  • This probably isn't going to be as angsty as you expect it to be. The truth is, Elena was just really, truly fucking dumb. There was no way to tell that she had lost her memory; all of the facts and her basic knowledge was virtually gone, and she didn't even realize that she no longer could recollect her memory from before she escaped through a wire fence.

    What was she escaping from? She didn't know. All she knew was that whatever was behind the wire fence was bad enough for her to want to escape it.

    If she did have her memory, she probably would have remembered that daffodils were completely toxic to dogs. But fuck, they were so pretty. She stared at the flower intensely before making the decision to just...

    CHOMP.

    This took place two hours ago.

    Now Elena's entire body was on the ground, convulsing as vomit trickled from her mouth.

    Daffodils.
    They were so pretty.

  • FRAGILEPAST

    "TALKING" || 'THOUGHTS' || 'TELEPATHY'

    //iM LAUGHING

    The Shaderunner could deal with blood all he wanted. It's metallic smell reminded him of painful hard work, but vomit? No. Vomit was the epiphany of absolute disgust. The sudden income of it's smell was enough for the shaderunner to turn heel and go the other direction. Sadly, there were times where he had to deal with such things. Especially when he needed to be on the good boy list this month. Hitting Sekhmet and being promoted to vice-leader were two conflicting narratives he wasn't pleased about, but he would keep his word on one of them. "That's fucking nasty," he grumbled lowly as he got closer. Fragilepast would of normally changed the scent, but due to his power loss, he was unable to do so.

    Coming close, but not too close, he offered a crane of his head towards the canine. "Everything alright?" His words weren't caring. They were simply stern and to the point. If there was no problem here, he'd head on his way.

  • WHY IS MY REFLECTION SOMEONE I DON'T KNOW? —

    // OoF

    Ah, Sutekh didn't like the smell of puke. It almost made him want to puke, and yet... he was heading towards the source of the ungodly smell because puke usually meant someone needed help. Whether it was because of alcohol or a sickness... they needed help. But could he help them? Probably not, but maybe he could drag them to a place where help could be found. Sutekh stiffened upon seeing his father, so he breathed a sigh to calm himself before offering the older male a shaky smile as he approached. Turning towards Elena, he realized just how bad the situation was when he saw her convulsing like that and he called out in panic, "Q-Quasar! M-Molina!!"

  • 「 towers of gold are still too little — These hands could hold the world」

    Indrani had been following her father for the past hour or so out of curiosity as well as boredom. The hellion cub had taken an interest to him and how he functioned ever since the scene she witnessed between him and her mother. Seeing the blood painted across the leader’s face, her father apologizing profusely moments after he struck the blow.. It was somewhat of an eye-opening experience for a child of three months. She wasn’t necessarily scared of the newly acclaimed vice-leader, however. In fact, Indrani had an inquisitive approach to the situation as a whole. What had led Fragilepast to snap? Why were her parents fighting in the first place? Questions like thesewere ones she hoped to find answers to by trailing after her father.

    Except she didn’t find answers — she found a convulsing dog. The stench of vomit was putrid within the air and Indrani would scrunch up her nose as she approached the scene besides her father. “Is she dying?” The cub inquired emotionlessly.

  • YOU SCREAM but there's nobody to hear ! —

    Well, uh, shit. He'd heard the growing commotion and wandered over to see one of their newest members on the ground, convulsing and throwing up. That didn't seem good. Hearing Sutekh's call for the spiritcallers, he hurried over to the dog, thinking fast. "I don't think Quasar or Molina are gonna arrive just yet. I'm learning medicine." He said, running through a list of medicines and herbs he'd been reading per Quasar's instructions. "Damn, I need yarrow." he huffed, glancing around. Opening his wings, he flew over to a nearby spot where he'd seen some growing, plucked some, and rushed back. He placed the herb in front of Elena. "Swallow it. It'll cause you to vomit more, but it'll help dispell the toxins in your body. That's all I can think to do for now."

  • [ FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DO NOT LET UR DOGS EAT DAFFODILS ]

    Elena continued to convulse, her eyes rolling back into her skull. She had never felt this kind of sickness before – if she did, she couldn't remember. It was tough; trying to convince herself mentally that she was stronger than this – stronger than laying on the floor, vomiting.

