    Marie’s eyes lit up at his suggestion. “That is a great idea! The perfect way to gather and speak to them. I’ll get that scedualed for as soon as possible!” She said excited. Her eyes then widened slightly as an important fact popped into her head.


    “Do you know the proper way to sit, drink and converse at a tea setting? “ she was not sure if he had seen or been in a higher class tea party before. Their was not to much to know, but she was aware how picky a few of te concubine could be for these things.

    Theodore tensed up as he heard her mention the proper actions involving tea. "Not exactly. I know I went through tutoring today, but I don't believe they covered that today. Maybe you could give me a crash course in it?"

    "Hmm. Yeah, I can do that!" She then quickly began talking about the important things of having tea with the concubines. She went one for hours before coming to a stop once she realized how long she had been speaking for. "That is all you really need to know for this type of setting. Ah! Its so late...lets get you ready for bed!" She quickly went to grab a pair of silk pajamas and went over to help him out of the outfit her wore.

    Theodore took in all the information, but the facts did happen to spiral in his mind. He just hoped that when he did have the tea with the concubines that he would be able to remember it all. He got changed with Maria's help and looked over at her. "You think the other concubines will like me?" he asked

    "Hmm..well your considering how you are, it would be unlikely for them to dislike you." Marie stated, thinking back to the times she had seen the other concubines. Theodore was a rather likeable person, so it was in very few cases that they would dislike him. Perhaps the ones searching for a higher position or as wanting the emperor as Rosaline may dislike him due to the Emperors favor of him.

    He thought about what she said and just nodded in agreement. He had a feeling that the only ones that wouldn't like him would be the others that are similar to Rosaline. "Well if most of the people like me, then I think I'll be fine"

    She nodded in agreement. “Now! Let’s get you to rest, you have to wake up earliy tomorow after all” she stated as she pulled back a blanket and pointed to te bed for him to lay down.

    Theodore simply nodded and cuddled up under the sheets. He was still running off the excited energy he had gotten from that night. For most of the night he slept fine, but around the early morning a nightmare entered his mind that forced him awake with a scream. He looked around frantically trying to see if he attracted any attention and noticed Marie awake

    Marie had been preparing his outfit for the day then became startled when a sudden scream filled the air. Her eyes widened a bit in panic in wonder if they were under attack but noticed it having been very close. So she looked over to see a wide awake Theodore who looked as if he had just been pushed off a cliff with his expression. She quickly made her way over to the bed and looked him over to make sure he was physically okay.


    "Theo, are you okay? Did you have a nightmare?" she asked him in a concerned tone once she saw he was physically okay.

    Theodore glanced back at Marie as she checked on him. He just simply nodded not managing to find the words to express his feelings. He hadn't had a nightmare in years and he felt embarrassed that it happened now. The nightmare was about Rosaline and he didn't exactly want to share all the details.


    "It's kind of stupid if you want me to be honest. Haven't had one since I was a kid anyway, but maybe some stresses with the work here must have gotten into my head"

    “What was it about?” The palace did tend to bring people nightmares when it came to its downsides. She hoped that he wouldn’t have to go through the intensity which was the harem. She was not sure why his majesty was keeping him in the harem anyway, especilly with the dangers. Well, whatever the case, it seemed Theodore was like s by the Emperor so things should turn out okay.


    “Things May get more hetic from here on out. So if it’s ever to much just tell me and I will make sure to get time in your sceduale for relaxation” after hearing of te nightmare she already had a hot spring in mind. As long as she could get the permission..

    Theodore looked at her for a moment before taking a deep breath trying to keep himself calm. Then he explained how his nightmare had been about Rosaline somehow succeeding in her goal. It really shook him up and it was clear from his facial expression. He didn't expect the nightmare to come true, but it still entered into his mind.


    He was surprised by her last offer, but he nodded. "I would really like that"

    Rosaline succeeding her goal was a truest terrifying thought. No wonder the nightmare had him awake in a scream.


    Marie gave a kind smile. “I wouldn’t want you becoming so taken by the stress you want to leave or go crazy” she had seen some commit suicide before in the harem. Though it was something that happened more with the past emperor ruling due to how much larger it had been then.


    “Now, Let’s get you ready for the day” she went to grab a small plate of a simple breakfast. Well for palace standards at least. The meal was very extravagant compared to a normal meal of a peasant. It was also filled with more rare foods then last time. This was due to his raise in rank.


    Marie had checked for poison already by using a sliver needle she carried around in her pocket. She would need to figure something out that e could do for any meals he was on his own for.


    She went to take a seat at the corner of the bed as she handed him his food. Easily now used to doing thing with him that with any other person in the harem would have her head fall off from ‘not knowin her own place’

    "I hope I won't do that. I'm sure you can keep me from doing so" Theodore admitted. He did trust Marie since she knew more about the castle life than he did.


    He was still surprised by the amount of food he was given since it was more than he had ever seen in his life. He still couldn't eat it all and offered Marie half of it.


    He was a bit curious about the plan for the day. "Marie, do you know what I need to do today?"

    "Yes, your schedule is completely packed for the day. I know exactly when you need to do what" She responded after taking the now empty plate and setting it off to the side. She then went to grab his outfit for the day. "First, we have a few lessons for the morning. Then afternoon tea. After that you are to attend the big meeting with the emperor and officials"

    Theodore listened intently as she explained the plan for the day. He was almost surprised at how much it was, but had a feeling that he could handle it. "I'm assuming there's not much time to stop and breathe, right?"

    “A few ten minute breaks, but considering you will be around others in public eye, the reality is no. You will not have much time for breathing. But you do have a section in your schedule to do anything nessasary or nap if you do desire, far later in the day however” she stated to him plainly. She hoped the day would go well.
