  • Amara had been slightly surprised the knock but she didn't think too much of it, still adjusting herself in the mirror. When the Queen walked in the room however she quickly squeaked in surprise and stood up straight as she faced the Queen. She was a bit nervous as the other woman examined her, feeling very self conscious for a moment.

The nod made her relax a bit however, a relieved sigh silently escaping her. She didn't know why honestly, although she guessed it was a bit of an ego boost if a queen thought that she looked nice. The clothes were rather comfortable, and a bit higher quality than what she had on before. The Elf was shaken out of her thoughts at the order and quickly followed the Queen.

She looked around the room with interest, hoping that the Queen wouldn't think that she had been there before. However the Elf's interest was soon captured by the Queen herself as she sat down. Amara was quick to tear her eyes away though when she noticed the other looking her way. She was confused a moment at the order but she made her way over to the bed. She stopped short of it though, hesitantly pointing at it to ask for permission.

  • Thana looked at her for a moment giving a slight nod before turning her attention back to her own reflection in the mirror beginning to undo the ornate braid her hair had been tied into. Her fingers spun the hair loose and it fell into a thick curtain of night black hair that fell down her back. Once she had taken out her braid she removed the crown resting between her horns and laid it carefully on the vanity. She looked at her own reflection seeming extremely uninterested with it. Her eyes caught sight of the Elf that was sitting quietly on her bed. She pulled her hair back over her shoulder her claws tracing through the dark hair.

"Tell me about yourself dear." Her voice was quiet and smooth, sounding less snide then she had before. It was a strange request although the Queen did not act as if it was instead standing herself up. Her heels clicked as she walked across the floor her eyes seeming to be focused on the girl who seemed to have the Queen's curiosity at least. There was no clear indication on her face of why this might be.

Making her way closer she moved to sit on the same side of the bed. She continued to run her claws through her hair before leaning over to the night stand and picking up a silver brush that was laying next to it. As she began running the brush through her hair the Queen's black eyes fell back to Amara looking at her expectantly.

  • Amara gently sat on the bed once she saw the nod, noting how soft it felt. It didn't surprise her though, it was a bed fit for a queen after all. Heh. Atta girl, humor. After she had sat down she looked around the room a bit more, however her attention always seemed to wind up back at the Queen as she sat at the vanity. The Elf mentally chastised herself each time of course, but it was rather captivating for some reason.

The question and tone startled her for a moment but the Elf quickly recovered. "M-Myself?" She asked curiously, although her tone made it clear it was mostly meant for her own ears and not the Queen's. She thought for a moment as she watched the Queen sit next to her, finally responding.

"W-Well I'm afraid there really isn't too much to say, your highness." Amara began, glancing down at her fingers for a moment as she fiddled with them nervously. "I grew up in Wellsvale, it's a decent sized port city. I lived there for awhile until I moved away after my eighteenth birthday, but my parents and my older sister are still there. I moved to a small town not too far away but it is...well was a day's journey away. I worked there as a librarian for two years up until now, and that's about it really. I-I'm not that interesting really." The Elf let out a small nervous laugh.

  • The Queen listened her eyes remaining on her as spoke all the while brushing through her hair. Once she was finished the Queen looked away for a moment before setting the silver brush on the table. Rising again she positioned herself in front of the Elf. She cupped Amara's face in her hands again moving her gaze to look into her's. "I find you fascinating." Thana said in the same tone. While looking down at the girl a ghost of a smile was visible for brief moment before it was gone again. There would probably be demons who thought a madness had come over their Queen who was suddenly interested in a mortal when she had shown very little interest in anyone else before.

She moved one of her hands to brush away some of the hair that had fallen in the Elf's face. The Queen looked over her face for a while longer. She ran her hand over the same smudge that had been there earlier. For a moment her grip tightened on the girl's face before she released it. Any hints of a smile were gone. "I guess my requests were ignored." Thana's eyes turned towards the door. When they turned back her eyes were visibly becoming lighter, turning a light crimson red. Turning on her heel she moved swiftly towards the door. Pulling them open she motioned to the two guards posted there. She leaned forwards saying something quietly to both of them. Almost immediately they went off practically running.

Thana quietly shut the doors. One of the handles she was gripping groaned in protest and started to bind. The Queen stood by the door for a while longer, seeming to be putting herself back into a calm state of mind. She slowly turned back to Amara her eyes were back to being dark and still as they were normally.

  • Amara blinked as the Queen stood up, curious for a moment before the other cupped her face. The touch alone made the Elf shiver for a moment, although it didn't seem to be fear. The Queen's words however, turned the girl's face from pale to a bright red. Her breath had hitched for a moment as her wide blue eyes stared up at the Queen. No one had honestly said that to the young Elf before, especially not a queen.

