  • (I am so sorry for the late reply, this week has been crazy)

The Queen laid in the bed her eyes following Amara’s every moment. Even though she was no doubt tired her eyes still seemed to hold the same edge they always did. Thana smiled a bit to herself seeing the dark flush on her cheeks seeming to know full well what she was doing to the Elf. Still, she seemed to be genuinely pleased when Amara accepted her offer. Giving a soft hum in response she closed her eyes as Amara left the room stretching out on to the bed.

Hearing the door open again she opened her eyes again to watch her make her way back across the room. The demon stayed silent as she laid herself down on the bed. “Of course, dear. I quite enjoy your company.” The Queen gave a sweeter smile her fangs becoming more visible now. She yawned lightly breaking her smile for a moment. Blinking her eyes she laid her head back against the pillow. Making herself comfortable she seemed to be ready to fall asleep before she suddenly opened her eye again seeming to remember something.

Yawning again she used her hand to hide it before pushing herself into a sitting position. Her dark studied Amara for a moment before she leaned down and planted a kiss on her cheek. “Good night.” Thana said softly before lowering herself back down to her pillow. Thana’s eyes slid closed again and after a couple of moments her breathing quieter as she started to drift off to sleep.

  • (I understand, I've had some crazy weeks as well)

Amara felt her blush grow a bit at the Queen's response, attempting to bury her face into the pillows for a moment as she attempted to recompose herself. After a few moments she extracted herself from the pillow, laying on them rather than hiding in them. Her face might've been under control now, but her heart was still attempting to leap out of her chest.

The Elf let out a confused and curious hum when she saw Thana sit up, assuming that she was going to go to sleep. She wasn't far from rest herself, although all of her tiredness melted away in one single moment as she felt Thana kiss her cheek, the girl's mouth dripping open for a moment as her face was enveloped by a bright red once again. She was still and sputtered for a few moments before she blinked and hid her face in the pillows again.

She had a million thoughts running through her mind, although a yawn was enough to set most of them aside for now. "Good night." She muttered in return, managing to settle herself down enough to close her eyes and let the sleep take her after a few more moments.

    (Timeskip to morning?)

  • Thana had found herself sleeping relatively peacefully, still before any knock came at the door she found herself compelled to wake up. Slowly her eyes slid open blinking as she saw how close Amara's face was to her own. Blinking her eyes a soft smile played across her lips before she pushed herself up in the bed yawning a tiny bit. She didn't bother to wake up the Elf laying beside her thinking it better to let her rest. Pulling herself out of the bed Thana moved silently across the room after the adjusting the loose rob back over her shoulders. She glanced ocer her shoulder at Amara sighing softly. Sitting herself down on the vanity studying her own reflection touching her cheek as she saw the slight red tint to her cheeks.

Dropping her own hand she opened a drawer at the vanity pulling out the box that held the strange stone. Holding her hand over the box lid for a moment she closed her eyes and the box's exterior began to shift and morph as the she slowly pulled her hand away. The box's edges were now sealed completely besides a single opening that looked like a keyhole. Slowly she put the box up again.

Taking a brush out of drawer she started to brush it through her hair, smiling a little. As she hummed the tiniest bit the demon then set the brush down closing her eyes. She would have some time before the servants came to wake her.

  • Amara's sleeping mind seemed to notice when Thana left, a small frown on her face as she searched for the missing warmth of the demon. She didn't wake up yet though, settling back down after she had buried in her face into Thana's pillow. It wasn't until a few minutes later that the Elf's eyes slowly opened up and she yawned.

She sat up and stretched as another yawn escaped her, blinking and rubbing her eyes as she looked around for Thana before she spotted her. "Good morning my queen." She said, smiling and giving the other woman a small wave as she slid out of bed. She did another small stretch once her feet hit the floor, soon walking over to Thana with a small yet noticable sway in her hips.

