  • Hello people of the Internet! I hope you're all having a lovely day! Anyways, onto the roleplay!

Plot: The world of Zyuria is in a state of relative peace. All races of the mortal plane coexist surprisingly well and thrive together. However, this peace has recently been interrupted by demon raids. Demons spew from seemingly random gates and portals, burning and pillaging anything in their path. My character happens to be one of the few mortals that are kidnapped by the demons. The roleplay will begin with my character standing in a line with other prisoners while your character(the demon queen/general/princess/etc.)examines the prisoners and picked my character out of the line for unkown reasons. Please post a form if you're interested! :3

  • Name: Queen Thana

    Gender: Female

    Species: Demon

Age: Unknown although she appears to be in her early twenties

Appearance: A slender woman she has pale skin with no blemishes that can be seen. She has rather dark eyes that appear almost black most of the time, but have been known to start to look red if she is upset or angry. She has long black hair that she wears in very ornate braids and hairstyles. She has pointed canines that can be seen when she smiles (which is almost never), long nails that appear almost like claws on her hands, and ivory horns a top her head.

Personality: Everything about her is rather cold and formal. She only wishes to be addressed by formal titles. She is rather unconcerned with other's feelings or motivations. She has proven to be rather cunning and ruthless.

    (I hope this is alright)

  • (Perfect! I'll go ahead and start)

Amara stood in line with the rest of the prisoners from her village. She was a bit dirty from the attack earlier, with a couple scrapes as well. She wasn't injured in any major way yet as she stood in line she was visibly shaking in fear, tears threatening to fall from her bright blue eyes. She had no idea what was happening, but it frightened her to no end.

  • As soon as news had come that they had brought in new prisoners the Queen heeded had decided to come see what they had managed to bring back. It was always fairly entertaining to see the tiny mortals afraid or even trying to act brave. Recently though, she seemed to be taking the time to look at every prisoner, as if there were something she was looking for specifically. The doors to the room were held open wide as the woman entered the room. Any demons in the room bowed to her and stayed that way until she flicked her hand for them to rise. Standing in the center of the room her face was completely blank as she saw the line of captitives. At first she didn’t seem extremely interested in any of them.

Still, her heels clicked as she moved her way through the line taking a moment to examine each mortal. Most her eyes only graced once, occasionally she would glance back at some. Still she never held her gaze there very long. Then she came to one that made her steps falter completely. A small elf that looked on the verge of tears. She stopped completely standing squarely in front of her.

Raising up a hand she motioned for one of the guards to come forwards. She turned away briefly to whisper something quietly to him. Once she was finished she stepped away from him her eyes briefly flashing. Without a second word she turned away leaving half of the line unseen. The Queen turned her gown spiraling around her. Just as quickly as she came she was gone. The guard looked over the Elf before grabbing her arm. “Come with me.” He said harshly before starting to pull her away from the line.

  • Amara did her best to silence her sobs as she heard the first heel click, she didn't even need to look up to know who it was. The demons bowing only confirmed her suspicions, and she hated being right. The Queen of demons, Queen Thana, was in the same room as she was. She had heard the terrifying stories of the Queen, that she was merciless and powerful.

These thoughts did nothing to quiet her fear, instead her eyes closed shut as she silently prayed to whatever being existed that the Queen wasn't as evil as the stories told. She was taken by surprise and dread however, when the Queen stopped right in from of her. The Elf didn't dare open her eyes to look back at the Queen, lest she wind up losing them.

The small sigh of relief that had left her as the Queen departed was cut short when she felt the guard's grip. She gulped as she obediently followed the demon, hiding her sobs and tears. She didn't know what awaited her, but she already hated it.

  • The guard pulled her from the room the doors making a heavy slam as they were shut. The guard paused bowing very briefly as high ranking demons came to see for themselves what had been brought back and claim what they wanted for themselves. Once the demons had passed the guard continued keeping a firm grip on the girl's arm not looking back at her once as they started to move again. The halls were mostly empty, although any demon they passed seemed to pay no mind to the Elf on the verge of tears, simply going about their days.

Making it a smaller set of doors he nodded to the other guards posted outside of it and the guards the doors open. The guard leading her roughly pulled her into the room. The room was mostly dark except for one large window on one wall, it showed the gloom and dark skies of the demon's domain. A large desk could be seen with a changing screen on one side and a mirror beside it. Off to the other side there was a bucket of water alone in the corner. The guard motioned to a chair expecting her to understand that he wanted her to sit.

