attempt to steal her meal. Quickly, she dropped the crow-food on the ground and snapped tendrils of flesh off of it, gulping them down as fast as she could.

    Helaku

"Well, this is boring," The white male muttered, resting his head on his paws as his icy blue gaze wandered over the group. When were they going to attack? He needed a real den, with real shelter from the brisk wind. Some real food wouldn't hurt either. They've been scavenging for what felt like forever, while planning this assault. He groaned and rolled onto his back, attempting to stretch his muscles.

  • Snowsong

Snowsong turned her head to see her mate beckoning her over. She gave the softest of smiles before padding over to him, giving a lick on his shoulder. "Good morning." She said in her warm voice. She yawned, displaying longer-than-normal canines.

    Horus

Horus woke as he heard the sounds of the pack waking up. The older male hauled himself to his feet, his back legs shaking a bit. He shook moss out of his fur and found his way over to Raven, sitting next to the female, his eyes watching. Keeping guard was almost ritualistic for him.

  • -

  • Itsu

The dark grey canine eased himself onto his belly and sprawled out, stretching his forepaws out in front of him with a satisfied sigh. He gave a huff of amusement at his sister's remark. Pitter had always been the dominant one of the litter; she definitely would be one to give Arcturus a "scolding." He himself never had any desire or necessity to show his superiors any disrespect. He was born a follower, and that's all he would ever be. "I don't doubt that," He responded light-heartedly, giving his littermate a toothy grin.

Thyme rummaged through his stash of herbs and webbing taking not on what he had and what he needed though thankfully it seemed the stock was alright. ears flicking he turned his head to see his daughter sleeping peacefully. with those carcasses showing up on the borders edge his poor child had been working herself to death to try and catch who was doing it. She was a good girl. with a sigh he moved out to the others of the pack looking around as he did ensuring no one was limping or ill looking. Slowly he set down with a sigh though his stomach rumbled he had no plans of leaving his sweet daughter alone though she was a adult to him she was still his pup and it would be the devil that would get by him to wake her up.

Arum sat outside the temporary den a large cave that had belonged to a bear, keyword being had. It was shabby but would work for a base of operations for now. He moved out of it looking at his pack. Their numbers were growing, and they were hungry from the lack of prey in their territory. He was doing what he could for them and if that meant killing another pack then you would be silly to think he wouldn't do it. His head turned as he heard the foot fall of his only child approaching from the packs edge her coat stained with the scent of spoiling meat from crossing over it to block her smell from the river pack. Under it all he could smell her heat not so unlike her mothers had been, still he knew his pack would behave around her after all he kills any male that dares to so much as whisper a sweet word let alone get close enough to touch her. As she approached he set down in a smooth manner. Cinnamon kept her pale cold brown eyes to the ground not daring to look at anyone as she passed them by approaching her father. "I am sorry I was away for so long. The deceased prey is attracting more unsavory characters to their lands I've noticed a increase in poisonous snakes by the rivers, Badger dens encroaching the hunting grounds. less prey as well. As for illness none has set in yet but it can't be far away."

The tall male smiled to his daughter as she spoke of the inconveniences he was bringing to the river pack his plan setting into motion nicely. "Good girl you can help us bring down something to eat then seeing as you know the areas best." He moved to stand releasing a long beautiful song for the pack to come gather around and ready themselves for a hunt. eyes like two October moons looked down at the young female licking her head as he walked by seeing her flinch slightly. "After you eat I want you to head back out." She bowed her head to him turning to take point she moved tot he packs head and began scenting the grounds it took them away from the river packs border to a large open plain where a herd of deer ate peacefully. She moved down her tail flicking to tall the others to break into a horse shoe formation in the tall grass. She was a good huntress a even better tracker and even better than that at fighting well she was her fathers offspring after all.