"So what's on the agenda today my queen?" Amara asked curiously as she looked herself over in the mirror and straightened up her hair for a moment before looking back at the demon. "More meetings? Ooh, or maybe more hush hush on a need to know basis stuff?"

  • The demon glanced at the Elf through the mirror. She hummed after a moment raising her hand to wave in return. "I'm sorry if I woke you dear." She said softly setting the brush down on the vanity. Her black eyes followed Amara as she stood up and came over to stand behind her. Thana was paying careful attention to her movements as she made her way over. A slight smile came over her features before going back to look back at her own reflection in the mirror. The Queen seemed to think for a moment running her fingers through her dark hair thinking for a couple heartbeats. There was an amused smile on her face hearing how curious Amara sounded.

"I am having an audience with Lady Aella this morning and then I must go oversee party preparations." She explained with a slight sigh not looking forward to what the day had to offer. There was a soft knock on her door. The demon turned to glance at the door for a moment fixing her rob on her shoulders. "Enter." She ordered simply as the door was slowly cracked open and a servant's face peaked through looking inside cautiously.

When the Queen waved them in three servants came bustling through the door. The Queen rose herself up as the servants came in with clothes for the Queen. "Would you like help getting ready?" Thana hummed to Amara before walking to stand behind the screen to change into the dress they had brought her. She threw the robe at one of the servant who fumbled to catch it and not let it hit the ground.

  • ooc: sorry for the long wait!

ic: Amara couldn't help but smile for a moment at the apology, waving it off as the watched the queen. She straightened herself up a bit, as much as she could anyway, as Thana answered her question. "You don't sound too excited about it, if you don't mind me saying." She spoke with a curious tone, although there was also a bit of concern there as well.

The Elf glanced at the servants as they entered, hiding a small smile as she watched them. She still wasn't used to seeing anyone serve anyone else, it was kind of funny in her opinion. "Hm? Oh, no my queen, I think I'll be able to get it." She nodded at the servants as she quickly made her way over to her room.

Once she had gotten inside and looked over her options she decided on a blue dress with grey accents, it looked rather official without looking too formal. She did want to put on a good appearance, after all she did follow Thana around all day. After a bit of real straightening up she soon left her room, ready to start the day.

  • The Queen peaked around the screen watching Amara walk into the next room before finishing getting dressed herself. A long black dress that had a low cut 'v'. It was as lavish as any of her other gowns. Her heels were the only noise in the room as she sat down and the servants buzzed around her putting the finishing touches before they were gone again without much of a word. Thana ran a hand through her sheer black hair studying her high ponytail in the mirror. Moving her eyes back to door that Amara had disappeared into. She smiled at the Elf stepping away from the mirror.

"If I am being entirely honest there is nothing I am dreading more then meeting with Lady Aella." Thana admitted now that they were alone. She didn't feel like letting rumors get spread around even though she made her distain to the Lady very well known. Clapping her hands briefly she gave Amara one more look. "Are you ready to go my dear?" She asked with a light smile on her lips before making for her way to the doors. Clasping her hands in front of her she made her way out in the hallway. She paused briefly before advancing down the winding hall. She held her head up high quietly humming to herself as walked.

She stopped as a large set of a dark colored doors seemed to pull themselves open. A tall thin woman appeared from out of the darkness. She had a thin face with an unpleasant air to her. She curtsied to the Queen frowning a little when she glanced at Amara before she walked forwards to stand beside Thana. "Good morning Your Highness. I am glad to have the chance to speak with you." The lady attempted to smile although it was useless since she had sharp sheer teeth hidden beneath her usual frown. "Of course Lady Aella." Thana didn't smile in return instead just walking ahead.

  • Amara looked the Queen over when she left her room, glancing away to hide the small blush that had arisen on her face. The Queen still mesmerized her, it would seem. She was quick to recompose herself however, reminding herself that they had a long day ahead and she couldn't be caught staring at Thana the whole time.