    She didn't mean to cause a commotion. Having creatures gathering around her was frankly, quite embarrassing. Listening to Ozone's instructions, her tongue stuck out weakly as she tried to shovel yarrow into her mouth. She wasn't sure how vomiting could stop her from vomiting, but the best she could do was hope.

    Violently, her body convulsed once more. This time, she vomited a whole dandelion, soggy and stripped of the bright yellow color that daffodils were famous for.

  • Seeing his clanmate's body convulse like that as he ran over was a disturbing thing. Without knowing the context, it looked like a seizure, then came the gooey mess on the ground. Within an instant, his worry turned to shock and disbelief. Who the hell ate a daffodil?! Why would you eat a daffodil!? They don't have any nutritional value, they were just overrated yellow flowers that happened to contain toxins which were dangerous to canines. At least there was a silver lining... by the looks of the vomit she hadn't chosen to eaten the bulb. If she had, then... that convulsing probably would've ended her With several Shadow Veilers having medical knowledge, the white male wa.s pacing around the side lines once more, trying to ignore the ever growing feelings of incompetence. That didn't matter right now, his florally failed clanmate on the other hand, did. Frowning, heart beating of his chest and trying to balance the protective worrying and protective irritation, the wolf would turn to Soundcheck, hoping he wasn't interfering on Ozone's turf. "Get some water from some moss or something, she can't get dehydrated,". He blinked a couple of times, praying it wasn't a matter of life and death now that the daffodil had been spat up. Poison was only a thing he had dealt with once, that once had bee a fatality. "You still with us?" Com asked the patient, also praying to get an answer.

  • The smell of vomit hung in the air and she couldn't help but curl her muzzle in disdain. It wasn't a pleasant smell and she shook her head as she slowly walked forward, taking he time as she tried to maneuver herself. The scene she came to was of a new comer she knew to be Elena and her body convulsing as she spat up a daffodil. What the actual hell? Why'd she eat a plant? Weren't dogs primarily meat eaters? Her mind puzzle over this before she started to have a growing concern for the female as she laid there. Commonwealth called for someone to get water and without much thought the female left, paws scurrying away as she sought out something to carry some river water in. It took a moment before the queen returned and dropped a bowl of water before Ozone that she had gotten from the Reverse River, eyes shifting over to look at Elena. "Is she going to be alright?"

  • YOU SCREAM but there's nobody to hear ! —

    He flashed a grateful smile to Commonwealth, before spying Sekhmet arrive. The large feline went to fetch water, returning with a bowl and placing it at his feet. Ozone dipped his head and moved the bowl over to Elena, moving her head away from the vomit gently and pushing the bowl to her. "Drink slowly and in small bits." he instructed, before backing up and heaving a sigh. He glanced at the shadowkeeper and shrugged. "The daffodil seemed to have been the toxin, and it only looked like she ate one. After getting some rest and letting the yarrow get the rest of the poison out of her system she should be fine."

  • Quasar hung back as he watched the two handle the healing stuff. Did he put the girl's life in danger? Probably not, since it seemed she turned out alright. Besides, he could have come over if things turned out particularly bad. "Good work, you two -- nice teamwork," Quasar spoke with a nod. The two certainly worked well together, and they handled things. Even if Quasar tended to look down on 'magical herbs,' he wasn't one to argue about their effectiveness in these kinds of situations.

    "Elena, how're you feeling? You'll need to rest up more, like Ozone just said, but you'll be fine. Do you think you can keep drinking water or tea while you recover?" he asked her, as he considered the best way to keep her hydrated. Tea would likely help with the electrolytes, but she hadn't barfed that much, so she probably didn't need to drink it. He glanced at the others as he added, "Anyone want to volunteer to keep an eye on her for a few hours?" In case she started vomiting again or needed assistance with staying hydrated, best to have someone around her for the rest of her recovery.

  • YOU SCREAM but there's nobody to hear ! —

    Ah, there Quasar was. Had he been watching the entire time? At the praise, Ozone felt pride swell in his chest, and his tail wagged. By Quasar's response, the wolfdog supposed he'd done the right thing. At the mention of watching over her, his ears perked up. "I can do that. I have nothing better to do, anyways."