The guard walked over towards the candle stand next to desk. He touched it of the candles, lighting each candle before he stood back straightening up as the door was pulled open. A tall thin female demon walked in her long onyx horns curling and twisted at strange angles. The woman walked in slowly before going to sit on the other side of the desk facing the frightened Elf. "Name." She commanded looking up at her, her voice flat while her eyes were cold and empty.

  • Amara did her best to keep her eyes on the floor as more demons passed by, going towards the other prisoners. As they moved through the halls she didn't look any demon in the eye, however she did glance up occasionally to see where they were heading and to study the architecture a bit.

As they finally reached the room she silently examined it for a moment, figuring it must be the belong to a demon in a high position. By the time she sat down her tears had calmed and she now waited patiently as the doors opened. However her tears soon resumed.

The Queen had a commanding presence to the Elf, something about her just made Amara shiver straight to her core. She regretted locking eyes with the demon as the other sat in front of her, for she couldn't tear her gaze away. She gulped when she was asked the question and hesitantly stuttered out the answer. "A-Amara C-Caiven ma'am..."

  • The Queen's dark eyes met the Elf's. The stone cold expression on her face did not change, even though it was a clear sign of disrespect among demons. She gave only a slight nod looking the Elf over connecting the name to the face very briefly. "Do not address me as ma'am, dear. I have earned my crown and the appropriate titles that come with them." Thana narrowed her eyes as pointed out what every demon knew and what she thought every mortal should know. The Queen sat for a few moments before she slowly rose herself to her feet. Her heels clicked again as she crossed from her side of the desk to draw closer to Amara.

"I assume you are familiar with who I am." She continued to speak as she drew ever closer. There was no other sound in the room except her voice and heels clicking on the floor. "Do not make the same mistake twice. I detest mistakes or missteps."

Walking to stand just in front of Amara she stood there for a moment longer before cupping the girl's face in her hand. The claw like nails lightly grazing her skin. "Do I make myself absolutely clear?" Thana asked her hand keeping the girl from looking away.

  • As the Queen began to speak Amara found herself hanging onto every word, although the intent behind the first remark made her sit up as straight as she could. There was just something so...mesmerizing about the Queen, something that soon became intoxicating to the young Elf.

She froze as the Queen stood and made her way over to her, her heart nearly pounding out of her chest as she tried her best not to burst out into tears. Her breath halted completely as the Queen took ahold of her chin.

She stared up at the Queen with a mixture of emotions, although fear was the most prominent one. For a few long seconds the Elf seemed to get lost in the Queen's gaze, however she quickly snapped out of it and replied. "Y-Yes, my apologies Queen Thana." The title and the name sounded much more natural coming from the elf than it should have.

  • The Queen seemed at least satisfied with her apology, although it was hard to tell at first since her expression didn't change all that much. Still though looking into her dark eyes there was the slightest glimmer of emotion visible before it disappeared. "Good girl." She spoke the words in a way similar to how a human would speak to their pet. Her eyes remained on Amara's face for a few drawn out seconds. Running her thumb lightly over one of the smudges of dirt she slowly released her grip on the girl's chin. The Queen could have spent much longer simply looking at the Elf, but she didn't have much time for gazing.

Looking away she glanced at the guard standing at attention, straightening up as much as he physically could when Thana's black eyes fell on to him. "Show her to her room now." She said rather dismissively before her attention went back to the frightened girl in front of her. "Change into new clothes. I will send someone to help make you look more presentable." Holding her gaze for a moment she then waved her hand dismissing them both.

The guard nodded before walking over to the Elf. He seemed to reach forwards to grab at her arm like before, but immedietly froze when the Queen cleared her throat staring daggers at the guard who slowly took a step back. "This way." He said simply before turning to walk towards the doors clearly more subdued in the presence of Thana.

  • Amara very nearly missed the slight glint in the Queen's eyes, it only lasted for less than a moment but she managed to catch it. If she hadn't been staring right back at the Queen she most likely would've missed it. Her tone and her grip on her chin made the Elf shudder for a moment as she pulled away, Amara quickly fighting off the small flush that resulted from that.

She was a bit confused when the Queen spoke again, this time with orders. The Elf was rather surprised by the order but didn't bother to question it, fearing what would happen if she did. The Queen had been merciful so far, and she didn't want to abuse that. She returned the Queen's gaze for another moment, pulling her eyes away after the other did.