Her blush remained even as the Queen pulled away, the Elf seeming to be lost in her own mind for a moment or two. The red eyes quickly snapped Amara back to reality though and she gulped, afraid for a moment that she had done something to offend the Queen. When the other walked away however she sighed in relief for a moment.

When the Queen turned back to her the Elf managed a small nervous smile in an effort to comfort the Queen, however her gaze shifted to the floor and her face grew red again as she thought. "N-No one has ever called me f-fascinating before..." She quickly added after a moment though. "Y-Your highness."

  • The Queen looked at the Elf and her nervous smile, it made the Queen's shoulders relax a hair as she gazed back at the girl until her eyes fell back to floor. When they did the Queen started to move herself back to the bed. She paused as Amara hastily added her titles to the end as to hopefully not offend her. This display seemed to quite please the queen. She gave a soft hum as she settled herself back on the bed beside her. "How unfortunate." She said shaking her head a little as she kept her gaze on the woman beside her. "That they can not see what I do." The Queen said rather earnestly still seeming transfixed by the Elf.

There was a shy knock at the door. "Enter." The Queen's tone became much sharper again. Slowly the door squeaked open and a servant came in carrying a pitcher of water and cloth. "Set it down and go." Thana said briefly to the servant dismissing him with a swift motion of her hand. The servant dared to look up for a brief moment seeming stunned when he saw the Elf sitting on the bed beside the Queen. "Go." Thana hissed rather harshly as the servant seemed to panic nearly dropping the bucket of water before turning and scurrying out the room like a frightened animal.

Sighing softly with the distraction gone she turned to look back at the Elf. She then bent over and lightly dipped the towel into the water. Ringing it out she moved closer Amara beginning to use the water to wash away the smudge from her face. "You will go where I go. So, you cannot appear dirty or disheveled." She informed plainly as she rubbed at the spots of filth on her face.

  • Amara kept her gaze on the floor until the Queen spoke to her again, her eyes quickly shooting up to meet the other's gaze. She bit her lip slightly as her cheeks reddened again. She didn't get too many compliments, being a librarian wasn't exactly a flashy job after all. Not a lot of people coming around unless they needed something.

The knock made her break her gaze as she glanced at the door, blinking in surprise as the servant entered. The look that the servant gave the pair startled the Elf for a moment. That was about the third time now that the Queen's staff had shown surprise at her presence. She was feeling a bit better about that now, a bit more special.

Amara's gaze followed the Queen's hand curiously before it rose to meet the other's again. The wet towel surprised the Elf but she didn't mind, leaning into the touch a bit to give the Queen a better angle. "I...I've read plenty of stories about you..." She admitted after a moment of silence.

  • Seeming quite comfortable with the silence she had simply continued to wash away the evidence of the raid of her village. She paused as she spoke. Taking a second to consider what she said the Queen of the Demons resumed wiping her face clean, her voice coming as she dabbed the last of the dirt away. “And what do they say? Do I live up to the stories?” The Queen asked actually visibly amused by the mention of the many stories that were spread about her. She found it amusing that the young Elf brought dared to mention them when several of the high ranking demons simply tried to avoid talk of any stories spread about her.

She paused as she examined Amara’s face. “Better.” Giving a slight nod she dropped the town back in the bucket. It splashed sending water flying all over the floor.

The Queen kept her gaze on the Elf that she couldn’t seem to look away from. Moving even closer still she smoothed a patch of hair which had stood itself up. Thana slowly dropped her hands back seeming still amused to a degree. “Should I consider you brave or foolish? No demon would ever dare think of speaking of what the mortals may think.” Although her words were a bit biting there no hostility in her eyes or expression.

  • Amara giggled for a moment at the question before she answered. "You've more than surpassed them your highness, they don't do you any justice." The stories seemed more like fleeting rumors and myths at this point, now that she had actually met the Queen. The Elf supposed it made sense though, seeing as most mortals didn't really know.

She smiled slightly and nodded. "Thank you your highness." She felt much better with clean clothes and a clean face now, almost brand new. The Elf returned the Queen's gaze, seeming to be in a similar position. She just couldn't look away...

The question surprised her, causing her to have to think for a moment. After a minute she shrugged as she spoke. "I'm not sure your highness, but either way I must say you've made my time here so far very enjoyable." She admitted with another small blush.

  • Raising her brow at the girl's giggling she nodded seeming satisfied. She had never fully come into the mortal realm in person, mostly for lack of time and desire to do so. Her soldiers did well enough making chaos on their own. "You are sweet to say so Amara." It was the first time the Queen had uttered her name, it fell off her lips just as easily as could be. The Queen bent over the side of the bed and began to pull her heels off. Setting them neatly on the side of the bed she rubbed her pale feet for a moment. Her dark eyes went back to look at the Elf as she did so.

