ミTAGS &&by now, everyone knows there's been a little snow here and there. and it's no doubt a minor annoyance but manageable, overall. but today things have been different. what, it cant be said immediately. the sky is light, swathed in the alabaster-hued bed of clouds. everything appears... normal. but then there's this unreasonable tension in the air, one that chicago can't put a finger on until her daily roundabouts bring her towards the lake where a disappointing picture is painted. the sun has warmed enough to thaw the large body of water and now it sloshes over the sole deck, submerging it partially, and laps at the cold sand with a greedy tongue. "shit." she murmurs simply, lips pursing as her eyes survey the scene, her ruby-toned wisp floating soundly beside her. the dock has flooded.

TAGS ✦ ✧ ✦ — the snow was more of a nuisance than anything, but it was bearable. he just assumed it would have been a light snowfall, some that had forgotten to fall during the month of december. that's what made sense. so, when his mint hues had spotted a flooded dock, his suspicions arose. this didn't seem right. he had often enjoyed staying by the dock, enjoying the view it had offered and being able to dip into the water if he had wished. his ears had flicked back as he had came beside chica, a groan escaping him as he had surveyed the scene."any ideas of what to do?" came his voice, low and gruff. he really didn't want to deal with this shit.

ミTAGS && she tilts her head his way, a frown fluttering over her features. what to do? she isn't sure if there's anything to do at the moment or at least, anything to do about the flood itself. floods are like one of those things you have to just ride through, aren't they? "let's hurry up and evacuate everyone to higher ground, these kinds of things cover ground fast or somethin' like that." and hell, who knows if the water's done rising? to her it looks like it's only just started. the feline wheels on a heel, jerking her skull for saeran to follow.

"what's going on?"
the young female's voice was caked with worry, the tones of her mother and saeran flowing towards her ears. why was there talk of evacuation? though, she realized chica hadn't meant an evacuation of the territory altogether and quickly calmed herself; they weren't moving, nothing fatal of life-altering was going on. tequila then turned her gaze towards the dock, which had indeed been covered by the quiet laps of the lake. this was her favorite place in the territory and it was sinking. but... her mother didn't seem too frantic, so maybe all would be well.

jade perked up her ears, wincing slightly as she stretchdd out her one good wing,, and the torn one, before looking towards chica. her ears flattened against her skull, as the ethiopian wolf began to trek near her, nit sure what to say. she was still a bit hurt by chica just allowing her son to fucking go off, but then again, she was finding it harder and harder to stay away from her. sighing slightly, the injured she wolf limped nearby, folliwing closely.