  • Enola

The light brown female looked up from the scrap of bones now at her paws, her ears pressing forward to find the source of the howl. Swiping a tongue across her muzzle, her gaze landed on the pack's alpha and she obediently approached him, head lowering instinctively. Her eyes dropped to the ground as she passed by him, tucking her tail slightly between her legs before bursting into an easy jog behind his daughter. This meant a hunt, and hunting meant food. At Cinnamon's signal, she veered off to the left, keeping her body low as she bounded through the tall grass with her tongue lolling out the side of her mouth.

    Helaku

Helaku lazily lifted his head at the call of Arum and groaned quietly to himself. While he was indeed starving, he was less keen on doing the actual hunting. With a grunt, he lifted himself to his paws and made his way towards the pack, following suit. His gaze lingered on the alpha's daughter before he veered off to take position in the hunting formation. Sure, she was a pretty wolf, but he knew what happened to any male who tried to breed with her. His life was worth far more than any female. He would find some other damsel to bear his pups, he decided. He glanced towards the wolf known as Raven as he ran; she would make a fine candidate.

the deer will be rounded from the herd in a heart pattern the slower but stronger wolves will remain at bottom of the heart coming up in a V shape that will close in around the as they reach them Aiming for the neck.

Cinnamon looked over her shoulder to make sure the pack was dividing nicely catching sight of her father running the other side. She loved hunting, the pack moves fluidly as a single killer, paws falling in line making a sweet drum like rhythm. Ears flicked to the deer the bucks were wary but didn't quite know what was there yet thier long graceful legs moved in a antsy manner. 'Hesitation will be the death of anything this pack had its eyes on.' She paid no more mind to her season this was work and if they failed the punishment would fall harshly onto her as she is leading it. As they approached through the grass she looked back at the wolf behind her, the females voice barely a whisper as she saw her fathers signal on the other side. "They are going to target the fatty old doe closes tot he outer ring, our target however." She canned the bucks always a doe and a buck between them there would be enough meat for the pack. Her brown eyes paleing out into the lightest shade of brown set coldly onto the oldest looking buck. he had a full set of horns but she wouldn't look away from the meat that moved under his shabby coat. "Him the one with the most points, it will be dangerous but as long as no one messes up the horns wont matter." she looked back or a moment seeing it was wren Well he wasn't normally one for taking orders but if he wanted food after three days of not having it then he would follow through. "We will take a heart shaped formation separate the two and drive them back o the the others who will close in and aim for the throat." Her orders were given she communicated it over the feild with a vocal knowing it would set the deer off and start the game. Ears back she lunged forward as the deer lunged into a run thier braying vocals a leasing sound that only drove her hunger.

Arum took lead on the other side his ears flickign as he kept a eye on his daughter seeing her communicate through her tail and ears. with a soft breath he focused on the deer setting onto a fatty old doe. This herd was healthy so this wouldn't be easy but it was doable He sent the signal back to his daughter who gave him the clear as well as the pattern they would use. It made him smile she was truly a cold blooded hunter. As she sounded out the call to start he lunged forward. his long legs gliding smoothly as he snarled and barked out for the pack to line up keeping a few at the back to rush the two deer when they got them turned around. Cinnamon moved into a wide swing at the same time he did driving through the herd without a sliver of fear in either of them parting the two deer and sending them back towards the packs teeth while they kept them moving. this is what he would call a old kill, when the prey are surrounded and have no way to go other than to the packs teeth though they would struggle which would result in a harsher death for both the old doe and the older buck. "Avoid those antlers rather turn them towards the doe he can help us out a bit!" He spoke with venom and joy on his tongue looking over at his daughter to bit and snapped her teeth at the buck keeping him in a tight spot even as he kicked out. He truly was proud of what he had created smirking as she moved to the inner side between the buck and doe dropping back as he wielded his antlers towards her missing her but striking the doe making her cry out and stumble slightly. Still he would never let anyone touch his child, she was his daughter, a precious jewel he would kill to keep pure. Even when running the two deer he was thinking and acting with ease with hsi daughter being in season surely the packs females wouldn't be to far behind and he already had his three targets picked out. Dubai, Isis, and of course Enola. Though if they wanted the rights to alphess they would have to figure it out among themselves. Snarling he snapped his teeth at the doe readying for the moment the pack lunged up.