She still seemed to get some enjoyment from spending time with the girl. She hummed a little as the Elf admitted the Queen had made her time enjoyable. "It is good to hear you are enjoying yourself a little." She stood up running her long nails once more through her hair. "I seem to enjoy your company." The Queen's black eyes gave her a once over nodding again in approval seeing that now she was now clean.

Thana then turned around and moved to the far side of the room. There was a changing screen that she ducked behind to slip out of the long dress she had on. The screen was rather thin, but paying it no mind the Queen went about changing into something looser.

  • Amara's breath left her again for a moment as she heard the Queen say her name. She had heard it plenty of times before, she wasn't sure why it seemed so special now. She quickly recovered though as the Queen turned away, happy to have a small moment to recompose herself.

The Elf just beamed in reaction to those words, and her older sister said she'd never have a monarch that likes her. Hah! She watched the Queen curiously as the other stood. When she realized where she was going however Amara looked away, not wanting to seem creepy.

The screen's thickness certainly didn't go unnoticed by the young Elf, a fact which had plunged her face into another sea of red. She stared at the opposite wall of the room, working to try and calm her blush before the Queen noticed and got suspicious.

  • The Queen was behind the screen seeming unconcerned by how uncomfortable the Elf in the room might be. Slipping out of the gown she shrugged on a loose rob. Tying it around the waist she reappeared from behind the screen pausing seeing just how red the Elf's face suddenly was. The demon pulled her hair to one side as she quietly made her way across the room seeming to make very little sound without her heels clicking as she walked. Making her way back to the bed she put herself in Amara's line of sight. "Something wrong?" Although her face showed no clear changes from the stone mask that it seemed to typically be her words had a bit of a playful tone. The Queen seemed aware of why the Elf was blushing.

After a moment she sat back on the bed adjusting her robe a little before turning her attention back to Amara. "Are you hungry or tired?" Thana asked as if she was still trying to guess why the girl was blushing. Really it was more of her way of checking if there was anything that she needed.

Without the slightest bit of warning the Queen fell back on the comforter behind her. Her long black hair fanned out around her head. His black eyes stayed solely on the Elf looking up at her.

  • Amara had barely noticed the Queen until she found herself suddenly staring right at her. The Queen had looked regal and powerful before of course, although now that the Elf saw her in less formal attire...well it certainly didn't help her blush. Whatever progress she had gained to get her face under control was reversed entirely. "U-Um n-no of course not your highness!" She squeaked out in reply, seeming to not notice the playful tone.

The Elf's gaze followed the Queen as she sat down again, both curious and nervous. "N-No I'm fine for now. Th-Thank you though your highness." She fiddled with her fingers a bit as she spoke, seeming to be a force of habit when she was nervous or embarrassed.

That movement stopped however when the Queen fell back onto the bed, the whole scene making Amara's breath catch in her throat. The Queen was just so powerful, so commanding, so...so..."Alluring." The Elf clamped her hands over her mouth and turned an even darker red. Had she just said that out loud?!?!

  • Quite comfortable where she was it mattered little to her if she still put up a regal facade in the moment. She had done so all day and enjoyed the brief moments of relaxation that were rare to come by. Although clearly seeing her this way was having an averse effect on poor Amara. Thana was silent closing her eyes for a brief moment as she took in the feeling of her muscled beginning to unwind themselves. However her momentary peace was quickly broken when she suddenly heard a word she hadn't at all anticipated the shy little Elf to utter.

Her ebony eyes opened once again and went right to her catching her as she clasped her hand over her mouth. It appeared as if those were really her words. Narrowing her eyes to slits she seemed to be judging her intent before she gently sat herself up not bothering to fix her robe as it slipped down her shoulder. Instead she moved closer to the woman and gently removed her hands that were clasped over her mouth. Gripping her hands she looked her over for a moment longer. "Lay down with me." The Queen ordered simply still holding her hands in her own before she let herself fall back on the bed.

Thana clearly knew what she was doing to Amara, but she seemed amused by her reactions all the same. She moved herself over enough to give the Elf room to lay down. Her clawed hands squeezing on to the Elf's hands encouraging her to lay back on the bed.

  • Amara was absolutely terrified for a few moments there, her blush being pushed back from her attention as the Queen looked at her. The demon had been so peaceful and relaxed, yet with one word that all seemed to come crashing down in an instant. She was honestly half ready to bolt back to the other room, however when the other took her hands she decided against it.

Although she was momentarily distracted by the robe slipping the Elf's attention was quickly back on the Queen herself as she heard the order, watching the other fall back again. She hesitated for a moment as she stared at the Queen, however she soon found herself laying right next to the demon.

