  • Yuki scoffs, a sound unlike him, and shajes his head.

“One day..” he grumbles, “she flipflops so quickly..”

“I miss my mum” she says softly, ehes shut as tears threaten to spill

  • Aurora laughed softly. ‘You just need to be a little more comfortable with them.’

‘Well there’s usually a reason behind that,’ Kazuma said softly. ‘It’s not your fault don’t get me wrong, but try being nice and expressing feelings.’

‘Momo...’ Haru said, getting down and rubbing her back. ‘Oh don’t cry...’

  • Yuki smiled and starts his paperwork again, “I’m happy how things are” he lied to himself.

“I’m not good at that!” He groans, flopping back.

She sniffles and rubs her eyes, “no I’m okay. She’s happier now.”

  • Aurora smiled widely at him. ‘Well good! That’s the way things should be.’

Kazuma snorted. ‘So why even bother with her in the first place? If she finds out that she isn’t worth your time she’ll move on.’

Haru frowned. ‘Your mother? Why, what’s happened?’

  • “Are you okay?” Yuki frowned.

He sat up and leaned against him, “but I’ve been conditioned that way”

“Years ago mum asked Hatori to erase her memory of Momiji. It hurt her not being able to cradle her baby. Unfortunately that meant forgetting me too..” momo smiled weakly

  • Aurora nodded softly. ‘I think I’ve got a little fever coming that’s all. Nothing serious. Just a headache.’

Kazuma held him close, smiling down at him. ‘And I’ve spent the last ten years trying to undo that.’

Haru tilted his head. ‘That’s awful,’ he murmured softly. ‘It isn’t fair what the curse does to families.’

  • Yuki leans over and puts a hand against her forehead, testing for a fever.

Kyo leaned against him, “I cant thank you enough.” He murmurs

“I have a little sister.” She chokes out, looking up at Haru. “Dad stayed with mum, she didn’t forget him. They have a little girl now and she’s absolutely adorable.”

  • It was burning hot, like a newly boiled kettle. She looked up at him, biting her lip.

Kazuma pressed his lips to Kyo’s head silently. ‘I can’t help you anymore unless you show people your true colours,’ he murmured.

Haru found himself unable to fully sympathise. ‘I understand,’ he said quietly. ‘It must be really hard for you and Momiji, but all members have gone through a suffering similar to that.’

  • Yuki sighed and stands up, holding out a hand for her. “Come on, you’re ill, you’re going to bed.”

Kyo huffs and pushes him away, walking down the garden a bit. “I dont even know them.”

“I know, I know, poor Kyo doesn’t have anyone. I have Momiji and occasionally my dad..” she smiled weakly and picked up the brushes

  • ‘Don’t be silly. I’m fine,’ Aurora smiled, crossing her legs. She picked up her magazine. ‘You worry far too much.’

Kazuma watched him silently. ‘You do, you know you do,’ he said, staying sat down. ‘Don’t kid Yourself.’

Haru smiled softly. ‘Yeah, some of us are lucky to have one family member,’ he said. ‘So that’s why when I have kids I’m gonna make them feel good about every one of their flaws.’

  • Yuki looked down at her, foot tapping impatiently.

He groaned and stayed standing, staring off into the distance.

Kisa grinned, running over to hug Haru and Momo.

Momoko crouched down and picked Kisa up, cuddlig her tight

  • Aurora sighed and looked up. ‘You’re not gonna let this go are you,’ she muttered.

Kazuma stood, now much sterner than before. ‘I’ll be staying here for the next few days. I want to see an improvement in your relations with all those in this house. Understood?’

Haru smiled softly, leaning back and watching the window.

  • “Hatsuharu...at some point we will have to tell Akito about us.” Momo says softly, Kisa’s head tucked under her chin.

Yuki shakes his head and holds his hand out again.

Kyo turns to face him, smiling slightly now, eyes a bit brighter, “you’re staying?”

  • Haru hesitated. ‘No, he can wait for a while,’ he said quietly.

Aurora sighed and scowled, taking his hand. She wobbled a little as she got up, before sneezing and with a poof, turned.

Kazuma grinned. ‘I’m glad you’re happy. I haven’t seen you in almost a year. Come on let’s go inside.’

  • Kyo nods and runs back over to him.

Yuki manages to catch her and starts walking to her room. “Miss Honda are you home?”

She nods and kisses his cheek gently

  • There was no answer. Aurora sniffled quietly. ‘I don’t think she’s back til tomorrow,’ she said, looking up.

Kazuma dropped his bags in the living room. ‘I owe Kagura and Hatsuharu a visit at the main house. I’ll be back later. Don’t wait up for me.’ He ruffled Kyo’s hair and took his leave.

Haru smiled and stretched his legs out with a soft bray.

Do You have any good plot ideas??

  • Not really, haventdone this for a while.

Yuki nods “okay, I think there’s some of her soup left in the freezer.” He opened her bedroom door and tucks her into bed.

Kyo nods and goes back into the house.