Amara got up as the guard approached and froze right along with him, afraid for a moment that she was the one being reprimanded. She cast one last quick glance at the Queen before scurrying after the guard, eager to catch up so that she wouldn't be punished. The prospect of a room and new clothes sounded delightful yet puzzling to the young Elf.

  • The Queen watched them as they hurried out drawing a deep breath for a moment before squaring her shoulders as the door shut and she was left alone in the silence. The guard ahead of her was setting a brisk pace. When he looked back he narrowed his eyes in contempt at the Elf. "Move faster." He urged before continuing his brisk walk down the corridors. No matter how quickly she moved along it probably still wouldn't be fast enough for the guard who clearly just wanted to get this over and done with.

The more narrow and darker halls opened up a bit to more open spaces that were well lit and had windows occasionally showing the bleak landscape beyond the castle's walls. He then halted after making his way down the largest and most spacious corridor they had been down. At the very end was two ornate doors and less impressive doors flanking both sides. The guard went to one of these lesser doors.

Pushing the door open he stepping inside clearly expecting her to be close behind him. It was a fairly decent size room although it was quite empty besides a dresser and a bed. "You will not leave this room unless Her Majesty wishes it." With that said he gave her one last look of confusion and mild irritation. It would seem that Amara wasn't the only one contemplating why the Queen was doing this. Without another word the demon pushed past her and made his way out shutting the door heavily behind him. There were two doors in the room, the one they had entered in and another one the guard hadn't bothered explaining to her. There were some clothes folded very neatly at the foot of the bed for her as well.

  • Amara tried her best to keep pace with the guard however it was evident that he could move faster, either from his training or her rugged up state she wasn't too sure honestly. Still she didn't trail too far behind, only a foot or two at the most. She was feeling a bit less scared, which was strange. However thoughts about what might await her nearly awakened new tears.

She let out a sigh of relief as the corridors changed and got lit up better. She wouldn't be stumbling over her own feet as much anyone at the very least. The Elf was quick to follow the guard through the door and gaze around the room for a moment. It was a bit roomier than what she had expected.

Amara nodded in response to the order, remaining silent until the guard left. With the look he gave her she clearly wasn't the only confused one, and she wasn't sure if that was comforting or not honestly. She sighed in relief as she sat on the bed, taking a moment to rest and recover. After another moment the Elf examined the clothes curiously before she went over to the other door, pushing it open cautiously.

  • The door opened with a soft creak revealing the very lavish room on the other side. It was noticeably much larger than the room she had just been in previously. It was decorated with paintings and tapestries on the walls with a large bed in the center of the room. It seemed empty in the moment, no one coming to investigate the sound of the door opening. It was unclear who the room actually belonged to. Although it was elaborately decorated there was a clear lack of any personal items most things seeming to be completely unused. Still, there was a sound of another door opening and closing after a minute.

Soon a woman appeared strolling across the room without much of a care in the world. She didn't appear to have any demonic characteristics, no horns or strange eyes. She looked simply normal. Plopping down in a nearby chair she stared at the mirror in the far side of the room seeming quite intently staring at herself. Running her hands with through her light streaks of hair humming as she looked around.

As she looked around the woman seemed to notice Amara peaking through the open door. She quickly got to her feet crossing her arms over chest. "Hey! Who's there?!" She demanded storming towards the ajar door. "Who do you think you are spying in here!" The woman said even louder now as she got a good look at who she thought she had caught spying in here.

  • Amara had stepped almost halfway through the doorway as she looked around the room the artwork was rather interesting, although she didn't know much about art so she couldn't tell where the paintings might have come from. The door opening surprised her so the Elf quickly stepped back into the doorway and returned to just peeking out from there.

The woman was the most surprising part of the entire room at this point, making Amara even more confused. She seemed to be just a normal woman, no demonic traits at all. She half wondered if the woman was another prisoner like herself, although that though was thrown away when she was spotted.

The Elf jumped in surprise as the woman looked at her, almost instantly raising her hands as a sign of peace. "I-I'm so sorry ma'am! I-I was just looking around the room I swear I mean no harm!" She gulped and mentally chastised herself for spying like this, but it wasn't necessarily her fault she supposed.