  • Enola

The female focused on Cinnamon, awaiting any signal the alpha's daughter may give. She kept her eyes peeled and, seeing the signal and hearing the murmuring of words travel through the pack, she readied herself with a low growl. Pace slowing and muscles bunching, her gaze locked onto the doe stampeding back towards them with Arum at its heels. Enola pulled her lips back to reveal bared fangs, parted and ready. As soon as the buck barreled into the doe and caused her to stumble, the slender she-wolf corrected her angle and hopped forward. Upon coiling up her body, she shoved off with her hind legs and lunged towards the deer's throat, fangs sinking into her jugular and her paws scrabbling desperately to hang on.

    Helaku

The white-furred male tipped his chin up as his eyes locked with Raven's for only a moment. A small smirk pulled the corners of his mouth back before she dragged her gaze away. He turned to face forward once more, shaking out his pelt before zeroing in on the large buck. As it lunged and struck its fellow deer, Helaku dove to the left to dodge its swinging antlers. Snarling, he bolted forward and threw himself into the buck's hind legs in hopes of tripping the massive animal.

  • the moment the doe and bucks hips sank down under the weight of the wolves Arum and his daughter moved into a smooth fluid jump. Arum on the doe and the larger Cinnamon into the bucka back. This caused the prey to lose thier balance as the wolves dug thier nails in raking down, while teeth gripped the base of thier neck. The prey brayed out as the weights on thier backs and the teeth in thier bodies made them sink down further draging the wolves into the dirt. Arum snarled as he forced down his teeth closing viciously on the back of her neck refusing to budge until she was still. Ears flicking he looked at the female clinging to the does neck. "Are you alive down there?" He smirked jumping off the do and ripping into its still warm body taking the best of the meat and organs before walking off to pick his cost clean.

The buck managed a few feet further colapsing at last. The moment he was down Cinnamon ripped out his jugular leaving a slight mess as he kicked and fought for breath she pressed down keeping him as still as possible until his kicks became less and less powerful. The moment he wasn't trying to fight she tore into it not minding he was still alive as it was best not to let death spoil the flavor. Like her father she ate the best parts before back off. As he went to lay down she raised her head letting off the call that they had good and the pack was to come eat. Finally she moved away to rest laying down with s full stoumach felt great though she knew she would be leaving again soon.

  • Enola

The female squeezed her eyes tightly shut as she dangled from the thick doe's neck like a dead leaf on a tree. When she finally felt the weight shift on the doe, she opened her eyes to find her alpha on top it, ripping into its hide. As if the sight fueled her with energy, she clenched her jaws tighter around the deer's throat until the weight of the wolves finally brought the beast down. She hit the ground alongside the prey, only releasing when Arum felt comfortable enough to step off of the bloodied body. She panted heavily as she scooted away to allow him to feed first, swiping her tongue across her bloodied muzzle and fangs.

    Helaku

The impact of the buck's powerful legs was a painful one, but he had braced his body as best he could. It was successful in knocking the deer off balance, and with Raven's ankle bite and Cinnamon leaping onto its back, the animal was a goner. The white-furred male tumbled into the dust before coming to a stop on his side, dirt flying around him. His chest rose and fell with each gulp of air he inhaled as he lay sprawled out, attempting to compose himself before joining the pack. Helaku heaved himself to his paws and slowly made his way back to the meat while masking a slight limp from the impact. His white fur was covered in a layer of brown dirt, a grooming nuisance he would tend to later.

    Interaction: Talia

Wolfen approached the young patroller Talia. He noticed she seemed to be relaxing. He wasn’t one to tread lightly towards others. Wolfen seem to have no fear at times. He cleared his throat to grab her attention. He hadn’t spoke a word yet. Wolfen’s yellow eyes were full of what appeared to be warm.

The quiet female was slowly waking. She made her way out into the open. Aura had glanced around the den area. She had noticed a hunting party had left.