Amara gazed at the other with a bit lip and a bright red face, almost not wanting to say anything to spoil the moment. She figured she should apologize...but the silence was rather preferable at the moment.

  • Laying on her back she waited still keeping her eyes on the Elf to see what she was going to do. When she laid back on the bed the Queen's black orbs watched her with vested interest. Her eyes studied the woman's red cheeks and bit lip, clearly uncertain what to do in the moment. Letting go of one of her hands the Queen moved a hand up to her face. She pushed Amara's hair away from her face her fingers trailing through her hair. A soft pleased smile, yes a rare smile, played across her lips.

She didn't seem keen to break the silence of the moment, content staring into her bright eyes. Still, after the lingering silence lasted for several long moments she gave a light yawn, the exhaustion of the day starting to weigh down on her. Skimming her hand briefly over Amara's bright red cheeks she then let her eyes close letting out another very quiet yawn.

"Is this uncomfortable?" Her red lips moved even though her eyes were still closed. Slowly she opened one eye to gaze over at her to gaze at her reaction.

  • The soft touch made Amara sigh for a moment, leaning up into it as she hesitantly returned the smile. She was a bit relieved that the other woman didn't seem too bothered by her slip up, although she had no doubt that it was going to be the last she heard of it. Still, she was fine for now and everything was calm again.

The Elf soon found herself yawning only a moment after the Queen did, although she tried to shake it off for now. Along with any thoughts of accidentally falling asleep with the Queen. The question confused her and she shook her head no as she replied.

"Oh no, not at all your highness. Everything is just perfect, it's not everyday I get to talk with a queen after all." She giggled for a moment at that thought, a small yawn leaving her again.

  • As she nodded her head the smile on her face disappeared as she yawned yet again. Stretching out her arms, she looked over at Amara hearing her tiny yawn as well. "It surprises me that you are not more afraid of me. I do not think anyone else would call a day spent with me perfect." The Queen studied the girl for a moment longer thinking for a moment. "You can leave if you like." Thana said rather simply as she sat herself back up for a moment. Lacing her hands through her hair she weaved the long black strands into a loose braid before tying it loosely.

Her dark eyes wandered back to Elf. Looking the Elf over she seemed as if she was trying to decipher something as she looked her up and down. "Or you can stay." The Queen said with a slight shrug giving the girl one last tiny smile reaching down and brushing the last bit of hair away. Looking down at the bucket of water that was still sitting there haphazardly she shook her head briefly.

Slipping off of the bed she stood beside the bucket, but did not make a move to pick it up. Instead she closed her eyes briefly. Once open again they were bright red. Her hands started to glow as she ran a hand through the air and the air crackled as a small portal, similar to what the demons came to mortal realm from appeared. She pushed the bucket over with her foot letting it and the water go tumbling into the abyss.

  • Amara hummed for a moment in surprise at that first remark, confusion washing over her face. "Really? I figured everyone would want to spend time with you." The Elf didn't see why anyone wouldn't want to. The Queen seemed rather nice honestly, once you got past the commanding aura and all that of course. She frowned for a moment at the thought of leaving, although that melted away as she watched the other sit up.

She thought that maybe she could stay for just a bit longer, if the Queen didn't mind of course. The Elf's smile returned when the demon spoke again, nodding in reply. "I would like to stay a bit longer, I-If you don't mind of course your highness." She felt a light flush come over her face but she ignored it.

The Elf gasped in surprise at the display of magic, staring at both the Queen and the portal in awe. "That is so cool!" She giggled, although she quickly recomposed herself. "I-I mean that was an amazing display my queen." Wait...her queen?

  • Staring into the inky black portal she turned to glance over at Amara at her suddenly giggling at her display. She quietly raised an eyebrow as she quickly composed herself after a moment. "My queen? Hm." She commented her hands lightly skimmed the surface of the portal. "Thank you. Maybe one day I can show where they lead." She offered blinking and her eyes bled back to their normal color. Once her eye color went back to normal the portal wavered before it began to shrink eventually disappearing all together. "They can be useful for getting things done quickly." The Queen hummed moving back towards the bed to settle down.

Laying herself back down on the bed she laid back on a large mound of pillows that she practically sunk back into. Letting out a soft sigh she closed her eyes for a moment. "I don't mind you staying at all. Make yourself comfortable." Thana waved her hand in the air clearly already making herself comfortable herself. With her hand lingering in the air she began to trace images above her head. First small lazy circles and then began drawing more complex things like rabbits or small creatures. The lines where her fingers traced the air. When she was done she waved them away before starting again.

She then looked over at the Elf for a moment before she began to trace more doodles in the air. She paused when she saw she had been drawing small hearts in the air. Clearing her throat the Queen calmly brushed them aside before going back to glance towards Amara letting out another soft yawn.