"Oh, well hopefully it won't be as bad as you think it will. Even if it is, maybe there's something afterward that'll cheer you up?" The Elf suggested, nodding in reply to Thana's question as she quickly followed her out of the room. She walked right behind the Queen, smiling when she heard the humming.

Amara glanced at the doors with a small shiver, there was something rather ominous and foreboding about this whole debacle. It had hardly even begun as well! The Elf nodded did a small curtsy when she saw the other woman, biting her lip in reaction to the frown. She hadn't done something wrong, had she? She was snapped out of her thoughts when Thana started walking again, soon falling into place behind her and glancing at the other woman nervously.

  • Thana briefly glanced over her shoulder to Amara, her features softening a touch before she turned back around when the Lady's shrill voice came again drawing her attention again. "Your Grace, don't you think its time for some progress to be made? We have been too soft on the mortals." She stated it as if it was a simple fact and there was no question about it. Lady Aella then looked to the Queen's other side to Amara her mouth twisting into a disapproving frown. Thana slowly turned to look at the demon her dark eyes holding an edge. "You think I am too soft on them do you? What sort of progress would you want to make?" She questioned with a critical undertone.

"Raiding for mere energy sour-" The Lady cut herself short glancing between the Queen and the Elf clearing her throat before starting right back up again. "Raiding for resources. Instead we should be working to show our dominance to this puny creatures." Aella said with full confidence in her words. Thana halted in her steps clasping her hands in front of her together deadly calm at the moment.

"I'm sorry to say, but I am not going to change my policy. Things are fine as they are so, I will not change things now." The Queen resumed walking again frowning again when she heard the hurried footsteps of Aella still following after her. Narrowing her eyes a little the Queen looked ahead trying to ignore the demon since she had become quite the annoyance to her already. Standing tall she sighed hearing Aella continue to yammer on about other issues she felt were dire to be celebrated.

  • Amara smiled slightly when she saw Thana look at her, however it quickly faded as she glanced back at Aella. She decided that she didn't like her, especially since the Queen didn't seem too enthused. The Elf couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at the complaint, seeing as she'd been through one of their raids firsthand, she thought they were being rather aggressive. Thana's tone with Aella made her shiver, and she almost pitied the demon for a moment. Keywords being 'almost' and 'a moment.'

She gulped slightly as Aella cut herself off, trying to keep a straight face as she thought on that for a moment. Energy sources? What sort of energy, and what for? Suddenly she felt very lucky that the Queen decided to...keep her? That didn't sound right but the Elf wasn't sure what else she could say about it. She snapped out of her thoughts as Thana stopped, looking at her curiously.

She blinked and hummed in surprise for a moment at Thana's decision before she started following her again. The Queen was still full of surprises it would seem. Amara only half listened to the other issues Aella brought up, glancing at the two demons curiously as she walked.

  • The exchange was grating on the demon queen who’s eyes were narrowed to slits as she stared ahead while the woman continued to talk, talk of change, talk of bettering the lives of demon kind. It all sounded very noble, but it was all growing rather urksome to Thana. Still she managed to resist the urge to immediately end the conversation until

Aella started to drift her conversation slowly back towards the prisoners that had been brought back from the mortal world. “Just exterminate them all...” the thin demon’s words hung in the air as Thana stopped again. The demon queen’s mouth fell into a sharp jagged line and she briefly glanced back at Amara before gently seizing the girl’s wrist and bringing her closer. Her eyes were turning crimson red as she turned back to the lady who now seemed to know she had taken a step over a line she shouldn’t have cross in the first place.

“Repeat that again for me.” She said with a frigid tone. Aella cleared her throat trying to by herself a little bit of time before having to open her mouth again. “Maybe it would be better if you disposed of the less useful ones at least.” It was a timid squeak compared to her high pitche she had before. Thana gave a short humorless laugh. “You are more then right.” She looked to the ground her finger tracing a line towards the ground. There was a slight groaning from the stone as it started to crack and sprinter a large straight crack forming right under Aella’s feet. The demon jumped back as Thana quite literally drew a line. “Aella, sweetling, your heart is in the right place, but nothing else is. Stop wasting my time to run your mouth.” The rock gave another groan as the crack grew wider.