  • The woman seemed to loose some of her furry seeing the Elf looking quite alarmed as she was found out, quickly trying to come up with a justification for why she was spying in the first place. Contemplating this answer for a moment she slowly uncrossed her arms taking in a deep breath. "You were just lucky that someone else didn't find you peaking in here. Most wouldn't be so forgiving." The woman shook her finger at Amara as if she were chastising a small child. She also seemed completely unaware of the fact that the Elf was completely in the dark of how things worked. So, she continued her lecture without any pause for a proper explanation.

"Do you even know how many have had their eyes gouged out for even peaking in here. Especially Non-demons." The woman went on before stopping for a moment to consider where the Elf was peaking in from. Clasping a hand over her mouth she shook her head. "Are you supposed to staying in that room?" She asked after she dropped her hand away from her face long enough to get the words out.

The woman shifted to peak into the room Amara was standing in. Then she turned around to look back at the room behind her. "Do you know who this room belongs to?" She asked slowly letting her hands fall to her sides as she looked back at the Elf maybe with a look of concern, which would probably come off as quite strange considering her lack of context for most anything.

  • Amara seemed a bit relieved when the woman didn't do anything too drastic, although she was a bit embarrassed by the whole situation. Still, she figured she might as well listen to this woman and see if she couldn't try to find out some semblance of what was going on.

She recoiled for a moment and grimaced at that thought. Having her eyes removed was definitely not something on her list of priorities, she just wanted to figure out why she was here. Preferably with as little pain involved as possible. She glanced back at the room and nodded. "I believe so."

The Elf started to get concerned herself when she noticed the other woman's concern. "N-No I'm afraid not. I-I just got here today and all I know is that, for some reason, the Queen wants me to change and get ready for something." Amara sighed and shrugged, her situation was really confusing and terrifying.

  • The woman stood back for a moment seeming to be mulling over something. She bit her lip as she looked back at the Elf for a few long moments before drawing out a long breath. "You really don't know much do you?" She asked almost sounding slightly irritated about the fact before shaking her head.

"This is the Queen's room. Since you are staying next to her, I guess she has a reason for wanting to keep you close." The woman mumbled almost thinking out loud to herself as she looked over the Elf in front of her. "The Queen must have something in mind for you then." The woman said although she started to quiet down a little as she said this.

"There have been a lot of whispering lately about the fact the Queen is taking a vested interest in all any new mortals that are brought in." The woman shook her head slightly as she looked over Amara finally seeming to notice how disheveled she appeared to be right now. "You should go get ready." She mumbled out quietly her eyes darting towards the door. She seemed to grow visibly nervous at the idea of the Queen returning and finding that the Elf hadn't changed, she visibly shiver at the thought. "Hurry." She urged shooing her along.

  • Amara bit her lip and nodded for a moment in response. Usually that would be an insult but she was too tired and way too confused to bother trying to form an argument. As the woman spoke again the Elf listened curiously.

She gulped whenever her fears had basically been confirmed, that was the Queen's room. What did the Queen want with her though? It seemed not even this woman was completely sure about why the Queen wanted to keep her close. She was a bit scared at that thought.

Amara hummed in thought as she considered that for a moment, she supposed the other was right about that. The Queen did inspect everyone herself after all. She was snapped out of her thoughts by the woman again, and she nodded in agreement. "Alright, th-thank you." The Elf gave her a small wave as she closed the door and went back to the bed. After only a minute Amara had the clothes on, examining herself in then for a moment.

  • The woman waved briefly. "Good luck." She whispered before the door closed and she turned to leave the room herself. The door could be heard clicking softly as it closed again. It wasn't long before there was slight knock on the door before Thana pulled it open standing in the door frame for a moment not seeming to have much to say. Gazing around the room first her dark eyes looked at the rather plain furnishing before they finally landed on Amara looking herself over in the mirror. Her heels clicked lightly as she took a step into the room, her eyes were fixed on Amara.

Giving a slight nod of approval at the fit of the clothing, it was rather plain and was more like the clothing mortals would where then what the demons seemed comfortable wearing. Where she got the clothing though was not clear. Taking another step into the room her heels echoed her with her long braid swaying softly with her movements. "Come." She finally spoke the word and turned to move to the door that lead to her own bedroom.

Walking into the more lavish room she waited for Amara to come through before shutting the door. Once in her room the Queen moved over towards a vanity setting herself down in front of it. She began to take off the trinkets from her elaborate braid. Her claws running through her hair. "Sit down." Thana glanced towards the Elf in the mirror's reflection. She gave no clear direction of where to sit though.
