This was where Sam lived, if Val was remembering correctly. Which was why he'd decided it should be one of the Clans he visited for his weekly task. Lugging a basket as he walked, he looked up to see River flying above him. It'd taken him forever to find this place and he was tired. Along the way, he'd had to ask several strangers to point him in the right direction - something he knew his father might not approve of if he were alive and here. But, he'd finally made it. Sitting down with a breath of relief, the cub felt the familiar weight being placed on his shoulders as his hawk landed softly. Now, all he had to do was wait. Hopefully, he'd get to see Sam, who he missed seeing around Riverside.

void emptiness yearning for bonds — Akumu — Thunderlands — tags
Akumu came forward, the black German Shepherd’s golden oculars focusinb on the lion cub. Huh, he looked an awful lot like.. her, almost. So it appeared that the black robot and her actually managed to have cubs. Who knew... still. He had half a mind to take this cub. Because Anakin took Navi and the other two, plus his leopard cubs. A growl formed on his maw. Well, they wouldn’t take his son again. He tried to stay welcoming, saying, "So what do you need?"

★ ★ ★ Sam had really been wanting to go visit the Riverside, but his accident made it impossible. He wanted to visit Shinginglight, Hope, and Val, because those were his closest friends in the clan. Enjoying the fact of being able to walk again, Samuel was taking a walk through the forest. Then a familiar scent filled his nose, and he trotted towards it.
Apon approaching the scene, he felt his neck hair stand up a little. Akumu. He still held a grudge against the other german shepherd who was supposedly Lucian’s dad. He knew it was probably true, but he still didnt want to believe it. Sam had been the one to practically raise the boy, so of course he felt like Lucian’s father.
Although, he decided to let that go..for a few minutes. His dark green gaze turned back to the lion cub, and he would walk over and attempt to hug him. “Val!” he spoke, his tail wagging behind him. “Its nice to see you again!”

Valemon was completely out of the loop when it came to his parents' pasts and who they'd known before. The cub had never even thought to ask about such things. In his eyes, they were both without fault. And, for now, so was this individual. If Akumu had shown any outward signs of aggression, Val didn't notice them. He smiled, happy to have caught the attention of at least one person. "Visit with presents," he said, pushing forward the basket full of treats, herbs, and a few special rocks painted by himself. "An' is frien' Sam...?"
He trailed off, hearing his name called by just who he was looking for. Valemon allowed the canine to embrace him, always happy to return a hug. "Nice to see Sam, too." He knew Sam was busy here and could understand how that felt. When Val himself had tried to spread out his time, spending some in Riverside and some in HawkClan, things had gotten exhausting quickly.
Quite agitated by Samuel's hug, River had flown to the ground, eyeing the leopard in particular. When Val spotted the last to approach, his gaze was much more friendly. "Hello!" Then, because he figured they might not have caught his name from Sam, he continued by introducing himself. "'m Valemon Skywalker."