The queen turned herself away still holding on to Amara’s wrist to make sure that she did not end up being pulled into the growing hole in the floor. The demon stepped away blinking as her eyes slowly started dissolve back into the dark color they normally were. “Are you alright?” She asked to Amara glancing down the hall as Aella struggled to try and seal up the crack that was growing wider and wider and inched closer every step she scrambled back. Thana sighed a little waiting a few more moments before turning to continue walking away. Waving her hand in the air the crack slowly disppeared restoring itself back to normal as soon as Thana had left the hall.

  • After listening to Aella for a while, Amara soon fell into a similar state as Thana; only really half listening hear and there as she idly watched where she walked. She'd been bored before but this was something new, and the issues she did pay attention to didn't seem all that urgent to the Elf. She barely even noticed that Aella had changed topic until she heard what she said about extermination, stopping right before Thana did with wide eyes as she looked at both demons. Amara felt her wrist get grabbed and she eagerly scooted a bit closer to Thana, casting a glance at the Queen as her eyes changed color.

The Elf gulped at Aella's suggestion, idly wondering how useful she really was. That thought was cut off by her shiver in reaction to Thana's laugh, although she did gulp again and take a small step back when she heard the stone groaning. She was worried but she tried to calm herself, Thana hasn't harmed her yet so she had no reason to do so now right? Right. The Elf was surprised for a moment on how confident she was in that fact. She gasped in amazement as the stone cracked, blinking in surprise at the display of magic.

Amara glanced back at Aella for a moment before she was pulled away, her gaze instantly returning to Thana. She smiled at the question and nodded, her face growing a bit red at the concern in the Queen's tone. The Elf looked back as the crack sealed, keeping up with Thana as she walked. Once they were out of earshot of the other demon Amara smiled again. "Well I can see why you weren't looking forward to that." She chuckled for a moment.

  • Thana couldn’t help, but smile a tiny bit to herself as she looked towards the elf. Rolling her eyes she gave a cautious look over her shoulder as if she expected to see Lady Aella make another appearance, but she sighed when she saw that she had stopped following them. ”I would love to simply sew her mouth shut or something. Then at least I wouldn’t have to listen to constant yammering.” She muttered mostly to herself. That was the problem with politics was mixed with powerful magic, it wasn’t considered proper to silence the opposition, publicly anyway. Her heels clicked with each step she took. Shaking her head the ribbon tying up her hair swayed with it. “It’s done now. What I have left on my schedule isn’t quite as bad.” She hummed as she started to walk again noticeably having much more energy to each step. Now that her most dreaded appointment for the day was over she was dreading the rest of day much less.

“My dear Amara, how do you feel about parties?” She asked ideally as she continued to loop through the halls. It almost seemed like the halls seemed to sprout off into more and more hallways, as if there was a never ending maze of them. The Demon Queen enjoyed the brief respite before she a purple ball of light caught her eye. Sighing she stopped opening her hand for the light to fall into. It unfolded itself to reveal the image of another demon looked nervously around. “Your Majesty please hurry, we are at a loss of what should be done.” The creature fretted ringing their hands together as they spoke. Thana nodded. “I will be there in a moment.” She reassured before turning to look at Amara still holding the glowing purple light.

“Would you like to hold it?” She offered the elf, her tone much softer and gentler then when she was speaking to her servants or Aella. The servant still projecting out of the orb had a quite confused look on her face. Thana caught the flicker of movement and touched finger to it, the demon disappearing leaving only the purple light. “It’s for communication. It of course isn’t supposed to be used for frivolous things like this, but others don’t think of parties as anything less then a life or death game.” Thana shook her head before turning to offer the orb to Amara.

  • Amara covered her mouth to hide the small giggle in reaction to Thana. She was happy that they were away from Aella for the time being. She didn't like it when the Queen...her queen...was unhappy or uncomfortable. It just didn't sit right with the elf for whatever reason, maybe it was fear, maybe she had just grown rather attached to the demon. Either way all that she really knew for was that she cared for the Queen. "That's good, maybe it'll even be a bit of a stress reliever for you." She said hopefully, smiling at Thana.

The Elf was confused by the question, looking back at the Queen for a moment as if silently asking for clarification. "Parties my queen? Um, well they're pretty exciting I suppose." She smiled as she continued, seeming to reminisce for a moment. "Singing, dancing, free food. I like them. My town used to have four or five parties a year you know, everyone would gather around and have fun. My favorite part was the big bonfire, especially in the winter." She looked back at Thana with a smile, however it faded for a moment when she saw the ball of light. "Whoa." She muttered breathlessly as she watched the conversation.

"Hold it? Me?" She blinked in surprise and looked at the orb, humming in surpise whenever the demon disappeared. She hesitantly took the orb into her hands, glancing up at Thana with a bit of surprise on her face. "Wait, what was that about parties my queen?" The Elf suddenly felt a lot less eager to attend this party that Thana had mentioned.

  • ( I am so sorry about the late reply, life kept getting really busy lately)

Thana had already turned to look further down the hall to where she could see servants buzzing about. She hummed lightly not acknowledging Amara’s question for a moment before she registered the concern in her tone. Glancing back she wore an amused smile on her thin lips. “A game of life or death, not actually of course. Some just treat it as such.” The Demon Queen offered a reassuring smile before glancing back down the hall. “We will make it fun one way or another.” Taking her hand she gave it a very light squeeze before she slowly turned around to look down the hall. “We should probably go before something blows up.” With the nonchalant answer she turned around, in fact she almost sounded enthusiastic about the idea of something actually exploding. She hoped that it would at least be a bit more lively that way.

As she walked her smile dropped and she became much more somber. A group of servants came bustling from a large set of black and red double doors. They halted seeing the Queen stopping to bow to which she only nodded. Moving into the masssive ballroom she stepped into the low lit room. It was a dark deep cavern although there were demons moving about without trouble. Sighing to herself she stepped inside the clicking of her heels echoing and bouncing off the walls. Serval heads swiveled aroound to stare at the Queen as she came in.

She paused briefly glancing back to the elf. “A little drab isn’t it?” She looked up to the dark walls and the high ceiling. She halted as the same nervous servant appeared in front of her bowing before quickly rising. “I’m sorry to rush you. You input is needed.” He stood up and hurried across the room while Thana strolled across the room at her own leisurely pace.

  • (I know what you mean)

Amara gulped again, offering the Queen a nervous smile in reply as she followed her. Although having her close was comforting, she was still rather concerned about this 'party' that she was about to attend. "B-Blows up?!" She doubted she could prepare herself for what she was about to go through but she tried steel her resolve anyway. The last thing she wanted to do was seem weak when she was surrounded by a bunch of demons, she subconsciously squeezed Thana's hand just a bit tighter at that thought.

She noticed the change in her mood but she didn't comment on it, finding most words dying in her throat as she thought of them. She gave the servants a respectful nod, still not used to seeing anyone bowing in her direction. She supposed she was technically below them right? She was a prisoner, right? Should she be bowing to them? She shook her head to clear her thoughts as they stepped into the ballroom.

The Elf glanced at Thana as she spoke, only managing a small nod as she tried to ignore the stares. She was still next to Thana though, so she supposed that everything would be fine as long as she remained calm. She kept up with the Queen as she walked, staying a bit behind her as a sign of respect. She didn't want anyone to think that she and Thana were in some sort of relationship of course. Because they weren't. Obviously. Yep, that doesn't sting at all.
